We had a great experience at Twelve Bells. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. We tried the burger, vegan burger, and steak each one was delicious. The pub itself is beautiful, making it the perfect spot for a meal. Highly recommended!

Well frequented local pub and easy to understand why. Stay in Cirencester couple of times a year with work and always have a visit to here planned in. Friendly reception, well kept beer and if you fancy a bite to eat a menu to cover all tastes. The quality of the food and cooking warrants the review score. Well cooked, very enjoyable and not mass produced. Not over priced either. Casual evening, good pint and a great meal, what’s there not to like!

Went to 12 Bells Cirencester today for Sunday lunch. Friendly staff and the meal was great. We all had a roast beef dinner which was beautifully cooked and had a good selection of veg to choose from at the table. All nice and hot too. Definitely recommend it.

When we arrived we were met by a lovely member of staff who cleaned and saw us to a table relatively quickly (we didn’t book). We ordered food which was fine, however the waitress appeared very disinterested and unhappy. It really put a dampener on the evening and as she came across rude and abrupt. We were asked to settle our bill at 10pm, none of us were aware that they closed at 10pm. We obviously apologised saying we were unaware, however the atmosphere was very hostile, like we have definitely overstayed our welcome. As we settled the bill and left, we realised that the pub doesn’t shut at 10pm, it’s 11pm. Maybe the restaurant shuts at 10pm, but we couldn’t see anything to say this. It would have been nice if we were advised we could settle the bill and maybe move the bar side? We would have stayed for and drink or 2 if we’d have known. Food was ok, but service was poor and we won’t be returning.

Went to the Cotswolds for my birthday over the weekend. Called the pub to ask if they had space for a group of 10 people and on the phone were very polite and said there was enough space. When we arrived we were told that it would be “too tight” to fit us in. I’m pretty sure the amount of space had something to do with the colour of our skin. Horrible feeling and experience.

Chicken, Beef and Nutroast were all excellent with lots of perfectly cooked vegetables. Excellent selection of ales and lagers. Sadly we were too full to try dessert but the Jam Sponge looked lovely on the table next to us. Would absolutely recommend a visit here. Just out of the middle of town but well worth finding. The TVs were switched off when I was there. There was music but not so loud that conversation was made difficult. The food was well cooked home style - if I didn’t have the prospect of a big meal later, the battered cod on two other tables would have reeled me in too. Nice choice of draught beers. All round honest-to-goodness pub - like pubs used to be. Enjoy!

They do the simple things very well. So our whitebait was on the table within moments of leaving the fryer. Excellent hearty pub food at really reasonable price 👌 If you want a good meal while in cirencester you can't go wrong with the Twelve Bells pub. The pub is just set off from the main part of cirencester, so it makes it ideal to grab a drink and food while all the main tourist places are packed few . It was very quiet when we arrived at 12 as it had just opened so that's the only reason I couldn't give more stars for atmosphere ✨️ but if you visit in the winter months make sure you go to the back room and sit by the fire 🔥 to warm up . The summer months it has a lovely small pub garden in the rear.
