Shah Manzil in East Hampshire

Absolutely amazing food, Sha is a lovely hoste, great prices and one of the best curry's I've ever had.

Been a couple of times ,great food and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Had a brilliant takeaway curry, quick service and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the saag aloo, rogan Josh, butter chicken. The garlic naan was fab. Would highly recommend

Cannot understand why more people clearly don’t realise how good the food is. SO much better than the rather more flashy place on the other side of the road where the food is disappointingly bland. The lamb tikka masala is, my husband says, the best he’s ever tasted and my prawn Anari Bakra (really hot and full of flavour) is superb. And the midweek banquet offer is brilliant.

The food was incredible from here. My husband and I went for a spontaneous dinner and are so glad we found this hidden gem. Brilliant food. Friendly staff. We will be eating from here again! Thank you. (Best mint sauce around!)

Food is always good here, but the restaurant is generally underrated probably due to it's better known Indian restaurant across the road. I think the food is better at the Shah, smaller and less busy.

Been using this restaurant for 20 years and the food is just great!! Well done to Shah and his family and the team in the kitchen. If you haven't tried The Shah Manzil then give it a go soon. It's a great traditional Indian and Liss is so lucky to have it in the village.

If you like king prawn korma then go no where else lovely food chicken tikka masala is also fab. Can’t fault our food ty

I have lived in the area for several years and generally use to nearby Madhuban Restaurant when ordering 'Indian' food. The Shah can be easily overlooked as it is set back from the road. However I had heard locally that the Shah Manzil was equally as good and so I tried there last night. I ordered 4 dishes - all chicken based and everyone was happy. In fact I would actually say Shah had the edge on the Madhurban in terms of flavour and certainly price. A Chicken Tikka Masala was £3 cheaper. The whole meal with rices and bread for 2, came to under £50. Even had some free Cobra beers thrown in. It was a Monday, collected at 7.45 pm so quiet all be it with a people eating at a table and others also awaiting a takeaway. Overall recommended - I will certainly be going again.

We dined in on a Monday evening and ordered the lamb chops, rogan ghoss, pilau rice, okra dish and potatoes with feugreek. It was all sooooo filling and delicious. Lovely music and friendly staff who accommodated for all my crazy requests. Will come again 👍

Ordered a takeaway, over 1hr 30mins later still no.order, rang them up n spoke to a very rude person !! Food arrived, chicken tikka was chewy n sauce was cold.... gone down hill, that's our last takeaway from them ! AVOID

Collected a take away this evening, saw the restaurant was empty, so had doubts that the food would be good. Food was great though. Cheaper than places in Petersfield.

Never had a problem eaten here but 1st time in years they got my order wrong it was to spicy only wanted a chicken tikka felt like a vindaloo I rang them up they didn't believe me saying my taste buds have changed probly have covid (which I'm vulnerable and still shielding and never had covid) and they was rude to me. We sorted problem out in the end but still not happy with the situation how it left put me of my food I didn't eat it in the end and never got my chicken tikka I wanted they gave me korma after having the spicey food they tried giving to me 1st of my intentions wasn't to have my money back all I just wanted was what I ordered in first place which i didn't get 😭 really was looking forward to a take away tonight but made me really upset as from a regular customer sending family and friends here for many years and also to collect for me I don't think il be coming back here. They normally great but today wasn't

The restaurant is quiet and the decor not overdone, but the food was very good. Came as a couple a few weeks before and were impressed, so came again meeting up with some old uni friends. We all agreed the food and service was very good and would definitely come again for a quiet evening and to enjoy the food.

Opening time and it was ready - they rang me to enquire when I would like to collect after they recieved my order . Very efficient . Great tasting food, good ingredients, nice people and more importantly - nice and quiet so that you can actually hear people without needing to resort to shouting.

Now this place might not have the most striking decor, but that's part of its charm. And after all - it's great tasting meals you're after without being ripped off. The Shah Manzil is full of character and incredible food. The Sunday night deal is particularly good value. Thoroughly recommended.

Food was mediocre on taste. Portion sizes are really small compared to everywhere else I've ever eaten. Service was incredibly slow, 30 mins wait after starter. Food wasn't very hot, more like luke warm, prob cos of the wait. Not very impressed overall. Toilet is upstairs and not advertised as such so no access for those that may need.

What there was of the food tasted ok! The portion size was unbelievably small. I’ve eaten in many Indian restaurants including the one across the road in Liss and I have never had so little to eat. The king prawn starter had 4 minuscule bits of chopped king prawn, hardly half a king prawn in amount, the Tandoori King prawn main consisted of 3 medium size prawns, I thought it was a joke. My husband had mixed kebab starter which was the tiniest ever! The chicken main dish consisted of 5 baby size chunks of chicken in a little sauce. Poor value for money and over charged as well ! Complained about quantity and the over charge but I was told that it costs so much to buy the things!! Will never go there again. We got a Chinese take away on the way home.

Fantastic curry house! With a huge selection so there's something for everyone! Staff are incredibly polite and friendly and really do make you want to keep going back! Would definitely recommend!

Food is the best in the area a real difference compared to others. Service in the restaurant needs sorting... only go on Saturday evenings if you want to eat inside.

Went to the Shah Manzil in Liss last night with my two oldest school buddies, and we had one the loveliest Indian meals ever. Food is excellent, flavoursome and not over powering; portions are just right and not too much; and the staff are attentive, but not in your face as you find in some places. The Shah Manzil alongside The Wharf in Godalming are going to be our two regular haunts! Seriously, can’t recommend this place enough, I might even take the wife there ! 

Really good food here, if you fancy a nice Indian meal I would highly recommend this place. It is also very popular amongst the locals as well.
