Costa Coffee in Birmingham

The baristas were very lovely and made sure they got our drinks correct. The chilli beef toastie was super good and the large latte was just right! Lovely little spot, great location.

Absolutely must try the seasonal maple & hazel range. I had the hot chocolate one and it was DELICIOUS!!! The staff were a bit busy talking amongst themselves and felt slightly put off but still polite and courteous. The area was amazing too and appreciated inside and outside options. Overall wonderful time had waiting for others in the SeaLife centre.

Appalling service attended approx 1.15pm after order remember I have a Costa loyalty card I offered to the female behind till she rolled her eyes attitude was a disgrace order toasties it was left on counter I walked him and asked if ours ahe replied No.. the man walking with her repeated yes..they then stood behind till laughing at the fact.. I qorknon brindley place and will bit be going into this branch again.. disgrace

Very poor they closing at 6pm but guy refuse us to serve 5:40 we was already setting this was Scott round spend about £60 on coffee only Zero customer service Not happy at all

Iced coffee came full of coffee grounds, went up to asked them to change it, no problem to change handed me a fresh one and apologised, 2nd one exactly the same, when I said that one Is the same I got told he didn't see anything untill I turned glass and let them move he could see, got told 'what do tou want me to do make another it will be the same' i told him it was his filter the coffee area was fifty it needed to be cleaned 3rd coffee the same 🤣 I would avoid

Come here every Monday-Wednesday whilst in the office. Absolutely lovely staff - special mention to Tom who is an angel. Very helpful and kind, taken time to learn my name and order and always makes me feel welcome. I honestly would not go as often as I do if he wasn't working here - makes my day! He always goes above and beyond, and always serves with a smile. The coffee here is always lovely. As someone who doesn't drink costa outside of this specifc branch (had not-so-great coffee at other branches), the coffee made here is spectacular. Great branch, great staff.

Awful service on the morning of Mon 17th June 2024 at 8am. If you are served by severely overweight Caucasian male and female workers both wearing glasses I advise you to move on to Cafe Nero or Pret. Ordered a Mac and Cheese for Thai girlfriend and a coffee and pastry to eat in. Staff couldn’t be bothered to put the croissant on a plate or the coffee in a normal mug. Served as takeout instead. Mac and Cheese was heated but staff could not be bothered to bring out. When my girlfriend complained she was mocked and laughed at because of her accent. Have been here before and staff were fine but this English pair were awful. Will avoid next time if these muppets are working.

The best place for Costa lovers

Such lovely staff, really friendly and they didn’t rush you! We ordered 2 Frappe’s it was a really hot day, We passed this on the way to a concert venue. Great location, Would definitely use this Costa again when we return in August 😊 Thank you

I had one of the toasted ham and cheese sandwiches which was ok but not worth £5. The staff didn’t really seem very friendly or particularly interested in customer service, although they weren’t necessarily rude.

I bought some leftovers using the Too Good to Go app from this store. I was really impressed with the bright frontage. The staff were really friendly when I collected my food. I was happy with the sandwiches that were in the bag.

It's not about the drink; it's about the staff that serve you. I just like coming here to start my day with a positive attitude. The personnel, especially Tom and Alice, are simply wonderful—they are extremely kind and professional, and always willing to deliver coffee while smiles. We are all human in the end, and all we need are nice thoughts. Thank you for making my day so nice!

It would've been 5 stars, but they didn't have Black Forest hot chocolate 😢 The Terry's chocolate orange hot chocolate was lovely 😋

Good coffee, prefer the Nero in Brindley Place

It’s a costa not a fine dining restaurant 🤷‍♂️ cheaper that the spar and a quicker turnaround than cafe Nero

Always visit this Costa for lunch when we come to the Arena for a concert. Staff are very friendly and there is one guy who is especially happy all the time which just makes you smile. Just wish I had taken his name this time so I could give him the recognition he deserves. Top Costa and I have been to a lot of them.

Cake wasn't right gave me infection straight away drink wasn't made right staff was rude no seating available Went upstairs as disabled customer soon as sat down told to get up even though they close at 6.30pm only pecifcley at me as muslim lady terrible worker!!

Ordered a Mango frappe and all I got was milk and ice, with 4 bubbles on top… I saw the girl making it so poorly, made me waste my money!

Myself, my wife, our daughter, son in law and grandson called into this particular branch after watching hot wheels at utilita arena close by on Sunday 16th April lunchtime. The 3 staff running it were extremely busy but very accommodating and extremely friendly all of them. Nothing was too much trouble and for what looked like 3 relatively young people (2 boys 1 girl) they made us feel welcome and looked after. A real credit to themselves and a real credit to Costa coffee. 5 out of 5 stars. Well done to you 3 👏 very good 👍🏼.

Met family here on a weekend break and whilst it was cold and rainy, we had a warm and welcoming greeting from the staff. A little tight and cramped with a pushchair, but we made it work. Took us a second or two to figure out where the doors where as they’re all tall glass panes like the windows.

Popped in for a coffee and chat. Good coffee and yummy looking cakes.

