As cheap a country pub as you can find with an excellent beer garden. Sam Smith's beers and clientele. Grab it quick before Humphrey closes it! Only joking! 😄 ( but probably true) .

Traditional country pub, not spoilt with the usual improvements most pubs have these days. Lovely atmosphere, great beer selection. Friendly, welcoming. The food is amazing, home cooked, delicious, couldn’t fault it, lots of menu choices, and very reasonable priced. The best Sunday lunch we’ve had for ages!

Driven passed this pub countless times but never been in. Today whilst walking round dunham we gave it a go. Lovely warm welcome and drinks very good price! Decided to stay for food; I had the fish and chips, all freshly home made food. Fish was better than any from a chippy. Partner had hot beef butty with chips and he said it was delicious. Chef came to check we were happy with our food as did the manager/landlord. Nice area outside to sit out and defo a little sun trap! We think this will be our new fave place to go.

I have no idea why the last reviewer wrote what they did. We went to the Vine Inn for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Dunham Massey and loved it. We were given a lovely welcome, the pub is like a home from home and the food was hot, home-cooked and delicious, as well as being so reasonably priced in a world where it costs a fortune to eat these days. We had our children with us and they were also made to feel very welcome. I would definitely return without a doubt.

We stayed in a house just a few yards from The Vine, and what an unexpected and brilliant bonus it turned out to be! Absolutely first class, from the quality of our meals, to the fantastic and friendly service from John and all his team. Exactly what you want from a Sam Smith's pub - from the top drawer selection of drinks (the Extra Stout is phenomenally good) to the unfussy decor, and spotlessly maintained building and garden. I couldn't recommend The Vine any more highly, and though it's about an hour from where we live, I will definitely be making return trips! Like pubs used to be and I mean that in the most complementary way I can think of. Thank you, John and co - we will be back!!

Been coming here on and off for a few years - but not so much nowadays. Just off the Transpennine Trail so would make an ideal stopover. We live close by but don't bother as much with this place. We have children. Some like this place as can be seen from the few regulars here. It's an ok pub which has only just joined the future - a card machine! Who carries cash? The positives- cheap Samuel Smith beers. The negatives - appears they don't like children or phones. Signs all over saying "No Children" and "No Digital Devices". They frown upon these? In this day and age? Goodness me 😂

A Digital Detox pub! It's Mr Smith's policy, it's a blanket ban on using laptops, tablets and mobiles. It encourages people to talk to each other, just like in the good old days! Anyway, we had two homemade Sunday lunches, not dinged in a microwave. The landlord was stoking up the coal and log fires while I washed down my lunch with two pints of Old Brewery Bitter. Look at my other reviews to see where I've been!

I have been drinking in this pub since 1988 and it has managed to retain the atmosphere of a traditional pub throughout that time. Food is really good and made not microwaved like a lot of places. Took a friend there for some food and he loved it and as for the digital detox (no phones or iPads), I purposely leave my phone in the car as no phone call is that important and gives me an hour to forget about emails, texts and calls. You can keep phone on silent and go outside if you really need to take a call. Took kids in a week ago without phones and had an actual conversation with them 😀.

Amazing unexpected lunch at the Vine Inn, myself and my partner had just been for a walk in Dunham Massey and decided to nip somewhere for some lunch after, we hadn’t heard of the Vine Inn before and when you walk in the decor is slightly dated which made us question how good the experience might be but once you taste the food it all just becomes part of the charm! We had soup and breaded mushrooms to start and both were lovely but the absolute showstopper was the Fish and Chips mains, the fish was outstanding and both me and partner haven’t stopped craving it since Saturday. We were stuffed as the portions are very generous but after we knew how good the chef was we finished off with some desserts, sticky toffee pudding and an apple crumble - both were top class. Will be back soon!

Food is pre-made & assembled to order. I enjoyed a wrap comprising of a cut up plant-based chicken burger served with a salad & sweet chilli dressing. It was a decent sized portion. Tables outside as well as inside. Great to see a number of options for vegans. Enjoyable through the plant based chicken burger will not be low in fat or calories. If this doesn’t bother you, it’s well worth trying. Offers a breakfast menu at 8am daily & throughout the day serves box meals, wraps, burgers (both meat & vegan), felafel, a salad bar & range of smoothies. Closes at 5pm daily.

We chose the Little B as a central location to hold my mums Celebration of Life after her passing. Staff were all respectful and flexible throughout! The buffet, hot and cold, was exceptional.
