Costa in East Riding of Yorkshire

Since this place has had a new manager it's been awesome. The service is amazing now. Can't fault it. It always seems clean now. The manager is super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If there is anything wrong with your order then just tell him and he'll sort it.

The man with glasses was staring at his much younger co workers whilst they were bending down to get things out of the fridge, really creepy! Absolutely shocking service the man with glasses was so arrogant and didn’t seem to know what he was doing. 3 people stood behind the bar whilst pots are stacked up and the tables are filthy! This place needs clothing down it is absolutely disgusting! Will not be visiting again.

Young girls are rude. Stood behind counter chatting. Pulling up the leggings. No smile whilst serving. Tables nasty toilets disgusting. Cutlery filthy. Nasty horrible place. Shut it down.

Friendly staff, clean environment and a lovely coffee.

Everything was grimy and disgusting, Coffee machine looked like it had bot been cleaned for a year! Milk jugs dried milk all down them, The toilets, WOW! absolutely disgusting, dirty floors, tables and windows. Place needs closing down. Scarborough and Eastfield Costa's far more superior and the staff are nicer!

If I could not give it a star I would , we walked in with my furbaby which the staff saw we sat down I went to order nothing said , the girl brought my order to the table and asked if my dog was a guild dog I said really with my reply was no ,she said well you can't be in here I asked for my money back which a girl said she would have to ring the manager I said thats fine I still want my money which I did , horrible and dirty place wouldn't go again also staff not friendly we won't be going again

Two young girls serving when they weren't talking. 7 people walked out as the wait was so long. I had to interrupt them talking to get served. They even left the counter empty to go outside to vape. They need supervision as they are losing customers big time. Tables were cluttered when they went out and one couple said they had never waited so long for a coffee toilet was a disgrace. Do something about this please

Just walked in Costas at Bridlington and came straight out, dirty shop, the jugs they use for frothing milk need seriously looking at, dryed milk down sides of all milk jugs absolutely disgusting Costas, needs looking into ,

Staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing, place dirty toilets no paper and filthy, hand dryers out of order. Overall very poor would not use again.

First time I've had cause to complain over something that happened with the staff. Service is just not as good as other Costa's. Won't be going back to this one, always cups everywhere, upstairs is rarely open, toilet was not great, this place needs a massive refurb and more staff to be more efficient.

worst order I got from here both drinks was cold when got to me and had to wait nearly over an hour past the delivery time. when I opened my drink cappuccino was half gone and the Latte one was cold aswell. for price u pay disgusting service

Popped in for lunch, there was barely anything in the cake counter or fridges... 3 girls behind the counter, one was more interested in canoodling with her boyfriend rather than serving customers, the food was OK but the cleanliness was just awful, there were no queues or anything just the girls stood around chatting whilst tables full and teapots and milk jugs that have never seen a dishwasher....never will we visit again!

Fast delivery and even though I received two of the wrong items I got a refund so it’s fine.

Our normal stop at Costa Coffee whilst shopping. Just coffee one normal and one soya, both nice as usual. Then my wife's favourite a cheese and tomato toastie so nice. Usual lovey servers bringing drinks to our table.

No muffins but charged and not told drink spilt

I keep saying never again but I always walk past and think it must of improved by now ..... Shock horror it hasn't , first off it's just dirty and unloved there is nothing to eat and I mean NOTHING the shelves are empty it's like Tiny Tim's house on Christmas eve. To be fair the Coffee was ok but it is Costa can you bugger that up . I dont know who has the franchise for this place but you need to let it GO and pass it on to new blood as it's dead , the bloke sat opposite me who was Coughing , Burping and Farting looked to be enjoying it , said it before it's got to be the worst Costa in the UK ..

No milk, no loo roll, no soap, no towels although hand dryer out of order. Worst Costa we've ever visited. Need I say more!!

