The Distillery in Leicester

The food was really disappointing. Portions about half the size you'd expect, I'd hate to see how small the small plates are. Really expensive for what it is. Chicken dish advertised with BBQ sauce came dry as a bone. Mac and cheese had no flavour, just wet and warm. You'd expect a chrizo mac and cheese to have chorizo in it, not just a slice of deli meat thrown on top. Can't work out if the garlic dough balls were overcooked or raw. They were milk white but somehow rock hard. Took 15 minutes to get a drink because the bar staff kept serving people who were there after me. Couldn't use the cubicle because someone was snorting something in there. Only positive is the decent amount of TVs for football.

Uwam and Amber was absolutely amazing 👏 cannot fault the service! Everyone who wants a brunch run don't walk to the distillery in Leicester.

We had a great birthday celebration with a Bottomless Brunch. The staff were friendly. The person looking after our table was great. Food was good and the service was fantastic. We had a couple of people with different food intolerances which were catered for.

We’ve been here a few times for bottomless brunch and I’m really leaving this review because I wanted to shout out the lovely Amber who looked after us and made sure our drinks were kept topped up - it was busy and she was running round all over the place! Give this girl a raise! Thanks Amber

Nice bar, didn’t eat there however had a pint before the match. Accepts away fans which is great, nice and clean, great service.

Reservamos una mesa del Día de la Madre como siempre hemos tenido comidas y bebidas decentes aquí. Toda la experiencia fue deslucida para ser honesto. Todo el personal parecía muy miserable; nadie nos recibió aunque habíamos reservado y la señora que trajo nuestra comida era muy antipática. Tuvimos que pedir cubiertos en el bar. Nadie hizo una revisión. La comida estaba bien, pero el tamaño de las porciones no era consistente. Los baños estaban muy sucios. La pizarra "comprobada con frecuencia" no estaba actualizada y no lo había estado por un tiempo. Si hubiera habido una revisión de la comida habría informado de los baños, pero no hay personal alrededor.

I haven't visited The Distillery before, just passing and ready for a bite to eat and a drink, Tuesday lunchtime (time 1pm) and quiet which is how I like it, served by Amber who was pleasant and helpful and provided a nice G&T to go with the lunchtime menu Burger and chips, very impressed with the burger, £9 in total for a drink and food for one, what's not to like? I will call again and am looking for other locations that this company operate.

Fabuloso brunch sin fondo, lo siento mucho pero no conseguimos los nombres del personal que nos atendió. Nunca tuve que pedir una copa una vez, siempre estaban allí antes de que hubiéramos terminado nuestra última bebida, los cócteles sabían increíble. La comida era preciosa también. Recomendaría absolutamente ⭐️

It is a convenient spot for food and drink, but the staff can struggle with niche requests at the bar.

6 friends booked for the Bottomless brunch. From beginning to end we were looked after very well served by Sabrina & Uwam - great job. 4 big breakfasts and 2 pizza's delicious. Food freshly cooked served on warm plates. Drinks/cocktails very good. We'll be back. Thank you very much.

Staff were all super friendly, and I thought the food menu was reasonably priced too. We had a table for 4. Came in on a busy Saturday afternoon and most tables reserved. They seated us in a reserved table with the instruction to be finished before the table came in, which we were happy to do. We all enjoyed our food, and my pizza was very tasty. Only a few minor complaints are that a friends Old Mout was flat, my garlic bread was a little cold and my parters Christmas burger was served with the smallest pig in blanket I’ve ever seen. But all tasted good, I’d definitely return back anyway.

Phenomenal place to go for a bottomless brunch food was delicious drinks were perfect me and the Mrs have been served by Uwam twice now for bottomless brunch he never stops moving and always comes round to check how we were and if we needed more drinks decent bloke knows what he's doing looking forward to going back

Came here for my birthday as a surprise by the girls! CANNOT fault them at all. We had bottomless brunch and it was amazing! Jamie was so quick with the drinks and we were all leathered 😂😂

We only got spoke to 3 times during are visit for bottomless brunch , there was only 4 other tables with guests and we where a party of 8 the biggest one present, you expect to be the main center of attention however it didn't feel like that was the case , food was a bit average would not recommend the blue cheese burger wasn't very nice, Overall definatly room for improvement with in the buisness

The place was fully packed when we came for our Christmas party. The music was quite loud and have to talk extremely loud to have proper conversation. Otherwise, we had a nice time and the music selection was really good.

Perfect place to go for drinks after meal out with work colleagues. Friendly staff

Nice bar, good food, atmosphere and location were good. Would definitely visit again. Only small issue was the order was wrong and that they were out of mulled wine. No deal breakers but certainly something I would like better for future visits. As a vegan, the options were really good and not the standard options which was a nice change too.

Had an amazing Christmas night out!! Uwam was so professional and great with our table never forgot a drink when there was 19 off us, made the evening that little bit better!! We will be back ☺️

A great place but very very loud

I was looking for a place to catch up with friends, but unfortunately, the experience wasn’t as hoped. The music was so loud that we couldn’t have a conversation, and we ended up leaving after an hour. Also, the drink prices at the bar were higher than those shown in the app, and none of the staff could explain why, which felt very unfair to the customer. On the positive side, the food was fine, and the decor was lovely, with a lot of potential. Sadly, these downsides overshadowed the overall experience.

We had a bottomless brunch and we could not rate Sabrina high enough - give that woman a raise as she made our bottomless brunch!

Always my favourite bottomless brunch to go to, Uwam has served me on plenty of occasions and is always friendly and provides fantastic service. The drinks are always quick and there’s a huge selection of both drinks and food to choose from.

Stag party for their bottomless brunch. Food is okay but the free drinks offer is amazing. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Returning to our table often to take orders for our next round of drinks. We were even warned our 2 hour slot was coming to an end so order a last round before the free drinks package ends! Great place for stag/hen gatherings. There is a generous helping of 40 something women very pissed up and cackling at full volume but don't let that put you off. 🙂

This bar needs to completely replace its staff, give the place a DEEP CLEAN, and any kitchen staff need not be anywhere near food preparation or cooking ever again. Food: Shockingly bad, how do you undercook pizza?! And chicken wings?! These are basic bar kitchen foods?! Service: Non-Existent staff were either having indepth discussions on skateboarding or buying vape pens from their local vagrant. BIG NO NO NEVER LET NON STAFF HANG AROUND THE KITCHEN AND BEHIND THE BAR AREA. Atmosphere: None, televisions have no sound, staff talking nonsense amongst themselves and paying next to no attention to the very little customers they have. Last but not least... First impressions are massively important, so someone explains to me why empty bottles, pint glasses, and plates are sat on tables outside the main entrance. The floor is sticky and horrible to look at?! This place can't even do the very basics right, and as a hospitality consultant, I'm flabbergasted at how little due care and attention this place takes across the board.
