First visit today and really enjoyed it. Lovely atmosphere mid afternoon on a Friday. Fantastic food, great service. Will be going back soon.

Amazing food, always delicious. Momos are worth trying, so fresh! I've been back numerous times and the food always delivers. The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the staff and owners are lovely.

Absolutely beautiful food and chai. First time here and can honestly say it’s one of the best places I’ve been to in Leicester, very authentic and original. Kabita the server not only waited on the table , she also cooked the food also. What an absolute asset the business has in a member of staff like that . We will be back x

Perfect menu, executed amazingly, brilliant personal service. Unreal quality and portion sizes for the cost. Value for money. Best Dosa and Momos I’ve had outside of India. Couldn’t recommend more.

Found this place whilst visiting Leicester uni. Interesting menu of indo/Nepali + western fusion cusine. Yummy sandwiches & momos which were very spicy. Friendly service & lots of other eating options in the neighbourhood. Worth a try!

No se recibe acuse de recibo y se llama para confirmar la reserva antes de ir. A la llegada falta de bienvenida o reconocimiento de nuestro aniversario y no mostró interés en nosotros o compromiso, para mi sorpresa Menú muy limitado a rollos y derretidos, ninguna explicación de especiales en pizarra negra. Tomó más de 45 minutos antes de ser servido y luego cuando la esposa se quejó de que su plato estaba frío el chef / cocinero era arrogante y se negó a reconocer o escucharla y la fobbed fuera diciendo que lo ha hecho. pedimos que su plato se hiciera picante, pero salió soso. Pedí a la camarera del bar principal que luego amablemente calentó el plato de mi esposa. Debe ser considerado para parte de un pub crawl, no es un lugar para comer. No creo que volvamos a ir allí ni hagamos recomendaciones

Love the romantic lighting and decoration, and the cheeky pavement sign. The service was warm and efficient. One suggestion though, the diffusion or incense, I’m not sure what it is, at the Buddha statue can be too strong at times and the smoke can smell like cigarettes. It may not be too healthy for some people.

We visited the Verandah for the first time for lunch today, and our first impression as walking through the door was being greeted by the delicious smell of spices and authentic cooking. We chose the KOLKATA Rolls, one lamb and one paneer, the bread for the wrap/roll was freshly cooked authentic light flat bread, really enjoyed the food. I had Masala Chai which complimented the experience perfectly... Definitely worth a visit if your in the area ❤️

I no longer live in Clarendon Park and this is just the kind of place that makes me so want to move back! Really good home cooked Mumbai melts served with chawki chips were very both tasty and filling. My friends enjoyed their coffees whilst I had a great mojito with a spicy Indian twist. And our well behaved dog was made very welcome too. Good for people watching too if you get the front tables.

First time here. Cappuccino was excellent. My friend had a paneer dosa which she enjoyed immensely. Will be back soon for some lunch.

Firstly the food is very tasty. Jas has done an incredible job in keeping the menu versatile. The dosa and the toasties are a must. The cocktails are made adroitly with the unique spirits.. Would highly recommend coming here.

We had my sons 21st party here in and it was fabulous. Jas and his team were amazing hosts and managed all of our bespoke food, drink and other requests. Our friends have all said that service, drinks (especially the cocktails) and the food were delicious. We ourselves thought the food was so tasty and plentiful. This is such a hip, relaxing venue and the unique decor fits in perfectly with the the Verandah’s themes. We come here now at any possible opportunity and I’d highly recommend this venue for the amazing customer service, menu and drinks. Jas has made this bar a very unique and very special venue on Queens Road and I’d highly recommend anyone to check the Verandah bar ASAP.

Really, really good. The Lucknowi is the best toastie and the chips with mustard (I forget which one they are) are the best side but have whatever, it's all good.

Popped in for a drink whilst enjoying an evening walk along Queens Road. Excellent service and a very enjoyable gin and tonic.

Had a lovely meal here today before my daughters graduation. Delicious food and we were made to feel very welcome. Would 100% recommend.

Came here for lunch with a friend, they were only serving melts for food which we didn't mind. It wasn't busy as there was only another couple in there. We had to wait 40 minutes for our Mumbai melt & the punjabi melt , only for one of the orders to be wrong. I had to wait another 10 minutes for my order to come out. My friend enjoyed her mumbai melt. I wasnt overly keen on the punjabi melt. It was bland and had no flavour to it. The fries were nice. I won't be visiting back in a hurry.

