Found this cafe last year and must say best in Hucknall. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly x would not go anywhere else. Even tell the owner off for having holidays as leaves us nowhere else that is that nice x keep up the good work 👏

Was looking for a cafe nearby and this cafe came up so looked at the prices online and decided we would go to it as the prices seemed reasonable and after we finished was charged £20 however it should only have come up to £14.90 according to the menu that we was given and saw online but we paid it without question as we do not like to make a fuss. the morning after called up to ask if water is free or not as we both thought they was overcharging us for the drinks as we didn’t have a drink menu and the owner said yes water is free so we went back in and the menu had changed price’s so there was an incorrect menu at the previous table & online so we order the same as last time and a 2 cokes as we now knew they charged us the right amount while we was waiting for the food the 3 ladies in the back were laughing and joking about my phone call so we confronted them, the owner told us we was weird for calling so we decided not worth arguing with someone so left immediately. Hopefully the owner can reflect on her actions today and turn this into a positive by making the prices correct online and take away the old menu’s as well as correct her attitude and not insult customers next time.

I eat here most Fridays. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere!

Great little place, a real homely feel inside which suits the area. The lady behind the counter was very attentive to the other customers needs and whilst making my coffee. I can tell that they take the job seriously and care about their craft at the cafe.

Just had a beautiful full english breakfast. I've now been here 3 times, and each time, the food has been spot on, i would say its the best breakfast in hucknall

I come here regularly to meet up with friends every Wednesday. Each and every customer is made to feel welcome by Deborah and her assistant, Paula,which is why there are so many regulars. All the food is cooked fresh to order, with a good selection to choose from on the menu. The breakfasts are among the best items, with locally sourced ingredients., although I haven't yet tried the roast, which I have heard is really tasty. Both ladies ensure that the premises are kept very clean and follow all hygiene safety procedures.

I had a disappointing experience at this cafe when I asked the staff to swap an item on the menu to accommodate my food allergies. They refused, claiming that it would be too confusing. I found this response to be a bit ridiculous, as people with dietary restrictions should not have to suffer just because the staff find it inconvenient. I ended up cancelling my order and giving my business to a different restaurant that was more accommodating to my needs. UPDATE: It is simply untrue based on the owners response that we did not mention our food allergies, additionally, had they mentioned that the items could be ordered, indiviudllay, we would have done that but again that was not mentioned, instead, the call taker mentioned that it would be too confusing to swap items around. FURTHER UPDATE: Instead of arguing with customers over google reviews, try and improve customer service and you won’t have this kind of feedback.

What a gorgeous cafe! Really took time to go through the menu with me after they asked if I had any allergies. Food was delicious and the service was really good. Would definitely come back here again.

Asked for a bacon cob. One slice of bacon. Rang up to complain. The women was possibly the rudest ever. Didn't care one bit.

Absolutely appawling food and service. The woman served a soggy water logged old jacket potato with some cheap horrible beans and cheese that wouldnt melt. When i told her i didnt like it. She put up a resistance , refused to negotiate a refund or any other agreement. An absolutely horrible woman and a disgusting establishment. I would advise anyone and everyone togo next door to food express cob shop . Their service was splendid

Today we had a group of 6 go into the cafe as we wanted to support a local business. On entrance we were asked to seat and speedy be would come over and take our order. 20 mins later no one appeared and when we seen a person get served straight away at the till we decided to go somewhere else. Such a shame.

Ordered for delivery, it came cold so I called the shop to be told by a rude staff member it's not there fault and they can't replace it , terrible customer service and we wouldn't be ordering again.

Looks clean the food was ok but the waiting time was too long the prices were a bit expensive for a cafe of this kind.The staff polite and professional Thank you for your reply I travel around quite a lot visiting a lot cafés and I probably gave you a miss service the waiting time was uncomfortable but not knowing your cafe it was a mistake for me to think otherwise I can see you have tried to raise the bar.

