The Village Tandoori in East Hampshire

Had a take away yesterday. Delivery was 15 mins late, an hour in all! Dissapointed with the food, the dishes we nearly all sauce! Just a few pieces of meat in each. Have used them many times but probably not in the future.

We ordered a takeaway from The Village Tandoori for the first time last night and were not disappointed! From the initial online order to collection, everything went smoothly. The staff were very pleasant. And, most importantly, the food was fab! We’ll be returning again soon!

Have ordered here multiple times and been great. Unfortunately the chicken is so chewy and the sauce has no flavour which is a shame as has not been before.

Well I ordered sag paneer , Tandoori king prawn and mushroom biryanis ,was Champneys posh spa hotel loss loss and Village Tandoori win !!!AND of boy it did not disappoint! Found them online one and half mile away ! Pretentious Champney’s don’t do dinner till 6.30 . They delivered and stunned me with fabulous food by 6 pm loved every bite … well done boys ! Fast efficiently and excellent food !

wont be using again shocking service

Ordered the chicken Tikka masala with Pilau rice. Curry itself was more of a tomato sauce and less of a tika masala, but still better than what you can buy out of a jar in a supermarket. Waited for 40 minutes after my collection time due to a staffing issue and offered recompense, despite being told it would be 10 minutes. First time using this place, won't use again.

My partner & I always come here for our curries. We are always so well looked after and love their food & service. I recommend their curry wraps. They are the bees knees.

Never had a problem until tonight. 2 1/2 hour wait, £72 bill, luke warm food, when promised hot food l. Wasn't impressed at all. Wanted to treat my husband for fathers day whilst watching the football. We didn't get our food until 8.30pm and we have 2 children that had to wait. They have us a bottle of coke free.

so disappointed. ordered at 1700 for a 6pm delivery as first available order was 1745... after being laughed at by one of the staff. the food eventually turned up at 1858... will never use again. food is good though.

The village Tandoori is the place I go when it comes to good food. I’ve been ordering from them on and off for the past year. Each time I order something without fail it’s flavoursome and gets delivered quickly. Regardless that I work 12hr shifts if I’m craving a curry the latest I’ve ordered was 22:00pm and they still delivered on time.

Food arrived piping hot. Good size portions & the best Indian meal we have had in ages. Everything was beautifully cooked, and delicious. We look forward to visiting the restaurant when we get a chance.

Food is excellent, tried the chicken korma, lamb madras and lamb curry and all delicious and tender. The garlic naan is also one of the best we’ve had, highly recommend this restaurant.

Had to drive and pick my order up from a driver who was lost. He drove to the wrong address and would not turn around and come back the way he came to my house. Instead he made me come and get my food which was then cold by the time I ate it. By the time I actually got the food (which was over 25 minutes after the driver put on the app that it was delivered) it was very late. On top of this, I only received a partial refund in the form of store credit from Just Eat. Ridiculous!

The food was very good. But waiting an hour for food is just unacceptable. And to ring up and ask about it to be told excuses and still wait another 30 minutes for the food. To be told it was the apps fault and no fault of theirs as the driver was on his way and arrived with a bottle of coke as if that makes up for waiting nearly an hour and 30 minutes for the food. Not acceptable and very disappointing.

It was very delicious food especially Garlic chilli chicken and garlic nan.

After driving around for an hour trying to find a place still open to take away dinner for us both, we came across this tandoori ten minutes to closing time, we walked around the viliage with it all seeming like a ghost town adamant everything had closed but yet my partner went to the door to be certain, a man came to the door and waved and opened the door to let us in, he welcomed us and patiently took our order, he even put on Netflix for us for the wait while they made our food. I have never been to such a generous and kind takeaway, the service was fantastic and even better the food was great too, we throughly enjoyed our meal! Thank you, when local again we will be back :)

Have been ordering food from here for a long time now. But least night it was baley warm. At to put it in the microwave. Not good enough when you spend over £25 plus at to wait over a hour for the meal.

The app said the food was delivered but it wasn’t. I called and they said it’s on the way. 20 mins later isn’t still wasn’t here so I called again and they said another 10 mins. It finally arrived at this point but in total it was about 45 mins late.

Just picked up our curry - it IS open on Tuesdays ! Loved it ! Nicely spiced and seasoned tarka Dahl , brilliant chillied up butter chicken - delicious! Pilau rice so good you could eat on its own. Perfect !

Web ordering was a mess. Went through to checkout and it said they were closed (they weren’t). Called and placed order but prices now increased by more than 33% and no discount for collection as promised on the website. Food was average quality, what it lacked in taste they made up for with added salt.

We always order from The Village Tandoori if curry is our choice of takeaway. We have always received our delivery in good time and from friendly staff. The food is always lovely and we would highly recommend

Awful service, 2 hours to be delivered and bad curry. We haven’t used for 2 years due to bad experience before, now I remember why we don’t use them. I will Stick to the bayleaf in Grayshot from now on!!!! Positive though Nann bread was nice

Great that they customised the order for vegetarians and delivered it no worries to a hotel but the food was pretty sugary and not spicey enough in my opinion

Tried the Village for the first time tonight. I'm impressed and normally I moan a lot about restaurants. The lamb tikka was beautiful and the garlic chilli chicken was superb- generous chunks of breast meat with a deep red hue from the marinade and tandoor. Sauce was very pleasant with layers of flavour and the punch of garlic and green chilli. Naan was fresh from the oven, delightfully crisp outer with a soft inner. very good takeaway all around.

