The Wanger Cafe in Great Yarmouth

Should have known when I walked in and a full English was left on a table. Glad I ordered the small one as once I spotted the hair on the toast plate I was done.without the hair the food was terrible. They forgot the tea. Went to the shop over the road for the bread, the guy mentioned earlier still has that dirty hoody on with the Hole in it. Was without doubt the worst breakfast I've ever had anywhere,and I've had some bad uns. Absolutely avoid at all costs. I did tell them about the hair, met with a shrug of shoulders and an OK,sorry.never ever again for me. I'd give zero if I could. Went back to the digs and had some cereal and hair free toast.

The cafe' has changed hands and I'm afraid it is not for the best. The young man at the counter was obviously counting the minutes before he could go home. His was dressed in a grubby hoodie and matching shorts. The breakfast was served on very small plates ( to make the meal look bigger). Young woman seem to drift in and out telling us she would bring our toast and then disappearing out of the front door with her friends. Also the works surfaces behind the counter were dirty with coffee, sugar and what looked like powdered milk, grubby boy couldn't be bothered to wipe it clean. Breakfast was ok though but for £10 I expect better service and atmosphere, frankly, I don't think that place will be doing a very good trade unless they make more of an effort.

Best breakfast I’ve had in England. The sausages were divine. The owner was very friendly and what surprised me the most was that she hoped we’d like it! We more than liked it.

Lovely well made brekkie. Great plate of food. Piping hot and well presented. Owner was welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us.

Haven't been here in a while , it was good then but even better now. Nice clean seating area. All condiments laid out to be taken as required. Lady was very polite and welcoming. Menu is very good and you can get a basic roll right up to a roast dinner. Prices very good throughout. Very short wait for my breakfast and was not disappointed at all. Good looking plate and very tasty. Looking forward to my next trip through GY

Not been for a few years, had a big breakfast, more costly than some places but better sausages etc and overall way better quality. Good service so highly recommended.

I usually have a roast dinner here as I work nearby, I usually have a lamb roast dinner (frozen) And that cost £10 they never put enough gravy in the dinners so I always ask for extra gravy. Last time they charged me £1 extra just for a bit of gravy. Even the member of staff apologised for the owner and agreed it was. Rip off. I could of got a jar if gravy for that and made lots of gravy. I think they are way too over priced for the quality of the food. I'd thought for a £10 frozen roast dinner you would of gave me abit of extra gravy for nothing but obviously not. I will not be returning again nor will my family and friend. EVER. Bring back the old owners. Their food use to be so nice. So just a pre warning. Over priced rubbish low quality food.

Superb, beautifully cooked breakfast. Presented well and non greasy. Gorgeous mushrooms. Bacon cooked as requested. Good attention to detail from kitchen. Thank you, thoroughly enjoyed.

Visited for breakfast and because of the name! Cash only, pay on order. Food was ok - I have had better and worse breakfasts in the area. Good value for money. service was good. food cooked to order. Bread disappointing - was regular sliced. Should consider a bloomer type bread in future.

Fried bread must have been made by gods. Amazing breakfast. It’s cafe food done good. If you want 5star go elsewhere. Silly to compare in other comments.

When the food came it was good, but it should not take 20 mins to get a breakfast. I used to run a cafe and would never keep customers waiting for that long, by the time it came our tea was nearly cold. Breakfast should only take 6 to 8 mins at most to cook. If it is going to take longer, then a staff member should at least let you know and offer a free cup of tea or coffee. Like I say the food was good.

As a group of 7 adults away for a weekend we came here both mornings for breakfast. Great value great food and clean! Lovely friendly staff. Will be here again when visiting next. Recommend anyone wanting a yummy brekky! I'd of taken the picture before but got stuck in too quick Haha.

Visited this place twice over one weekend. Absolutely appalling cooking. told the waitress that my all day breakfast was totally over cooked and had it replace then my husband couldn’t even eat his fish finger and chips as they were solid. The waitress told the Chef/Owner and he couldn’t even be bothered to come out and speak with us. I’ve been coming to this place for many years but it will be no more !!!! Absolutely appalling DO NOT VISIT

Best breakfast ever. I'm such a fussy person when it comes to my food being cooked but I wouldn't eat breakfast anywhere else. The chef is fit so sit at the back (always good to have eye candy) lady staff are lovely they treat you well and are always smiling. Jeep up the hard work see you soon

Ive got to say its not as good as it used to be. Its clean, portion sizes are good, friendly and plenty of tables. Lost count of how many times I reminded the lady about my tea - but in the end got my tea and a refund!

Been going here for years, through various owners and staff. As said it the title, I think it is one of the better cafes in town and the staff are always friendly.

Had heard about this place and was told by friends to try it. Great breakfast at a great price. Couldn't fault it in any way. Staff friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back again. Highly recommend.....

