Wow! Been a few times now and have not been let down. Really REALLY good food. Reasonably priced (especially for the quality). £55 for two starters, two mains and two drinks. One thing I will say, which is always a big plus for my girlfriend and I, they are really dog friendly and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. Unfortunately, this is not always the case now days. Will be a regular thing for us from now on. The only negative if I am being super critical is the parking can be a problem.

The food was lovely, but it was like sitting in an ice box in the dining room whilst eating our meal - no heating whatsoever, even though the dining room had radiators but not switched on, there was a very small fire in room next door which you wouldn't feel the benefit of unless you were sitting directly in front of it. I was extremely disappointed for my birthday lunch. BTW corridor to toilet was lovely and warm, the radiators were scoricho!? I doubt I'll visit again for food until summertime as way too cold! I can't give 0 stars!

Excellent food, friendly staff, what I would call a proper pub atmosphere. The only glitch was that my pudding turned up as Sticky Toffee Pudding rather than the Chocolate Brownie that I thought I ordered but it turned out that my wife had gone to the bar and decided not to order what I had chosen 😂 The pudding I had was gluten free and was delicious, they had a selection of GF desserts, just ask. Some of the main courses were also GF but these change day to day and apparently during the evening as I watched things being added and removed from the board.

Called in to find something to eat. Very busy place, thankfully we arrived just in time to find a table. Ordered drinks and food, generic prices, not too bad. So very dissapointed this was a second visit in a week for me. 1st visit Tues 12th Dec table booked for 12pm. We didn't get our mains till 1.20 we hadn't pre ordered so I was hopeful my second visit would be better as we had pre ordered our meals- how wrong I was! We arrived Tues 19th Dec our table was booked for 4.30 the table wasn't ready, not a problem there was plenty of room downstairs, it was pretty quiet. Our starters didn't arrive until 5.25 then the mains started arriving 6.45pm ! we had to chase the deserts at 7.20 by this time a few people had left ! When we asked why the delay, the female who had earlier been behind the bar was very rude and condescending. Her reply: -We should have informed them if we were in a rush and they may have been able to ask the chef to prioritise our order ??? - We need to understand that we were not the only people there that night and that there were people downstairs that ordered food too ! - That all food is cooked fresh to order and so takes time ! - 3 hours was not an unacceptable length of time ! At this point I would like to point out that the Turkey dinner was microwaved veg and frozen potato's the turkey, pigs in blankets and stuffing were certainly not cooked fresh to order ! There was 27 of us, and over £600 spent. The food was of a very poor standard the staff rude and obnoxious. The only good thing about the experience was the young male waiting staff, they were pleasant courteous and apologetic to us (something that was lacking from the two females ) and these young men were an absolute credit to you ! Don't take bookings for groups if you can't handle them.

Visited for a work Christmas meal, I was aware another team at work had visited the week before and had waited an hour and a half for food, but as we had pre-ordered we thought our experience would be a lot better. Unfortunately it wasn’t, when we arrived our table wasn’t ready - this wasn’t a big issue as the pub was empty at that point so plenty of space for us to sit down whilst we waited. Our table was booked for 4:30 and we didn’t get our starters until about 5:30, with the mains arriving approx 6:15pm. By 7:20pm our Desserts still hadn’t arrived and by this point people had already had to leave without having the desserts they had paid for! Disappointingly, when we asked how long the desserts were going to take the female server was very rude, suggested that 3 hours was more than reasonable to wait for a meal and that we should have let them know if we were in a rush! No apologies were made at all. The food itself was just average. I’m pretty sure the roast potatoes were frozen Aunt Bessie roast potatoes and the veg wasn’t fresh either. It would have made sense for the kitchen to have been prepared and serve our food when we got there when the rest of the pub was empty as they didn’t appear to cope well or deliver a good service at all. Unfortunately the last time I visited The Victoria with a friend and also found the service to be extremely slow. Such a shame it’s gone downhill as I have visited alot with friends and family over the last 15+ years. Tips for management - train your staff to have better customer service skills and don’t take on too much custom that you can’t handle

Went in for a quick pint and I have to say that I've never seen such bad customer service in all my life wow. No greeting just a weird awkward glare like I was some kind of high profile criminal or something. As I was looking for what beer they had... no recommendation as to what ale to recommend or what is popular... just a weird glare. Never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Remember losing a job because I didn't ask the customer if they wanted a bag..... yet they allow someone to have zero social skills to be at the forefront on a business. The staff need to remember that they not there only to pull pints.. they also need to make the customer feel welcome and positive and want to return.... Judging by there was barely anyone there gives me the conclusion that this customer service issue persists alot more. Apart from ales that are £5 each when retrospectively should be the cheapest option from a lager for instance. The customer service is SHOCKING...

Wow! Food at The Victoria never fails to impress. We are fortunate to live nearby so we visit often, and the superb Sunday roasts are not only lip smackingly delicious, but they are consistently so. While I was visiting friends in the area they recommended we go to this pub for a meal as they have been on a regular basis and thought it was lovely.. They booked a table for 7 people. When we arrived the rude bar staff told us the table number and that we were in the middle room. We had to squeeze by people who were eating to get to the table by the window. The table wasn't ready. There was lots of dirty glasses on the table. Waited for someone to clear the glasses for a few minutes. Next ordering a meal was a nightmare. Took it in turns to get a sore neck trying to read the menu at the blackboard ( handwriting is bad). While ordering 3 of us couldn't get the meals that we wanted. Picked something else. Food was ok. Didn't complain because it spoils the atmosphere. This seems to be ok for our friends as they rate the pub. I personally didn"t find it relaxing at all. The ordering is a nightmare and I hated being squished in. Even the bar staff find it difficult to get to the back tables in the middle room.

Visited Saturday 18th March 2023 early evening. Not going to lie, I was a little worse for wear by the time I got here so this review probably won't be the best. The pub itself is pretty big and quiet imposing, after entering the door on the right leads to a small room, essentially the 'bar' side, the door on the left leads to the 'lounge' side which is essentially the restaurant. The bar side was very quiet; however, the restaurant side was packed, it seems to be more of a restaurant than a traditional pub. Having said that, there were plenty of people just having a drink. Beer choice is pretty good with some decent cask alongside keg, lager, spirits, wine, soft drinks etc. Staff were friendly and polite, we didn't eat but the food looked great. We'll be back next time we're in Beeston and we'll probably eat there. Edit: Revisited on Monday 17th July for something to eat, had sausage and mash....it was delicious.

The restaurant has an everchanging menu of great food from all around the world and includes an extensive selection for those with specific dietary requirements. I have been here regularly and I have only had 1 not-so-great experience on a very busy saturday evening (which is to be expected), and it hasn't put me off! The only criticism I have of the food is that perhaps the chefs tend to cater to a milder palate than I would like when it comes to spicy or bolder flavours.

Having not visited The Victoria for some time, we were delighted to find it very much the same. A traditional Free House pub which maintains its appearance. The food is excellent and everyone in our group thought that the food might easily stand up in a fine dining restaurant. We followed this with a portion of their home made treacle sponge which was the most 'homemade' I have ever eaten in a pub. Nice atmosphere too, quiet over the lunchtime but the notices tell of a varied list of activities in the evenings. Music and theatrical events being among these. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality food at a fair price.

Quality, Friendly and Accessible. This is one of Beestons hidden Gems. It has been in Beeston for many years and is certainly up there with Beestons best.

It was my first time here, and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. A wide choice of beers, a great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food looked amazing, I will visit again and try the food next time
