Lovely place for brunch. Friendly welcome and fresh, well-cooked food. Perfect when travelling through on the way from Hastings to Worthing, as right on A259.

I bought a couple of sandwiches and coffee which were absolutely delicious.I felt really bad afterwards as when I placed my order I moaned about the high prices.The server did say that they only use fresh local produce hence why the higher price; I didn’t really believe it but boy was I wrong.For ex you could tell from the colour of the eggs that they’re from a farm,rather than the bog standard ones in the supermarket.I will definitely go back there again when I’m in the area

I got scones to take away, they were delicious. Check times and order ahead if you can. The cafe was welcoming and felt very safe.

A very friendly little cafe. Food is great. Welcome is lovely and the staff/owners are friendly and always ready for a chat and a chuckle. Breakfasts are delicious and even though i am not vegetarian i love the veggie breakfast. Hot chocolate is good too and always hot

I had seen the glowing reviews for this cafe and popped in for breakfast. The breakfasts are firmly set. As I don't drink tea or coffee I asked for an alternative. Nothing available, apart from, presumably, tap. Neither could I opt out of disliked food which would go to waste. So I went for a panini and a separate drink. More expensive than the breakfast, but okay. Not a good experience. Most cafes are happy to mix and match, some fall over backwards to accommodate, but clearly this is all too much effort for the chef or owner. The result is a lost customer.

These people are soooooo lovely, they really care about getting your food right and the service is just perfect. They use really good ingredients and cook it well. Plenty of tables, lots of choices and it’s great for a weekend treat.

Love the service and friendliness here. They do the best bacon butty and really listen to how you want it. Nice coffee. Spotlessly clean.

I ve been here for a large breakfast and a coffee. Food and drink were really good, the staff were really nice and friendly, the place is lovely and welcoming. It's a shame I don't live nearby but I ll visit again anytime I can. Highly recommended!

All round good breakfast nice cuppa tea and the milkshake are very good👍🏻 dirty bobs scored it a 8 out of 10 I’m going 7.5 both said we could have done with the other half of the tomato on are plate or is that us just being a bit greedy 🤔

On a house hunting trip recently, we were need of a break and refreshments ,popped into village cafe , really good service ,meal was great and freshly cooked .. Chatted to owner on local area and was given some good advice on what a really nice a village it was too set up home ....

Saturday morning breakfast, lovely produce and good value. My husband had the large normal breakfast, and then they went the extra mile to cook mine perfectly as I am anaphylactic and needed it cooked away from my allergens.. It would be nice if they had alternative milk like oat or almond, but actually I am so pleased with their attention and service, I’m happy.

Great food and good service BUT in this time of a near cash free society - people are using their debit cards more and more so to be charged 25p was a bit of a shock - have actually been told it’s now illegal - not sure on that one but I certainly will think twice before going again.

We often pop down to the cafe for breakfast. Great service, lots of choice and very welcoming. They use good quality ingredients and cook it to your liking.

What a lovely experience today at the village cafe. The breakfast was cooked to perfection with the eggs done exactly right. The staff were friendly and service was excellent. A lovely place to eat - extensive menu for all tastes.

Nice quality breakfast, good sausage and bacon, plus free range eggs which was lovely. A nice warm welcome and good service.

4 of us popped in for breakfast. We had 4 different meals and all of them were well cooked, tasty and well presented. The coffee was good as well.

Heard this cafe was under new ownership so called in for a Breakfast. Lovely Breakfast, particularly good Sausages and Bacon really tasty. Nice clean comfortable surroundings. Really friendly service and well presented food. Very reasonably priced too. A great breakfast and a good experience.

We visited this cafe on bank holiday Monday for breakfast before heading to the beach at cooden. It had a lovely fresh feel to it with the sun beaming in through the front windows. I was really impressed with the child friendly atmosphere with a sofa and a small selection of toys to keep kids entertained whilst they waited for their food.

Ate here a couple of times when in the area...good food friendly staff...food price is moderate. Place is clean and tidy and food wait is good...would recommend...there is competition for cafes in the area.

Having been going in here every week or two for the past couple of yeses and every time both the food and service have been great.

Nice breakfast, which came with a coffee and toast. It was lovely apart from the toast was already buttered which I wasn’t keen on and it came with coffee which I didn’t really enjoy. In future I would have a different coffee and ask for not butter on my toast.

