Went in to order a Matilda cake and a loaded brownie for takeaway. The place was decorated really nicely. Service was quick and the desserts were very rich and tasty. The Matilda cake is one of the best available these days.

Have been to this place twice since the renovation. They've done a very good job. Cosy and calming atmosphere with ample seating and different seating options. We had the French toast and the famous Matilda cake. AMAZING! Absolutely loved the Matilda cake, creamy, dreamy and delicious. You could share with another person as you won't be able to finish it by yourself!! The French toast was delicious and well portioned. The coffee was nice and I can't fault the service. I didn't get her name but the woman who served us was very friendly and helpful. Definitely go down there especially if you love indulgent cakes.

We visited here to get some desserts. Decided to dine in. Restaurant had a nice decor and was clean. Ordered several items, The bueno waffle tasted great. Waffle had a nice outer crisp to it and a soft centre. The daughter just wanted a simple pancake with lemon and sugar. They didn't have this on the menu, just fancy pancakes with lots of toppings. Lady on the til said they didn't do this, but eventually went into the kitchen to ask if it could be done, and returned saying yes, but we would have to pay full price, the same as if we had one of the pancakes with all the fancy toppings on it. So basically had to pay £8 for pancakes with just sugar and lemon it. Not discounted to reflect the fact it was having less then have the toping on it compared to other pancakes on their menu. Found that really bad customer service to be honest and a rip off, hence the poor rating

Spend money on a delivery didn't put any straw's in so can't drink the shakes we have ordered and I'm unable to drive due to my mobility and they won't even send anyone out to me with a straw waste of money

Had the Matilda cake here the other day and it was exactly how I imagined, great vibe inside and nice staff

A great place for a quick bite, suitable for families and friends. The taste was good for the pricing with chic interiors. Not a very large seating area, so it might get crowded during rush hours.

Lovely quiet cafe. Has a great selection of waffles and crepes and an all-day lunch menu with many non-dessert options as well. I was skeptical about the Chicken waffle but tried it any way and it was delicious, highly recommend. Bueno crepe was very tasty as well.

Received good customer service and recommendations. The Spanish Latte was of good quality and something that was missing from the local dessert scene.

I bring my daughter here regularly to do her homework. Its a nice, quite place for her to focus. It would be great to have free wiffi :) but everything else is great. 👍🏽

The staff's behavior was highly inappropriate; they delivered the incorrect item and, upon our complaint, took it back without returning. Later, the staff claimed to have served us and forgot about taking back the item, leading to an argument.

Lovely place for some drinks and simple foods. Try the chicken and waffle you may fall in love again.

A very cute and local business, amazing desserts and drinks and the staff equally as amazing, one girl gave us the best hospitality I’ve had anywhere, her name I think was Taybah from her necklace she had on, thank you for being so kind to us on our visit.

Food, service, and atmosphere—everything was great. I hope and wish that everything will remain the same over time, as I've noticed that things often get compromised when they become successful.

Just ordered vanilla cheesecake through uber eats the box came opened which is major heath and safety issue.the taste is fine but the size of the slice is truly ridiculous it's so small .I Don't recommend.

I think what attracted me most was the ambiance, well layout decor and jazz playing in the background. The staff are always friendly and then the food is good, fresh and very well presented. Overall a good place to relax. The aircon can be a little chilly at times but with the heat outside, it's a pleasure. Returned to the Waffle Project today for a chicken salad. And once again, I was not disappointed. For those a little hungry, the jacket with two filling, coleslaw and green salad will certainly fill that hole.

Everything was great and the Matilda cake was beautiful. However there was a mistake with my order, we ordered a waffle with Oreo’s on top however we got an Oreo with strawberry’s, this means my younger brother couldn’t eat it because he is allergic. Other than that everything else was great!

Hedgehog served without custard?! I paid for hedgehogs with custard..

I took my daughters and we loved it but I would especially like to give a special mention to a wonderful lady working there. She talked to my daughters as if they were family and was so generous with her time. I've never experienced this anywhere else. In her own words, my girls got a new Auntie. As far as I'm concerned no other desert places exist and you have 3 customers for life. Thank you again 💓

I had pregnancy cravings of fried onion toppings on a jacket potato that they didn’t do on their menu..The guy at the tills went out his way to get me the topping I wanted. 10/10 for fulfilling customer requirements.

We have eaten at waffle project on a number of occasions and ordered takeaway and it does not disappoint! The lunch is always tasty and satisfying. The desserts are delicious and even better because they are made in house (unlike alot of other dessert places) Very pleased to see this! Ther drinks hot and cold really hit the spot Always satisfied. All in all- exceptional customer service/ the best selection of food/desserts and beverages Would 100% recommend this place for any occasion - family time/girly time/ solo ones and even meetings Thanks for always looking after us waffle project :)

Very good desserts and coffee, the place is very clean and stylish. The staff are friendly and helpful. Chocolate hedgehog cake is nice and so is the pistachio latte. Molten cake needs to be warmer.

Came in for a waffle ended up grabbing a few milkshakes and cornflake tarts. Everything was lovely, staff were very welcoming would definitely recommend.

