Fab find whilst visiting for a friends wedding. We came for breakfast and we were not disappointed. All good quality ingredients served with a friendly smile.

The best bacon and edd sandwich ever!

Thank you Emma and staff for making our Golden Wedding lunch such a great occasion. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food was fantastic too. Very special place.

This restaurant has a perfect balance of excellent food at a reasonable price and excellent friend and attentive service! Rare these day that places just get it spot on! This place, however, nailed it! The ladies were so lovely and the food spot on. Perfect place to enjoy a leisurely afternoon. Good luck trying to actually leave, atmosphere 5*, service perfectly attentive, food decent portion and perfectly cooked. Just spot on!

New to us but varied menu, great service from a pair of young and very helpful Waitresses. Salmon, Sea Bass, the Diary Special of the Day and Chicken. All good. Likewise most unusual Gzoya Dumplings with Maple Syrup (think Dimsum). A fine Cortado and Americans with Oat and Soya Milk. Hayling Seagoon

Thank you everyone for making our 'Hen Party" lunch so enjoyable . The platters, were amazing and the staff and service superb . I dropped some decorations off earlier in the day and the staff had even gone to the trouble of decorating the room for us- totally unexpected . 10 out of 10 for the entire experience and look forward to coming back soon Many thanks Sarah xx👍

Sorry. Perhaps we came on bad day but we’re not impressed. Had breakfast with some items I didn’t want but no extras of anything provided. 1 rasher of bacon, I sausage, 1 egg, 1 potato rosti (small), 1 toast and beans for £13.50. The food was nothing special.

I am so glad that we found this spot on our way further North. From the start the service was excellent, we were on a fairly small table but when a larger one with nicer seating became available the front of house asked us if we'd like to move. Nice touch. We both has a prawn starter with all the things I like most in a dish, Spanish black pudding, generous amounts of garlic and chilli, a goodly splash of wine heavy sauce. A delight to look at and brilliant to eat. Nice work chef. I went for Stone Bass with creamy mash and a split cream and oil herb sauce. After the boom of the starter this was subtle and delightful. Meg had fillet of beef with dauphinoise and pepper sauce. The first two courses were so good that we both went for a chocolate box pudding, good choice. Prices, taking into account the quality, are pretty good. £13 for the prawn starter, my Bass was was £27, pudding £13, very good bottle of Chardonnay at £26. It's worth visiting Stokesley just to dine here.

This little beauty off a restaurant is our favourite place to eat. Staff fabulous, Owner Martin very friendy and very accommodating. I am very fussy eater but have ever left anything on my plate. We try to eat there once a week. Very cosy, clean. Never have been disappointed with anything we order. Well done to all, love this place

Outstanding food and service. This is our second visit and it’s been so good both times. Tried the ‘no Parmo here’ tonight. Absolutely amazing!! We’ve been lucky enough to eat at the Truffled Hog a few times over December and January, for brunch, lunch and dinners. The food is consistently excellent, interesting and a bit different; service is prompt and friendly. Not the cheapest but well worth it for a special night out.

I have been here for coffee a couple of times on an afternoon with friends, but never on an evening. I went last night with a friend and the food was fantastic, we both had a main and dessert. The staff were very attentive and friendly and nothing was a problem. I will definitely visit again. Thanks.

Situated in stokesley it’s refreshing to see something a little different from the usual offerings. It’s a fairly intimate but has a nice feel. Evening meal was good, & to be fair the food cookery & quality was pretty good. However, the portions sizes are on the small side of measly, & the prices seem a little high to justify. £38 for a sharing platter is just way too high, & what arrived was more of an expensive fright than the ‘Patrick’s delight’ that was advertised. Yes it was okay and tasted nice, but £38…come on guys. If the cod is hiking up the price of this dish remove it (too difficult to share anyway) replace with prawns then reduce the cost by £10…more people may then opt for this. The main meals again were really tasty, but portions just not right.….who wants to leave hungry & out of pocket? This place could be really good & have more bookings, but if you scrimp on the bread (with the starters) & the sharing pot of veg with the mains which had a few carrots & green beans (surely the cheapest part of the menu to bulk out) you will not see many repeat customers. Would love to see this place succeed, but some tweaks needed. Service okay & pleasant, but some trainng needed to make this worthwhile

Nice atmosphere and surroundings. Love the T-Pots unfortunately breakfast was average at best, black pudding not cooked, potato rosti crispier than a bag of chip sticks, no butter with your toast and poached eggs more like boiled eggs as no runny yolks Final bill £33 for 2 x breakfasts and 2 x cups of tea. Our evening on Saturday was perfect, a group of six of us all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, we all had three courses and every single dish was perfect. Attentive and friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere, great drinks. We will definitely be back. Thank you TH.

I don't usually take some time out to drop a review, but this place was more than amazing. Probably the best meal we've had since getting over here for our holiday. All Day Brunch menu is top tier, friendly staff, great coffee. Will definitely be coming back to sample the other delights.

