Just had a fantastic meal with the whole family. All meals we're cooked beautifully, child's meal was really great value and they even gave our dog food. The staff couldn't do enough for us and was excellent value for money. Will definitely be returning again. Thanks x

I enjoyed meal but had to send my chicken and steak back as steak over cooked and cold but replacement fine. Peas on my mother in laws were cold but they brought some more out. I would return as my partner had hunters chicken which was lovely and mixed grill nice.

Food is nice had fish goujons and a cheese and ham panini and my father had the soup which he enjoyed just long wait at the bar

My husband had tinned braising steak and hard chips and my salad was tiny and my chips were hard too. We were disappointed in our meals, they used to make better meals than this.

Disappointed waited 1 hour 20 minutes for food when it came my steak was more than well done when I asked for medium my husband had steak n chicken combo only no steak was on it no one was at the bar or no one came and asked how our meal was so we just left on good note the home made chips were beautiful wasn't just us that wasn't happy 2 other tables were complaining about the service aswel

Ordered a bbq chicken pizza and a hot and spicy. Both were delicious, more than reasonably priced and definitely hit the spot! Wish I knew about these sooner! Much better than a regular pizza takeaway! Found our new favourite!

Food good but needs a refurbishment

Every time I've walked past it smell's beautiful so me an my partner Went here yesterday for the first time and food was amazing all I can say is I'll be back very soon

First visit was for a friend's wake. Buffet food was good variety with hot chips and chicken nibbles and plenty of sandwiches, pork pie and sausage rolls as well as nibbles. Was à very pleasant place.

So after having 2 great meals of chesse burger and home made chips in the past i went in tonight 2 order the same meal again . I was told there wasnt any beef burgers left but they had lamb burgers so i ordered the lamb burger ........ when it came there was no chesse and also the chips where not home made and also not cooked propeley . Also the lamb burger must of been shy as i could bearley see it . Wasnt worth £8-50 and was hoping the owner was going 2 ask how my meal was !!!!!! I forced it down me and went ..... WILL NEVER GO IN THERE AGAIN

Very long hair in my curry, no one at bar to report, no one asked if meal OK, been lots of times for lunch but feel this place isn't as good as usual

Just had a Christmas dinner,... ALL I can say is It was absolutely first class. Great price, very good portions. Came away VERY satisfied and full. In fact as soon as bookings are open we will be booking again. And the staff were cracking. Very helpful and cheerful. GREAT JUST GREAT......

The meal we had was really excellent all fresh not frozen vegetables the meat just fell apart so tender and delicious. The staff were really friendly too. Couldn't find any faults. Definitely come back again and I live in Nottingham worth the journey.

OK, so came in tonight with a group of friends at 17:00. Thought we had all decided what to eat but was then told they had run out of things on the menu. So we all decided on other items of the menu. Safe to say we was not left disappointed!!! The Christmas pizza was amazing, brasing steak was soooo tender. The beef burger with bacon was fantastic, never seen a burger so big, thick, and tasty! The home made pizzas are fantastic, and the kids meals are more than enough for your little ones. A few of us had a small amount of room for pudding, and the toffee apple cobbler with toffee sauce was amazing!!! Prices are fantastic and not over priced, and do a great selection of beers!!!! Safe to say we all coming back again!!! Thank you so much for the hospitality.

Disappointed! I did return it and got another meal but it’s put me off!

Recently had my Dads wake at TR and was very pleased with the prices per head, quality of the food and overall location in the pub to keep it fairly private. I would recommend it if you’re planning a function. Give them a try.

Popped in today for some lunch for the first time. Only ever had a drink before. But can safely say it does NOT disapoint!!! It may be Marstons but the menu is completely not Marstons. Loads of home made and fresh items to choose from. Not like the normal frozen, microwaved, and deep fried rubbish you get in other pubs. Took my mum for lunch and she had the fresh made pizza. I had the fantastic filled yorkshire pudding with minted lamb, vegetables, and home made chips. The portions was more than enough. Staff where friendly and very welcoming. Will be returning with friends and family very soon. Thank you!!!!

Living in the area I have been here multiple times, tonight I decided to pop in with my sister for some of the worst food ever, I'm not sure if they have changed chefs but I have never ever tasted anything like it, the food was hard and come with things missing when I asked I was told sorry we haven't got none, would of been nice to know that before I ordered, chips just tasted like oil, hard peas, lumpy mash and cold sausages. Will not be popping in again.

