Cappuccinos in East Riding of Yorkshire

got overcharged for an ice cream when it should have been £3 and got charged £9.25 instead and when I went to tell a member of staff I was told to speak to the manager and got told she was busy so I had to leave my name and number and said she will ring me soon. I never got a phone call and it’s been 3 days now of the repeat so my advice to you is if you go there please do not make any payments on card as you may be charged more then for what you actually payed for

Honestly, this run down little shop deserves all of the poor reviews. On writing my own review I realise it's a drop in the ocean, and nothing will make these poor quality vendors bothered. My experience was simple. Bought almost £20 worth of ice creams served by a teenager who was cheaper pay over experience I'm guessing as the plop of overpriced slop fell off of the cone as she handed it to us. When naturally expecting her to replace it, it was a case of 'I will have to charge you'.... eh?? Its just dropped off infront of you - completely disgusting ,big awful lady behind the counter.

Absolutely vile. We bought 6 ice cream for approx £16, and found a long black hair in the ice cream!! Absolutely vile. The girl who served us wasn't even wearing a hair net. Find another ice cream shop to go to!

Well this is not a isolated poor review if you read some of the others regarding service and food also poor. I bought ice cream which melted over my hands and dropped onto my trousers within 30 seconds . I couldn't lick it fast enough to stop the flow. Yes I took it back I had only walked across the road. Wouldn't refund me as I stood with it melting all over.They said it was a hot day! That's what they told another not happy reviewer Funny that because on a hotter day the ice-cream from the cafe a bit further down on the sea front I sat for ten mins enjoying hardly melted I suppose the clue is in the name ICE CREAM. So do they have the freezer turned up there but not at this cafe ?. The youth serving probably the one someone else described as having an attitude wasn't interested. SO ADVICE. If visiting Bridlington read reviews and you will find loads of cafes and ice Cream make your choice because I've made mine I won't be going there for anything ever. You can always stay in business with loads of holiday makers at your door !!. Not for me this place .

Service was quick and friendly. Nice drinks. An ideal spot in the north of Brid.

Absolutely shocking ....2 so called large hot chocolates, which were a small and 2 eccles cakes £10.10!!!! I know we are in hard times and your trying to recoup wjat you have lost in lockdowns ,but that is daylight robbery and we wont be going back again. The hot chocolate was a basic cheap powder,no marshmallows or cream. Dread to think how much extra that would have been.

Called in for an ice cream and some lollies for my children and was “served” by an oddly rude and confrontational teenager. When we mentioned that the ice cream was virtually melted when we were given it, and could we swap it, we were told........“I don’t know what you want ME to do about it, it’s hot outside.” He then shouted at my wife that the payment hadn’t gone through, before he had actually asked her to pay! So we politely returned the rubbish ice creams and told him to keep them. Bizarre and unnecessary experience! Definitely one to avoid.

I would love to be able to write a lovely review about this place in a good prime location on the north side of bridlington beach but unfortunately it is not. I meet my family on the sea front for an ice cream. My youngest did not wanna eat it so after 3 of us trying it it tasted off leaving horrible taste in our mouth. So I went over to tell them but lady was having none of it. And continued to tell me she has a very expensive machine that cleans itself all the time and tops it up thought out the day while she spooned ice cream in her mouth telling me it is lovely. Hmm no apology was given or refund offered.

My boyfriend bought bottles of water from the shop next door while we were eating here (we had bought ice cream and waffles and milkshake) as this place didnt do card. My boyfriend was screamed at by a horrible moany member of staff and shouted at to not eat food when he was only carrying a bag that had bottled water in??? And asked why he didnt buy it from this shop? Could have just been given a friendly reminder not to eat instead of aggression over losing business. WE HAD NOT EVEN OPENED THE BAG TO GET WATER OUT SO NO ARGUMENT NEEDED Pathetic, need to learn some people skills. If you cant be nice to people dont work in this field!!! Disgusting

Stopped for a coffee, and it was lovely. The place was clean & tidy, friendly staff & dogs welcome on one side of the restaurant. Although we didn't eat, the menu looked good, as did the breakfasts that were being served. Worth a visit if you're at the North end of Brid.

It's a coffee shop, not a lot to say really, it serves coffee and tea,cakes etc,ice creams, buckets and spades, beachy stuff. Staff are very pleasant and polite although had to wait 10 mins for a coffee. Outside seating area is OK so long as wind is not blowing off the sea.

Fantastic views. Service friendly. Food and drinks good.great place to sit and watch the world go by.

A very small Coffee shop with outside area for drinking, such a shame the coffee is not the best ,very poor quality, the view was nice .

The Staff are lovely and very Obliging to help with your requests and will make your visit to cappuccinos the best experience around Bridlington with outside seating area with views over the Bay, whilst enjoying your Ice Cream or Coffee of various types or Tea of various Type from Plain Tea to Speciality Teas.

It's situated very close to the finishing point for the Way of the Roses bike ride. But after completing it and getting a bite to eat, the Scampi and Chips looked like a child's portion. Takes cash only although there was a note to say card machine coming soon.

Set on the corner overlooking the North bay sands and sea. Always a nice drink and toasted tea cake with nice friendly staff

Crap coffee i have better coffee at home and the price for it is silly. My dad is like coming here but after changing the coffee supplier it has gone down hill. We are never coming back

We have normally just had ice cream and coffee here and never been disappointed. Not a huge range of flavours, but a very useful seating area outside. Unfortunately we have never been at the right time for the restaurant to be open but will keep trying!

We were very disappointed with our experience at Cappuccinos... the tables were sticky and unclean, we asked for some table water which came in a dirty jug this was replaced but the next one was much the same. The food was below average and had the wrong ingredients to that on the menu. The also only take cash!! If you're looking to have a nice lunch in a clean environment with good food I would not go here!

Metimos en un café mientras visitaba Bridlington con amigos de la familia.Nos sentamos en la zona exterior que se llena un poco, especialmente si tienes que maniobrar una silla de empuje entre los asientos.La zona de estar tiene vistas a la playa y el mar del Norte, lo cual está bien en un día precioso.El café es bueno y a un precio razonable, las galletas son preciosas, nunca tuvimos una mala en cualquiera de nuestras visitas.

Nice outdoor seating overlooking the sea but service is very slow. Waited ages for 2 coffees which were only luke warm when they arrived.

A friendly,well priced place. The staff where quick to serve,smiles too. Felt no pressure to move on once finished my drink.

We visited here on a Wednesday lunchtime, wasn't overly busy and we ordered 2 portions of chips and a children sandwich, along with a couple of drinks. The lady who took our order was quite abrupt, & I commented to my husband that I wondered if we would get the correct order and how long we would have to wait... compared to others we didn't have to wait too long, but considering chips seemed to come with every other order we had to wait over 30mins. Other tables who had children to feed were complaining and receiving refunds without question.. I'm just glad we hadn't ordered a meal. Tables with just 3 people were receiving lunches at different times and the first person had finished before the next had received theirs. This establishment would be ok for a takeway or a drink but I would not eat there again and doubt we would return there.

Yeah this visit was a real let down. The coffee is no where near as good now as it was last time we visited. The Cappuccino is no longer topped off with real grated chocolate. The milk was too hot and not enough head, the coffee too was not good. The taste was very weak almost none existent. It's a shame really because this place used to be so good, now it's just over priced and pointless paying more here than anywhere else.