Built on a rather small plot, the downstairs area of Costa in Bridlington is the most cramped branch of the chain I’ve ever been in. With tables in a corridor between the front and back doors of the property it has the ambience of a transport cafe as opposed to the relaxed atmosphere of a coffee shop. There is actually a larger seating area upstairs but with no obvious signage we completely missed it, as did everyone else it seems, as it was empty. The coffees and service were up to the usual Costs standard but I must say that if I lived in the town I’d research nicer venues.

Very fast delivery and very friendly driver!

Food is expensive and mine had a hair in it. Staff are a bit miserable.

Just a break fro shopping two latte and a bun. One latte was with soya milk just a bit to frothy. Coffee ok just regular Costa Coffee that's why we use them Disabled toilets not very good toilet to low and handles not easy to reach.

Never opens on time!!! Really poor service, if you open at 7 be there to open the shop before 7 that's how real life works!!! This Costa is terrible... and is the hand dryer in the loo upstairs fixed yet???

Missed my chilli cheese and chicken toastie from my order I only ordered two items not happy as I paid delivery on it and only received a caramel slice

Turned up at 5.30pm for hot food as online said open till 7pm but they had stopped serving at 5pm and said shutting at 6pm instead.

Short staffed, unclean and ignored by the staff for ten minutes at the till, so left.

So went in here as was on day trip, 1st people thought it was a good idea to stand an talk when they newa member of staff was trying to clean the drink he had just dropped on floor, but that was OK as no one was waiting to get passed, staff just let them stand in way.when managed to get to the till an asked what flavours they had in the drink I thought I would have she said I tell you what I don't have (very unhelpful as I didn't care what you don't have) so in end I didn't get myself a drink just sat with everyone who did have one, the place had food an dirt all over floor, was blocked off for toilets when another customer asked if kiddies could use the toilets they was allowed so why block it off. Infact was the worst experience I had in any costa shop, won't go back

Costa coffee in Bridlington has got to be the worst Costa in Britain. They have an upstairs room but seldom open it as they do not have enough staff. I’ve lost count of the times that their Internet was not working which means that they cannot add the beans reward to your Costa app and that you can only pay by cash. The staff seem to do their best but the fault is with the owner of the franchise so come on and get your act together of sell out to someone who can run a business

Why even bother opening and who has sunk there hard earn money in to this franchise ... walked in ordered a coffee , have you any toast ... NO your in the town centre go and buy a loaf or two , ok it's a sandwich or a toastie then , Sorry we have nothing and believe me they had nothing but we do have A TEA CAKE you couldn't make it up . It has to be the worst Costa in Yorkshire probably the uk and maybe even the World ..

Customer service not as good as when they first opened, would recommend a store refit also

Came in tonight 25 mins before close both girls were absolutely brilliant extremely polite and certainly helpful they were very busy cleaning down and trying to get sorted but they didn't try rush us when I asked about local takeaways they were more then helpful to give us there recommendations Will definitely be calling in again when we're back on holiday x

Good quality, good tasting coffee. Only one person serving service was fairly slow. But

Staff rude. Ordered coffee and tea and said to drink in when asked. After 10 minutes wait manager came out with takeaway paper cups and said I forgot to tell you we don't have any cups. He then changed his story to we don't have anyone to wash the cups. He offered a refund so I followed him into the shop. The rack was full of cups and another member of staff was busy making drinks in CUPS! Took a photo of the cups then was accused of photographing his staff. He then took a mugshot with his own phone and said I was banned. No great loss. Costa obviously don't care about lying to customers or the environment either unless they are selling you a reusable cup.

The guy behind the counter is turning everyone away or telling them there is a 15 minute wait before he can take their order . Very ignorant. Costa should know about this Guy

Walked in on a sunday 3.30pm ordered 2 coffees to go and was told they are not serving coffee for 30minutes because the staff were going on a break. Very rude customer service, wouldnt dream of going back there. Imagine a coffee shop not serving coffee but leaving their door wide open for customers

Worst costa coffee place to go. 4 times in a row they have got our order wrong. Staff a bit ignorant too. Won't go to that one again.

