First time here great food plentiful and hot will definitely come again great place for us and our greyhound to dine out at very clean advisable to book

Very disappointed to see a hand written notice as you enter stating 'with immediate effect all food ordered must be accompanied by a paid drink from the bar' possibly not exact wording but you get the gist? Normally I get a glass of water for the elderly friend I take but was told only bottled water which is 90p, tap water wasn't an option! I usually get myself a 0% cider. I think the wording could have been better as it came across as an order & I don't see why tap water isn't available?

Called into this pub tonight the meal was delicious 😋 service was excellent what a lovely pleasant lady working tonight 5* every one in the pub made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend this lovely local pub.👋👋👋

Traditional village pub. Didn't eat so can't comment on that, but had a lovely couple of hours here drinking.

Second time we have been here whilst visiting for the weekend to Hemsby Beach, the food is always amazing and the owner went out of her way to open the kitchen and make food for us as we missed the service time as the kitchen closes 15:00-17:00. Really pleased she did as we love the home cooked food. Thank you 🌟

Friendly staff. Very good pub food. Had a toastie and it came with chips and salad.

The food was really tasty ! The staff friendly and the atmosphere exactly what you would expect from a village pub! Bonus was it is dog friendly and everyone in there loves dogs. Would highly recommend !

Best Sunday roasts in Norkolk Generous portions home style food and including a coke less than a tenner! First class service from the staff too. Four visits always same quality Highly recommended

Very good place. Great food. Very low prices. Comfy bar with wood burning stove. Book for Sunday lunch. We’ll come again good food choices. Good staff happy if you are picky. I only wanted lettuce and cucumber in salad. No problem. Worthy of 5 stars

Very few good pubby type pubs left in this area, but, this really is one! Very reasonable prices, good variety of menu choices, good selection of beers, friendly, and most of all excellent value for money! If you can't find something to eat on the menu, you are worse than me! Only one small criticism, because it is so good, when it is busy, service can be just a little slow, is it worth the wait? Yes!

My husband and I popped in for dinner with our little dog after a day at Holkham beach. The staff and clientele were very welcoming and made our dog feel very special! 😀 We had the chicken, leek and mushroom pie with chips and it was extremely flavourful and delicious! Our dog had some sausages which he thoroughly enjoyed! It’s a shame we’re only staying in the area for a few days, as we’d happily come here every evening! Thank you for taking such great care of us!

called in today 1st time good service .good food home made chips a plus for sure .one gripe salad had dressing dont like mine with any on shame you could have saved money and waste i only ate a little ,re booked for sunday lunch in a few weeks looking forward to it ,keep up good work

Nice local pub. Not a big selection of food on the menu but we chose the homemade chilli with rice, waffles with ice cream and fruit pie with custard. Very reasonably priced and decent sized portions. Food tasted good.

Was initially worried as it advertised sky sports etc. But the tvsi were on quite or silent and it wasn't intrusive. The food was very well presented and tasty. The pub was clean and modern. Staff very cheery and attentive. Very good value for good and drinks.

It's a great place for food and a great selection of beers. Very friendly staff and people are happy to have time for a conversation. All in all a very nice place.

The food was excellent and the portions were good, very pleasant evening. Service excellent, would go again soon.

Food was lovely small portions but tasted great but the service from the guy behind the bar sarcastic and sharp like chill out buddy we all hot get yourself a fan behind the bar and try a little better customer service 👍

My ‘Go to’ place for food, drinks and atmosphere. From the locals to those that run the pub, they’re all fantastic. Incredibly reasonably priced too. Always new local ales on rotation as well as your favourite household names for lagers. What makes this place stand out from the rest? It’s dog friendly!!

I have been calling in the kings head every year ( when open ) since 1975. The frontage is still very similar a few changes inside of course. Garden still a nice place and the beer was very reasonably price. Lots of sports TV if that's what you like. This latest visit was this year 1st week in June, mid week and mid afternoon this is where the negative bit of this review comes. There was a old builder type sat at the bar with his mate, his mate was talking about fast fords but the builder type was swearing his head off ranting about gays and migrants I wouldn't of thought that was a problem in hemsby. Yes you can call it bar talk but it lowers the standards of the proprietors who clearly looking at the reviews are trying there best. Hopefully it was a one off.

