The Travellers' Rest in Bath and North East Somerset

I visited the Traveller’s Rest last night for dinner with my boyfriend and another couple. The staff were really welcoming and friendly and were patient with us when choosing our orders. We all had main courses and desserts and everything that was served was of excellent standard. The strawberry cheesecake was particularly light and delicious. We cannot wait to return to try some of the other options on the menu!

Just visited Travellers Rest for lunch. Excellent meal and service. It,'s refreshing to find a pub restaurant that serves good pub grub of high quality at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend tp anyone.

We visited the Travellers Rest for a meal last night and the food was fantastic. Between us, we had a wide range of food from the menu and each dish was delicious, cooked to perfection, with generous portion sizes. The staff were so lovely and friendly and made us feel really welcome, even in these strange times of eating out with masks etc. I rarely leave reviews, but we had such a lovely time, with fantastic food and service that I couldn’t not. If you are thinking of eating out, you will not be disappointed if you visit The Travellers Rest.

They have done the covid precautions good and the food is ok. Unfortunately we were let down by the fact we had 2 kids meals which are not cheap at £7.50 each only to find out when we got home that the kids should of had a drink and a dessert with there meal but no one told us this or offered anything which was bad of the staff. New Menu is limited in choice and prices have gone up. Not great value anymore. Will not be rushing back.Great location though and good outside space.

The landlady and the staff didn't welcome us at all, I felt as though they were doing us a favour, yet I've been there lots of times ( never again, from now on). The menu was very basic, whereas before there was a wider choice. I had fish and chips, the batter was a bit soggy and unappetising, the chips were sparse and the "clotted cream" ice cream turned out to be your common or garden vanilla variety. There wasn't any "Did you enjoy your meal?" and "Thank you, come again". I'll cross this pub off my list.

Came here as a group of 5, and had a great time here. Safety measures in place were excellent, tables were set out so that you were safely out of everyone else's way without taking away the atmosphere. Staff were all friendly and happily going along with the rubbish jokes being made by some of the group! Food was excellent - I had the double cheeseburger with bacon which was great! Followed by the brownie, which is the BEST brownie I've ever had!! Will definitely be returning.

Beer garden had lovely views and a sheltered area too incase it rains. Food was delicious, typical pub grub menu which was perfect. Staff were lovely and really supporting keeping us safe with their hygiene practices

Came here for dinner a few nights ago as we have just moved to the village. We wanted to try out all the pubs and made the most out of the eat out to help out scheme. We were greeted at the entrance and were asked to sanitise our hands and were shown to our table. We asked if we could sit outside as the view on the decking is incredible! This was fine with the staff however it looked as if it was going to start raining just after we had received our drinks. We moved inside and felt very comfortable eating our food inside the restaurant due to the strict one way system in place and the reminder to sanitise our hands after coming in from outside. The food was classic home cooked pub food but was excellent! The steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious! We will be making more trips to The Travellers Rest in the future due to the lovely staff who work there and great food and views!! Would like to say a special thank you for making us feel relaxed and being so attentive :)

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I felt very safe visiting a pub for the first time with an elderly relatively. However I would think twice about going back as the food was awful. Firstly, my glass of wine looked like a glass of water and tasted like it had been diluted. The Sunday lunch was terrible, the beef was over cooked and completely tasteless, the veg and potatoes were frozen and were also tasteless. The gravy tasted like gravy granules and was very thin. I was very disappointed as the setting is amazing and with a little more effort could have been so much better. I really wouldn’t have minded paying more for a decent meal.

We stopped here for a late lunch today. Service was great and staff were taking every precaution in light of COVID (socially distancing, one way system through the pub and table service). We had the nut roast and turkey roast. Both were generous portions and good value. We had a drink out on the terrace before we left, which had a great view of local fields. We will definitely be back in future. Thank you!

Having been here for roast with my family for my birthday the roast dinner wasn’t actually that bad just not enough veg or gravy. And if you wanted more gravy you had to pay what I don’t agree with.. very expensive also.. unsure if I’ll visit again for that reason . Can get better elsewhere for cheaper

Just stopped here for coffee on our way home from holiday after a long drive so pleased we did, walked in to a lovely place decorated for Christmas with very nice and kind people happy to see us.Everything was so clean.I only wish we had time to stop for lunch but will go back one day.