Stopped on the off chance of a good breakfast. Not at all disappointed. Poached eggs cooked to perfection and delicious coffee. My Husband had a regular breakfast, only problem in that sausages were not delivered to the cafe so off the menu. All food freshly cooked with friendly service.

Returning briefly to my old manor and stomping ground of many years after two years away, the Village Café doesn't disappoint. Soup and a scone for a fiver, no question the soup creamy vegetable and broccoli & stilton are very much home made, thick and tasty. Scones choice of Cheese or Fruit again definitely home made and nice pot of tea too. Service good, prices very reasonable in this village business next to the Little Common roundabout on the A259 when heading west.

Popped in before a long drive home to Birmingham on a Sunday morning.

Visité hoy aquí con mi madre para el almuerzo, habíamos comido aquí siempre tener una hamburguesa y les de amor. Hoy me siento deben haber sido tener un mal día, de nuevo pedimos la hamburguesa que debe venir con cebollas y guarnición de ensalada, también pedimos un plato de patatas fritas para compartir. Las patatas fritas, hamburguesas, que vinieron antes de nuestra era no es lo que queríamos, pero está bien. Luego las hamburguesas salió, no era el típico estándar y estaban un poco grasiento además vinieron sin cebollas y sin ensalada. Lo señalamos a la camarera y pidió disculpas luego el cocinero se acercó y se ofreció a llevarnos la cebolla y hacer un plato de ensalada separada, ya que ya había comenzado a comer y eran bastante empujado por tiempo nos negamos, pero me quedé impresionado con la disculpa y ofrecer. Nos pareció que ya estaba terminado nuestro almuerzo y fui a pagar, cuando llegamos a la otra hasta cocinar se disculpó con nosotros acerca de no tener la cebolla y la ensalada y la camarera de nuevo nos ofreció una disculpa y me dijo que iba a tomar una libra en cada uno de las hamburguesas. Nos quedamos impresionados de escuchar esta ya que realmente no era más que indiquen puesto quejándose de la hamburguesa que anunciaban con estos elementos y nunca llegaron. Cómo manejaron esta estaba por encima y más allá de lo que me esperaba. El servicio al cliente que era excepcional y de muchas otras empresas podrían aprender de ellos. Bueno, la hamburguesa no era como bueno hoy, pero aún así estaba bien y otras veces genial. Nos trataron de una manera era genial y sin duda volveré y lo recomiendo a cualquiera

Stopped here for breakfast with my family at this village cafe. The food was plentiful and very tasty. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it too. Staff were warm and welcoming. I had to leave with Cheese scones as this were very tempting. Thank you

standards remain high, breakfasts have got better with addition of fresh ground black pepper. don't go early when the mushrooms...

Living across the road to this little cafe is a dream! The breakfasts are the best around, freshly cooked to order, staff attentive and friendly, quick service, quality product, well done and thankyou, just a shame we are moving away, i will and have recommended to everyone

This is a fabulous Cafe in the beautiful village of Little Common, which has recently been refurbished and now also has a small private room if you want a cosy small party with a group of friends or family. Very helpful staff and the food is freshly served and very tasty indeed. They serve lunches, as well as afternoon tea and cakes. Well worth a try!

I have been treating myself to breakfasts in Bexhill for years and put simply this place is the best, full English or sarnies all good. And lunch food is pretty good as well!

Another fab breakfast, a real asset too the village, staff always friendly, food always piping hot and tastes great. Coffee is lovely and fresh and nothing is too much, would highly recommend.

We would like to thank Emma and her team at the Village Cafe for a delightful evening. The cafe held a private dinner for myself and a group of friends. We had a three course Christmas meal, with a choice of homemade starters, main course and puddings, followed by coffee and mints. Emma happily provided a vegetarian option. The cafe had a very welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and efficient. The food was excellent, arrived piping hot and well presented. There were crackers and games on the table, and even jugs of water (which can be unusual!) I think our group of friends all felt that the evening was a great success, and we will definitely be holding another dinner party here.

Friendly staff, well priced, amazing food. Lovely atmosphere - best breakfast in Bexhill. Happily visiting there whenever I can.

Visited this cafe just before lunch and it was quite busy,but could not believe how many tables are cramed in.In order to drink our coffee without hitting the people behind us we had to put the flaps down on the table and sit sidewards to the table and if more than one person was paying they were near enough treading on us.Although tea and coffee were nice maybe rethink comfort instead of pound signs.

