Queued to order, which was only 3 drinks. Took 15 minutes to arrive. No milk or hot water arrived as requested. Flies were everywhere. Settling on edge of cups and saucers, which were to be used... Dissatisfied and disappointed.

Stood for over 5 minutes at the counter wanting to order lunch and was totally ignored. Asked a member of staff if I was stood in the right place to order and she said yes. Pay and they would deliver to table. She then went about her work. Waited another couple of minutes and even though staff were preparing food and drink I wasn't acknowledged in the slightest. Left disgusted.

Very poor coffee.for a high price

Disgusting don’t eat here!! the manageress is aggressive, shouts at customers and the staff are incapable of getting an order correct. I visited with my sister had to ask twice for my 2 slices of toast that we had ordered half an hour before. Then a very aggressive lady started shouting at us that they didn’t have it on the order as if it was our fault that they had not added it. Despite us checking at the counter and being told it was on the way. We tried to explain but she got even more aggressive accusing us of shouting at her, she then ordered us out of her cafe and started filming us on her phone at which point in her haste to get out my sister tripped trying and knocked the table accidentally and the drinks spilt. We were accused of doing it on purpose my sister is on her 70’s and yet this thought it was ok to bully her shame on her. DISGUSTING AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! I THINK THE OWNER MAYBE NEEDS TO SEND HERSELF ON A CUSTOMER SERVICE COURSE REGARDING THE BELOW REPLY NONE OF IT IS TRUE EXCEPT THE PART WERE WE WERE ASKED TO LEAVE VERY AGGRESSIVELY BY THE VERY AGGRESSIVE OWNER LOOK AT GHE PREVIOUS REVIEWS 😀

I visited this place last week whilst away. I was absolutely disgusted with the manner in which the 'owner' I'm presuming shouted at his staff in the kitchen. I can honestly say the lady that served us remained professional throughout where if that was me I would have left the cafe not to return. It's safe to say I will not be returning. This created an awful atmosphere and lead to not a very enjoyable experience.

We had breakfast here it was hot and tasty the staff were friendly.i would return here please try if you come to free port

Online customer here...not a fan of the online review system, but I'll make this exception as my experience was simply weird and unprofessional. First of all, decent coffee beans...Credit where credit is due...hence 2 stars. I’ve bought coffee online from Fresco for years, even bypassing their ebay listings and buying direct to ‘help out a small business’. They infrequently offer discounts, so when a 10% off offer arrived, I bought a few bags. 4 days afterwards, a one day offer of 15% arrived, putting their entire customer base in a position of having to buy twice to achieve any further saving. I told them I felt this took advantage of their customer base (and did not buy twice.) Ultimately, when my original order arrived, one of the 1kg bags appeared to have been chewed open then re-sealed with clear tape (see picture). Whether this was by a small creature or a hungry courier driver, I’m not sure…what I did feel strongly about was that I didn’t want a bag of coffee that was clearly unsealed. At no point did I imply that I wanted a free bag, instead I offered to return the unsealed bag at my expense. Fresco ignored a message via Facebook, multiple emails, and several attempts on their contact form have gone unanswered. Finally, a post asking them to ‘please be better and fix this’ on their Facebook page was deleted almost immediately. So, this is my final Fresco experience…(Gosh, I do hope I’ll be able to find someone else to sell me coffee?) In trying to support a small business, I’m left with unsealed, tainted coffee and an utter absence of customer service in trying to correct it. Had I bought coffee from Amazon, this would have been sorted out almost immediately. Lesson learned.

Absolutely appalling service. Two young girls didn’t looked they care about their job. Dirty tables. Really slow service. I saw one of the girls clean half a table. We asked for a tea and never got it. They need more staff!!! Get it sorted. The food was delicious though! So that’s one positive!

