As always, a delicious offering! I was working all day yesterday so they kindly plated me up a serving of their beef stew. Just what I needed after a long days work! And it was only about £6, so a bargain!

We have stopped here a couple of times for breakfast. It is a smashing little cafe , popular with locals and passing trade. It is dog friendly with an offer of a sausage for our dog. The staff were all very welcoming and the breakfast was quick and freshly cooked. All the ingredients were tasty with the sausages top class from a local butcher

Fantastic food. Friendly service!! All homemade. And beautifully tasty. It is always a pleasure to eat here. I was going to have one of their homemade chunky cookies afterwards, but I’m at the point where you’re going to have to roll me out of the building! Tasty beef chilli, with chips and rice, cheesy garlic bread, cheese for the chilli, and sour cream. £10. Can’t ask for better than that.

Lovely, traditional little cafe serving excellent food. The staff are very friendly & doggies are welcome. Our hotel was serving a limited breakfast as their kitchen was closed for refurbishment. We popped over the road & had a yummy breakfast Butty & steaming mug of tea, brilliant! It gets pretty busy (probably as it’s so yummy!) but there didn’t seem to ever be much of a wait. Would highly recommend 👍

I stopped at the Pantry for the first time after I was riding my motor bike in the area, and was extremely pleased with the meal , namely Hunters Chicken in a pannini with chips and salad. What a tasty meal indeed for a very moderate cost. The staff were very friendly and polite and obviously enjoyed their job. Thank you very much

We were traveling North from Newtown to Cheshire and stopped at The Village Pantry from some brunch. We ordered full breakfasts and tea from the really pleasant friendly staff - a short wait - everything was being made fresh for us so we didn't mind at all. The place is spotless and the wifi code available meant we could have a quick check on work emails which was handy. We really enjoyed our breakfast, very tasty, filling and good value. On the way home I realised my bangle had fallen off - when I called The Village Pantry they had found it and were so glad I'd called and offered to post it to me, They could not have been more helpful or kind. I will definitely make a point of stopping again when passing.

It was the first time here yet I live locally. My friend and I went about 10.30 in the morning and there was 1 table left. Some of the customers stay at the pub opposite and eat here. The staff were friendly and the cafe is spotless. The food is fresh, piping hot and cooked how you like.(I prefare my bacon crispy and sausages welldone)..

Brilliant little village cafe, perfect for a quick bite after doing the Heritage Area. We got lucky as it closes at 2pm. Lovely fresh ham salad and chips with great coffee x 2 for less than £12. Really friendly and helpful staff gave us some tips on places to visit. Definitely recommend it.

This cafe feels like our home away from home. We have been coming here every June, for 3 years, while on holiday in Wales. The food is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the ladies who own and work in the cafe. Good food, great staff = perfect start to any day.

We thought we would try this little café based on the reviews we had read, and we are glad we did. The staff were very pleasant, the choice on the menu is good and we really enjoyed our food. It is only open until 2 p.m. but so it seems are the pubs in the village also (then some places open again in the evening). Would recommend if you want café style food. It's a nice little village with interesting places to visit, and lots of walks to take, especially if you are interested in geology or rock climbing.

Really nice little café serving a good tasty breakfast with really friendly staff. but unfortunately the smoke in the air made our eyes sting, the extractor isn't sufficient to remove the cooking fumes from the air.

When we arrived at this cafe it was empty but within 15 minutes it was full of locals, a very good sign. My daughter and myself had the full English breakfast. The quality of the ingredients was very good and my daughter was offered an alternative to the mushrooms that she doesn’t like. A very pleasant end to our break at Llanymynech!

This is my third visit this week and already they seem to know me. Good food and drinks at very reasonable prices. Will always call in here when I am in the area. Parking is across the road in a public car park and is only a matter of a few walking paces away. A good flow of customers whom I assume are local. Very friendly welcome to all who come through the door.

More than just a cafe, me and my partner love visiting this place. The breakfasts are affordable but made with top quality meats, the sasuages are out of this world and thick cut bacon! Service fantastic, warm friendly atmosphere. We love taking home a treat for later in the day too - all homemade, my favourite are the cheesecakes! Their menu is extensive too with homemade pies, sandwiches and something for everyone. Have visited over 10 times in the past year and never disappointed!

We found ourselves in Llanymynech mid walk at lunchtime so wandered to the crossroads in search of a bite to eat. We found the village pantry and were delighted with our meal. A pantry mega burger and a pantry mega chicken burger were washed down with copious amounts of tea and all for £12! Amazing quality and value for money. Great service from the lovely ladies too. Highly recommended!

I was walking the Offa's Dyke path and after spending a cold wet night, I arrived in the village of Llanymynech, cold, wet, hungry and out of sorts. The proprietress welcomed my muddy self warmly. I ordered a large pot of tea and full English breakfast. Wonderfully delicious and the hospitality was icing on the cake. I left with a new disposition and ready to tackle the next 10 miles! Highly Recommended!!

Sorry guys but you really need to use your imagination a bit more. The tuna sale myself and hubby ordered was terrible. Iceberg lettuce plonked in the middle of what looked like a dessert bow. The a large dollop of tuna mayonnaise on top, and then large slivers of cucumber and tomato arranged round the side to look like a flower (it didnt work) and then a sliced boiled egg as well. No carrots, peppers, onions, things you would expect in a salad. And it was supposed to be crusty bread? soggy baguette again sliced. Think the "chef" might have used the same slicer for the cucumber. Then I asked for two sausage sandwiches to go. Got home and they were on brown bread which I hate! Sorry folks but if you want more custom you are going to have to up your game and not just rely on the "full breakfast" brigade. You've lost my custom. Won't be recommending you anytime soon.

We have been visiting The Drover's for around 25 years. As a full Family initially, now just the two of us. Peter and his Team never disappoint. The welcome is always friendly and we do enjoy a modest pre Lunch drink in the cosy snug out the back. The views of the river are spectacular. It was a bit chilly to be sitting outside on the balcony but one brave chap did take his coffee out there! The food, well, you can't call it 'just Sunday Lunch! It's a foodie treat! Plenty of beautifully cooked food. Always hot and tasty. The quality is certainly there as well. Cannot fault anything and the Sweets are to die for! The atmosphere is invariably pleasant. A good mixture of Walkers, Holiday makers and Locals. Thanks so much for everything over the years Peter. We're already in the process of booking next year's trip to Wales, so keep an eye out for an email soon!

Our first time here this morning. From the minute we walked in we was welcomed and seated. All staff were welcoming. Myself and fiancé ordered a full English, food was lovely not one fault and clear plates. I had a cappuccino which was tasty and perfect. We were approached and asked if everything was okay during our meal. We paid with cash and left a tip as we were very pleased. We will definitely be attending again on our next stay.

Great place to stay. A friend and I cycled to the area and stayed here overnight. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. The room is a generous size with all the facilities you would want, and you have access to an outside deck area with lounge chairs and table which is ideal on a sunny day. The breakfast was also lovely. The location was great as it’s a 5 min walk from 2 good pubs and a post office/shop

Mock timber frame manor house retaining much of its character and charm. No lifts. Breakfast was choose your own pre-packed cereals with a cooked option. Dinner was a mini-taster with delicious options which we watched cooked on TV cameras. The room was clean but dated with an en-suit crammed in. High windows restricted light and views of extensive gardens and river. The staff were friendly and willing but lacked service training. Guests our age do not wish to be called 'you guys'.