My partner from leicester recommended this place. Tried the mumbai sandwich (vegan) with a masala chai (oat milk). Mumbai Sandwich was crispy yet fluffy inside, salty yet a hint of spice. Served with amazing seasoned chips. definitely a restaurant I’m coming back to when i’m next in Leicester. I did get a takeaway but the staff (i believe the owner) was super nice!

Lovely place. Nice food. Friendly staff. I celebrated my birthday here and must say, I had a very lovely experience! Food wise, I had the lamb melts with sweet potatoes. Food was perfect, no complaints. I'll update with photos next time as need to try the Calcutta Rolls because they looked amazing!

Amazing food and an amazing place. I love it here, I recommend their old fashioned and toastie.

A limited menu, but what they do, they do exceptionally well. It's just toasties, wraps and chips, but they all have a superb Indian twist that blends with the English staples. Just the right level of heat that makes its presence known without being too spicy too. Great spot for an indulgent and tasty lunch.

Lovely decor. Stopped in for a couple of hot drinks. The waitress was friendly and the atmosphere welcoming.

Visited this place on Queens Road in Leicester last week. We asked the waitress to recomend a dish and we went with her suggestion. The veggie toastie and potato wedges were really spicy and hot, just how we liked them. A wonderful taste and flavour and a place we will visit again very soon. Thank you to the staff who were all so lovely.

The perfect place to come for a relaxed drink and gorgeous food. Service is welcoming and they go above and beyond to make sure you're happy! A great local bar for the area!

I've loved going here over the past few weeks, but it does seem like the quality of the toasted sandwiches and chips have gone down recently. I would also love to see the dips come back, there used to be a coriander one, a tamerind one, and another which I really enjoyed.

Wonderful food and service - The Lucknowi in particular was delicious, excellent flavours and great portion size. Look forward to visiting again!

This was a great little place very cosy and the staff were welcoming friendly and helpful, I love the carrot 🥕prices were very reasonable and I am looking forward to returning.

An easy going meet up place, a real asset to the street. And if you're a hop head like me & they haven't got the real ale you love, Dad will happily supply bottles of choice from bargain booze next door🍻

A really cool new coffeehouse and probably my favourite on Queen's Road! Serves good coffee at Queen's Road prices but also serves alcoholic drinks, hot food, and baked goods. Nice interior decorations and outdoor seating, plus takeaway. The barista is very nice

Chai not to my liking but the food was superb!

We had an absolutely amazing authentic Indian dinner on the outside terrace. The experience was extremely Covid secure and the staff were so friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to experience authentic Indian food. The cocktails were absolutely delicious too. I would highly recommend and thank you to the staff for making us have such a great experience (especially in light of the cold weather!!).

Excellent customer service from Jas - 100% recommend, I had 'The Brit' melt gluten free and it was delicious, great price and not too spicy. All I would improve is having a knife with the sandwich as the melt is wonderfully stringy from the cheese, can't wait to see you guys again!

Went here today and we all loved the Mumbai melt. Would highly recommend. Came with so many lovely chutneys and some coleslaw, we didn't even expect it to. Chips were delicious, will 100% go back! So impressed

The flavours of this place are out of this world! Delicious without being over spiced. We've had the big valentine's meal which was epic and we've had Brit toasties, all amazing. Their portions are generous. So accommodating to dietary requirements or even just preference! Beautiful food and I hope it flourishes here.

The sucess of any business comes with great customer-service. At the Verandah I felt looked after, that I was "a customer" not just "another customer". I am always careful when eating outside as I can get an upset stomach easly, but at the verandah I could tell the food was fresh, as if it was home cooked food.

I order protha portion is to small you pay for meal but I had a like baby meal portion sorry to say I am so disappointed I want my money back

Delicious food and great hospitality! I recently visited “The Verandah” and tasted some beautiful Indian food. The Mumbai Melt sandwich was to die for! I will definitely be going back again. We also got the veggie potato and lamb keema “pukka pao.” It was delicious! The staff are really friendly and this local bar/cafe is just what Queen’s Road has been waiting for!
