Food was out in less than 5 minutes so not cooked fresh & no baby change. What’s the point in having high chairs but no facilities to change nappies? When I asked bar staff if there’s a baby change, barmaid said no but to change in women’s toilet forcing me to change my little one crouched down on the floor in a toilet cubicle.

I'm in the area for only a short period and i discovered this venue accidentally while searching for a good curry house where i could also get a beer. Since this discovery i have used the venue 4 times, within the same week. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I like to have a good selection of beers as i often like to change what i drink and the Vine has plenty to choose from. Its in a very odd location and from the outside looks like a simple pub, but once entering you realize it is huge and the menu is fantastic. Its a little pricey but when you can confidently say that you can order anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed, you cant really complain about the price. Also the food will arrive in front of you, fresh and piping on hot before 10 minutes has passed you by. For the service and quality you consistently receive, ill pay those prices all day long.

We come here often after going to an Albion game for drinks and always have a good time. Tonight we met friends for food and drinks. We were a group of 7. 4 adults, 3 children. Got a table for 7 in the back room. Good atmosphere and enough space for all of our food and drinks! Nice pint of cobra. We ordered: Poppadoms 2 x chicken tikka wraps Mixed wrap Masala Tikka Garlic Tikka Chips Chilli chips Masala chips Mushroom rice Fried rice Lamb Claypot Chicken Nuggets Naan Curry sauce All food was good. I just wish they had a children menu as the portion size for my 6 year old is just too big and a lot of it was wasted. We had a lovely evening and would eat here again. Busy throughout the evening and a popular bar and grill in the west bromwich area.

Argyle on tour! After a tiring train and tram journey, this pub was our choice for pre match drinks. Strange rule, which meant we had to queue to get in, yet home fans were just let in without queuing!! Yet inside, everyone was mingling quite happy and friendly. It is a huge pub that is also an Indian restaurant and was serving various dishes to the delight of the punters. The Wye valley IPA was weak and not great, but the girls serving were excellent and worked like trojans to keep up with demand. Only 15 minutes from the ground and bizarrely in a rural setting surrounded by housing estates.

Unfortunately this place is not what it used to be. We were please to see different mixed grills were now on the menu but they just aren’t the same as other places which is a shame (the lamb chops were good though). The tandoori naans were thin and burnt and went hard after 5mins (they used to be so nice and fluffy one upon a time). There are no baby changing facilities for mothers/fathers so they have no choice but to do it on the seating area in the restaurant. Lastly, we were celebrating a birthday and although we were allowed to bring the cake out (it was a small one!) we were not allowed to consume it. We were told it was fine by one person but then another said no! They had some rubbish about allergies. This is rubbish as they have an allergy note up by the bar. All restaurants I’ve been too allow birthday cakes to be served. This put a real dampner on the evening. I’ve been going to the Vine for around 32 years now, when it used to have plastic picnic tables tables and grill items were served on foam plates. Unfortunately, we won’t be going back now.

The original desi pub. It's not as busy as it used to be apart from match days of course. It's a shame that the vine could not keep that cheap and cheerful vibe. It's gone more up market and so have the prices. This combined with cost of living crisis means the vine has become a treat instead of where we would come for a cheap eat mid week. I still love the chicken tikka and spice on the methi chicken is next level. Best day to visit is the last Thursday of the month for the spit roast chicken.

I’ve used the Vine many times for football matches at West Brom and up until today it had a good range of real ales complimented with good Curries. They have one real ale on now and the Chicken Biryiani was napalm hot and the chicken wasn’t the best. Nice food. But a few other things left a bitter taste in the mouth (no pun intended). Drinks prices. Rip off. £1.60 for a small squash for my son! £2.50 for dips to go with poppadoms! And they're only half full when you get them. Free everywhere else we go. Took leftovers home so asked for a pot of mint sauce to take. Was told by barman that they have to charge for these. Our table had collectively just spent £150 on food and drinks and they can't give you a pot of mint?! Service not the friendliest so will probably take our money elsewhere next time

I do not ever leave reviews, but when something is so bad it needs to be said and people need to be aware. Do not eat here if you have any allergies, they will not care to help you, do not have an allergen menu and simply told us, if you have an allergy we can't serve you. Never have I ever heard such nonsense. The lady from the kitchen was extremely rude and did not even care. She couldn't even be bothered to make chips in fresh oil saying it wasn't possible. The only thing I can take from that is they have no fresh oil. The waiting staff spent more time talking to each other at the bar than they did serving us, so much so we went up to the bar to get our own drinks. And for the price they charge it's an absolute disgrace. We visit various restaurants monthly and have a list of restaurants that we rotate, every so often trying a new place. This most certainly will not be added to the list. Personally I'd say avoid at all costs, but each to their own and if you visit, good luck.

Matchday - 8pm kick off v Southampton. Toilets were absolutely filthy and that was around 4.30pm… before more people arrived! The Indian BBQ is way overpriced. The lamb was bland, chicken cheap and rubbery, nann bread was dry and the chips were stone cold. No wonder the chips were cold - they were piled onto plates just sat on the side! The service at the bar was ok. Bouncers were to busy trying to keep a flow in the pub rather than sort the men in the garden doing drugs on the patio tables. Need heaters outside to keep punters warm. Sadly there were far too many people let into the establishment which made it unbearable at times. Shame as this place has a lot of potential but it seems to me that they are too money orientated.

This has become a regular haunt on our football travels when we have an away game at West Bromwich Albion FC. Visited here on numerous occasions but this time it was a non-football event. Obviously it was very quite compared to normal match day atmosphere (that's why I've only given it a 3 star rating for atmosphere), which has always been very good, but food & drink didn't disappoint as usual. My wife & I had the claypot dishes with that lovely velvety texture & wonderful taste, chicken for her & lamb for me, & her brother had the chicken dhansak. We all had pilau rice & one plain nann between us which are always beautifully cooked & buttery. Add the lovely Holdens Golden Glow beer to it & it was another worthwhile visit to this excellent establishment. Visited 10/02/2024

Can be rather expensive too if you have a bit of everything. Parking is now alot better now that they have a private car park at the rear. Drinks rather expensive .