We went here early evening as a party of 6. Two couples in their 60’s and the parents of the two brothers (so, nearly 90).Good clear access and understanding staff appreciating that the oldest couple don’t move quickly.Plenty of choice and all the meals were decent quality with helpings that were more than large enough. The desserts were especially good. Happily eat here again.Our only concern would be ensuring we were sat somewhere warm. With the parents against a radiator we were ok but the conservatory wasn’t the warmest.

Visited on Sunday, as a meeting place with my family. There were 18 of us, and I understand that large parties can be a little challenging to deal with as going bar staff and waitresses. We ordered a mixed range of food, including roasts, lasagne, fish and chips and steaks. First of all, I couldn’t understand why the bar staff were bringing drinks to our table one drink at a time. It would’ve looked much more professional to use a tray and bring numerous drinks at one time. Myself and partner had roast beef and it was average. The meat a little tough, Yorkshire puddings definitely not homemade but frozen, a small amount of veg and extremely lacking gravy. At £11.95 I think this is a little steep for what we got. I had a chocolate brownie for pudding and it was very nice, however my uncle’s pudding was somehow forgotten about, even though my auntie had pre ordered every item of our meals including puddings and sides, so we couldn’t understand what the mix up was with this and it was a little disappointing. The woman at the bar seemed unsure how to work the till quickly and efficiently, again far from professional. We wouldn’t return.

Only found this place on the Internet as wife was looking for somewhere with more than 1 choice for a gluten free meal. Have driven past this place hundreds of time. Great food, lovely friendly staff, a proper old pub. Will be back again.

Visited with my husband, I’m gluten free and could not ask for better food, a very good gluten free menu, with real food, not a jacket potato in sight, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful, I will be returning to this pub again, it’s the first time in two years ( since being gluten free) I’ve been given a choice of food

We went for a meal friends and booked a table for four at 7:30pm. On entering the pub, we were struck by the VERY bright lighting. It’s a very traditional pub, with typical carpet and furniture of its type, with lights up so high it had the feel of a holiday camp dining room! However, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was absolutely great, fresh, and piping hot, with plenty of choice! The only thing lacking was any sense of atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend for food and staff but drop a point for ambience, such a shame, because it can make or break a nice occasion.

We were staying close by on 01st and 02nd August for our Golden Anniversary and were looking for a nice pub to eat each evening without having to travel too far. We had booked at a different pub but on the way back to our hotel we were passing this pub and thought we would pop in. Glad we did as when we asked about an evening menu the lovely lady, who I presume was the landlady gave us such a nice welcome and could not do more. Because of her response we got that feeling that this was a nice pub and just up our street so we cancelled the other booking and booked for two nights at The Travellers Rest. We had two great meals in a real friendly pub which was just a stone throw from where we stayed at the Summerhouse B&B. The food is wholesome pub grub, nothing fancy but you will not be disappointed. Great landlady who works her butt off, thanks for two great meals and we will call back again.

I came here for a meal with friends and all started well until the food came out. I ordered a lasagne which came with a bowl of side salad. In the salad I noticed a really long dark hair.. I'm not usually one to complain but when there is hair in my food I felt I had to. There was no apology or anything just an "oh ill get you another one" which I kindly declined. When eating my food and talking with my friends there was an older lady with grey hair behind the bar who rudely said "well it wasnt my hair" whilst looking at me. She quickly looked away when she noticed I had heard her. Really unprofessional in my opinion being made to feel I did something wrong. I won't be returning.

We arrived much later in the evening than booked, having rung to say we'd been stuck in traffic. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and the food was delicious and the portions generous. Lovely views from the conservatory and garden. Good straightforward and tasty food, not 'fine dining' but just what we needed. Highly recommended.

The mixed grill was a tough steak, 1 sausage, gammon and chicken and chips, no peas, tomatoes, mushroom or onions a poor plate of food for £22.00. It was cold and look pale and boring. Very disappointed.

I visited the Travellers Rest for the first time yesterday with 3 friends. It had been recommended to me and what a really lovely evening we had. We all had the small steak deal with home made crumble. It was truly excellent. The staff were so friendly, efficient and smiley, which sometimes is a rarity. We were welcomed warmly as we arrived and the whole evening was perfect. We will definitely be going back again and be recommending it to our friends.

It has been a long time but we have started to come back to the TR and it has the most amazing view of the mendips from the back garden.

Although it was extremely busy, it was Mother's Day, everything was good. Excellent food, served well - with a smile.