Called for food and drinks, stopped food but yet still advertising it on the counter. All the tables had dirty crockery on them. We and other customers had to clear the tables to sit down for a drink. Disorganised service, wrong drinks served to many customers. Expensive food and drinks. Service without a smile. Won't be going again

Coffee is weak tasteless and severed in half cups. food is deep fat fried and stinks the whole place out, staff are rude and unwilling to help, tables left for over 45 minutes uncleared with people having to clear plates of the last people who sat there. Looking at other reviews a lot of them seem fake or those people have very low standards. What killed it for me was when I complained I was just to that's how we do it. Jay avoid this place

We have started popping in for a cuppa, we decided to have something to eat the other day, my husband had a breakfast and really enjoyed it. I had a big hot dog it was spot on. Will definitely be back.

Staff are friendly, informative, knowledgeable about our allergens. The food ( full English) was so tasty and filling, then a beautiful slice of lemon and elderflower cake. This is now one of our favourite places. Recommend to everyone

Stopped by for a quick coffee and an afternoon treat. Service at the counter was a tad slow however this was because everything was being freshly prepared and the cafe was busy. When I got my order it was really well presented and tasty. Worth the money and this made up for the wait. Will 💯 visit again again in the near future.

I come here regular now for my brunch and enjoy either a panini or breakfast bap…good quality ingredients and always have a giggle with the staff…they couldn’t do enough for you 👍

Ordered 2 X bangers and mash and kids chicken nuggets and chips, had to sit at mucky table even though there were hardly any customers, 1 X bangers n mash and nuggets came out, 2 tiny burnt on the outside cold pink sausage on the inside and a dollop of cold smash and kids nuggets came out but no sign of the second bangers and mash, waited a few minutes then approached staff who quickly went to the back, came back admitted it had been missed of the order, 10 minutes later 2 more burnt on the outside cold on the inside sausage with a desert spoon of cold smash appeared, me n mum just burst out laughing, felt like I was in a Victoria wood sketch.... Come on how hard is it to wipe a table and serve decent bangers and mash at the same time, when you have one other family in the cafe you are hardly rushed off your feet, minimum effort but very pleasant staff none the less, wont visit again.... Was gobsmacked £40 for cold burnt food at a mucky table and all didn't eat at the same time.... My daughter enjoyed her nuggets though to be fair.

Called today and our first two choices from menu were unavailable so settled for 2 warm sausage rolls and 2 teas. The sausage rolls were blasted in microwave and were too hot to handle, (no cutlery/napkins provided) and the pastry was very limp. We were given the minutist amount of milk with the tea and charged £10.90 for the privilege. Obviously will not be returning.

Stopped for a coffee ordered large Americanos good value for money and quality coffee sat outside as we had the dog with us, not dog friendly inside but a small canopy that has a few tables underneath if it's raining.

Called in for coffee as the sun was shinning and there was outdoor seating. We waited ages for a lack lustre coffee and a very dry cake. The servers also wre clearly not happy in their work

Slow service, small portions! Adult sausage and mash for £9.95, was same size portions as kids meal for £5.95! Only difference was the tiny Yorkshire pudding you get on the adult meal. That made it £4 extra just for the Yorkshire pudding!! Chilli n cheese Panini had only a smidge of chilli in it and not much cheese. Only good thing was the coffee.

Deplorable!!! That's the only way to describe this so called cafe. On entering we noticed lots of young girls standing about (Staff) gossiping about thier boyfriends, hair,nails etc. When we finally got the attention of one of the girls she rather reluctantly took our order. I went for 2 sausages mash peas and Yorkshire pudding my wife decided on jacket potato with cheese. The order came out, jacket potato 1st with CHILE CONCARNIE!!! I knew the girl at the till wasn't taking any notice. Mine came next (minus the Yorkshire pudding) which I had to request at the counter. The frozen small aunt Bessie finally arrived fresh from the ping ping of the microwave. We also had to ask for clean cutlery as both sets we had were filthy. On leaving I mentioned our disgusting experience to one of the young girls, she just laughed in my face. AVOID THIS JOKE OF A SO CALLED CAFE RUN BY SCHOOLKIDS, my advice would be go into Hornsea and find a proper cafe.

Had the full English yesterday and it was very nice. Good sized helping and although the mushrooms were not as cooked as you might usually expect, they were actually very tasty, I think I actually preferred them a little firmer. Service was good but the place does smell a bit greasy and could probably do with better extraction.