Lovely little place. Service was top notch, as was the food we were served. I highly recommend the steak/cod sharing board (can't remember what they called it) it was absolutely superb. And a good dessert too, which isn't always the case in some restaurants. I had the creme brulee and my wife had the chocolate fondant. Both very good. Fantastic dining experience. Menu isn't huge, but I like that. What is on the menu is excellent from what I had.

It's always a pleasure to find a gem like this! Small unpretentious. Chef owner greets guests at the door. Braised lamb shoulder with duck fat braised potatos and parsnip puree was fantastic, cheese cauliflower with yorkshire Pudding didn't disappoint. If you're ever in the stokesley UK. It's a must

Visited the restaurant for date night. Lovely warm environment with attentive and friendly staff. Delicious food, tried a sharing board and desserts. Great cocktails. Overall highly recommend.

Really tasty food, lovely interiors and friendly staff. We would love to return again one evening. We loved that our dog was allowed in too! My only complaint would be I'd have loved a bit more veg with my main meal.

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch on 15th October 2023. Staff were lovely. Lunch was different than the usual. Confit potato, asparagus, parsnip puree, chive mash, heritage carrots. Piping hot cauliflower cheese. Yorkshire pudding and stuffing. Really nice gravy too. Hubbie had lamb. I had chicken. Hubbie said it's the best Sunday lunch he's eaten out in a long time.

Lovely tasty breakfast today. Eggs Benedict and a full English. Both very well prepared and tasty ingredients. If I was to order the eggs Benedict again, I would personally do without the flat mushroom, as it was very big and almost took over the dish. Great if you like flat mushrooms. Coffee's nice and hot, cappuccino very good. We ordered cakes to take away, could do with a box, rather than a bag, as one of the cakes did not make it home very well. Dog friendly place. Only drawback - no accessible toilet on the ground floor, just something to be aware of if you have mobility issue's. Only toilets are upstairs.

Called in for a cold beer and sat on the outside area watching the world go by. Wonderful spot to do this. Staff were friendly and attentive. Must go back and try the food soon.

I was kindly invited to Martin's Sea Food and paired wines evening last Thursday (24.08.2023). What a treat! From the moment I stepped in I was greeted by friendly knowledge Staff who kept the night flowing with conversation and great wines. The food for me was out of this World with my favourite being the Oysters which I had never tried. Stumbled across this little gem of a place. Very welcoming, attentive staff and the most scrumptious Sunday lunch. We only had Sunday lunch but the rest of the menu looked absolutely out of this world. They also have wine pairing nights which could be seen on the roll down paper specials menu on the second floor. Déco inside and out was very fitting with the whole venue and I'd absolutely recommend a stop off here if passing Stokesley - an amazing find and will definitely be back

Thank you for hosting my 60th birthday gathering on Friday evening, the upstairs room is delightful, the cocktails 🍸 fabulous, the food from the brunch menu was really superb, I had the shrooms, others had Yorkshire pudding wrap to name a couple, all delicious! A special thank you to the lady member of staff who helped to look after our friend with her medical issue, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend, thank you Karen M

Gorgeous brunch for a reasonable price. Shrooms and poached eggs on toast, Croque French toast and two pots of Yorkshire Tea (which our server kindly topped up with water for us)... we also couldn't resist sharing sticky toffee pancakes for afters, which were ridiculously indulgent but delicious 😋 It all came to £36 which I thought was a great price for a nice experience. We'll definitely be back to try more from the brunch menu. Oh and we noticed some gluten free options on the menu too 😀.

Am excellent find! The menu was lovely with some great options. The food was flavoursome. One of the vegan options was sold out for the day however the chef made up a dish that was amazing.

Loses a star for having an old menu on the website and thereby mildly disappointing my wife on her birthday, and also because imo there wasn't a great choice of desserts (not even ice cream) That being said the food was well cooked and of top quality. The signature cocktail was a highlight and beautifully presented. The coffee was easily some if the nicest I've had at any restaurant and the icing on the cake... the loos/changing facilities are immaculate with quality soap and a quaint quirky surprise. I love this place! Cosey, welcoming and perfect for so many occasions. Whether it's a solo cappuccino ( which i felt totally comfortable doing thanks to the lovely welcome), brunch or cocktails with the girls, the truffled hog is definitely worth a visit. It's super stylish too and i love the singing birds in the toilets!

Nice little bistro/restaurant. Food is excellent and that's reflected, somewhat, in the price. It's not expensive, but if you're used to paying a fiver for a breakfast then you'll be in for a shock. However, as I said, the food IS excellent and of high quality - it's also prepared, cooked and served beautifully. The menu is different too so if you're after burgers, bland Sunday roast, gammon egg'n'chips etc then look elsewhere. Service is polite, friendly and unintrusive. I'll be back and that's as high a recommendation as I can give.

We enjoyed a very tasty late lunch. The staff were very attentive and prompt. Portion sizes were perfect for lunch. The little Portugese custard tarts (pareis de nata??) were delicious. And not expensive.