Had breakfast there now a few times.....fast friendly service and a hearty British breakfast.Good value.......ladies there all very friendly.

Saturday morning breakfast - in at opening time at 8am (so managed to park virtually outside - otherwise a short walk to nearest car park). Friendly welcome as chairs and tables being sorted. Ordered the 'Large' breakfast again - 2 x sausage, 2 x bacon, 2 x fried eggs, baked beans, mushrooms and black pudding - with wholemeal toast and mug on tea - £7. Excellent food all cooked to perfection. Standards certainly maintained since my last breakfast visit. Great value.

I had the pleasure of visiting on a Sunday morning on recommendation of a friend, and was not disappointed the breakfast was nice and fresh and cooked to my liking, the place is a little small so do recommend booking but would certainly go back again.

Having moved to the area recently I had very little contact at all here and I was feeling a little lonely. A lovely lady greeted me and made me feel very welcome. Coming from a city background anc also a background in catering and hosting, I must say the cafe was extremely professional and modern while fitting in well with the old vilage feel.Very impressed, I shall be returning.

Myself and friends often come to the Cafe when we're all back from Uni. Although food is brilliant, service can be hit and miss, 9/10 times being the latter even when empty. The most recent visit was on a Friday afternoon with the Cafe full but not as heaving as it has been in the past. We all ordered our drinks and food at the same time, I had a full english and my two friends had burgers. The waitress asked if the burgers were to come with salad to which both replied with yes. Before the waitress left my friend asked for some chips to go with his burger. Not long later our food arrived minus chips, a little after that our drinks (weird order but not a massive issue). After all starting to eat our waitress came over to check how things were - my friend inquired as to where his chips were to which she replied "Oh the burgers don't come with chips, would you like some?" He declined as we were almost through our meals.We asked for Burgers with salad, but only received a piece of cucumber and tomato. half way through eating, a gentleman behind us, who we overheard asked for the same burger, received a burger with salad + coleslaw. he may well have asked for it but it was not made clear to us that salad equals a small bit of cucumber.

Popped in around 11.30 today for a coffee with a friend as we were meeting in Little Common. I was a bit peckish so ordered the cheese and onion toastie, which arrived with coleslaw and a generous portion of salad. All very tasty! My friend had a fruit scone and a hot chocolate which she said was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cafe was clean and tidy. It was my first visit here but I would certainly go again when in the area.

I had read some good reviews for this little restaurant but never visited before today. It is actually not very little at all - a bit of a Tardis once you go inside ! Nice friendly welcome and settled down for the 'large' breakfast. I think there was actually a larger version but cannot see why you would want one as 2 (excellent and tasty) sausages, 2 slices bacon, black pudding, beans, 2 fried eggs, tomato and mushrooms with a slice of granary toast more than enough to start the weekend. All cooked to perfection - really tasty and noticeably free of extraneous grease. Accompanied by a large mug of fresh coffee - brilliant. Good value too. It is a very long time since I had such a tasty breakfast in Bexhill (area). I will be back.

I love this place because they love my little dog! sadly but understandably many places don't allow dogs, that leaves many of us eating outside in winter, or simply not at all. But this lovely place allows me to bring in our 2 small behaved dogs, so we can enjoy a coffee, cake, breakfast etc in comfort and warmth. The ladies have big smiles and are always welcoming to us. The food is always hot and fresh and I would recommend to anyone with or without a dog. Thank you I cant praise you enough for your fantastic hospitality!!

Nice food, very good value, very wide choice, all home made, clean and fresh. Staff not terribly friendly on Sunday in fact don't bother going on Sunday they won't serve u after 1pm even though they are open till 2! Such a pity.

Living in little common, we visit regularly to the village cafe. The staff are very friendly and never mind when I trundle in with my pram. The kids menu is good and the cakes are lovely. Only single downside is there is no card machine (and ATMs in LC tend to go on the blink lots!!)

Could be a very nice little cafe, if the staff didnt stand outside smoking (with their aprons still on) and come in and DO NOT wash their hands! Its unhygienic and the kitchen looks dirty.

