Lovely restaurant, excellent food!

Most consistently amazing yellow fish curry. Only restaurant in the region that serves dishes that you couldn't cook better at home.

Great food, authentic but not limited to the standard dishes. Friendly and efficient service just a bit cold in there when we went.

Such a lovely place! Service was fantastic, food was delicious, (especially the triple cooked beef), music was great! Fully recommend, thank you for a lovely evening.

Price may be a bit higher but totally worth it! Presentation and Thai flavours on the top level. Definitely coming back.

Exceptional flavours presented in a much more refined way than your usual Thai restaurant with excellent friendly service. Every dish we have tried has been amazing, just going to have to come back to try the rest of the menu!

Had the most delicious meal last night - chilli ginger fish stir fry / chicken & cashews / chicken stir fry with a portion of coconut rice & jasmine rice. The rice, in particular, the coconut rice, was amazing & so was the chilli ginger fish stir fry. The staff & venue were lovely too. We’ll definitely be back!!

Myself and my partner went to the restaurant this Saturday evening . It is one of the best thai restaurants in the South East of England the taste and presentation of food first class . My partner is thai and she did not once complain about the food at all and trust me that's a first . Would highly recommend to come and enjoy the food and flavours here .

Food is always authentic, delicious, and generous every single time - served by brilliant wait staff who are always very friendly! Loved that I could up the spiciness of the dishes to suit my personal taste. Also pleasantly surprised by their yummy cocktail menu (I normally go for the wine list). Consistently my go-to restaurant when eating out in Alton.

Not your standard Thai fare but amazing authentic food. Selection is limited as all cooked fresh to order. The food is so delicious and spiciness can be adapted to suit. I had the triple cooked beef which was amazing. Bursting with flavour and melt in the mouth. Would definitely come again

It's quiet on a Saturday night but the food is so delicious and seems very fresh! Bought our 7 year old for dinner and they were so accommodating to her needs! Thank you!

We've been to this place before but felt that the consistently excellent quality of traditional Thai food needed a review. The welcome and service were very good and the choices on the menu were extensive and make for difficult but very fulfilling experience! Food may take a little while to come but its all freshly prepared. One of the best Thai experiences outside of London but I still don't understand why there aren't more people in here!

A warm welcome with delicious food. If you're looking for somewhere for dinner, look no further. I'd recommend the Thai basil quorn if you're a veggie. My other half really enjoyed the sea food yellow curry. Both the jasmine and the coconut rice's we're fab. Thank you

The first thing to say is that the service and attention are excellent and the bar area is a really welcoming touch. The food is really good but quite pricey. I enjoyed the starter and main I had but there was something missing to make it excellent for me. Also the wine list was missing a Gewurztraminer, with a couple of the white wines not the type that accentuates Thai food in my opinion.

They sometimes offer take away but not every night, it depends how busy they are. Take out would take 30 mins to prepare. Better off not doing take out.

A delightful surprise in Alton. I never expected such vibrant, delicious, and unique Thai food in Alton! Having been to many Thai restaurants with the same standard menu of green Thai curry and pad Thai, Thai Boutique was a true delight. There’s a welcoming seating area as you come in, and a very friendly welcome the moment you arrive. We had a drink here before being seated. I had the king prawns to start but also tried the chicken satay — both were absolutely delicious. My main course was something special. An incredible sauce that was both sweet and tangy and satisfied all of the senses, and, a first for me, charcoal prawns on top of a sea bass fillet. The charcoal prawns were absolutely phenomenal — if you were to only have one thing here I’d recommend these! Aside from the food, the staff went out of their way to make our dinner wonderful. Small things like the jug of water always being full, to the beaming smiles, and explanations of the food and the backstory of the restaurant were all greatly appreciated. When we are next visiting we will be sure to return to Thai Boutique. It’s a real unexpected gem.

Disappointed at paying £16.20 for a Thai green curry, plus £3 for rice and the chicken was cheap thigh meat. Not value for money.

Update 6th May 2023. Returned last night as a family. Without any reservations, the food was fantastic. Organic Rioja was excellent too. Thank you, we enjoyed our meal last night. We will be back. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we are going back. You have to when the chef is Thai.

Was visiting the area and saw the great reviews so we thought we would give it a try Couldn't believe how good the food was, really different than the other Thai restaurants I have visited with a menu that everything sounded amazing You can tell the ingredients are super fresh and everything is cooked from scratch, no corners cut here If you are in the area you should definitely give this place a try

Went on Saturday night, for the first time. The restaurant space was large, with spaced out tables and lacked any atmosphere. It was brightly lit and very cold. It took us 10 mins to be brave enough to take our coats off. Although it was Saturday night, there were only 2 other tables occupied - I know a sign of the cost of living crisis. We shared chicken satay to start, which was lovely. I had beef massaman curry, which on the menu was indicated as 1* for heat. I asked for it to be made a little hotter and it was perfect. Absolutely delicious. My friend had green chicken curry, which was 2*. It was so hot, so was barely able to eat any of it. Very disappointed. I would expect 2* to have a little kick, but not to blow your head off. Although I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I’m afraid I wouldn’t go back, more for the fact of the environment of the restaurant.