I ordered coffee from this place on June 22nd, it's now August and I have not received my coffee. This is hands down the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I've been hung up on numerous times, promised a refund (hasn't arrived), promised a call back (never happened). Apparently the people that can deal with my issue never seem to be in or have 'just' left when I call. Do yourself a favor and stay clear, go to Starbucks. Places like this give small businesses a bad name.

I have aways enjoyed it here but my late visit was apparently not tne normal I have thought for a few weeks to post or not . When I went there was two younger ladies on serveomg I feel that something had happened due to coumaction between them both ways was very basic and only what needed to He said in a blunt and rude way . I had to keep reminding one of them my orders as I had to pay separately. But she was saying you can’t do that have to pay in one go. Asked for Luke warm drinks for a reason but was asked why would you want a hot drink Luke warn I had to explain y a few times. This experience has put me off visiting the cafe there there are a few more coffee options at Hornsea Freeport

Staff friendly and don't rush you. Nice place and very clean. The drink was really, really good. Have eaten here on a previous visit, and that was good too.

Arabica coffee is 100 percent. I adore it very much, but their service in responding to messages is bad service through the website. Please amend this situation because it is disgusting to customers. Thank you

Service was abysmal. Waited 30 minutes for 3 cups of coffee. When I asked how much longer I would have to wait it was met with a shrug of the shoulders and no comment. Would have been more patient if there were more than 6 customers!

I ordered ground coffee on their website It never turned up I called them I messaged them on their website I messaged them on Facebook I never got a reply to any of them I was a regular customer, I ordered ground coffee every month I spent £100 every time They have now lost a loyal customer

Absolutely terrible. Staff don't know what they are doing. Messed all our food orders up. Small guy serving had no idea what he was doing. Filthy tables, stinks of grease as soon as you Walk in....didn't even get the food right. Ordered baked potatoes, didn't get one of them because of small guy. Then second baked potato arrived with total wrong topping and mouldy cheese! Chicken nuggets for child were revolting. Cold chips. Waited 20 minutes for new potatoes to be cooked and still wrong toppings. The worst place ever. Don't bother Don't waste your money

Coffee was beautiful but staff lacking. Ordered 1 Cappuccino and 1 Americano, both decaff. Repeated my order three times before the girl understood. Also ordered one mince pie. We sat down and she brought the coffees. Agreeably cups were full but there was a saucer full of coffee which was put on the table. She didn't offer to bring a clean saucer or a napkin. She had to reminded about the mince pie. I used the napkin with the mince pie to mop up the spilt coffee. Such a shame because this is a lovely little business and we do enjoy the coffee. We will go again but others may be put off by lack of customer service. Sorry

What a great place, popped in for coffee & cake. Excellent staff, and felt very welcoming. 100% coming back. Even bought myself some insta-coffee! Shame about the limited selection on hot-chocolate, but apart from that, brilliant!

Went for a drink with my family and ordered a black coffee and two hot chocolates. After chasing up where the drinks were told there was only one person who could make the drinks.half an hour later the drinks came but we’re cold. Terrible service and dirty pots on a few tables which were left until someone moved them ( customers to another table so they could sit down) Definitely won’t be going back and won’t recommend this cafe to anybody.

Enjoyed a beautiful Luch here today both the Scampi chips and peas and the chilli & chips were great ! Tasted amazing and the presentation was lovely best tasting scampi weve had in a long while . Hot fresh and tasty highly recommend. Will be back Rhodes family x

Called here Friday morning 6th may 2022. Reasonable menu and prices. The service was awful as were the drinks. Took ages for drinks to be delivered to the table and the lad just slams it on the table, sloshes everywhere, no offer of a serviette to mop the saucer and not a sorry. other people were also moaning about the place. It does not represent the owner thorntons.

Absolutely beautiful food. I had sausage roll, chips and beans and my wife had all day breakfast. The young lads serving and preparing food were great. Hygiene practises aswell. Fab. Watched him change his gloves 4 times in between doing different things. Keep up the good work lads!

As we were staying locally we popped into Hornsea Freeport. Fancied a coffee and something to eat so popped into this cafe. It wasn’t too busy and there were 2 staff on, but it was like I was invisible. I stood at the till then we moved to a table. No one spoke to us so I went back to the till and was still completely ignored. We left and went elsewhere. Disappointing when staff can’t just be helpful and pleasant with basic manners.

