Visited for a cream tea but decided to upgrade to the ultimate afternoon tea. It was a mix of savoury and sweet with more than enough for the two of us. It was beautifully presented and the selection was just right, including the small cups of soup. The owner was very attentive and made sure that everything was to our liking, even getting me a blanket when I felt a little bit cold due to the great British weather not being able to decide if it wanted to be summer or winter. Will definitely be going again, and next time will be for the Sunday roast, which looked amazing. While reading the reviews on the Tudor Rose tea rooms I noticed that a few were slating the owner. This is completely unfair. She was friendly and welcoming and interacted with everyone. Much better than going somewhere that has staff that are uninterested and can’t wait to see you leave. Thank you Louise for a wonderful and soon to be repeated visit.

We booked a private room at the Tudor Rose Tearooms for a baby celebration with family. We had their afternoon tea. The scones and cakes were delicious. They did a vegetarian option as well. The service was brilliant, I called the change the numbers several times and they were really accommodating and polite, even when I added another one when we arrived. They helped us take a group photo and provided some take-away containers as we couldn't finish all the food. There were 16 of us in the end and we had some space for the games. The room is small so that's something to bear in mind if looking at booking for a party, but it was exactly what we wanted. I would book again. Thank you Tudor Rose for your hospitality!

We arranged to have afternoon tea here, after scattering my mum and dads ashes at sea, The staff were lovely and friendly, and very accommodating with us, I am gluten free which they catered for,everyone loved the afternoon tea, and we even took some cakes home as we were full ! My mum and dad would have totally loved the idea of afternoon tea. It is in a beautiful old building and we sat in the garden which was lovely! Thank you, I would certainly recommend the tudor rose!

We had an American guest staying with us and wanted to take her for Sunday lunch somewhere very British! The Tudor Rose Tea Rooms was the perfect place. Not only is this place the most stunning Tea Rooms ever, the roast dinner was outstanding! The owner met us with a huge welcome and we sat in the beautiful gardens. All staff were equally as fab. Me and my husband visited today and had one of your Easter themed afternoon teas. We both thoroughly enjoyed it all . I will go as far as saying it was the best afternoon tea I have ever had. Myself and my mum enjoyed a sunday roast here on Easter Sunday. It was delicious, and the staff are so very friendly and make you feel very welcome. At £20 a head for a roast dinner and dessert..it's great value! There was also the choice to have afternoon tea which also looked amazing.

My family and I booked for afternoon tea. The staff were all very friendly and attentive from the start. The afternoon tea had a lovely selection of sandwiches and sweet treats. The scone was so light and delicious. Despite our best efforts we couldn’t manage it all and we were given some boxes to take the goodies home, which was a lovely touch. Although we didn’t try them ourselves some other diners were having Sunday roasts and they looked spectacular, so we are already planning a return visit to try these! The tea rooms are set in a lovely venue. The Tudor Rose is a real gem, which I would highly recommend!

Great experience today , Sunday Roast ! Good portion size, well presented, plenty of veggies, nice touch to have a gravy boat to enhance the meal . For myself I just about had room Rhubarb Cobbler an Custard. Staff were attentive and friendly, so all in all a big thanks to Louise and the Chef, we will see you again.Best

We're no strangers to the Tudor Rose Tea Rooms, and it's the lovely staff, the great food and drinks which keep us coming back. Very attentive, friendly staff, amazing cakes, savouries and fresh finger sandwiches were the order of the day on our latest visit not to mention oodles of tea for us and the kids. Had to congratulate the maker of the lemon/blueberry cake, as it was simply divine...so light, a slight breeze could whip it out the window! My children ate all the Galaxy rocky road slices on our platters, so the staff took pity on me and give me another piece (which kids STILL ate :D ) We ended up with a take home container, as we were stuffed but we feel they offer great value for money! All in all, if you're in area, or you just fancy treating yourselves or your loved ones - do yourself a favour and get yourself down here...you won't be sorry. (I advise booking, as they can get busy, especially weekends/special occasions). Adam

Louise accommodated my family of 5 for the Mother's Day Afternoon Tea at an hour short notice! I can't thank Louise enough & her amazing team. The cascading tiers of food art arrived shortly after the tea was served with a novelty tea cozy cover of Gromit! loved the idea. A delicious selection of fresh crustless sandwiches, and homemade mouth-watering green pea spinach tart with a whipped feta swirl crown. The beetroot & toasted walnut crostini was a palatable delight. A mini pot of divine peach melba with a fresh raspberry x to die for Galaxy rocky road slices. A light moist heavenly lemon blueberry drizzle cake, sprinkled with violet edible petals & not forgetting the warm scones with Tiptree strawberry jam & Rodda's clotted cream x just perfectly delectable X wish every day was Mother's Day!

Lovely tea room set back behind south side street! Friendly yet professional staff and what a refreshing pleasure to be welcomed from the initial booking ( thank you to Sandra), through to the end of our visit. This is what customer care is all about and some other businesses could take a leaf out of their book. nothing was too much trouble. My mum had been bought a voucher for a traditional cream tea for two and my daughter came along. she is coeliac. We were 10 minutes late due to not being able to park, so I rang and spoke to Louise, who was so nice and understanding, reassuring us it wouldn't be a problem. My daughter was chuffed to bits with her plate of goodies and told me her sandwiches and cakes were the best she'd ever had! She also had a luxury hot chocolate. We couldn't manage it all so were given a box to take home some leftovers. The rooms are quaint with traditional tea cups and teapot. The decor makes it feel cosy, and just like an old fashioned tea room. The waitress was very smiley, helpful and friendly. I'd like to visit again when the weather is better and sit in the lovely garden. Will definitely go back soon. Thank you ladies x

Sunday 11/02/24 -Wow wow wow the Sunday roast was spectacular! The most beautiful quaint tea rooms with 1940s music playing while you eat! We were greeted with a very warm welcome shown where to hang up our coats and taken to our table. All the staff were so friendly and we felt so looked after! Pudding was an apple and cherry cobbler with custard, just delicious! I will definitely be going back to try out the breakfast and the cream tea! Highly recommend 🙌

Normally come here for afternoon tea, but thought we would try the roast. And oh my word we were not disappointed! Hands down the best roast I’ve had! You can tell everything is cooked fresh and the cherry on top is the staff. The lady that owns it is so friendly and you can tell she has huge pride in her business, and so she should. Everything about this place is amazing! 10/10

We had our Christmas lunch here and it was AMAZING!! The food was so tasty and well cooked, the staff so friendly and helpful and the decor so cosy. Really couldn't have picked a better place for us to have our lunch together. Top marks!!

Very disappointed with the food, the veg was all frozen and basic....peas with Xmas lunch was a let down when there are so many seasonal veg available. My starter was 'greasy' and inedible. Dessert was OK but nothing special. Room was very cramped, being sat next to the coffee machine was no fun, deafened every time someone wanted coffee. Staff were good!

Had a fab Christmas get together with yet another incredible roast dinner with such warm and professional service. Every single thing on the plate was perfectly cooked and the cauliflower cheese is heavenly. I cannot recommend this special place enough. Thank you Louise, Gemma and your lovely team.