Popped in here whilst staying overnight in the area. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. I decided to go for the mixed grill, all the food is locally sourced and it tasted incredible! Great value for money. When I am back in the area I would definitely go again. If you are in the area and fancy some delicious food and a good drink. I highly recommend this place!

Very friendly and warm staff and excellent food. Just a query for the staff however, do you purchase your skewers for the burgers pre-knotted or do you knot them yourselves for each and every burger? I’d be intrigued to know!

Visited this pub whilst at summer house bed and breakfast nearby. They were very helpful from the moment I phoned right the way through to the end. The food is very reasonably priced, service is excellent they could not be more helpful especially wanting to write down directions to Bath for us should we need them. Would definitely visit again.

Had a lovely meal with my husband and daughters for my birthday, had a table in the bar as we like a relaxed setting, great staff,great food, we were all stuffed !!we did share a chocolate brownie which was too yummy to resist.

A lovely evening for my sisters 60th Birthday. We were a large party of 16 all with different meals ordered. All came out perfect and in good time. Lovely staff, we were made to feel special. My sister really enjoyed her birthday. Highly recommended.

We have visited the travellers rest twice once while I was pregnant and second time with our baby boy. Both times the food was lovely- seems proper home cooked food & staff very friendly. Will visit again!!

Had christmas lunch here last year booked again for this year for 5 of us never disapointed with this place. Lovely food and lovely helpful staff will hopefully go again next year also go throughout the year always great food would throughly recommend .

Defiantly the best Sunday lunch I’ve had in years, amazing service, staff were so friendly food was outstanding came out really hot a plus for me and although they were catering for a party of about 20 on another table, we didn’t have to hang around after ordering food, dink’s were brought to our table within minutes all in all it’s a must visit

Lovely little pub on the main road of A37. It has an amazing view over the valley. Staff always attentive and vicky is always smiling.

I live locally but never really went here for a meal so thought I would give it a go. i arrived as a walk-in. I found the staff friendly and welcoming and they found us a table straight away. It was table service so we didn't even have to get up to go to the bar. The food arrived it was plentiful as I don't think any of us could even contemplate a pudding as we were all full from the Main. As we left we sat in the car and all agreed we definitely would be coming here again. So would I recommend it to others, yes definitely because as I sit here at home writing this I am still pleasantly full and contented. So all in all a 5 star success.

For our first visit to this pub we were made very welcome. On our arrival it was "take a table and we will look after you". The staff were very friendly, and the food was superb, in both look and taste. The views from the back of the pub were stunning. A thoroughly enjoyable visit, and will definitely return.

This is a typical Pub, which specialises in Food. A very comprehensive Menu, which includes small meals for those who have small appetites.

Varied and interesting menu. Food presented well and hot. Staff friendly and helpful. Make sure you go to the conservatory with beautiful views up to the Mendips. The beer was good and showed a clearly good cellarman, local beers on tap.

Booked family Sunday Lunch for 5 of us. Service and food was top notch. Couldn't fault it, good value roast, with good choice of meats. Nice homely atmosphere.

Probably the nicest thing is the view across the fields to the hills in the distance. They were particularly busy when we ate there early on Friday evening and we had to wait quite a while for our food - but they did apologise. Staff were friendly and the food was OK. For folk like myself who are not wanting massive amounts of food they have a smaller portions menu which includes a choice of two desserts in the price. My small portion was more than adequate and cooked (steak) exactly as ordered. Nothing out of the ordinary but pleasant enough and I’d eat there again if I was in the area.

Very good family birthday meal. Staff were very obliging, and even brought out the birthday cake we'd supplied with candles lit, and singing Happy Birthday. Food was very good, it felt as though it had been freshly cooked. Smaller meals are available before 9 pm, which suits a lot of people. The views outside are stunning, and it was a lovely sunny evening. Was most of all impressed with how kind and helpful all the staff were.

We were traveling down to Wells from the Midlands, typical bank holiday weekend traffic, we decided to stop for food. Having stopped at a local Toby and walked out due to lack of service. It was nice to walk into the Travellers Rest and be acknowledged straight away. (Thank you Laura). We were seated quickly and told they were busy and there might be a wait. There was a delay in getting the food but once it arrived, it was worth the wait. The menu has a good choice of food, they do a smaller portion choice for people with smaller appetites. Overall the pub is clean and has a friendly atmosphere with great views over looking the valley, it also has a good size car park

Often visit this pub for lunch with friends it always serves us well with choices from board as well as thier main menu which includes value smaller portions for pensioners nice friendly staff lovely views from the back seating area.