Called in today at 5pm ..only myself in the cafe ..the young lady behind the counter was too busy cleaning to serve ..no wonder it was empty ..its really not good telling a customer I won't be long and carry on cleaning ...customer lost

Annie and victoria were really helpful and polite, when we asked about certain drinks and even let us try one of the others we were unsure about. Thank you very much 😊 An asset to costa 5 ⭐️

very slow service, they shouldn’t let trainee staffs work on weekends, especially the busy time

Came here on sat 13/05/23 ordered 2 coffees and 2 cheese/tomato toasties paid and sat down waiting for the toasties while waiting the two very frustrated females serving was in a right pickle they had to write every order down the blonde girl making the coffee was making coffee with her right hand while texting on her mobile with her left hand after waiting 25 minutes I returned to counter as still no toasties they was still on the counter in the plastic wrapping we had finished our coffee so ask for a refund also the blonde girl had to go upstairs for some bags of milk when she came back down she threw the bags of milk on the floor in front of customers after refund we left and never to return went around the corner to THE HUT which was amazing your staff could learn a lot from them.ALSO TRIED CONTACTING HEAD OFFICE NOBODY ANSWERING PHONE IN 5 DAYS SENT AN E,MAIL AND STILL NO REPLY WILL NEVER USE COSTA AGAIN .

The first problem here is the hit and miss opening,, it’s almost like the inept staff can’t be bothered to get out of bed to open at the normal time,, if you are luckily (haha) to find it open the you will be greeted with a dirty run down dump… the staff are more than willing to let you stand there like a spare part while they mess with there smart phones, and when they can finally be bothered to serve you it’s like you have caused them a big inconvenience. Costa as a brand is great but this place is a joke

came here on sat 13/05/23 ordered 2 coffees and 2 toasties sat down with coffee waiting for toasties watching the 2 incompetent staff one was writing every order down while the one making the coffee was making coffee with her right hand while texting on her phone with her left hand then she had to go upstairs and returned with bags of milk which she threw on the floor twice as we had drank our coffee and still no toasties after 25 minutes and our toasties was still on the counter in the plastic wrapping I ask for a refund and left never to return we went round the corner to THE HUT which was amazing your staff could learn a lot from them.

Unfortunately this outlet is in need of some staff training. Dirty cups and cutlery . It doesn't fill you with much hope when team members have to ask how to make a pot of tea .

What a lovely costa, to enjoy a coffee and a cake in a warm friendly environment. On two floors, the staff were so kind, helpful and attentative. Was a pleasure to be there, made you feel so very welcome. Would totally recommend.

Like drinking in a dirty corridor.

After a very long wait in a short queue, Ordered a americano and a frappe, the americano was made in minutes then just sat there for a eternity whilst the frappe was still yet to be made, the barista gave me by now my luke warm americano and told me he would bring the frappe over, (it arrived drowning in syrup) to be drank in a table next to a stinking toilet.

Not a complicated order: 1 x sausage bap, 1 x bacon bap but delivered 2 x sausage baps. Really????

Horrible members of staff! Been waiting 20 minutes for two coffees, it wasn’t busy at this moment. One of staff so busy on hers phone. I love costa but this place i don’t recommend at all! Even this place is so dirty, staff doesn’t clean anything. Disgusting!

Having waited 5 whole minutes whilst the member of staff pottered about behind the counter seemingly doing nothing I eventually walked out . Very poor customer , rude young lady .

Absolutely appalling! I called in for two takeaway coffees and was served by Beth who was lovely but was doing everything herself. There was a young woman counting the cakes touching them with a pen she had false nails on which looked like they were ready to fall off. Next to the cakes was a vape and also a mobile phone which was very unhygienic. A long queue formed and Beth was left to do all of the orders alone which she did but looked quite stressed the other young woman didn't have a name badge. Shame on her! Teamwork is obviously something she doesn't understand

Standard Costa. No other customers early afternoon. Staff pleasant enough but had little to do.

