Wow - frozen crinkle cut chips! I’ve never been served oven chips in a restaurant. Please, you need to make your own chips. The side salad could also be a lot better than a bit of chopped up lettuce. Overpriced for the quality and not the best service. It took a long time to serve the food (but then again, we all know oven chips take twice as long as the pack states 😆). It could be a nice place to eat, with a few improvements

A Disappointing Dinner with a Frosty Welcome My recent visit to this restaurant was marked by cold and bland service, which detracted from the essence of hospitality. The baked camembert starter was nice, but the main course of burgers, reminiscent of fast-food chain fare, and the patties were overcooked and oily, the buns were falling apart, resembling tesco brioche rolls. The ambience was unwelcoming, and unfortunately, one of our party members felt ill after the meal. In summary, this restaurant has potential but requires improvements in hospitality, food quality, and atmosphere. For now, I would not recommend it , but I hope they will address these concerns in the future, as the restaurant is located in a lovely spot.

Excellent restaurant. Really great, simple, fresh food cooked to perfection. We went three times over the course of our holiday which shows how good this place is. We tried a different dish each time. In particular The fajitas were really nice. The waitress was super nice - really friendly, polite and professional! We’ll come again on our next visit to Portsmouth!

Came in on Saturday afternoon, was the only table in there and food took over 45 mins to come out. When it finally arrived, was very poor quality. The bill came to just under £100.00 and really wasn't worth a penny. The prawns were chewy, chips very cold, none of the food was good and the service matched the quality of the food. Very disappointed.

The young lady waitress was lovely unfortunately the burgers my friend and I ordered were overcooked making them extremely hard and it took 40 minutes for the food to come out, this was a shame.

Unfortunately the place looked lovely but the food wasn't. I had the seafood salad and all I could taste was salt. So much salt and hardly any seafood. Very underwhelming!

Not overly impressed, the waitresses seemed to be in a mood with us throughout our stay, the 6 mushrooms as a starter for £6 were rubbery and slimy. The carbonara (admittedly taken off the bill) was bland, rubbery and on the cold side. The chicken burger was ok at a push, nothing really to write home about with chips that looked and tasted like frozen oven ones. The 3 tiny slices of garlic bread were ok but again they were definitely something out of a packet rather than made in house. Disappointing especially after reading the reviews, might have been a bad day for the chef and waitress I guess but I doubt I'll go back for something I can do in the oven.

Dissappointing and uninspiring food not much else I can say TBH.

All i have to say is that everything it is top quality. Food was delicious, served in time and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Best customer service food was amazing!

I was with my family there for a dinner the staff was very polite and the food was amazing my dad got a very testy burger and me chicken fajita. High recommendation definitely come back ! Thank you 😊

A special style restaurant, the food is excellent and delicious, and the worker there is nice and her treatment is excellent. anna Very nice reception she was very polite and asked about your satisfaction several times.

No staff there when I walked in. Sat waiting for 5 min. I ordered a meal to have there and a takeaway meal for a friend. After sitting around for 25min with my takeaway meal I realised they were never going to bring me my meal. Tried some of the takeaway meal and it seemed average.

Highly recommend 👌 came here today for lunch with my son and the food was absolutely delicious, by far one of the best places to eat in Portsmouth. Thank you for the delicious food and the service was amazing 👍

Really struggled to find decent places to eat in this area. Typically we find a great place to eat on our final day. Just try it you won't be disappointed.

Very strange place. Looks beautiful but the food seems to be a waste of ingredients ( The service is also so-so: smiling but the tables are dirty

Fantastic burger 🍔 and chips, It was great they did a take away. Next time I’m down this neck of the woods I’ll eat in the restaurant, as whilst I was waiting for my take away, which was amazing, the food look delicious 😋

Excellent service and fantastic food! I got the burger- was very rich and tasty, might look small but I was barely able to finish it! Girlfriend got the vegetarian skewers- halloumi was excellent and not over salted. The chips (truffle/Parmesan and oven chips) were both cooked perfectly. We’ll definitely be back!

Tried out The Vintage Eatery for the first time a few weeks ago. Never seen this place very busy however a good lunch/ dinner option down Palmerston road. A large menu providing many different options. Some items on the pricey side however enjoyed what I ordered very much. Good food and friendly staff, outdoor seating is great during for sunny days! Food: 8/10 Price: 7/10 Location: 10/10

Food was nice and the initial service was good. After ordering a round of drinks and the food was eaten, the plates were cleared away, but it was hard to attract the attention of any serving staff to order another round of drinks. Apart from that nice to eat out

We had our annual business meeting at the Vintage Eatery this year. What an amazing service, food done excellent and the staff very polite and spotless. We cannot thank you enough for your service and for organising our meeting so good. We will be back.

I had the Rib eye steak£19 as want the best as sirloin £16 so expected a good meal for £19 but BOTH our steaks were quite tough and chewy and worse than Witherspoons. Rest ok potato wedges but at £19 rip off.

Fantastic value, food and service! Steak wrap - crammed with juicy steak and vegetables. Good sized portions - too much to finish! Service was extremely efficient, prompt, polite and friendly. Cannot fault the place and will definitely be returning on next visit to Portsmouth.

I am posting my review here and on trip advisors as I review on both ..so apologies for the repeat ..but! I haven't even left the restaurant yet and I have to leave a review. That burger was so succulent and beautiful and I got 2!!!! For the price of 1 in most venues. My son's chicken nuggets was fresh healthy and non processed. You can see the love and care put into the food! The vibe is chill make it what you want, but you know when tables have food because it goes noticeablly quiet. I wish i took a picture, the bread on my burger was a beautiful, the Greek salad colourful and pretty (mum saif awesome). The vegan wrap filling. It's a shame I'm only here for a holiday because I would defo come again!! Highly recommend.