Today myself and a friend visited Blackmore and Langdon nursery open day we asked were the best place was to get a meal, we were recommended by Nick Langdon to go to the travelers rest , we found the food to be excellent the service first class when in the area next time we will return and recommend all our friends to visit thank you

Enjoyed my visit here met friends we dined in the conservatory overlooking some amazing views. The menu is very varied including small plate meals which we had. Plenty to eat for a lunch plus price included ice cream or coffee or tea. Good value lovely...

Booked in at the last minute to this pub for Sunday lunch, what a terrible experience. The food was appalling; the sunday roast consisted of frozen (yes really) roast potatoes, frozen packet Yorkshire puddings, frozen peas, hard dry carrots and tough beef. Three roast lunches...

We called in this pub on our way out on a Saturday afternoon, it was pretty quiet and the conservatory was quite empty, we were given a warm welcome and sat at the table, the menus were great, not only lots of choice of food...

There were 19 of us plus a toddler! We were asked to pre order our main meal and all the food came out at the same time and was piping hot. Between us we had many different options from the main menu and everything was spot on! Good presentation too. Excellent friendly service and was quite busy or a Tuesday evening. This was not our first visit and food is consistently good quality...we will be back for sure!

Called in for a lunch when our walk in the area was interrupted by a hail storm. We were very satisfied with the meal and the staff were particularly friendly.

Went to the Travellers' Rest for Christmas Lunch there were 5 of us. It was absolutey Fabulous the food was delilious and piping hot, Lovely friendly staff had a really good time would throughly recommend this place, have been there many times first time for Christmas meal. Fantastic thank you.

Called in on the off chance for lunch, on entering we found that it was really quite busy, we enquired at the bar for a table and were told that if we didn't mind a bit of a wait they would fit us in. To which we agreed and they found us a table, There was a really pleasant atmosphere plus it was spotlessly clean through out, the menu had an ample choice of food plus there was a specials board. You order at the bar and your food is served when ready, we had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely superb, the meat just melted in your mouth. Couple this with ample portions of piping hot well cooked veg and you are on to a winner. This is a must stop if you are traveling the A37 either to or from Bristol.

We had a family get together here today for 35 of us and it was a lovely lunch. The food was yummy, service fantastic and location was perfect. I had the fish and chips and the chocolate orange cheesecake and would definitely recommend. With such a large party both the kitchen and waiting staff coped brilliantly even with a couple of our party arriving late.

had a 3 course meal, the cost was near to £70 yes we did have a couple of double spirits but for a pub thought this was high for just 2 people. Jacket potato was a good size but was under cooked so asked for it to be microwaved more and the cook decided that he would cook a fresh one but the wife had nearly had eaten her meal before it can out and the size was only half of the first one and the waitress said they was struggling to cook it in time. The mixed grill meat was very dry, plates could have been warmed to help keep food hot. The apple crumble wasn't sweet or that crumbly. Used to go think this was a great place but very disappointed wont be going back.

Been in the Travellers Rest a couple of time but this is the 1st time we have had food , what a lovely place ,The food is great & plenty to choose from , from menu and the specials board . Staff very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend the Travellers Rest go you won't be disappointed

Called in for lunch on the way to Bristol Airport, fairly busy as they do a great lunchtime deal for the over 60's.Good food, good service, friendly staff, great views from the conservatory area, and a good range of beers.Well worth a visit but you may need to book a table.

Three of us had meals two Sunday roasts pork and Turkey and a lasagna all were very well presented and cooked very well and tasted beautiful I was glad we booked a table as it gets very busy we have been three Times's now and will definitely be back

We had been diverted off the M5 on our way to south Dorset so after struggling through Bristol we were in need of some rest and recuperation. We certainly got it here. From the friendly welcome as we walked in through help to find us a table, guidance as to what to eat and then the service and food was excellent. The view from the window across the Chew valley is wonderful and when the weather is nice you can sit outside to enjoy it. Would thoroughly recommend it as a stop over.

We called in the Travellers' Rest on way to Bristol from Wells. This visit finished what was a very nice day out. The food- service -views all superb. I had the ham egg and chips the ham was cooked to perfection.Will certainly go back. Needless to say it was busy (no surprise) Lovely clean pub.

The occasion was a 40th Wedding Anniversary. Staff happily helped with gluten free options including a dessert. It was delicious. Other family members enjoyed roasts and lasagne. The goats entertained the children. Kind and friendly staff and a beautiful countryside view.