How lucky is Alton to have this amazing Restaurant. We visited on Tuesday evening and the service and food were amazing. The food is presented with great care and attention and obviously the quality of the ingredients is second to none. Food like this doesn’t just happen, a lot of thought, time and effort has produced amazing cuisine. We could have been in Thailand, very authentic, traditional, amazing Thai food. Can’t wait to visit again.

Superb food & honestly the best Thai meal I’ve ever had. Our food was so fresh and tasty. We opted for the seafood spring rolls to share for a starter and I had the triple cooked beef and my work colleague had the duck. Absolutely superb, we’ll be back.

Arrived and asked for a table for two. Waiter expressed great doubt that they could accommodate us- even though the restaurant was 3/4 empty- this was apparently because they had one party of 10 people in! He checked with the chef who agreed that there was space. Another quirk- the drinks menu is a normal written menu but to view the food, you must do it online- there are no paper menus. What you do if you don’t have a smartphone was not explained. It is also the first Thai restaurant I have ever been to that does not sell prawn crackers. The food however was excellent. Experience let down by the general weirdness of the place!

Decided to try the Thai Boutique for the first time last night and it was fantastic. The service was great and the food really delicious. Loved the new chicken with green peppercorns. The food tasted really fresh and the portions were just the right size. Will definitely return and the bonus was they take Amex!

Dinner with hubby and what a treat. The staff were wonderfully helpful. Meals arrived quickly. The cocktails were amazing. I recommend the Mai Tai absolutely delish. A quality restaurant in the heart of town. Yes I'm coming back!

Really extraordinary Thai experience.Warm welcome ,friendly relaxed service on arrival.The food was absolutely exceptional.We plumped for Satay (real chicken) covered in a generous peanutty, chilli sauce .The pork parcels were soft and unctuous and the slow beef curry left us wanting more as did the three fish curry .Thanks and see you again

Been looking forward to coming here for a while and felt very disappointed with the food, my beef curry was okay but tasted more Turkish than Thai and was a bit over cooked, my chicken skewers were nice and the cocktail was nice, but my partners food was a miss the prawns were bland and the duck curry was not enjoyable, really disappointed hopefully it was just an off night because the reviews seem amazing which made me travel 40 minutes to this restaurant but the staff were very friendly.

Phenomenal Thai food in an unexpected location. Amazingly friendly service, very attentive and customer focused with a constant smile. The green curry chicken was absolutely spot on, and every table was extremely happy with their food. I did not expect this great a Thai meal in Alton, but glad I tried this place, will be back often!

Conflicted on this. The food was excellent. Limited menu but when it finally arrived it was delicious. However the restaurant was cold, acoustics terrible, very dated decor and the service was slow and confusing. Oh and it isn’t cheap in comparison to other Thai restaurants...

This place is excellent. The food was delicious, absolutely on point with flavours. I would highly recommend their signature dish, triple cooked beef. The service was wonderful, they were attentive, whilst not being overbearing. Alex, one of the staff, was on top of everything, making a smooth evening. Alex also makes a mean (good) cocktail. Additionally the bathroom was so clean and fresh. A well deserved 5 stars, a top quality restaurant and one of the best in Alton.

This restaurant has been found guilty of pure excellence! Their food has committed a terrible crime.... tastiness beyond belief! Investigators claim they have never witnessed anything so delicious in their entire careers. An eyewitness stated that their tiger king prawn curry was so tasty, they cried out in disbelief. This is the best restaurant I've ever been to, I think. Everything about it is so wonderful.

Lovely food, charming waitress, have lived in Thailand & food tasted authentic & fresh. Dimmer lighting & maybe candles & a few well placed screens to create atmosphere & ambience would be only suggestion to improve.

It was our first visit to the Thai Boutique and we will be back, the staff are so friendly and Nathan the manager is always smiling and wants to ensure you had a positive dining experience in his restaurant. Well the food.. it's just amazing, I recommend the chicken satay, and the triple beef (the beef just melts in your mouth), and the red duck curries. Although all of it looks divine and it is also presented beautifully, his wife knows her stuff when cooking Thai food. The drinks are reasonably priced, and they do some good cocktails. My advice would be to go and try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Probably the nicest Thai food I have ever had, everything as superb but the triple cooked beef curry was on another level - so good. As well as the food the staff are awesome, our waitress made sure we were looked after and the man that brought the food out to us was always so happy and liked a chat, we think he was the manager? Overall a great experience and we will be back (a lot).
