Veg curry need salt when cooking it

A chance meal here did not disappoint! I was a little hesitant as the location isn’t super (although it has on site parking), but I had a really delicious evening. The chilli nan was the best I’ve had (I’ve had a lot of them!), light and fluffy with great flavour. The menu was well put together with some different and interesting dishes. The saag rice was wonderfully light and tasty. The chilli in the spicer curry (Rajaistani Balti) was well balanced with the flavor of the dish which was a real delight and it wasn’t oily at all. Cobra beer on draft is always a bonus and at a good price. It was very quiet for a Thursday night which meant the atmosphere struggled a bit, but I couldn’t understand why as the food and service was great. It’s a bit of a drive for me, but I’ll definitely return when I want to eat in!

This place is always amazing never had a bad meal however last night most the food arrived cold which we were disappointed about but was to late on the evening to send back and request fresh. Really disappointing hoping next time itll be back to good

We love coming to this restaurant, always a warm welcome, lovely atmosphere, music fantastic service from the guys and Priya. The food is just amazing, we had starters of stuffed peppers and Duck rolls, coriander chicken and shishlack Balti for our mains fished off with a delicious desert too share as we were so full. The price was unbeatable at 50% off Sunday to Tuesday too! So worth a visit. Thanku Simla team we will be back soon.

The chips were not fresh and clearly remnants of an older set of fried chips they did.

Curry was nice didn’t think there was a lot of meat in there for £9.50 the rice was very dry like it was old rice always all in clumps so didn’t eat it normally a nice place but has put me of from ordering again

Used to eat from here years ago and loved it tried it after going else where for years and I was so disappointed the korma sauce was like soup and the meat was cheap and had no flavour paid 35pound and felt what a waste couldn't eat it and neither could my partner also the pawn cocktail was runny and sloppy

This is a budget friendly location with great food and good customer service. The interior is not so spacious though, however, the ambience is good enough.

Very rude woman , asked if their food was fresh and they was moody clearly food not fresh , asked if they had vegetarian options and was told ‘obviously why don’t you look in the menu’ coincidentally by the SAME woman.

Rice was cold, chips were undercooked, the currys were bland and the portions was small. First and last time will use, overpriced and lacking in every way!

Visited again as it was so good on our previous visit. We were certainly not let down. The food was superb as were the staff. All in all couldn't be faulted. Next time we are in the area we will be back!

The takeaway we had on thursday 11th wasnt up to scratch.meat samosas were hard.wifes lamb curry was tasteless and thin..keema was sloppy with added meat lumps.chicken madras sauce was like soup.dont know what happened.£40 delivery went in the bin.very dissapointing..

I always order and they never let me down.

Went for dinner with friends. Restaurant empty except us and the front of house staff (who were very friendly and polite). Ordered kebabs for starters, seemed to taste ok. Then we had Keema and Chicken for mains which again tasted ok. However, the day after, we all had stomach cramps and had to make numerous visits to the bathroom. Going into an empty restaurant should have rang alarm bells tbh. Will not be going there again.

My go to for both eat in and takeaway. So hard to find a quality consistent restaurant/takeaway. Never disappoints. Top quality food and service, would recommend.

2x cheese nan were ordered and normal nan send which was disappointing.

The delivery time was exceptional. It came within 20 mins of placing order which was placed at peak time on. Friday night. Thank you as was just what I needed.

We booked a table for 2 was made to feel very welcome was not rushed for our order as out with friends for a catch up.Food was amazing and served hot.staff are very friendly.restaurant was clean and a lovely menu choice.exstemly good service and value for money definitely will be back with friends and family

I spent £30 on food from here when I received food they was both half portions when I called up was told that this is the portion size I have eaten there loads of times and normally enjoy my experience but this time they failed on food and most of all customer service when I asked to bring food back was rudely spoken too.its a shame as I really liked this place but won't be going back shame on you simla!!!!!!!!

we spent over £30 on two starters two currys rice chips . we were disappointed to find you did not include onion salad or couple of poppadoms as part of the price. The food was tasty.

Used this place for a few years on mine and wife’s account ! Love their food ! It’s quality ! However 3 times now we have received wrong or missing items ! First time completely wrong order and told To keep it and next time would be free ( never happened) and missed starter once and this time sauce (I know small) great food !!!! Poor organisation!!! Shame

Lovely meals but an extra £1:50 for a bit of salad was not good. Was not worth paying an extra £1:50 to add on with my starter

Usually fantastic food and service from here but tonight the food arrived after 2.5 hours from the time of order, the food was cold when we got it and It was far too late to eat it, so I ended up wasting my money. not sure if it's because we ordered from Just eat as usually we order direct or through another 3rd party company but it wasn't the same experience this time. Shame because like I say the food is usually good from here but they have now lost our custom.

