We were here on the 8th January for a wedding reception but omg what a shambles they were very unorganised and the place was cold they gave people blankets to cover themselves up plus my husband who is in a wheelchair and son went for a smoke before dinner but got stuck in the lift eventually after 55 mins they got out after phoning fire brigade because there couldn’t get a lift engineer out apparently there insurance ran out and they didn’t renew it so after they got out they were so stressed we ended up just going home so our night was wasted never even got to get our meal

Wont be back! Mac & cheese wasn’t very warm, the sauce was just cream. Fries were good though. Customer service was very poor. Was overcharged for wine so had to bring to the staffs attention, without an apology. Been in the hospitality industry for many years and been in a few bars in my time so hence the reason I have written a review today. Shame as the place and decor is beautiful but I suppose my complaint is the reason it is so quiet. Train your staff some manners in customer service and a better chef might help your business. Lady with the black hair had a terrible attitude

A lovely looking place, nice staff, but both myself and my friend found that our food wasn't hot enough. We didn't say anything at the time because we had seats booked for the pantomime and we were running out of time.

Was here last Xmas day for dinner and it was superb. Not this year though. An utter shambles with clueless staff. Took over an hour for the starter to arrive which was soup for three of us. Why does the chef think it's acceptable to serve up luke warm stock with some diced veg floating in it? I was served half a bowl of this with no bread. Had to ask one of the clueless staff for spoons to eat it with and some bread. Another hour later and the mains arrived. Turkey passable but can't really go wrong with 2 slices of turkey on the plate. Overcooked potatoes, one burned thin carrot, 5 small sprouts and some loose stuffing which was tossed on the plate....oh, and a hard, undercooked, practically raw parsnip. Another hour later and the dessert arrived which was ok, but these are pre-prepared. Other people were complaining when we were there and it wasn't even that busy. Staff spent more time talking and setting tables for boxing day than tending to customers who spent £75 a head for dinner....or did they forget that? Manager here should be ashamed. Train your staff properly to look after customers, and make sure the kitchen can cope with the numbers you accept for Xmas day. Wont be back here after this, which is a shame because we expected it to be consistent. Arrived her at 4.50pm and didnt leave until 8.15pm which speaks volumes for the service.

Their famous bacon baps consist of boiled fatty bacon with white residue on the bacon. Does not look like the picture on the shop window. Disgraceful.

Gilley’s Diner in Portsmouth, NH, is a hidden gem for anyone looking for classic diner food in a charming, nostalgic setting. My wife and I stopped by for a quick bite and were impressed by the experience. She ordered a hot dog with fries, and I opted for a double cheeseburger with fries. Both were served within 5 minutes, hot, fresh, and full of flavor. Despite the small menu, the food is top-notch for diner fare, and the friendly service adds to the experience. The diner itself is small and quaint, with only six seats, but the charm of this old food truck-turned-diner more than makes up for it. The service was fantastic—there's only one person running the place, and she handled everything seamlessly. If I lived in the area, I'd be here at least once a month. Highly recommend for anyone craving a quick, delicious meal in a cozy, old-school diner atmosphere.

Pub real, gente estupenda, gran personal, mucha diversión. Reglas simples durante Covid, firmar en la puerta con el número de la mafia, lavarse las manos, ordenar, sentarse, ¡la cerveza llega en segundos! Incluso fuera de un gran pub.

Visited this pub and stayed about 2 years ago, lovely rooms, great pub, cosy & inviting, great atmosphere and food. Visited pub this Easter weekend, well I was shocked! I assume changed hands as now run down and empty considering 8.30pm on Saturday evening. Not sure what it's meant to be but certainly didn't feel like a pub, more like a cross between a village hall and an Indian restaurant when you look at furniture. Place full of tables set for diners with mismatch metal chairs garden furniture and high back chairs from a restaurant, no comfortable sitting at all. Felt awkward sitting there for the 1 drink we had and they were already clearing bar to close for the night. Cold and clinical lighting and I won't mention the toilets! Disappointed visit and sad that the pub has lost its charm. Won't be visiting again plenty of other lovely pubs just a few 100 yards away.

We used to visit this place very often especially when down to commercial road for a shopping. The food is always delicious and we really enjoy their jacket potatoes - big and rich of flavours. The service is great. There could be queues sometimes, be aware of that. Prices are ok.
