We picked the Waterbridge for my Mum's wake after it being recommended and we were not disappointed. Annette was extremely helpful from start to finish. Premises are lovely, food was absolutely great, so friendly and welcoming. They made a difficult time and day so much easier. Thankyou x

I attended my first psychic evening here and what a great night! I went along with a group of work friends, having not been to one before I was sceptical as I’ve had bad experiences with tarot card readers, spiritualists etc ripping me off in the past and I feel that it’s easy these days to imitate someone genuine to the spirit world. Anyhow I was truly impressed by the owners choice I had an impressive read by a lady who I will contact for a private read soon; as clearly at these evenings there are a lot of guests to get through so it’s not all about me. The food was great we were advised that it would be a cold help yourself buffet on this evening and there was something for everyone! Everything was clearly handmade and a good variety of choice to, including vegetarian options. They catered a vegan lady on our table separate to the buffet table and her food looked as yummy as ours 😋 compliments to the chef and to the owners this was a good value for money evening enjoyed by all of us 😀

I’m all for championing local independent businesses and we’ve visited here many times for breakfast evening meal and now psychic night. From our experience It’s losing its way quality wise. Sadly The food was v disappointing. Small portions, choice of scampi n chips or chilli on nachos. Followed by fruit salad or scone for dessert? The scones were black underneath and rock hard. The order was wrong despite pre ordering. Food was lukewarm and chips soggy. The place was too packed making it difficult to hear the psychics. You were unable to get out easily from your seat and there was water coming through the ceiling. They don’t take cards so you have to go to cashpoint to get money. The mark up on wine Prosecco is high especially when it’s obvious it’s from Aldi or the co op. Very irritating. We did eat the food as we were all starving but wouldn’t be in a rush to return. Didn’t feel it was good value for money, Prefer to pay a bit more and get decent quality psychic night. Plenty to choose from locally now. Will also choose another breakfast venue too going forward as the experience was not too dissimilar to above, average quality.😔 let’s hope things get back to how they were before, maybe that chef had moved on?

Stopped here for lunch on a Saturday following a recommendation form a friend, but sadly will not be giving same recommendation as very disappointed. Arrived at about 1 to find a note stuck to front door saying no card paying facility and directing you to coop across street which had cashpoint. On entering and asking for a table for two, we were told we would have to sit at a large table as they were setting up for a party of 15. But we were directed to a small table at the far end of the restaurant adjacent to where they were setting up for the party! Our drinks order was taken, and despite asking for ice in my coke, it was warm the ice cube was practically melted. We ordered fish pie, and despite steam coming off my husbands, mine was cold. The waiter returned it to the kitchen, but left me with my luke warm vegetables, which were quite greasy. The fish pie was returned hot, but was quite bland. As the party people arrived, we felt in the way, and as soon as we had eaten, got the bill and left. The staff were pleasant enough, but didn't find it welcoming.

We visited the restaurant for coffee and cake. My husband needed gluten free only had chocolate brownie l had Victoria sandwich which priced at 5,95 I think is very much overpriced. Will not be returning.

The Waterbridge is very nice inside and the food and drink is exceptionally good value for money. However, just average and this is the second time we have visited and both times they didn't have us down as booked in. Just needs fine tuning and perhaps more training for the waitresses.

Treated to afternoon tea by a friend for my birthday. We planned to book a table for 3.30pm as she works everyday until that time. Not realising that is closing time. Really couldn’t believe the wonderful offer of the lovely owner to accommodate us on this occasion by serving us at 3.30. A delicious array of sandwiches, cakes and scones accompanied by prosecco! Have also eaten here for lunch and dinner. All excellent and great value. Cocktails are good too. This is just what we’ve been waiting for in Whetstone. Thank You.

Eaten here tonight for the first time. Very tasty and very reasonable prices - I had steak my friend had sea bass. Very friendly staff, very willing to substitute items e.g. I asked for green veg instead of onion rings. Puddings were delicious and gluten free friendly. Highly recommended for the local area.

Been several times with friends and family. I think it’s very reasonably priced. You can tell the food is cooked fresh. I’ve had a full English, pancakes, the burger and a posh fish finger sandwich. Rate all of them. The food is excellent. Waitresses are always very friendly.

Booked the water bridge for 10 people for a late breakfast, when we arrived the tables were all set menu in place for each person. Our party arrived in dribs and drabs but drink orders were taken as soon as you were seated. Once all the party were seated we ordered our breakfast. Some people had the large(huge) full English others panini and eggs royal. The breakfasts all came out together which was nice. The breakfasts didn't disappoint and there were no complaints and everyone saying how good the full English breakfasts were! Well worth the money but if you didn't want to tackle a huge breakfast there was the option of a smaller version.Very nice friendly staff, definitely worth another visit.

Came here with a friend for breakfast, it was very cold inside and didn't warm up much in the 2 hours we spent here. It was February though so, kind of expected I guess.

Recently opened cafe with quirky decor and friendly staff. We decided to try out this cafe for Saturday lunch. It seats around 50 people and was about a third full on a wet, cold day. We were asked where we'd like to sit and opted for a table away from the door but the table was near the door to the kitchen. The position was draughty and noisy when the coffee grinder and milk shake machines were operated. We ordered chilli and jacket potato which came with cheese, coleslaw and a good salad garnish. The chilli was very mild but it was reasonable value at £7.95. The pot of tea was huge- 3 cups full each. The piped music was a little loud but tasteful. Service was prompt and attentive. Would visit again. Wheelchair access would be a little tricky as the decking up to the door slopes to ground level but is narrow where there is a post so it would be a squeeze for a big wheelchair unless there is access through the back.

Went for lunch after recommendation but quite disappointed. Ordered jacket potato firstly had no butter when ordering was asked if we wanted butter and said yes. The potato was just lukewarm, and the prices are rather expensive £2.20 for a cup of tea and £7.95 for jacket potato which for a cafe is on the high side. Was asked how things were at end and did advise waitress who did apologise but that’s it.

I visited with my family on New Years Eve for breakfast. We were not disappointed in the quality of the food. My husband ordered the large breakfast, I had the vegetarian breakfast and my children had a child's breakfast. The portions are huge and great quality, well cooked and good quality. The service is very good and overall, superb value for money. It does get very busy at weekends so doesn't hurt to book. Looking forward to our next visit.

My daughter went in for 1 lot of chips with her bank card while I waited outside, they charged he £7 for a cone of chips , when I went in to ask them about the price they charged her they just chucked the money on the counter with not one word ! Not even an apology! The manager couldn't even speak to apologise either and was stood next to the girl who has no voice ! It's not how you run a business How many kids do they do this to ! You can't see the price on the card machine as its behind the screen facing them . Very rude staff , I will not be returning

Sadly, whilst this location is temporarily closed, I look forward to being welcomed back to a local and convenient place to eat which serves typical menu items at affordable prices.

A passable Wetherspoons pub that served a purpose that morning to give us a spot to rest up and have a coffee. Totally unmemorable and unremarkable, a Wetherspoons pub that feels like it has had it's time and they've had enough. Really didn't enjoy either of the 'Spoons in Loughborough at all which is a shame. When run properly, Wetherspoons has a place in a town, sadly not in Loughborough apparently.
