Came here for Sunday lunch. Lovely old pub with a beautiful decor and ambience. Staff were superb. Ordered Sunday roasts and they came very promptly. Our waitress, Aditi looked after us very well - nothing was too much trouble. Food was excellent - very generous portions - especially the lamb shoulder. They gave us a doggy bag to take home! This is a great discovery - and very handy for Paddington station. Will definitely be back!!

Had an excellent Sunday lunch prior to getting train from Paddington. Good service and pleasant ambience despite being busy! Best beef in a Sunday lunch I’ve had for ages!

A friendly pub in a quiet area near Paddington Station with great food. We enjoyed the pie and the shepherds pie. The sticky toffee pudding was yummy and the cheese was very generous. We'll be back!

I stayed at the Victoria, Paddington yesterday upon arrival and it was wonderful. Classic pub, lovingly furnished, friendly service, good conversations with the innkeepers and other guests. Food was great (only had one small dish, which unfortunately I didn't take a photo of). Absolute recommendation. They also ask about allergies directly so that nothing can go wrong during preparation. 👌🏻

Planned a once in a lifetime 5 week roadtrip to Southern Italy. On our way back, we routed a layover in London to experience this hot spot with such history and stellar reviews. Had 8 pm reservations and was offered a tiny table squashed into a corner where we'd barely fit. They accommodated our wishes to sit at a better, more ample, spaced table. Only to be told 5 minutes after being seated that we had to move to the table we already disclosed was too tiny. Haven't experienced this rudeness ever. Removed ourselves and had dinner at Sawyer's Arms. An unexpected glitch in a outstanding Italian adventure. Not an outstanding experience at the Victoria unfortunately. Could have been handled differently.

Superb traditional London Pub ...Simple

Our second attempt at Sunday Roast at this classic bar in London, having looked around for a place around Paddington and Hyde Park to dine in ☺️ ⏰ came by without a reservation around 12, and was glad to see there’s plenty of seats on the ground level - the first floor is for folks either reservation, and it’s significantly busier as compared to the peace we had on the ground level. We were asked to sit anywhere we wanted on the ground level, and to send our order at the counter when we are ready - which works for us since we wanted to split the bill. Food were served rather promptly, both the chicken and pork belly were decent; and definitely a meal that we find hard to solo for the huge portion! We also concluded we didn’t love Sunday Roasts, but definitely enjoyed the tradition and the experience of having it 👍🏻

Cannot raie the food as we didn't eat but it was a nice pub good service and nice beer

Fine old Victorian pub full of original atmosphere between Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Pleasantly quiet. We enjoyed their calves’ liver and fish and chips, accompanied by Guinness. The food was £37.50 for two.

On the 27th and 28th we went to have some beers with my friend, well it wasn't 1, it was 3 beers per night. Recommended and we will return. I don't know English but we knew how to understand each other.

Friendly staff, service is a bit delayed but good in a sense that they were flexible to prepare mocktails for us which was not on the original menu. Good option to spend a few hours near Paddington station

Went for a pint and a pub lunch. Had the pan-fried salmon special. Was excellent. Friendly service and pleasant, welcoming atmosphere.

Really nice building and looks a nice pub. Busy. Few serving staff, long waits at the bar and a bit of a "who shouts loudest" free for all. Tried to get a second beer but staff just looked straight through me then served themselves a drink and walked off to talk with their mates.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, classy English pub. Super crowded when we visited; lucky to get a seat.

Decent service, decent food and decent atmosphere. All in all a really nice experience. The venue didn't absolutely wow me though as they've tried to pack a little too many tables into their venue, and navigating the pub was a little like Tetris.

Beautiful old and cozy Fullers pub with a decent pub grub menu. Fish n chips is recommended. Haddock was perfectly cooked and chips are crispy. Decent pint of London Pride as you might expect. As mentioned, it is cozy so expect it to fill up really quickly!

Disappointing. Came because of the great reviews but experience was disappointing. They were out of some of the menu offerings. My husband and I decided in that case to share a meal but we were never brought an extra plate so my husband had the menu and I chose to eat elsewhere.

I’ve been a frequent customer for around 4 years and a repeat pattern has been the dismantling of a seemingly excellent menu and removal of favourite dishes. The latest is a change of the shepherds pie - a spectacularly brilliant dish which has changed to a mediocre version where there’s hardly any lamb and 90% potato with barely a scrap of cheese on top. I’ve sampled the latter twice this week and on the first occasion (with a group of friends) on Weds last it was also overcooked and dried out. What’s going on ?