What an absolute treat! We ordered a full breakfast for delivery from Hucknall Cafe and it absolutely exceeded expectations. Everything was perfect cooked and arrived nice and warm. We found out about their delivery service when the owner responded to a trolls message on a hucknall Facebook group. It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to support a small business with such a clearly compassionate owner. We will definitely be back for more! Thanks again.

£6.50 what's not to like. Best breakfast in Hucknall by far and I've tried everywhere. The coffee is excellent as well you can keep your hi street chains support local and let's revive the high street

Hucknalls hidden delight! What a little gem of a cafe this is. Visited today had a small breakfast added black pudding to it and got toast and a mug of tea all for £4.50! Freshly cooked to order as well! A lovely clean establishment pleasantly decorated and condiments plus utensils on the tables, they even have a rack with newspapers up on the wall, I think you’re supposed to read whilst you wait for your breakfast but it arrived so fast I wouldn’t have had time to read the paper! The service is quick and friendly the menu is not overly complicated and the prices are very reasonable. Eating food off of nice plates and drinking tea from pristine mugs makes this eatery as far removed from the greasy spoon cafe as one can get. Well worth seeking out and paying them a visit if you’re in Hucknall. UPDATE Feb 5th the roast dinners are absolutely wonderful, tasty, well presented just like a home cooked meal I doubt there’s any eatery in Hucknall with comparable food on offer with this taste and quality! Update August 19 2020 love the new decor absolutely beautiful alas the same could not be said for the food the beef was like shoe leather 😔

This is a lovely little cafe, I went here to meet a friend for lunch. It was a completely random choice as we wanted to go somewhere new. After my friend chose the place I looked them up online and found that they have good reviews. There isn't any parking directly outside but there are plenty of local car parks within a short walking distance. The storefront was appealing and clean, inside was laid out nicely with plenty of seating. To the right is the counter and kitchen area, the toilets are at the back of the cafe. Staff are friendly and polite, prices are reasonable and the food was good. We had a nice lunch and would go back again in the future.

Almost gave up after finding nowhere worth visiting on the high street, stumbled upon this place, Nice Modern Clean Interior, Friendly service, Great ingredients and very well made food. Prices are great too. Found my new local cafe.

I had an omelette which was fine but my wife called it a little bit oily. The chips were definitely oily. I am going for *** to be fair.

Popped in to the cafe on Saturday 7th July 2018 as it was the first cafe I came across after getting off the tram. Was greeted and welcomed by a lady on entry and ordered a breakfast with a cup of coffee and a can of pop. The Breakfast was very good value and was excellent. If in the area again I would pop in

Me and my young family go here all the time, mainly because of the amazing staff who are all so friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble but also because the value for money is brilliant, the cleanliness is beyond impeccable and the food is so tasty.. even when my 1 year blitzes the place with her food and my 5 year year old nicknames the owner “Brenda” we have never had a scowl, grimace or even a raised eyebrow! Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing prices!! Pretty much tried everything on the menus and I have to say I’ve not tried anything I don’t like. My favourite is the slimmer options as I am following a slimming world diet and this means I am able to stick to plan as much as possible. Thanks to the owners for being so thoughtful. Keep up the good work :)

I’m new to the area and this cafe is amazing! We won’t go anywhere else! My oldest son suffers from social anxiety and we rarely get to eat out because of this. However there is something about this cafe and it’s warm welcome that puts him right at ease. The staff are lovely and friendly and even remembers not to put mushrooms on his fry that he always orders! Freshly cooked food too which is a bonus and it is amazing! Prices are fab and they offer so much choice for from breakfast to Panini’s to roast dinners to homemade cakes. Can’t recommend enough.

Thought we would try a friendly local cafe instead of supporting bigger food chains! I will never return as the staff extremely rude with zero hospitality and people skills I have never been spoken in a rude manner and have never had food served in a angry manner I think they need to go on a course in how to treat cuatomers, looks like the big food companies no how to treat their customers and serve coustomers with a smile instead of a scowl