If you are within reasonable travelling distance of this pub and want to eat, make you way to the Traveller's Rest at Pensford. Superb views from the extended restaurant, an excellent choice of beautifully cooked dishes through out the day, served by a courteous and really friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable and if you are a senior citizen, there is a special menu for you offering outstanding value for money. Portions are very generous. We ate there two nights running and will return next time we are working in the area. Try the Turkish Delight cheese cake.

Went with my sister last minute had a lovely meal. Lasagne salad and chips very hot and tasty. A varied menu to suit all palates. Table with a fantastic review of the countryside in the conservatory wonderful on a summers evening. We had the homemade bake well tart with custard and the waffle with maple syrup yummy!! Food plentiful and value for money. Will definitely be returning again

My husband and I called in to this pub on the way back to our holiday cottage after a full day walking. What a surprise it was. The food was very good; the staff were friendly and there was no long wait for food. We both had omelette and chips which was cooked to perfection. Despite the rain, the views from the conservatory were great and what we thought was going to be a functional meal turned out to be a really enjoyable and tasty experience. Very good value too. Well done.

Just had a meal will 11 of the family aged from 5 years to 92 years they serve food to cater for all,with a good range for the kids,and at a fair price,the sharps beer and others are kept well and the staff are very helpful. And the well kept garden/lawn is good for the kits,and not to forget the veiw is fantastic.

This was our third port of call looking for a Sunday roast. Llodeka said it was an hour's wait; the Toby at Whitchurch said half an hour - but had nowhere to park and so we drove on down the A37 and ended up here. We were told that: we could have the dog on the deck; they would bring food out to us there; and it wouldn't be very long. And it wasn't. Both the turkey and the lamb portions were generous [I brought some turkey home for my jacket potato next day!]; the roast potatoes were good; but the vegetables [peas, carrots & cabbage] could have been cooked a little more for my taste - but then I'm old-fashioned! I guess £10.99 for a Sunday roast isn't cheap.

During the past 7 years we have had enjoyable lunches at the Travellers' Rest whenever we have been in the area from our home in Essex.About 3 weeks ago, I booked a Table for 8 for last Sunday at 12.30. I requested “our” usual long table on the right hand side of the Conservatory adjacent to the window. On arrival, I was told that a party of 20 had taken precedence in the Conservatory, and we were seated at a long table nearer the bar (in previous years, the views from the Conservatory, especially of the goats, have helped to keep our 2 grand children occupied, but with the increase in their ages, this is of less importance).I ordered our drinks and food at the bar, and in spite of the pub being busy, this was served very efficiently by the smart young ladies. All main courses and sweets were SUPERB, and, the general consensus was that the food was even better than previously.Many thanks to Sue and her excellent Team for providing us with our tasty lunches.

My husband and I dropped in here for Sunday lunch today, we were early 12.45, so we're shown to a table promptly by a very friendly member of staff.We ordered our food from the Sunday lunch menu, my husbands beef was nice, if not a little more than medium rare! As i am one of those dreaded veggies! I had the red pepper tart which was a special replacing the Wellington on the menu, well what can I say! Except it had been cooked for about 2 hours and twenty minutes instead of 20 minutes!!! I did ask for extra gravy as the food on my plate was so dry I couldn't make enough saliva to chew it! While we were trying to eat, we were asked 3 times if we needed anything, but when the waitress came to collect our plates, she promptly put my husbands plate on top of my plate, with the offending burnt tart! Giving me no chance to complain and didn't ask the obvious question knowing my answer!I was disappointed and shall not be rushing back.

Well what a discovery, Really nice friendly,helpful staff. We had the xmas menu, The starters were excellent, especially the Shrimps with avocado there was loads on the plate, could have been a main...! However the Goats cheese on beetroot was one of the most enjoyable starters Ive had in a while. The main festive course was fine, Veg was good especially the sprouts, often with a set menu the veg is either undercooked or stodgy. The only disappointment was the dessert xmas pud not as good as the rest of the meal, However the meal was well worth the drive, and we will return to explore the usual menu, apparently the "Local Faggots" are recommended..!

We regularly visit here for meals and it is one of our favourite places to go! The view from within the restaurant along with their car park and garden view is spectacular! There is a large variety of choice on their specials boards along with their main menu. We always visit with my elderly grandparents who love the senior citizens menu which is great value for the money along side getting a dessert with it. The staff are always friendly, including the girl that had only started that day. She came across as very accommodating, checking with other staff members anything she was unsure of. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone. A must visit!!