Called here for a drink and cake before setting off back home. The coffee is the nicest I have ever drunk, although we were too late for proper cakes as hey had all been sold as it was after 4, and had to make do with prepacked ones , which were still very nice.

Had a lovely couple of coffee's and paninis and a sausage roll for the dog 🐕. Very friendly staff, quick and efficient service and a lovely setting for a light lunch whilst out shopping at the Freeport

We were delighted to find gluten and dairy free cakes, the first place in Hornsea we have come across! It's a lovely coffee shop with a great ambience and friendly service. Coffee is good too!

Fantastic coffee here and the kids LOVE the hot chocolates. Always found the staff friendly and helpful. It's also great to still have a Thornton's local that can do personalised chocolate gifts!

Visited before & always lovely, the difference this time is that they have started to offer some gluten free options to the menu - gluten free sausage sarnie was really nice as was the rest of our meals.

I have had Fresco 'Gourmet' Coffee before and it was not that gourmet. Much better coffee is available online.I asked a member of staff about their coffee beans roasted in vanilla and similar essences and he was sarcastic. I am not an idiot and do not like being treated as one. The coffee tasted somewhat muddy anyway.

ordered inside the cafe at a distance from others, went outside to sit but had quite a long wait for our drinks to arrive. When we passed a long time after, our cups were still on the table we had used.

Very poor experience in this cafe today. All available tables had dirty pots on and despite asking for them to be moved and the table cleaned they were still there when our lunch arrived. The dirty pots were then taken away but the table was not sanitised which is against covid regulations. We saw this happenning at lots of tables here. There was no coordination with the staff running the cafe. The food here was very mediocre and based on this and poor hygiene we will not be returning.

Just when we feared we were doomed to wander forever in the soulless and depressing surrounds of this last-legs shopping mall we came across this welcome break. Plenty of coffees, teas and accessories to be had if you want them. We opted for a couple of cups of coffee - prepared individually by the friendly member of staff left holding the fort on a damp midweek morning. Full marks to her, her coffee and the comfy chairs. No marks to Freeport.

Myself and my partner called in and decided on a hot choc. Had to wait a few minutes to be served when there was no queue(not a problem) the staff were friendly albeit overworked and understaffed at that moment in time. Prices were reasonable. There were a few empty tables covered in dirty dishes a sign of my earlier observation. We sat amongst the stock. Lovely range of crockery to purchase.

Yes the price of the cappuccino was cheap at £2. Mine was hot but tasted really weak. Hubbies had froth 2 inches deep and hardly any liquid coffee. I left half of mine as like I say it was too weak. Didn't encourage me to purchase coffee to use at home and we drink proper coffee all of the time.

Having a walk around this outlet, I noticed people sat outside Fresco coffee having coffee. Never seen the seating before but was a lovely day so thought I would do the same. The smell of coffee hits you when you walk through the door. Heavenly. Never seen so many varieties of coffee to buy before. Coffee was just as I like it hot and strong.

We stopped for a few minutes break when visiting the outlet stores. I love Thirnton’s Coffee shops normally, having been used to the one that was at the outlet place near Mansfield, but this one seemed to be a coffee house that sold Thorntons, rather than being operated by them. So, the little taster chocolate on the side of drinks of tea or coffee that we have been used to wasn’t offered. The tea and coffee were good, the young woman serving was very friendly and the air conditioning was welcome. There was a good choice of different types of seating. But by twenty to four in the afternoon the slices of cake (Victoria sponge and coffee and walnut) that we were served were way too dry, as if stale,That might have happened over a day, but really they shouldn’t have been sold at full price. Disappointing as a stop off for tea and cake but the Thornton’s chocolate prices looked good and they also so.d team and coffee as gifts or to make at home. By no means a gourmet place though.