Lovely pub, lovely staff, unfortunately did not get what we paid for. It was our wedding, our room was hired out, so had customers at our wedding shouting and screaming at TV football match. Service appalling. Food was incorrect. No appologies no refund disused took our money and ran do not use if more than 8people wanting food. All pre ordered so no reason to be such a shambles. Our Wedding day and did not get our Dance or music, and had to put up with shouting and swearing. But worse was the mistake with Food.. and management didn't show their face

I think this is a fantastic pub a great atmosphere with some great people too the food is always nice and service is fantastic the owners are very welcoming and hospitable. I would recommend going on a Sunday when they have their roast dinners on because they are delightful the one I recommend the braised minted lamb as it is delightful and the owner's have great taste in football

Ordered the minted pie on the special board, was very cold when arrived, sent it back and 5 minutes later after being microwaved it didn’t look at all good so left it

Went here for the first time for a bite to eat and it did not disappoint, had braising steak ,mash and veg . It was really tasty and plenty to fill staff were really friendly and polite thankyou for a lovely experience

We had a wake here a couple of weeks ago, just a room with some tables pushed to the side with chairs, we couldn't even sit all together. The buffet was an absolute insult! We should have had hot food in our package which we queried on the day, the lady behind the bar said you've got pizza... Cold and congealed pizza does not class as hot food! Then they brought us a bowl of discusting greasy chips, hot food complete.... Definitely would not use again and will not be recommending to anyone I would score them a minus if possible We did not get mozzarella sticks or any chicken goujons We had cobs, packet sausage rolls, cocktail sausages and scotch eggs, cold pizza, chips, the deserts and tea and coffee. Definitely not worth £240 I stand by my review!

This is my local and it serves simple home cooked food which we like. It isn't fancy but is reasonably priced and decent portions.

Service was slow due to lack of staff, but the staff that were on were brilliant 😁

I like the travellers, it's cosy and has good area outside but the fact I just got charged £4.05 for a lime and lemonade is a joke.

Had a lovely tasty meal Friday and was just like my own Home cooked 😋

Sunday lunch is fantastic I recommend the minted lamb always eat everything and I’m fussy the staff can’t do enough for you always friendly and polite the only downside was the heating wasn’t on and it was a cold day but Charlie said she would sort that

Just had a Sunday lunch here, must say was fantastic, piping hot had standard roast turkey dinner was enough only thing missing was a Yorkshire pudding 😉 my son had larger roast turkey dinner ate it all no problems. Shall definitely go back, lovely friendly staff place very clean & tidy

First time I've been in here for years, but my son and I called in for a meal and it was phenomenal. Both had steak and it was cooked spot on. Menu said it was 8 Oz but it seemed more like a 10oz. Great value! Won't be long before we are back again 👍

I went for tea last week with a group of friends and it was delicious, the lasagne was yummy and a good selection of beers too 😁 Excellent friendly and helpful service from all. Will definitely go again and maybe stay for bingo and a quiz next time 😃

Had an amazing Sunday lunch at this place today, two had Sunday lunch which was excellent value, other meal was lasagne cheesy chips and garlic bread, all excellent dishes including fish gougons for starters all delicious, staff were friendly right through from start to finish, thoroughly recommend

Fabulous home cooked food and always a warm welcome

Had a mixed grill here today and when the food arrived I told the waitress was over cooked, I ordered the steak rare and it came virtually well done, the pork steak was also overcooked and I left both. I was told the kitchen was closed and there was nothing she could do.

Oględnie mówiąc wredna z niej baba.Bylam uczestnikiem imprezy urodzinowej i serio nigdy nie spotkałam się z takim lekceważeniem i ignorancja jak tutaj. Popisowym numerem było pokrojenie torta. Wspomniana szefowa poharatala go jakimś kozikiem i całość wysypała na tace. Wyglądało to tak jakby spadł jej na podłogę a ona o pozamiatała.Cos pięknego

The function room was not ready for a birthday party. We complained there will be 35 people here and we need more tables they said "you can move them if you need". So our guests arranged seats and moved tables. We paid for tea and coffee but they forgot and charged our guest again! Nobody gave them any money back! Outsiders mix with our guests and ask our DJ to play songs.

Very friendly staff and a nice place

One member of staff was rude, the room was not big enough for the party and disabled people had to stand whilst the meal was served. Service was very late. Yorkshire’s were burnt. No gravy boats used and was poured onto plate for someone who did not have gravy for medical reasons. This was my first visit and my last!

The Travellers is a nice local pub and we had two nice meals here during lockdown. I visited recently and, being temporarily on the wagon, ordered a pint of Pepsi Max. The cost of £3.70 astounded me and cost more than a pint of beer. I know times are hard, but a pint of fizzy water with a bit of flavouring, which probably costs about 10 pence, is taking the mickey.

Been coming to the Travellers Rest for some years now, and we always get the same lovely welcome from Elaine and the team. The food is amazing, from the pie and chips to a jacket potato its always tasty. Nothing is to much trouble for them, we come with my 2 young grandchildren and they are always accommodating to my Grandchildrens fussy needs. Would definitely recommend 👌
