The Victory in Eastleigh

Excellent Sunday lunch here today. They have a new chef who is cooking everything fresh, all the vegetables were freshly cooked to order and the taste difference is amazing. The meats were beautifully cooked and the homemade Yorkshire puddings are huge. Add in the homemade cauliflower cheese with smoked apple cheese and you know you're in for a treat! Very friendly place, great service and yummy food, we will definitely be back. Thanks guys. X

We visited The Victory inn and had a few drinks and a meal. We were served by the delightful Kelly who was super friendly and helpful. The food was really good as well. I had rump steak with peppercorn sauce and my partner had steak fajitas. Both were cooked perfectly and were truly delicious.

Came for a roast today, it was really great. Piping hot, nice variety of veg, couldn’t fault anything. Staff are also great! Definitely would recommend a visit. You won’t be disappointed.

We were in the area on a sailing weekend with friends. We dined here on Sunday evening. A lovely menu was available. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I tried one of the homemade pies and it was absolutely delicious, served with mashed potato & a lovely selection of greens & gravy. There was a lovely atmosphere in this very traditional pub.Very pleased we visited.

This is my favourite pub in the world and also my local (its 20 steps from my front door) that said it’s the best pub around, has a fantastic atmosphere, amazing owners and fab food. The past two Thursdays me and my partner have popped over for dinner and it’s been perfect, the food is fantastic and only surpassed by the service, especially the service received from Dan Marshall, he is a perfect host and provides excellent service. We were working at another venue in the village and popped in here for a meal. Wow! As we approached Cheryl asked us if we needed help. She showed us to a table and was chatting to us as we walked. What a warm and friendly welcome! The food was stunning and the service impeccable despite it being busy. Cheryl came back and continued to talk with us. A great asset to the pub/restaurant. We'll be back!

We popped into the Victory somewhat spontaneously on a Sunday afternoon, four adults, three dogs, and a baby. We asked if it would be OK bringing in the dogs and the staff were more than happy to accommodate us all for Sunday lunch even though we had not booked. We were made to feel so welcome and staff and customers alike made a real fuss over the dogs! Everybody was so friendly. The staff were absolutely great, a real credit to this super friendly and welcoming pub. We each had a Sunday roast and the food was lovely. I had roast beef. It was delicious. Not the first time I’ve had a Sunday roast at the Victory but my first one in a while. Already looking forward to the next one. Big thank you to the staff for being so friendly and welcoming. Brilliant pub.

Visited here on weds 6th with my partner, our newborn my two neices and my parents. This pub is a nice looking REAL Traditional pub, and in our opinion the best pub/restaurant in the area. Staff were great the food prices were great and affordable and the food is good quality real homemade food and perfect portions.

We visited The Victory for Sunday lunch. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. Not amazing, but worth the money. I had the steak pie. Very tasty but I’d have loved mash with it instead of chips. Also the gravy wasn’t homemade. The fish and chips and the roasts looked good. The scampi was fine - not the best ever but a good hearty portion. Service was ok - a waitress who was new and I can’t knock her lack of knowledge as it was her first day, but she would benefit from some customer service training. We didn’t feel terribly well looked after. Drinks were fine but no ice and slice in diet cokes - always feels a bit disappointing.

My husband and I visited the victory Inn on 15th February for an early dinner. The warm welcome and the speedy bar service - including the delights from the extensive gin menu to the excellent dinner and the delicious food. I had the steak and ale pie and my partner had spaghetti and meat balls. Both meals were outstanding. The staff were both courteous and polite. They serve Guinness on tap which was fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the village.

Had a table booked for 6pm with my family including a 2 and 5 year old. We were placed at at the far end of the bar.... food was not worth the money, every other word we heard was f*!k from the locals they were not youngsters but fully grown men. Spoke with the landlady and she seems nothing will happen. This place should come with a WARNING.

In Lower Hamble this is a lovely charecter pub. as a group we really enjoyed our visit here and the staff were great. Would visit for a pint if passing.

Recently moved into the area and frankly spoilt for choice. The Victory Inn provides great beer, great food and friendly at a reasonable price. Well worth a visit.

I joined friends for lunch here. Big mistake. There was not a clean chair to sit on. Every chair was shiny with black grease. The tables were sticky, and the cutlery was dirty.

Whilst spending a few days in Hamble, we ate here on two occasions early evening.

As soon as you walk you are greated in a very 90s local pub manner which I miss alit you feel at home at the victory, I ate I had the crispy chilli beef which was fantastic,

Best Sunday roast ever. Five veg, tasty gravy. Went back during week and had slow cooked pork belly......crackling was amazing. A friendly, relaxed local type pub with great service with a smile. Every meal was perfect and a refreshing change from usual pub grub.