Me and my mates decided to have a little dessert here upon opening our fasts, the bipolar lady at the restaurant till consistently swore at me and threatened to kick me out of the shop,publicly humiliating me and harassing me while I had my milkshake she stared at me viciously and spat in the milkshake which was already disgusting. Pathetic needs to close down

Small waiter at the till is absolutely horrific. Swore at me on multiple occasions and couldn’t handle a little joke. She visibly spat on my food and kept trying to get aggressive towards me felt uncomfortable the whole time I was eating my food.

Best experience we got brownies a pistachio croissant a chicken and cheese toasties and chicken salad and fudge cake delish! Defo coming back and the place looks great!

Ferrero Roche milkshake tasted bland full of milk watery

This is a lovely little place, I was passing by and stopped for a hot chocolate which I have to say was very nice, its very clean inside and the decor is classy. I'd definitely return.

Fabulous new opening in Hall Green. Desserts, milkshakes, lunch menu and the hot chocolates are all incredible! Think this is our new go to place.

Concrete Cake came in tubs the size of chilly sauce tubs from a takeaway. About 3 tablespoons worth. The cheap package custard didn't taste any good either. I will never order from them again. Stay clear people.

This place has the best waffles in UK have to try so soft and fluffy. I had a very warm and welcoming visit to this palce a must to try 5 stars from me guys well done.

The biggest juiciest grapes I’ve ever seen!! Pancakes, waffle and brownies are all so light and fluffy, absolutely perfect! All sauces are lovely, perfect consistency. Ordered two tango ice blasts, they gave me one of each colour instead of mixed and I am SO HAPPY!! 100% recommend this place

The atmosphere is lovely and the food is good 2 except I was very disappointed with the way the waitress was dressed very inappropriately pale green legging which were very body hugging and is very very inappropriate as uniform for employees where people come to dine with families.

Stunning decor and excellent customer service. I went with my friends and we really enjoyed our orders especially the dragonfruit mojito . Made to feel really welcome and such a cosy vibe with mouthwatering food. Thank you 😊

Had a cookie dough delivered with vanilla ice cream but the ice cream was placed on top of the cookie dough, so i really enjoyed my half a tub of melted ice cream.

Somebody actually recommended this place and I think they underestimated the recommendation and this place was amazing the people the atmosphere the stuff it’s absolutely incredible. We weed the deserts, and they were amazing very fresh will be coming here again.

Irum was so kind she was so helpful and really respectful. The food is always well presented and tastes just as good too. The restaurant itself is very refreshing to be in.

Amazing service! I was served by a young hijabi girl and she recommended me Dutch pancakes and fully loaded brownies and they were phenomenal. I was most definitely not disappointed. Will be back for sure!

Came in yesterday evening, had a hot chocolate with a strawberry delight waffle and it was absolutely amazing! Hot chocolate was very warm and topped with a beautiful amount of whipped cream! The staff were very welcoming and friendly with definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

Great cosy place on Stratford Road. Overpriced as is the norm in Birmingham. Had a voucher for a waffle so popped in and had a strawberry waffle and a babycino. Kids loved it, and the service was excellent.

Woow. This Caffè is an excellent one in Hall Green ,lots of desert choices ,the Strawberry waffle is very delicious especially if you dine in. The atmosphere is great and relaxing.Very clean and tidy seating area. There's an outdoor seating area too. The staff were super friendly. Recommend them to anyone. All food is Halal.

I get my coffee from here daily, all their staff know my order and how I love my coffee, and are all so friendly I’ve had good chats with all of them! Shop is always clean, interior is stunning and the desserts are also 10/10 ( the brownies 😻 )!!

I think that the reviews on waffle project are based on the previous owners as the food and drinks are pricey for what you get. Coffee is served in a pickle jar like cup and the flat white and capacinno taste near the same. The dessert options are very cleverly tailored so you are spending more than the quantity and quality your are receiving. Furthermore, their website is out of date and not been updated as it say that they do vegan waffles when in actual fact they don’t. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

I ordered desserts for my family first of all they forgot the drinking straws all the milkshakes turned in to water then the waffles never had any strawberries I will not visit this place after today wast of £38 pound

Ordered a ferrorr cheesecake via uber eats. The service was quick and the cheesecake was delicious creamy and had a rich smooth taste. The packaging was very nice elegant style. 5 star.

Fortunately for me this place isn't all about the waffles! Portion sizes are reasonably generous unlike some places these days (looking at you Heavenly) and the quality of the items we tried was excellent. Chocolate concrete with warm custard was even better than I remember from school! The only minor let down was the sundae in terms of presentation. It was more like something quickly whipped up at home in a glass instead of the tall creations you might get at some parlours. Having said that it tasted amazing and I enjoyed every bite. The quality of the ice cream really made a difference. They even substituted one of the flavours for pistachio which I really wanted to try and tasted very nice. Even the cake I took home and had the next day was pretty good. I will say that the food all tasted good without being too rich or too sweet. I hope they do well as this place is likely to become my default dessert parlour 👍🏼

Amazing initiative was done in the month of November, all profits were going to go to Palestine. When you strive for excellence, god puts blessings in it. And obviously the desert was top notch. The waffles, cookie dough, doughnuts. One improvement I would definitely suggest is the round balls used for the bubble tea, they were a bit hard in the middle for some reason.