Brilliant pub, fantastic atmosphere & staff were friendly & attentive. Sat outside one night as super busy. Went back a second night, grabbed an indoor table. Surroundings plush & cosy. Well done!

Proper pub with well looked after ales and good staff. Avoid all the wanna be pubs near Paddington Station and venture here. Not tried the food but smells good and menu looks good.

A charming old pub, with a brilliant Sunday roast, even all the vegetables were well cooked and seasoned. Would certainly recommend a visit on a Sunday for the roasts. Friendly team and gorgeous interior made it all a bit more special.

Ambience designed to look like an old and rustic pub. Due to the location, it is also popular with families. Had two beers there. The selection is extensive. Would go again

Visited the Victoria for a Sunday dinner with the family. Really interesting old pub with a very lively atmosphere. They serve an excellent traditional roast - my wife had the lamb and thought it was one of the best she'd had. My fish and chips was top notch too, staff were lovely and very attentive. Recommended

Lovely braised beef pie, washed down with the excellent hophead. I will return for another great lunch.

Nice enough pub inside, unfortunately though it was some of the worst food I've ordered for a long time. The burgers beef and fried chicken (specials menu) weren't worth half the money we were charged. For a collective price of £35.50 I'd expect good quality food, served nicely but this wasn't the case. The roasts looked decent though.

Very nice neighborhood pub in Bayswater. A short walk from Paddington Station in a quieter part of the area. Friendly staff, good service and usual Fullers standards of quality. Lovely exterior and interior. Does get busy but it's worth seeking out and has a good atmosphere. Only negative- last time I visited some selfish customers were blocking the entire pavement outside the pub with their tables and chairs. Can't be legal and it forced pedestrians to walk on the busy road. Other than that it's usually a nice pub to visit.

The service was like something out of Fawlty Towers and John Cleese. Nice triple cooked chips. This Fullers pub seems to be a tourist trap . Pretentious to call this area Tyburnia. The Victoria pub needs to sort out one member of staff who is both ludicrous and unprofessional. Get a grip ! The Victoria should be a great pub ! The historic Victoria pub is a Grade 2 listed building , in a very nice area . ISBN 978 - 1-85249 -334 - 9 . CAMRA is the Campaign For Real Ale. The counter is no doubt original to 1864. The Upstairs Theatre Bar has ornate fittings imported from the Gaiety Theatre about 1958. The Victoria pub has outside tables , and is near Paddington station , Marble Arch and Hyde Park.

The service in this pub was so bad and unprofessional. Bit of a tourist trap. In a nice area of London , but so pretentious to call it Tyburnia. Give me a break.

Lovely old fashioned pub very close to Paddington station. Visited on a Sunday evening and it was very busy. Food was good but the service a bit slow, maybe because it was so busy. Highly recommend a visit.

Our dinner at The Victoria was superb! Absolutely lovely atmosphere, quiet room upstairs (we ate in the library), delicious food. The service was great. For a quick 4 day trip to London we googled where to have a Sunday roast in Paddington. Everyone suggested here and it’s clear why! My husband had the roast beef, I had the vegetarian Wellington. Both were fantastic! Good selection of wines & non-alcohol beers. If ever we’re back in London we will definitely pop in for dinner & a pint!

The food is amazing, as usual. I got a shepherds pie, husband got bangers and mash. Hot, fast, and delicious!

Beautiful welcoming place. We stopped in for a few pints on our way back to the hotel and thought this place was absolutely lovely. The outside was nice place to relax and the inside is decorated beautifully. Can’t wait to go back.

Loved the food, atmosphere, and bar downstairs! The food was delicious! Both my mother and I enjoyed our meals. What sour the mood was a passive aggressive comment made by one of the female server/bartenders at our dinner reservation upstairs about my mom request for a new drink. I thought it was really rude. Also, these two younger guys next to us never got water even though they asked for it for what felt like 30 times and didn’t get it till the basically the end of their meal. A little disappointed, because the reviews were so good and I enjoyed the food.

Family group called in for a drink on a hot August afternoon and found a table outdoors . The drinks were good so we stayed on and ordered Sunday roast dinners: superb! It’s not often you get a meal as tasty as the ones you make at home , but these were. The meats were all tender and the wonderful selection of vegetables tasted as if fresh cooked : well done , the chefs at the Victoria . Five star.