First time I've been to this establishment and to be honest it's a Costa, nothing more nothing less, service was really good and the coffee was good too. All in all a good visit

I had a hot chocolate very nice location and very pretty looking, but as for the drinks not nice. I had a bad stomach shortly after drinking form here. I also found it to be a little unclean. Service was nice but found one person was doing everything, which means I had to wait a little to get my drink. I wouldn't go again but looks nice to the eye.

The staff are friendly and the place is clean but the coffee and hot chocolate are consistently awful. I think it's just the way all the Costas do it because it's the same everywhere. Weak and watery. However, the sandwich we had was very good.

Me and my children called in here to get a drink and a cake after visiting the sea life centre, it was 5:15pm and they told us we couldn’t sit in as they were closing at 6pm. My newborn baby was screaming as he needed feeding, I explained I needed to feed my baby and it wouldn’t take long, the lady said no sorry take out drinks only. So we went over to cafee Nero instead where the staff were so friendly and helpful.

Nice place, friendly staff. Tables are clean as are the toilets.

I went with my dog to have a take away coffe, the guy (staff) was super rude and made it super difficult for me. He clearly was not happy serving and I had to leave the dog outside unattended just to pay and take my coffe. Also the coffe tasted like dirty water, and I used to have really nice flat whites here. The coffe shop was empty. Never again

Today open till 6pm and at 5pm shut off half the seating area, me and my family and a pram unable to sit down and this is the second Costa in this area who do the same thing uncaring and unhelpful staff so instead popped into Caffè Nero where welcomed us will opened arms thank you to them

Got to be the worst Costa the poor staff had to cope with not being able to take card payments which caused issues, the look of the place is poor with a broken door then the order was wrong twice a cake missing and no decaf coffee…. Glad it wasn’t a drive through!!

Service and food fine but spoilt as they let people sit there doing loud business calls. Please make it a place to relax not hear peoples work calls.

For a small Costa the staff here were very good... Not long to wait and found a vacant table inside... 🙂 We had hot chocolates and they were fantastic. Some other customers with a young child got up and left a right mess on their table and floor and just walked out !! (which I find appalling, they must live in a dustbin to think that's acceptable in any Society) I tried to hint about the mess they were leaving as they were dusting broken crisps off their child into the floor and table but it just bounced off them... If it was my shop I'd have given them a broom before they left !! The young lady who was on duty just took it in her stride to clean up after these vagrants. After a short time I noticed this same young lady go outside where a small female child had accidentally dropped her drink and was looking quite upset... She helped clean up the mess and then made the girl another drink... Definitely above and beyond from this Costa team member and the drink was great too. 🙂

Extremely kind and lovely people work here and every one of them is cheery, personable and professional. My day always starts with smiles from this place :)

Love to sit here and have breakfast with friends and family members because it was a great place to sit relax with your coffee and watch the world go by. Staff friendly fantastic choice.. We always use this Costa in Brindley Place, always lovely, good service, the small Glass coffee shop is actually shaped like a coffee bean :) We've been coming here for many years and only just thought to leave a review, always lovely thank you

Great little cafe in the heart of Brindley Place. I would have given 5 stars but they left the chocolate sprinkles off my son's Ruby hot chocolate.

Wherever you go, if you're in need of a pick up or a little boost, you can't go wrong with Costa Coffee and this is no different. Great little seating area, both in and outside. Customer Service very good too.

Slowest Costa in the city, crumble under the pressure of a large order, queue system all over the shop, and cancel online orders if they are harder than putting a teabag in a cup. Worth 2 min walk to NEC branch or Nero next door

I was wandering around Brindley Place for a coffe. It was a sunny and hot day, bit windy, but the summer feels was there. I just need to thank Charlotte for her super Ice Coffe, definitely worth every single penny...you should try it with the shortbread aswell. I'll definitely come back.

Nice location in Bryndley Square close to Birmingham canals, Seaworld and Legoland. Good selection of hot and cold drinks and lots of room for kids to run around. Limited seating which soon gets filled up but plenty of steps to sit on away from the cafe. They also have a public toilet.

The queing system is,a little chaotic for this relatively small but very busy Costa. Those waiting for their order were in the way of those waiting to join the queue. Better if they requested customers to queue outside after a certain number of people.

I need to stop going to these multiple chain coffee shops. I treat myself to a coffee once a week £3.25 is a lot of money to me and what does one get for it, not a good or bad service, just an indifferent, cannot be bothered, impersonal service. They are surrounded by other coffee shops within arms reach. We have been through the most difficult times we have known in our lifetime and yet do they change their attitude when we come back, of course not, just the same appalling customer service. One other point, £3.25 for a coffee and they cannot give you a decent wooden spoon, they give you a piece of wood which breaks when you try to stir your coffee, outrageous. I need to start going back to independent coffee shops, the service One gets is usually much better. I was involved in training staff in retail management for 20 years, so I do know what I am talking about. Reading some of these reviews, I am completely mystified by the comments on the customer service also extremely sceptical about some of them.

You can never be sure that will you get a good cup of coffee.Many times the froth in my cappuccino was inadequate and although i have said it nothing has changed.Plus usually the tables are full of used crockery that might be due to the lack of staff