Been here with wife, for a fish and chips lunch, decent food at good price and clean eating place.

Lived local and not been in. Was clean and the lady was very friendly and helpful and polite. The food was fair price and ultra hot even the beans which almost never happens. It was not greasy but all cooked super well.

Stopped of on way to town cafe was very busy gave my order and didn't have to wait long for the best breakfast ever ..would so recommend this cafe ..

Found this cafe in Great Yarmouth and it was the best. The staff were friendly and we got chips on the house as well. I had the vegetarian breakfast, which was so delicious. The hot chocolate was nice and the whole visit was just amazing. Would recommend coming here when on holiday or even being just a local in the area.

Nice greasy spoon for lovely fry up. Lovely fried bread. If your looking for a posh tearoom this isn't for you. But if you want a decent breakfast and cuppa this is for you.

He estado yendo aquí y por alrededor de 10 años y siempre me ha encantado con la calidad de los desayunos servidos aunque creo que el café ha cambiado de manos varias veces en este periodo de tiempo. Aunque el menú para los diferentes tipos de desayuno inglés es bastante poco ortodoxos es buena comida y lo recomendaría a cualquiera. El personal es encantador y siempre que nunca esperando demasiado tiempo para su comida. El café es normalmente bastante ocupado (que es siempre un signo de comida decente).

Hemos visitado la Wanger muchas veces en los últimos 10 años y ya parece que ha cambiado de propietario y tenía una reforma (lo que creo que fue hace un tiempo) es precioso. Los desayunos son todo lo que he pedido, así que no puedo opinar sobre nada más. Los desayunos son lo mejor, especialmente el tocino, que es tan sabroso y gruesas. El personal es muy amable y aunque no todo el tiempo después de una visita recordaba que tiene mi esposa en lata tomates en vez de frescos. Están más que dispuestos a cortar y cambiar los desayunos para encajar lo que quieres, este puede alterar el precio, pero es el precio que hay que pagar para conseguir exactamente lo que desea para su desayuno. El personal es también bueno con kifs e interactuar muy bien con nuestro hijo. La vía láctea es un favorito de la familia. Continuaremos a usar el Wanger por capricho de desayuno.

popped in for breakfast about 11 am very clean and tidy staff very polite and friendly we asked for the English breakfast we had a bit of a wait but it was a very good value for money including toast and tea or coffee for two people less than £10 we couldn't get through it all there were several breakfasts to chose from Inc vegetarian and they also had an extensive menu well worth a visit

Paramos aquí para desayuno fuera de la ciudad, a 8 de nosotros pedimos varias cosas, unos pidieron diferentes cosas en su desayuno. 3 de los 8 Pedidos salió mal y faltaba 1 artículos completamente. Poco limpio y agradable café, pero la señora rubia con trenzas que sirven podrían ser amable con los clientes en lugar de hacer que se sientan como si estuviesen en el lado equivocado!

Si quieres un buen viejo británico hasta entonces Fry este café es para ti, l sé que es descrito como un ataque al corazón en un plato, pero hay mucho y es muy rico y por menos de 5 Libras con té/café y tostadas es una verdadera ganga. El personal es muy amable y muy limpia.

Tenía el más delicioso pastel de hoy y realmente Shepards no significa delicioso. El lugar ha sufrido una transformación completa desde la última vez que estuve allí y parece que está muy bien.

Decent portion size. Quick service when busy. Nice cup of tea or coffee. Not badly priced. What more can you ask for a greasy spoon!!

ingredients are ok and the tea tasted okthe big brekfast is really filling you do get a lot on the platethe menu is really big, they go through to mid afternoon , check it out its opp the jet garage and kitchener rd

If ever in great yarmouth and want a breakfast this is the best by a meal lovely and a good price same every time delicious.

Stopped in for a breakfast, I ordered the Late Breakfast but made a few changes and my colleague ordered the Big Breakfast, both were hot and plentiful. The service was very quick even though it started getting busy. Only bad point our toast didn't arrive but its a minor issue.

Excellent food and great value. All freshly cooked and plenty of it. Very pleasant staff and clean premises. All you could ask for.

Went on a Saturday morning with my partner. Bad timing as it was really busy but well worth the wait. Really friendly staff who apologised for the wait. Food was really good and you could tell that it had been cooked separately and not all cooked in the same fryer. My partner especially liked the bubble. Good value for money to would defiantly go back.

Friendly staff, great full English with Bubble and Squeek, a big mug of strong tea, lovely! Don't expect a table decoration, but expect a good breakfast!

We had breakfast here easter Monday while we were on holiday. I had a traditional English breakfast which was lovely, nice thick bacon and every thing cooked how it should be and it wasnt greasy either. I would go here again and so would my partner who had the big plate special.Recomended