First time we have been to the Kings Head what a great village pub the food was excellent and great value for money keep up the good work we will be returning 👍

Good beer, good food, good atmosphere

Lovely welcoming village pub with a garden overlooking fields, live sports on TV and really good value for money home-cooked style food. Regular menu and Specials board with a very accommodating welcome from this family-run pub. Dogs and children are welcome too. We’ve been several times now and can’t fault it. We will be regularly visiting for the foreseeable!

we have come to Hemsby for a holiday! we wanted to find a local family pub! Lovely people friendly atmosphere, dog friendly, food is amazing and they adapt to your needs would highly recommend this restaurant.

A good village pub restaurant seem very popular but I haven't tried it yet looked at menu seems to be reasonably priced and wholesome

Such a beautfull hidden gem, beautifull food and staff were amazing. Very happy with the food and service we received and very much a lovely evening to spend the last day of our holiday. Staff are very polite and happy to help with any enquiry. We desided to call and book ahead with just an hour's notice on a Friday and got so lucky. We sat outside with a beautfull view, Most defently will be returning when we come back.

What s little gem. Had a Roadt dinner to die fir, 6 veg loads of meat and roasting well worth the £8.95 per head !! What value and so ao tasty thank-you

Food was very tasty and a great price!

First time and maybe go again. Had homemade chilli served with tortilla chips and rice plus a side salad ( added dressing) not a fan of dressing on my salad so left it. Rather a tight area to sit in and a group behind were rather loud. Had a wait for food but was informed prior so no Biggie.

Called in through the week for evening meal. Which was fresh hot and delicious. While there booked for Sunday lunch. The meal was just like home Sunday roast with a choice of meats. The atmosphere was lovely and friendly and staff couldn’t do enough. The dessert menu was also good but especially the ginger cake and custard which was yummy! Overall a very pleasant experience.

Had the ham, egg and chip special for @£7.00. They kindly cut off the white fir me so top stars alone for that! Excellent meal, bit sporty inside but today realised it was the FA cup! Dur! Beautiful building.

After reading the reviews thought we would try this pub for a meal out whilst staying in Hemsby . Having visited two other pubs this was the worst for making us feel welcome . It is very much a pub for locals who sit at the bar and don’t move. One local was very arrogant and made comments about our dog. Food was as good as others described but we were put off returning because of the locals

So after 5 years or we can say 18 month as claimed that the pub taken over by new owners, asking me to remove my review. Why now is so important but wasn't in the last 18 month. What a joke is this place just like in the past probably.

Great beer with a crowd very enjoyable

Wow amazing staff and food. I've been a few times now with my family and it's clean and tidy the staff work hard and are very helpful. The food is an easy 10 + along with the rest of this pub. It's definitely a place to try out.

Excellent customer service and the food is absolutely brilliant and very good choice, with very economical prices.dogs also welcome in designated areas.

Came in here for Sunday lunch. Wow for a pub Sunday lunch I can honestly say it was the best Sunday roast I have had from a restaurant. Modifications to the meal were simple I chose no vegetables and got some extra potatoes. The meat was lovely and well cooked. The roast potatoes were crispy and fluffy on the inside. The stuffing balls were amazing. And plenty of gravy. Only improvement would be a homemade Yorkshire pudding. The tables seem a bit squished in as we sat in the bar are. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Great friendly pub. Had Sunday lunch with our friends whom are vegetarian plus. 2 dogs. We were made welcome and the food was excellent. Choice of meats, perfect cooked veg and crispy roast potatoes. Our friends thought their vegetarian dish lovely. Will be visiting again when in Norfolk

Whilst on holiday the family fancied a Sunday lunch and a Google search resulted in this little gem of a pub not far from where we were staying. Choice of 4 meats and plenty of it, freshly cooked veg with crispy roasties! And definitely value for money at £8.95 for one course, £14.95 for 2 courses. We were so impressed we returned later in the week for a sharing platter, 100% beef burger and homemade lasagna..... oh and some amazing puddings... the ice cream lemon cheesecake was amazing. Friendly and helpful staff and dogs are very welcome. We will return on our next visit to Norfolk!

I was meeting my husband who got hugely delayed by roadworks on the way from London. The staff were so helpful and just lovely! I was in my wheelchair and that didn't faze them one bit, and they were so helpful about leaving food to the last minute, for my husband's lateness. Great food, great service, thank you!

Had a roast with the family here on Sunday. Ticked all of the boxes - I only wish there were more Yorkshire puddings.

Fòod was good but we had a long wait for it, even though we had pre-ordered for a large group.