Recently moved to the area and so far this is the best curry we've had, having tried a few other places in Haslemere. Their Chicken balti is amazing.

Had a couple of takeaways from here and have always found the food tasty.

Absolute joke of a restraunt. Ordered £30 worth of food the week before in which they got the order totally wrong and undercooked the food and when we phoned up to complained theysaid next time we would get a free replacement meal. Called up and was told I had to collect it only and that they would only take of £5 off the order. Even after explaining to them five times that they said they would replace the whole meal for free. And after when asked to have our original orders money back they refused. Joke don't order here.

I have worked the the chattering industry for over 20 years, the worst restaurant I have every has the miss pleasure to deal with. The manager refused to listen to my complaint the food took over an hour to arrive and when it did it was cold. I was call a liar my the manager and the owner. He put the phone down on me. Would not use this resturant if it was the last curry house left. Service was awful had better service from my local fish and chip shop.

We live a few seconds away from Village Tandoori, yet we never tried it before as we have high standards when it comes to Indian food. We’re proper geeks like that! We decided one day to go for it and we weren’t disappointed. The nice man who served us was very quick and lovely. The food was ready in under 20 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. I am a big fan of chicken biriyani and always used to get it from a local Indian restaurant nearby where we used to live. I was a bit nervous to what a new one will taste like cause the one in usual restaurant was heavenly. I was super happy with our decision. This is spot on, and we couldn’t be any closer! Top points! We will be back for some more isolation food 🙃

Not used these before but thought I'd give them a try. Was unsure as the reviews weren't great. Pleasantly surprised when it arrived on time and was delicious. I'd say the best Indian we've had for a while. Highly recommend and I will definitely be using them again. 👌

After three years of one delivery a week, the Village Tandori quoted forty minutes at 5.20 on Saturday afternoon, the delivery arrived at 7.25 lukewarm with items missing, I called to get the missing bread, I was told it would be sent immediately, it never came . After a number of calls over a few days to discuss this situation, I finally spoke to the manager who said that the most they would offer is a 10% refund. This is no way good enough for a loyal, frequent customer.

We love getting a takeaway from The Village. The tikka masala sauce is out of this world, and they’re good to their regulars. Delivery gets very busy on Friday and Saturday nights so we always pop in to collect - food is ready within 30 minutes usually.

They said 1 hour, took 3 hours to deliver - way too late. After chasing multiple times and being told it's on it's way each time, at the final call the manager was really abusive and was swearing over the phone. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Wow! now not gonna sit here and say its the best Indian I've ever had, but these guys are honest good people, had a massive mixup that was my fault and the way they dealt with it was second to none. Now the food! it arrived hot and Tasted good not much more you can ask from a takeaway and if you're you're in the area it's not a bad shout.

The food at this place is great but their delivery service lets them down massively. Tonight we waited 2.5 hours before being told they couldn't deliver. Sorry, this is unacceptable and really awful service. I will not be coming here again! Shame as we were regulars for years...

Will return, not many owners would go out of their way to make amends that alone deserves 5 stars and is how an owner should run a business. The egg noodles are also delicious!

Cant review more than 1 star as my food never turned up.

I walked to here and ordered popadoms, pass day, coconut rice with a nice cold cold beer to wash it down. They were busy but still engaging and nice sofa to wait on with a complimentary Diet Coke offered - nice touch!

I’ve lived in Liphook for five years and been to the village many times for a delicious takeaway. I have to say that the staff are exceptional and the manager is exceedingly friendly and very helpful and informative. You are offered a free soft drink which I think is a nice touch while they prepare your food which always appears to be cooked from fresh. I am very picky about my food and have been critical in the past of other restaurants but this takeaway company is excellent. I’ve never had a bad meal it’s always been very tasty good quality meat, delicious sauces and nicely presented and you always get a lot for the main courses which if you’re hungry is good. I have no hesitation in recommending the village for some really excellent Asian cuisine.

First time ive used the Village and i really liked my meal, i eat lots of curry from good places so always dubious about trying somewhere new, but really impressed, obviously a good chef as loads of spices and flavour and all the sides were great!

Valentine's day so was a little late but the quality the volume and the customer service made up for it 10 fold . Very happy.

This take-away is regularly advertising locally so we thought we would give them a try. The main meals were almost tasteless and supplied with very little meat swimming in thick sauces with little else. We were tremendously disappointed and would never use them again.

20 years ago when we lived in the village,we were regulars at the takeaway,we were passing through ,having moved away some years ago and were delighted to see it still there. Still the same great taste,thanks guys for the memories

Really angry. Ordered £60 worth of food to feed visiting family via the restaurant's own website, having ordered from them via phone once before with no issues. Informed by the website ordering system that it would take 70 mins for delivery. Fine. Ordered at 20:54 and settled in patiently to wait. 22:10 it still wasn't with us so phoned the restaurant to check all was OK (as it wouldn't be the first time ever a website order has failed). After confirming our address, we were told in no uncertain terms that the order was 'on its way'. OK, getting hungry, but fine. Get to 22:39 and still no food, now nearly 2 hours from the original ordering time. Phoned again and spoke to someone who informed us that the order was in fact never received via the website. No apology, but offered to prepare food and deliver in 30 minutes. We refused politely on the grounds of having already waited 2 hours and not wanting to take the risk. Ordered locally instead and had delivery within 20 minutes. Never again.