Very pleasant staff, changed table as a bit sticky. Capachino lovely, tea a home made affair, cup with hot water, and a tea bag in a packet. Would have preferred a tea pot. Couple of cheese toasties quite good for a light bite. Ice-cream on leaving was a nice treat

Have ordered this coffee to be posted to me! Have always received great customer service, both in the cafe and through the website. Fantastic range of flavours; the young and passionate staff in the shop even took the time to explain the flavouring processes to me!

Visited on a Saturday morning for a drink and a bite to eat, coffee was ok but the staff just didn't seem bothered. Annoying loud door chime going off every 30 seconds as people entered and left and we just could not relax.

Visited Freeport while on holiday January 2019. Great service from friendly staff, prices reasonable.

Poor. I've tried this place 3 times. The first time I went, the hot chocolate drink was cold so the second time I went, I told them and asked if I could have it extra hot. The lady obliged and it was good so went again today. The hot chocolate was cold. Asked if they had a microwave, she said yes, asked her if she could warm it up, she said no. She said it was warm enough. I didn't bother trying to drink a cold chocolate and won't bother trying them again. The 2 young girls were more interested in playing with their electronic toys and asking Google or alexa or whatever it was questions with a young male assistant than dealing with real life customers. Perhaps get a more experienced person in to supervise

My husband and I have just been to this shop at Hornsea Freeport to buy some coffee for our cafeteria, I would just like to say that the service from Lauren was so helpful and knowledgable, she was so patient and nothing was too much trouble.

Not the best I've had, coffee was barely warm & the cinnamon swirl pastry was a tad dry. Won't return.

Appalling service. Asked for 3 chai lattes and 3 chai teas arrived. No-one knew how to make them and had to look for another member of staff to help. When the arrived they tasted dreadful - will definitely not be using this shop again

We recently visited the coffee shop at Hornsey free port and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. So much so that we bought a new cafetière and a few packets of coffee.

Good coffee supplier. Takeaway and drink in cafe is also good.

As they have failed to reply to the last two e-mails I have sent them, I don't use them anymore. I find it very bad manners and terrible customer service not to answer queries from a customer.

I met my friend and we decided to go here instead of our usual place, well the coffee is amazing, you can buy the coffee to take home with you which is a plus, the staff are friendly helpful and efficient, you do not realise it's a coffee shop unless you stop to take a look, well worth a visit if you are in the freeport

I visited this store for the first time when it was in a smaller location. Now its bigger and lots better. They serve coffee, tea, hot chocolate and its the best I have ever tried. There are a huge selection of other drinks, cakes, buns, biscuits and ice creams! They have a massive range of flavoured coffee beans and tea as well as coffee beans from all over the world. They even have their own flavoured instant coffee now! One very happy customer!!!

Excellent coffee served - nice selection of coffees and very reasonably prices when you look at other providers of repute. Only issue I have is that they currently only offer a limited selection of biscuits to go with their coffees they need to offer a bigger range to keep the customers coming!

I LOVE this Company. Their Customer Service is second to none and I have always received my orders in double quick time. My husband drinks their Decaf coffees and loves them all. Their Decaf is so amazing that, when I have given it to various guests they didn't even realise that they were drinking Decaf coffee. Now that is a good sign of an incredibly tasting Decaf coffee. I buy from Fresco Coffee regularly, purchasing not only coffee but their chocolate covered nuts, coffee beans, flavoured teas and even the odd bit of equipment to aid me in and tea and coffee making abilities. I Highly Recommend Fresco Coffee to anyone. Fantastic Company, amazing tea and coffee. Lee, Northern Ireland

Once you have ordered coffee from Fresco - you'll never order it from anyone else! I am hooked - the quality is excellent and the prices are the best I've found! Brilliant

Love coffee? Then Fresco Gormet Coffee is definitely worth a look. I buy online and have been a member of the coffee club for the last few years. This means I get a bag of the Coffee of the Month delivered to my door at the beginning of every month without having to do anything, plus I get 10% off anything I purchase. You can buy beans, or get them ground to suit your machine and you can choose from 'ordinary' coffee from around the world, flavoured, or more specialist ones like Kopi Luwak, Kona or Blue Mountain. There really is a coffee for everyone and I've still not tried them all yet. In fact, I've had to make a table on my laptop to keep track of which I've tried and what I thought of the flavour!
