Always something going on there.

Had a lovely evening with family .lovely place . amazing atmosphere .Staff were fab .haven't been out for ages .we had a great night .next time we will have a meal .The meals looked so delicious and reasonably priced too 😁

First time here and not disappointed one bit food is absolutely gorgeous and staff is well mannerd definitely recommend popping in for food and a drink food is cheaply priced also.

Had an excellent time watching the rugby on Saturday 3rd Feb. Staff very welcoming great curry at halftime good selection of beers

The local of a great friend, been a couple of times now for food a drinks. Great pub menu, excellent quality food & service..as well as great value...👍friendly atmosphere.. Now going to bring a work group for Christmas fayre..

First time here. Excellent food at good prices. Free desert with meal when we went which was lush. It was cheesecake with caramel sauce and cream. Was going to go another night but put off by all the smokers standing outside the front, sorry.

Asked staff if it was OK to have meals with my assistant dog, they said yes in bar area, they saw the dog was well behaved and just laid down next to us, so the staff said its noisy in bar area you can go into the lounge to eat, so we did, the dog as usual lay quietly and doesn't shed fur plus we have had a table in the far corner The food was excellent and the staff were great, We were then most disappointed to find the landlady had told the staff it's fine to finish the meal and drinks but couldn't return with the dog which was a great shame as we use to visit the pub many years ago and I have just moved to the area. As we were leaving I was told that seems unfair by a regular customer and that a woman sat far from us complained about the dog being there. Nice pub, great food, lovely staff, disappointing outcome

Went to a family birthday party there in April 2023. Really nice venue since it has been refurbished recently. Catering good and enjoyed food they prepared. Also drink prices not expensive. Nice friendly staff. Would recommend venue.

Lovely traditional pub. Good for the kids in the lounge and even better for some adult peace in the bar. All sports on show with multiple tvs and different channels. Very good pub

Great place, to host any event or to just have a meal with friends and family or even just a few drinks, the staff are all super friendly and the food is always good too, it's not to expensive either. Great local pub.

A fab local pub serving delicious food with a great choice of traditional, gluten free and vegan. Chef and bar team very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is lovely. Big beer garden to with a play area for kids. My only fault is why I didn’t discover this pub years ago! Highly recommend 😃

Unassuming from the outside but warm and friendly on the inside. We stopped on our way home from tough mudder and needed a cheeky pint. We were welcomed with friendly bar staff and reasonable prices! The pub looked clean and the outdoor seating area was spacious with plenty of amenities and TV facilities for sports viewing.

Enjoyable atmosphere, nice beer garden, outside TV, children's play area - that's outside. Inside you have bar and a lounge - both spacious enough and food is nice.

Food was great for the price and the staff were friendly. Needed to order at the bar and pay when ordering. Ran out of some of the drinks we wanted but plenty of other options.

Been a difficult week with my Dad having had a heart attack, so we opted for the Sunday lunch takeaway. We weren’t disappointed. My partner had the chicken and I had the pork. There was plenty of veg, roast and mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and plenty of gravy. Excellent value for money, will definitely use again

Liked it. Didnt stay long enough to sample the food sadly but the menu looked good and the service and atmosphere were good

Great vegetarian Sunday dinner, my fave place to come to with my family. Also if you did not want a Sunday dinner you can choose from the general menu, which is very helpful for fussy eating teenagers!!

We had a fab Xmas dinner at The Vic. Lovely atmosphere. Not rushed. Seven of us for lunch . Meals were lovely and hot and excellent service.

We had food which was good pub grub but make sure your hungry the portion sizes are big....felt bad for leaving so much food

Will never visit again went on my birthday for a meal food was ok but the owners daughter was freely wandering around and decided to take up camp on our table this was ok until the food arrived and still she stayed at our table sitting on the window ledge with her feet on the table next to my wife’s plate absolutely disgusting won’t be going back

Been here for drinks and food quite a few times and today was first time i tried the vege sunday dinner and it didnt disappoint,very nice and hubby enjoyed his pork dinner.

We visited here as away fans before the FA Cup game. The place was nice, friendly and welcoming. We parked just around the corner, 15 mins walk to the stadium. We enjoyed out food and drinks here. The place has good seating facilities. Nice and cosy. Toilets were nice and clean.

At first when you look at the outside your thinking, normal old pub where you will find the local bar flies! Was I wrong the food was amazing and the woman who served me was lovely. Food was quite quick and really nice will be going here again. Part me is thinking not to put to much of a good review as it may get extremely busy there, but they deserve it 🤩

Busy on a Friday evening but didn’t feel very welcoming or relaxing for new visitors. Tables worn and dirty but food did look fresh.

Me and my girlfriend came here for a quick bit of grub because our house was being decorated. The food and service was awesome and we stumbled upon the quiz night which was a right laugh! We’ll definitely be coming back 😃

Friendly and Relaxed place. Really good menu of inexpensive but well portioned meals. The Sunday Lunch is a particularly good. Nearly always a couple of specials on offer to give variety if your a frequent visitor. Good selection of beers and spirits etc which are well kept and served. Very friendly staff who are just as happy if you order a coffee or a large round. They also have a nice beer garden with shaded and sunny tables plus a playground for young childrens entertainment.

I love this pub. The lady behind the bar is very friendly and helpful, the food is great and brilliant value and there is an area for the children to play in the garden. What more could a mum want? They could do with some Dr Pepper but no pub is perfect.

Went here to meet friends before going for a meal. Beer good, great place, staff efficient and friendly. There is a beer garden out back but unfortunately it was closed so had to have a cigarette at front, no tables and no ashtrays

Came here for meal with hubby and our kids for my birthday,we all enjoyed our meals and didnt have to wait long,nice quiet atmosphere and will definately call back again.

Food was excellent and at a very reasonable price. Very friendly staff and prompt service. The only thing a can criticise is you have to stand out the front for a cigarette which is a public path, the garden was closed.

Not been in for a few yrs. Refurb looks ok, place was clean & tidy. Haven't tried the food although I've heard good reviews. We were up on a Saturday night which had entertainment on in the form if karaoke which was good.

Dropped in here on the off chance as we were in the area. Toilets are immaculate, as was the entire pub! We chose to have the All Day Brunch and it was fantastic! Beautifully presented, plenty of it and all of it delicious - and only £10 for the two of us. Perfect. We'll l definitely be calling in again.

Fairly quiet when visiting to have lunch on a Saturday and an offer of two meals for £10, but only from a small selection of your usual. Didn't seem to have a vegetarian selection.

When on Saturday 25th march 2017 evening, and the staff were very polite and helpful there were 8 of us eating and the food was excellent and served hot and all together, the young girl that served us was very helpful and very pleasant to us all, A VERY BIG THANK YOU, to all the staff at the Vic.

The Victoria is easily recognisable by the beautiful building in which is housed and is quite a good place for a few drinks. The prices are low and the staff is very friendly and along with the decor you're feeling more in somebody's house that in an actual pub. I've been to a karaoke night as well, which wasn't the best mostly because it's the place was closing at 11 PM.

Cracking pub not large but friendly

My sister has just moved to the area and this is her 'local'! Really good choice on the menu and the specials board. The food was freshly cooked to order and came in good time. The decor and atmosphere of the pub was first class, with the 'facilities' some of the best I have visited, in a pub, in years! With friendly staff this pub is going to be a firm favourite!

Great family friendly pub with lounge and garden food reasonable and excellent best breakfast in Newport just what the area needed