Visited the village cafe and had a gorgeous breakfast two free range eggs sausage bacon mushrooms tomatoes toast and a tea all included in the standard price.Cooked and presented very well good friendly staff and the interior is superior to most run of the mill cafes.Beautiful artwork on the walls which is available to purchase so i found out which makes for a very enjoyable place at any time of day.Cant wait to visit again.

We have often been in the Village cafe for breakfast and coffee which we love, so decided to give the Friday evening menu a go. We ordered two steak and onion baquettes, which arrived with homemade coleslaw and salad. There is a limited but adequate drinks menu. The food was lovely, well presented and really good value. The lady who was running the cafe was helpful and looked after everybody well. We would definitely come in the evening again.

Had breakfast here a few times when popping in to the village to shop. Good breakfast at good price. Good choice on menu. Cosy surroundings, food hot and well cooked. Is nice and clean. Also does lunches. Staff friendly and accommodating to dietary requirements. Worth a visit when shopping in Little Common village.

I am new to the area and on the hunt for a good regular breakfast haunt. Popped into the Village Cafe and ordered the large full English. Delicious, good size portion and excellent value. Free range eggs, good quality sausage etc. Staff were friendly and efficient. Fridays will now be Village Cafe day for me!

We had breakfast here yesterday despite the review I read about food being throw down at customers. Greta position for a Cafe and a nice variety of food including scones cake and wine! Our breakfast was very nice and so were the staff. A couple of specific requests were complied with with a smile and non of our food was airbourne when it arrived. Will definitely go again.

I have just eaten breakfast with my family at the village cafe, what can I say? He service was quick and efficient, the staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were of good quality and we'll cooked! Good value for money. I will definitely be returning for more, I'm glad there is finally a good breakfast in Bexhill!

We've popped in to this cafe on numerous occasions during house hunting trips. Very friendly supervisor, lovely food and at reasonable prices. We'll be back.

Called for breakfast in my home village of Little Common whilst on holiday. Thought the food was great so went back the next day. Parts of our order didn't come even though they were listed on the menu. When we asked for them we were made to feel as if we were being awkward and the plate was literally thrown onto the table. This wasn't just for one item as the whole family came for breakfast and there were bits missing from each order. Very rude service.

Nice clean place on the roundabout in Little Common, good simple food - reasonable breakfast, nice omelette, good coffee. However had to wait 45 mins for breakfast which is not acceptable. Once service sorted, surely they'll learn from their mistakes? it'd be worth popping in. (an apology would have been nice too, when the wait was brought to their attention, rather than an 'explanation' of how busy they are or how they lost the order etc)

You will be hard pressed to beat the cuisine at this little gem of a café. If you are ever in the area make sure you visit. The selection is varied and cooked just right. The staff were very welcoming and only to pleased to provide an excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Highly recommended!!!

A very enjoyable evening had by all. Home cooking at its best with a fabulous choice of Caribbean food. Starter was ackee and fish. Superb! Jerk chicken, a tasty beef dish, sweet potato, rice, plantain, all delicious for the main course. The key lime pie was scrummy. Well worth a visit in the pretty village of Little Common.

I went to visit a friend who lives in Little Common and we had a walk around the shops,all lovely varied and interesting. were just going to have a cuppa coffee but I was seduced by the lovely bacon and eggs so decided to both have the full english breakfast.,although it was 2 oclock.!well what a treat, it was cooked by Nicole a lovely Scottish lass.The service was great on piping hot plates nice toast and a good size mug of tea. My friend and I both worked before we retired in a high end Hotel, so we both know about good food and good service,and this was as good as it gets. PS. For someone who is quite picky about toilets that was also to a very high standard. We will return soon.

Went to the first of the monthly themed evenings last night which this month was Tapas £9.99 for 9 dishes and take your own wine with free corkage. If you wanted dessert it was £2.50 and oh boy it was worth every penny!What a great night it was! The food all home cooked was delicious, the atmosphere great and the service very attentive! This place is different and quirky but make sure you book early as tables soon get fully booked!Well done Andrea Maria and the girls for a superb evening!

This cafe, which is situated by the roundabout at Little Common, provides delicious home-made food. On this occasion, we had coffee,which is Illy, a lovely Italian coffee. I had a delicious tea cake and my friend could not resist the bread and butter pudding. He liked it so much, he bought some more to take home with him. The lunches are lovely and a party of six is going shortly to sample their excellent food. This cafe has a nice ambience with very friendly staff.