Came across this pub after walking for a few miles looking for a meal. We arrived at 5:20pm; the notice board stated they serve food until 6pm. Finally we had found somewhere! Nope. We were told we were too late. We explained that we had walked a few miles and nowhere else was serving food, but they still refused. 5 minutes later we went back to ask for a telephone directory (another apparent inconvenience) to find they were accepting meal orders from locals. Tourists are clearly not welcome here. Extremely rude, unwelcoming and unfriendly!

There is a lovely view across the valley from the summer house.The food is good plain pub food and pretty good quality.We had lunch here and it was very relaxing.Portions are large.Some very good deals for kids and pensioners, so good for all the family.Nice big car park with plenty of space.

Light, Bright and Airy, The Travellers' Rest is well situated with plenty of car parking and a pleasant outlook of entertaining goats in the field. Took my disabled brother for lunch and the food and service was second to none. Home cooked ham and the best rump steak I've had in ages - cooked to perfection. Very large portions and plenty of choice. They also do a pensioners menu as well as children's.Yes we will be visiting it fairly regularly.

I visited the travellers rest with my wife. It's in a lovely location with beautiful views. My wife ordered a jacket potato and it came out very dry and had been microwaved. The staff did refund the money however this put a downer on the evening out.

First time going into the Travellers' Rest was a few days ago, and a rest was what I needed! After a lovely walk around the Mendips, and on the way home, I decided to pop into the Travellers' Rest for a meal. Was greeted by friendly, coherent bar staff who offered me drinks and a menu upon entry. The senior citizens menu has a plethora of meals available and at a great price! I sat down in the conservatory with an phantasmagoric view of the countryside! Food was great, and very tasty. Lovely staff offered me a dessert which was included and it was lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit here today and I will almost indefinitely be back.

Went to this Pub for lunch it was really lovely hot and very tasty lovely Landlady and beautiful views over the valley would definitely go there again and would recommend .

We stopped after seeing 'senior meal deal ' and was pleasantly surprised, we had main meal , pudding and cold drink for £7.00 . The food was nicely presented and hot but they do stop serving at 2pm. We sat with window view looking over stunning scenery.

Had a fantastic night, food was absolutely lovely couldn't fault anything about it.first time for us at this pub it certainly won't be the last .staff were extremely friendly & welcoming,fantastic views.well worth a visit

3rd time we have been with friends at on a Fri lunchtime and never been let down. Good varied menu and my partner and I chose off the seniors so had extremely good value I can recommend the steak deal at £8:50 inc a sweet scrummy. My friends piri piri chicken off the main menu looked good and as she didn't leave anything must have been good too.

Visited with friends recently for a spot of lunch and a nice drink. We were directed to a table in the conservatory with fantastic views towards the Mendip hills. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced. Will certainly visit again in the not too distant future.

This is the third time I have visited the travellers rest. And i must say the food has been excellent. The staff friendly and helpful great views and outside seating with some goat's in thw field.will I go back sure will very soon with the rest of my family.

We had a Groupon voucher which had been booked for a long time we had provided the security and groupon voucher numbers prior to arrival which were registered. Upon the day of arrival we were told that we could not enter without a printed coupon, the coupon was on my phone as I do not own an actual physical printer . What £30 down the drain......give me my money back you absolute xxxxxxxxers

Food was mixed - really nice garden burger - however the chicken tikka seemed to be chicken in Heinz tomato soup!The staff were very helpful though and replaced it with an all day breakfast which was fine.

Went here on the 30th of April 2016 with my wife and mother in law. It was by chance that someone said how good the food was and very welcoming so we decided to give a go.Food was great very clean and friendly.Have outside area and some playing area for kids. If anyone unstable on there feet or wheelchair users the rear entrance by the outside area.Will I go back of course I will

Stopped here on way to Bristol airport.very friendly efficient service. Food was good and arrived in good time. Very appetizing.

Enticed by good value Groupon voucher, however this was as good as it gets really! Waitresses seemed confused with the voucher- however looking at reviews it doesn't seem like they haven't had previous experience of these. We were shown to our table in a cold, bright conservatory with no one else present- despite this we still had to go to the bar to order the food and had to ask to order drinks and have water for the table. The food was average at best, very basic pub grub. Turning off a few lights and adding a few candles could really enhance the atmosphere. Wouldn't return any time soon.
