Can not fault the watering can cafe and bistro. The food is great, have had both breakfasts and lunches and are always delicious. Quick service and friendly staff. Highly recommended

The usual chaotic melt of non regulated entitled old people thinking they don’t have to queue before taking seats, leaving the people queuing for food and drinks with hot meals and no where to go.

This is the second time we have been, and both times they got our order wrong, 100% failure. The gentelman member of staff was not interested in our plight and did not care as if it was our fault that our order was incorrect Will not be back

Place order and wait for coffees - takes ages. Would be better if you ordered and they brought coffees out. Quiche tasty, massive salad (too much), nice mix of leaves but way too much onion, big dollop of unpleasant coleslaw. Chips tasteless. Lasagna - not sure whether not cooked properly or dried out when reheated - parts were inedible. Flat whites weak and tasteless. £28!

I have been here before and purchased only a honeycomb hot chocolate, so I was looking forward to see what they had available. My favourite was gone and I was feeling peckish so I purchased two sausage rolls, lemon slice, a hot chocolate and black coffee. The drinks were good, but the food was dry! Sausage rolls borderline inedible and I ended up binning it, I also saw lots of other food being left and binned. Lemon slice came and for the price I would not buy it again. Whilst it was tasty it was an absolute tiny portion, something that would probably not even satisfy my toddler! I felt bad for the staff, they didn’t seem like they had much support, one til working, big queue, other customers quite nasty. On more than one occasion they had forgotten peoples food, when I went back in line to buy a cold drink for the road, a few people were in line behind me complaining about missing items. Honestly I do not recommend wasting your money here, way to expensive for a less than average quality of food & service.

Went there recently for lunch. I have to say a good choice of menu. The cakes and scones looked lovely. Our meals arrived hot and well presented and tasty. Nice place to eat plenty of tables with the added bonus of a shop afterwards. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I have been back a few times since so that speaks volumes

Often pop in here for a snack and drink. Did breakfast today, fried egg sandwich and eggs florentine. Both delicious. Prices are very reasonable here and they have an excellent chef. Recommended.

Been to the garden centre many times but never visited the cafe as I live close by but on this occasion I was with my friend so we did. Certainly wasn’t disappointed, even though they were short staffed they were still cheerful and pleasant to us. My friend had a massive fruit scone which she enjoyed and I had the sausage, Stilton and chutney sandwich which was absolutely delicious. 😋 Will definitely be back for another meal.

We ordered one prawn and one tuna sandwich and I became very ill with severe diarrhea, which persisted for 48 hours. I was ill within an hour of eating clearly diseased prawns or out of date sauce, or both. I genuinely didn't want anyone else to suffer. I was asked to complete a three page form and the totally uncaring catering manager offered me a cheap voucher to eat there again. I will never eat at this restaurant again and urge others to be very careful about what you order.

My friend and I called in for lunch and a catch up on a wet and wild February day. We both ordered the bacon, brie and cranberry panini and thoroughly enjoyed them. The only slight negative was the amount of white yucky fat on the bacon which we had to cut off. If I visited again, I would definitely have to ask that it be cooked for longer - crispy bacon is a must for me.

Had a superb lunch of bacon Brie and cranberry toastie and coffee. Just over £8. Excellent value. Took 30 minutes to arrive but it was well worth waiting. Absolutely delicious. If it had been a little quicker then I would have given 5 stars.

Dropped in, and on the face of it, it's a bright airy nicely decorated cafe The menus seemed varied, but quite grubby. Printed on paper, but in need of renewing We decided on the food, and when we got to the till Homemade Welsh rarebit - don't do that Vegetarian breakfast - stops at 11:30 (which was in tiny writing on the menu) So then we trawled through the menu, and apart from cake, toasted tracker, scones, the only vegetarian food was cheese in various forms in a sandwich or jacket potatoe, mushroom soup, or chips, egg & beans Forget it if you are vegan and you want to eat ! Very surprising for a modern cafe to have such a poor choice

Queued to order, which was only 3 drinks. Took 15 minutes to arrive. No milk or hot water arrived as requested. Flies were everywhere. Settling on edge of cups and saucers, which were to be used... Dissatisfied and disappointed.

got overcharged for an ice cream when it should have been £3 and got charged £9.25 instead and when I went to tell a member of staff I was told to speak to the manager and got told she was busy so I had to leave my name and number and said she will ring me soon. I never got a phone call and it’s been 3 days now of the repeat so my advice to you is if you go there please do not make any payments on card as you may be charged more then for what you actually payed for

Served by Charlotte and Lucy, both very welcoming and chatty. Exceptional customer service and I would hope they get some commendation for their work!

Visited after swimming with the grandchildren. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. One item on kids menu no longer available, should have been crossed out as my granddaughter asked for this then had to rechoose at the counter, holding up the que, staff was patient about this but could have been avoided. Did swop beans for cucumber which was good Discount for members which is good. Food was tasty and hot and good value for money. Place was clean and tidy. Dog friendly in front bit of cafe.

first few times the super steps breakfast was really good. Friendly staff good prices. Within the last few days went again but although the breakfast was the same size the addition of a 6" piece of human hair on the plate was off putting to say the least. Not going again