Stunning pub, very beautiful with original Victorian fixtures including a water spout on the bar I've not seen elsewhere. Gorgeous dining areas upstairs including a library, and they do a vegan ravioli that sounds lovely. Worth going out of your way for.

Absolutely recommended! We went on Saturday evening to try their fish and chips and on Sunday lunchtime for their Sunday Roast! Excellent dishes we were really satisfied. An extra note for their attention to my food intolerance, with a lot of patience they helped me choose my dish. Very nice and welcoming location, both the tables outside and the tables inside. If you want to sit upstairs, I recommend making a reservation.

Apart from the lovely decor, it's like being in the USA with the number of stateside clientele 🤣 It's a nice boozer to be fair, I think most people have just landed in London. Good food, nice selection of drinks and pretty good service.

You will not find cuisine better anywhere. Historic place in typical British style where the environment, for a foreigner, seems like something out of a film. Interesting cuisine, tasty typical dishes with some twists, good drinks menu and very careful choice of beers. Prices from London, expect nothing less.

This is our favourite pub in London. Lively atmosphere on the main floor, quiet for dinner upstairs. We love the delicious meals and desserts. Wish we were there now.

Charming pub in the heart of Paddington with a warm atmosphere. We booked a table in the Theatre Room upstairs for a Sunday roast (lamb shoulder and turkey breast), it completely hit the spot. Perfect to grab a pint on a Winter afternoon.

I stumbled upon The Victoria my first time in London when staying in the area. I was with my mom and the staff and customers were all very friendly and nice. The food and drinks were amazing. Loved everything about this place so we went again when we came back to London a few years later, and plan on coming again when I return to London!

We went out into the rain. In 8 minutes we were soaked to the skin, but we enjoyed it.

Great spot in London/Paddington, with so much history, very charming. The food was really good, so I'm giving it five stars, but the service was one of the slowest we have ever had. That being said, I felt sorry for the waitstaff who tried their hardest with steep, narrow steps to serve us upstairs and it was so busy that night. The fish and chips were delicious, and the bar was a true hot spot!

Stayed nearby and found this lovely place to watch the football before a concert at Hyde Park. The food looked really good too.

This is a real British Pub on the first floor with an upstairs dining room. We ate upstairs twice. The room, itself, is worth the visit. The food is very good. We tried traditional fish and chips, a meat pie, wings, salads and desserts. The service was relaxed but efficient. We enjoyed each meal!

A great English pub with high quality wholesome food, authentic decor, great service and cheerful welcome. We went for lunch and dinner on the recommendation of our hotel… Norfolk Towers… and it didn’t disappoint. It was full of locals and visitors and so the vibe was good and enjoyable.

Wow! What a fantastic pub. Was trying to recommend a fabulous London pub to others and this ticks every box. Excellent downstairs main bar area including seating outside, perfect for sunny days on a pretty quiet street despite the area. Upstairs is the amazing old world library room with restaurant seating. Visited here in June 2024, staff were wonderful too!

Fabulous English pub! Happening downstairs pub with all the atmosphere and elegant upstairs dining rooms. Food was amazing with all the traditional meals and several twists. Service was great. Off the beaten path and yet easy to get too. Highly recommend!!

Went there with my wife for a drink before a medical appointment. What a fantastic pub environment both inside and out. In particular the guiness was perfect every time. Best guinness I have ever had. Fantastic landlord and staff. Travelled to London ((from Wales) with my wife who had a medical appointment and this was a great highlight of our time there, thank you. Spent eight hours in this gorgeous pub for my birthday having lunch and staying for dinner. It's busy but cosy, and has a fantastic atmosphere. It's on a quiet street but not far from Paddington Station. The seating is comfy, the food was amazing (I had shepherds pie for lunch which was devine and sharing platters for tea) and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It was the perfect day and I'm really glad to have found this place. If you're in Paddington find this place, you won't regret it.

Great pub in a convenient but not too busy area. Came on a Sunday night and, though it was busy, we didn’t have to wait long for a table to open up. Standard “order at the bar and food comes to your table” deal. My wife and I each had a different kind of Sunday roast and they were both very tasty. Selection of beers and ciders on tap was large and excellent. Prices are reasonable, staff is nice, ambiance is fun (not rowdy). I’d gladly recommend it for a relaxed pint or a meal.