Not impressed at all!! I had French toast that just tasted like bread, my partner had the chocolate concrete and custard which was poor quality taste like one of them 99p ones you got from the shop. We also paid £4.00 for 2 coco cola bottles and we got to Barr cola cans… waste of money

Visited a few weeks ago to catchup up with my friend. The interior was beautiful, it was pretty quite. The service was outstanding and quick. The menu had a good variety and the food did not disappoint! The coffee was made to perfection also looked stunning! Hard to find a place where the food is as amazing as the interior! Fantastic place for desserts and brunch. Ordered the panini with a pistachio latte and then finished off with the fresh store baked coffee cake. Can't fault this place at all, from the decor to the amazing staff. Price is great and the vibe is amazing. I am not a regular for reviews but just had to after seeing a few negatives. The negatives all seem to be from the same group of people, most likely a envious competitor. One of the reviews mentioned 'Waffle Reject'. Most definitely hope that Waffle Project rejects your group from ever entering again. Definitely will be my go to spot for a great coffee and quiet place to hang out for work away from home!

All i have to say is come here if you’re a fan of hairy waffles👎🏼 Ordered waffles for £8 each, felt like i was swindled into 8lbs of hair! Found multiple strands of hair in my dessert and the least the staff could have done was offer me a fresh one, minus the wig topping. I don’t recall ordering a weave, but clearly must’ve mistaken this dessert shop for a salon? Please if you want a pleasant experience with comfort from amazing staff then steer clear from this trench! Wouldn’t want anybody else to get a waffle, fresh trim edition… RUN A MILE!!!

Went for brunch with my children absolutely beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere deco was very classy, polite and very attentive staff and the food was so so tasty especially the drinks can’t wait to go again definitely will be a regular place for me and the kids to eat and bond at .

After reading the replies about the “crew’s visit’” you’ve completely changed the narrative to try and justify your complete lack of integrity and decorum and now you’re trying to spread misinformation. To begin with what was our alleged problem as soon as we entered the door? Please elaborate. Your admission of how you perceived us of having “a problem as soon as you came in”, sheds light to our mistreatment throughout our visit. From being ignored at the till, dismissive interactions whilst deciding what we wanted to order, eyerolls when we wanted to pay with cash and threats of violence. I think it was you that had an issue with us hence your disrespect towards the “crew”. You had already decided that we were a “problem” when we came in and you decided to treat us like the problem. We all went to view the cake display and were asking about what cakes were the best and ordered. It was during this time that the waitress ignored a member of our “crew”. Perhaps miscommunication or a simple mistake. Later the member of our “crew” asked the waitress why she was ignored, and another customer was served instead. The waitress apologised, and our food was served. I was informed you didn’t have all my change and you would bring it to my table. I took no issue with this, and I received my change. Please can you expand on your claim that we “wasted time”. There were five people in the “crew” four desserts and one drink were ordered. There was plenty of space left for other customers to arrive and dine. We did not use foul language, that was only the waitress who swore, shouted, and asked to “take it outside”. Instead, we said children were present. So why would we resort to using foul language? If we had professed our disdain for it. Can you please give an example of the foul language used. It was only your waitress, in response to one member of the “crew” not wanting to add to a takeaway order for her son as she had been put off by the waitress behaviour from earlier in the night. It was shocking to see the escalation in the waitress’ behaviour, then the response of the manager. You have a costumer facing role and if your member of staff’s first instinct is to shout, swear and threaten violence, I think you need to review your training. The manager came over to the rest of the “crew” who had been sat in shock and silence to shout at us all to leave as after the waitress had just been restrained. When we had done and said nothing. This is when I expressed my dislike towards the manager’s attitude as she was very rude towards the members of the group who had been sat in silence. I did this without the use of vile language or violent threats. The comments you have made “Good luck to anyone else who lets you in to their store” just emanates a level of immaturity that was clearly on display tonight. Everyone has had a difficult customer, but it doesn’t give you authority to swear and threaten violence. Instead, you move on like any professional would. To clarify, this is not suggesting the member of our “crew” was a difficult customer, as you have said you perceived us as having “a problem as soon as you came in”. So, you had already taken a dislike to the “crew”. I agree with you that your staffs’ safety and wellbeing are important but what happens when your staff member is the perpetrator of violent threats? It was your member of staff that spiralled out of control. This whole incident is just a symptom of poor management. We came, ordered dessert, and sat quietly whilst your waitress was being held back screaming and swearing because she wanted to take it outside. That is vile. You claim to have CCTV of our behaviours-you have replied to a review left by someone the “crew” doesn't know. I am confident it does not depict anything that you have mentioned. Finally, I am not a keyboard warrior just a customer frustrated by misinformation.

I ordered cinnamon sugar donuts. They are absolutely finger licking good. Freshly made aswell! Will be buying more tomorrow!