Went in for two latte medium got charged for large not knowing until checked payment. The place was filthy and windows and doors glass looked to be never cleaned. Tables sticky . Not using again felt like had to keep washing hands using hand wipes.

Costa is my favorite coffee shop by far and the one is Bridlington is one of my favorites, it's not big but the staff are really nice.

After having a member of staff see us in another shop with comment " not you 2 again" we did go in for drinks but as usual there was no card payment available, the staff was rude as same member of staff turned and said...

Very slow service. It seems very messy behind the counter and in the seated. I was taking it out. So I did not take that much notice. The staff seemed stressed only 2 girls were on and there was a big queue. My drink was lovely and the food was yummy.

ordered four drink got three of then wrong. all drinks barely warm. 2 of the hot chocolate’s were made wrong when said to the staff orders were wrong eyes were rolled, another staff member laughed and were rude towards us. i get it was busy...

Only had a coffee here, a lovely large coffee

6/11/22 afternoon. Staff rude towards my partner , coughing over coffee whilst making them not washings hands, couldn't sit anywhere as the tables hadnt been cleened from previous customers which I could of understood if the place was heaving it was a rainy cold day...

Its up and down this place doing go with a gifted card . Makes sure you all ways got money and don't count of a coffee bean that you may have

Very small Costa in centre of Bridlington. The young ladies serving were doing there best attending to a large queue under overwhelming odds. They had no time to clear or clean tables which were filthy as were the whole premises..Plus the toilet door was broken and couldnt be locked. The flooring was tatty and dirty. If it wasn't for the staff this place needs closing down for a refurb and deep clean.

Poor coffee ( 2 flat whites) luke warm !!! Asked for hot water to warm it up.. Staff friendly enough and toast was good. Needs improvement.

Had a large hot chocolate it hardly tasted of chocolate at all and was just lukewarm, if the queue hadn't been so long i would have taken it back just didn't drink it all, it was a free drink i had but all the same i feel it should have been right and that was after waiting a while after the next customer got theirs and me asking where mine was and she said she forgot. They were serving people before telling them that it was cash only, no signs up to say this.

Delivery person was great, the lids for the drinks weren’t on properly so they leaked into the bag, the cream tasted really off as well, 1 out of 4 drinks were okay. Not happy.

Same problem as with all Costas, staff that take ages to serve customers partly because they seem to have their own areas, the barista just does the coffee and the only other member of staff does everything else, which is a nonsense when the barista has ten coffees to make and the other staff member none, or when the barista is doing nothing and the other staff member is running around like a headless chicken. They should all be interchangeable, so no one is standing around doing nothing while some other staff member is rushed off their feet. In this case, they really needed three staff members, so someone could help, clear the tables, do the washing etc. Apart from that, horrible pastries, wonderful cakes, biscuits and coffees. Good air conditioning, too, but a very small outlet with just a few tables inside.

I have been going to Costa Coffee for years with my family as I like the restaurant and the Coffee Blend. My boys love the Iced selection. Only problem is I find that the Internet is not good at this location. Every time I go...

Service was incredibly slow and even though we asked for dine in they gave us our order take away style so no plates etc to eat our food of just paper bags,and we were not the only people they did this to there was a few of us in the same que all got treat the same, we all agreed they were doing it deliberately to save washing up won't be going back

One of the latte had not had the top foil sheet placed on so it had leaked a good quarter of the cup out and made it alot colder then the other coffee was quite disappointed to be honest

Upstairs has been closed for a while which makes downstairs very crowded and a bit dirty as I imagine it's hard for the small about of staff to deal with it all. The coffee was great as always and the food was lovely and fresh.

Called here twice this week to be told they can not take card payment, absolutely ridiculous for a company like costa. I will not be returning.