Used to dine in and have take aways but now Would not recommend as twice now we have ordered and arranged to collect and given a time and then when we have gone to collect been told it’s another 30 mins so we cancelled order and went to Balti Spice served within 10mins no problems. They are too busy with just eat instead of looking after regular customers!

We really enjoyed our meals.but unfortunately it was cold in the simla.no heating was on.so we sat in our coat.it was such a shame .because the meals were delicious. & the staff were friendly .

Food was good as always, and although a long wait for delivery, it did arrive on time at the later end of the estimate. However, on the menu when ordering price of the curry was £7.95. When paying at checkout price had gone up to £9.95. Was this to help compensate for the '£20% discount?'

Order said it was on its way for over 25 minutes, arrived cold and with missing items. Been a loyal customer for years. We're now looking for an alternative Indian take away.

I have been promised a refund as my order took nearly two hours to be delivered and was cold when it eventually turned up. Note to restaurant, if you cannot fulfill your orders because your busy don’t accept them ! Greed comes to mind rather than customer satisfaction

The food arrived late, I ordered mint sauce with the naan bread but that didn’t arrive. Food was warm too, apart from that it tasted nice just let down by other things.

Tried here as our usual place was shut. Food was bland, cold and just nowhere near the standard of other places. Shame as I’ve eaten in the restaurant years ago and it was lovely. Just no flavour and curry very watery. Also no complimentary popadoms and salad which is pretty much standard everywhere. Disappointing

Had chicken Dhaba for takeaway which was delicious. Mint sauce was amazing. Staff were friendly. Decor is very nice and modern.

Had the Dhaba chicken for takeaway. It’s cooked on bone so has lots of taste, tasted truly authentic. Staff were friendly even if it was late order. Would definitely recommend. Also, the mint sauce is one of the nicest I’ve ever had.

We visited on Friday the 11th August. This had been highly recommended by an employee of the Great Barr Hotel. We where stopping for a couple of nights to visit old haunts and see the Baggies on Saturday. On previous visits we had disappointing meals at other local restaurants. This was a wonderful surprise. The staff where excellent and the food just superb. We will certainly be returning on our next trip to our home town. Couldn't recommend more highly.

We didn’t visit the venue but the customer service we received from Preeya over the phone was absolutely amazing we rang numerous of times asking multiple question and she was so helpful and took our order for us over the phone instead as we was having trouble ordering. thank you so much, you are a credit to the team.

Foid had gone down the pan with this place. Prawn curry you end up with shrimp instead of a juicy prawn curry is tastless like water. Then other currys taste burnt like they burnt the garlic and whats with the charcoaled black chilli that gives bitter taste overall exsperiance is avoid this place. Going down the pan chef needs sacking

Unfortunately website overwritten my selection from Prawn to lamb and didn’t eat the dish on the end. My daughter loved her chicken korma and naan Lemon rice a big disappointment to much onion in the rice and lemon flavour not recognised 4 star today but will return as the food always is good

i ordered lamb curry it was sweet but i ordered as hot ( spicy). If you are showing hot please send it as spicy i wasted my money because i can’t ate it fully. Seriously disappointed it was not even little bit spicy.

Once again, six slightly smelly men returning from a weekend of motorsport in Wales on the way back to Norfolk were treated to a fantastic meal, great service and atmosphere by the staff at this really convenient restaurant, nothing is too much trouble and lovely people looking after us even though we really weren’t up to standard!!!! Great job👌

The estimated delivery time was 45 - 60 minutes, and the food arrived after about 60 minutes, but unfortunately part of the order was missing so we had to wait for another 30 minutes before the rest of the food arrived. Although they'd written chicken on the lid of my order it was actually lamb inside, which was very very dry and the whole thing was completely tasteless. The other 3 dishes were not much better so this was our first, and also the last, order placed with Simla

Very watery, popadoms were soft too instead of crunchy. I was told delivery would be 1 hour to and hour and a half but it arrived within 20mins.

Lovely food. Slightly cold but 1 minute in the microwave and it was lovely and hot so wasn’t a big issue. Need to remember it is January cold etc will order again

Had the set menu for two and still got the Tuesday discount- so brilliant value for just under £22! If I was to criticise the kebabs could have done with a bit more spice, but other than that excellent. Would recommend and will have again. Many thanks 😊
