I came here with friends for Sunday dinner and had the most amazing meal with fantastic service. I had the trio of meats, all of which were faultless. The portions were very generous and included everything you would hope to see on a Sunday dinner - all the trimmings, not just some of them. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Our table had a good view of the kitchen and we could see that Gary the chef runs a very tight ship - he clearly enjoys cooking, takes great pride in his work which is why the result was so good. Thanks again Gary! Special mention also to Emma who served us throughout the afternoon - polite, professional and service with a smile. Will definitely be back for more soon!

My review is not food related but about the price of drinks. I had a large glass of Sauvignon blanc and asked for soda water to top it up but as the glass was small there was very little room to add it so I said I would have a small glass of soda water on the side. My husband chose a pint of lager. This came to whopping £14.20. I had exactly the same drinks in Bank along the road for £11.10. Absolute rip off. We are now no longer going to frequent this pub.

Booked the 'back room' function room for a family get together for 30 people. The authentic pizzas were amazing and plentiful for all guests and the staff were fantastic with their service! Really couldn't recommend this place enough

We love popping in here for a few drinks and normally go for a sandwich for lunch as they’re great value. Went for beef this time and loaded bolognese fries. Super tasty! Thoroughly enjoyed.

I always fancied going in here. It always looked so cosy and was often very busy, when I drove past. I got the feeling it had been taken over, but can’t be certain, because the bicycle wasn’t outside. Maybe someone had stolen it! On arrival, I asked for a beer shandy. There were mostly lagers on the pumps. The lady behind the bar said ‘they are all beers’ (She obviously, didn’t have a clue, because beer is an ale, not a lager)! I had an IPA shandy. My husband had Stella Artois. My IPA shandy had a funny taste - not clean and even his Stella didn’t taste as nice as the lager in Germany, where we had been recently). I had a chicken and bacon Caesar salad and a burger with bacon and cheese and my husband had chicken Parmo. The chicken and Caesar salad was quite nice. It wasn’t massive, but kind of filled me up. I gave 3/4 of the burger to the dog, the burger had definitely been deep fried, because it had a crispy skin! The breadcrumbs on my husband‘s parmo, looked incredibly orange; (but I don’t suppose this was helped by a Red Leicester cheese that was melted over the top). The skinny fries looked awful - straight out of the freezer and tasteless. For £40, I didn't think it was worth it really. I wouldn’t return.

Dirty place and unclean. Look at the rotisserie for a start.. the partly painted wall adjacent, with a dirty bucket alongside.Dogs yelping food on the floor , dirty tables.Service awful and downright terrible.Toilets nasty. To leave all the cutlery on the floor on the carpet whilst replenishing the drawers is unacceptable.Food poor. The food hygiene inspectors need to look at this place closely.Awful, would never recommend to anyone.

We visited on a friday evening around 6ish. The bar was quite full of very loud sweary blokes so we proceeded into the only half full restaurant and sat at a table in the corner. Shortly after sitting down a waiter appeared and rather aggressively asked if we had booked? We said no, so he told he we couldn't sit there as the table was booked, not that there were any notices on the table to suggest this table was reserved, nor were there any signs anywhere suggesting that some tables might not be available. The gentleman then continued his with his aggressive tone saying he had no tables spare but we could sit in the bar if we wanted (gee how kind!). We agreed only to discover the only table was next to said group of loud sweary blokes. We took the table and ordered the food. Fortunately large sweary bloke group left about 15 mins later as the food arrived. I ordered the pork with crackling and whilst it was nice, it was nothing special, and certainly not as melt in our mouth as at some places I've tried. I also had it with home cooked chips, about ten of them in total give or take, way fewer than I would have expected. These chips were a bit hard on the inside and could have done with a few more mins. During our meal the restaurant area (remember, the one that was fully booked) remained half full and one couple even walked straight in and sat down where we had originally sat without the aggressive waiter asking if they'd booked. Said waiter re-approached us in the bar area during our meal and asked us begrudgingly if we wanted to move tables. As we'd just started eating there seemed little point in doing so, so we declined, we did however ask him if the pub had Wi Fi, to which we got a very blunt "yes", nothing else however, like say, advice on the actual password required. All in all then the food was OK, the waiter was awful, the girl who brought the food over was nice. Put it all together and you get a distinctly average score and a pub that I can't imagine ever being a rush to return to.

Another enjoyable visit to The Baltic today. We also had some lovely food in the cafe - much improved since our last visit. Trout bagel, tuna toasties, blondie and coffees were all lovely and fresh at very reasonable price. Great helpful and friendly staff and service in comfortable airy space. We look fwd to returning soon x

Good value for money, tasty food. Got the fish and chips, and the chips where big chunky home cooked ones, and everthing was cooked really well. Got curry and bread and butter on the side, only negative was that the butter was rock solid, so a bit hard to spread on my bread. Seems a popular place, as most tables where reserved, this was a sunday tho, and there was a carvery on, but they manged to give us a table still, its good that they still serve a massive menu along side the carvery, so you have alot of other options if you dont fancy a dinner. Staff our friendly and theres a nice beer garden out the back. Highly recomend!.

While my daughter shopped I popped in here for an oat milk latte and was served by a woman who to be honest looked like she didn’t want to be there. I paid for my drink and waited patiently, the lady who was making the drink said it was ready. I politely asked if it was the oat milk latte and the woman who had taken my order barked at me that’s not what you ordered. I explained I ordered an oat latte and she snapped at me, that’s not what you asked for with a very stern look. I explained I don’t drink milk and I wouldn’t have asked for anything other than what I ordered. The lady then demanded another 60p from me which I proceeded to pay. I could see the woman who was making the drink was rather embarrassed and said it was ok to me. I won’t be returning here to be spoken too like that and she needs to learn some manner and put a smile on her face. Extremely disappointed .

We ate there prior to the Steve Hackett concert. We had pre booked the Brassiere. The food was excellent. But what made the experience so special were the incredible staff. I can't praise them highly enough. they were so polite, friendly, and attentive. I will definitely be back. The concert was brilliant as well.
