Robbing punters - they add a service charge on everything over £20 (which the bar staff confirmed as being standard policy) even after you select no tip on the card machine when simply ordering at the bar. Outrageous. Unless I asked for the receipt I would not have been aware. No prior notice and completely unacceptable.

Great place for a burger and chips nice atmosphere. Quieter than expected for a Friday evening.

We celebrated our wedding here in September! Misha, Lydia and their team were brilliant! They helped us choose food and pre-order drinks beforehand, and were very flexible about how we wanted the evening to go as we wanted something more informal than a sit down dinner. I’d definitely recommend it as a venue for a wedding celebration or other similar event!

The staff is friendly and professional, excellent choice of spirits and cocktails. I’ll definitely be back next time.

I decided to go here to meet my friends for dinner, it was our first time here and we were all impressed. It was all amazing from the decor to the service and food. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table, the food was beyond expectations and Stefan went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. I'll definitely be back for those amazing kebabs with my team!

I went for a retirement celebration (group of 11), the food was delicious but took over an hour to arrive. My only true issue was the lack of light within the place.

Great venue with a buzzing atmosphere! I had the Spicey Margarita which was delish and we shared a bottle of prosecco. Food was great, burgers were super Juicy!

Arrived for dinner and received a very warm welcome and were seated quickly. Ordered a negroni each- delicious. We shared the Camembert to start and then shared both mains, the Thai red prawn kebab and a cheese burger everything was to a high standard. A lovely experience, staff were quick, friendly and knowledgeable about menu and drinks.

Great atmosphere! It was very busy however we have got served straight away. Definitely coming back soon.

Good atmosphere, but hit and miss on the food (table of 6). Don't expect coconut in your coconut rice either. If I had known, I would have ordered differently. Apparently, this info will be passed on 🤷‍♀️

Really enjoyed my visit. Had one of their burgers and was left really full and satisfied by it -- super juicy, super flavourful, perfect portion size. Staff were friendly, kind, and attentive, accommodating for a slight customisation I wanted to make with the food without any issue :) And the venue itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. Will be back!

It was lovely place, feels like a renewed time capsule - I don’t mean that in a bad way. The menu had a variety of options from kebabs, to burgers and salads. Not where you’d go in looking for flavours but there’ll be something for everyone

Beautiful pub. Love the atmosphere and decor. We were so amazed by the decor that we forgot to take pictures! The cocktails are absolutely perfect. The margarita is on point The food is fine. But, I wouldn't go for food. Maybe for starters or bits to share with drinks

I went at lunchtime with a colleague so we were limited to time and only had a main course. We both had the chilli chicken hanging kebabs and they were delicious. The staff were welcoming and attentive and brought the bill quickly when we explained that we had to get back to work. Will definitely be back !

The Trading House is an all time favourite place to have drinks and food after work. This historic venue has been beautifully preserved with a quirky twist. It's cosy and intimate with plenty of space to either sit or stand. What makes The Trading House very special and different from the other places in the City, is the staff. They are all absolutely wonderful, efficient and friendly in particular I must mention Henry, Angelo and Stefan, always a welcoming smile and warm greeting. A big thank you for always making our time with you special. If you're in the City, add this to your places to have a drink or a bite to eat - enjoy:-)

Overall was ok. Not going to recommend someone goes out of their way to visit. Beer was cold, food didn't kill us, and it was cosy enough. Oddly quiet for a Friday night though. Calamari & sticky toffee pudding was alright, but the creme fraiche in the sweet chilli sauce reeks of culinary desperation

Really beautiful pub. Definitely worth a visit! We had our work Christmas party here and found it to be a great venue. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was decent, some good vegan options. Would definitely come back again.

My first impression wasn't great. Even though the restaurant/bar is housed in an old bank building, which is quite large, it was crammed full of people and we found a niche while we were waiting to be seated for dinner. Whilst there, we were being pushed and shoved as people struggled to get through to other parts of the venue. The decor was imperial, pompous, and ostentatious, and decorated with the heads of animals. Whilst the idea of an African theme is appealing, the remains of the trophy-hunted animals were not. I was glad when we were finally able to be seated. Space was still very tight and it was difficult to get past other peoples' chairs without everyone holding their breath, pulling their chairs as close to the table as possible, to let people pass. Then came the surprise. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They were rushing back'n'forth to get dinner for everyone served quickly. It almost appeared as a ballet as they swiftly circumvented each other carrying plates and trays, without a single mishap. And the food!! This was the best Vegan Christmast dinner I've had that I didn't have to cook myself! Not only that. For the first time since I can remember, I had a 3-course restaurant meal that was outstanding. Even though I was completely full up from the soup and the main course (which I just couldn't finish...) I tried the Vegan lemon pie dessert and was blown away! I almost walked into the kitchen to shake the Chef's hand, thank him or her profusely, and to ask for the recipe!! Almost. I was so excited that the thought occurred to me that I may overwhelm him or her. So, instead, I decided to write this review and sing the Chef's praises. He/she was not only imaginative but highly skilled. Kudos, and my gratitude, for an exquisite meal!

We came in as a large group for a Christmas Party during the week. The bar is busy and lively with a great atmosphere, and our group was situated on the private hire section on a mezzanine floor, with our own bar to order from. Service was fantastic, and the drinks & food provided were excellent and great quality. The bartender, Henry, was amazing and overall it was a fantastic night; I'd definitely come again!

Nice cocktails. Very loud depending what kind of night you’re looking for, but a buzzy atmosphere and great decor. Lovely service but food took a while and the hanging kebabs were nothing special, kind of gimmicky.

Didn't eat here was just in for after work drinks. Nice, warm, friendly and welcoming. Great wine!

Understand that doing vegan food covers veggies as well, but disappointed that the haloumi kebab has gone from the menu - it was the only reason our veggie friend chose the venue. Nevertheless, a lovely evening with lovely staff.

Excellent bar and restaurant, classy atmosphere. We all had the pot pies which were super! There was live music the evening we went which was too loud for us old folks. However, the musician was fantastic and people were having fun!

Beautiful looking restaurant. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas and tartar sauce. The chips were good, but there was more batter than fish, quite disappointing. Service was good. Drinks were good, but I like my gin in a balloon glass and not a tall glass.

A very classy British bar & restaurant. The fish and chips we had probably was one of the best we had in London. The ambience is very classic and the service is highly professional. The wood panelling across the restaurant gives it a beautiful old charm. Will visit again.

I booked this venue for colleagues and clients to have drinks adn dinner. The feedback I received from them was to "pass on their compliments to the venue for the lovely venue and ambience, your service was fab, you looked after us so well and the food was lovely.

Nobody came to take our order. We had to ask for someone to come after 20 minutes. Our server was most likely inebriated as she had completely forgotten what our order was and came back to ask the same thing again. Our food took 25 minutes to arrive.

Service Top, Ambiente top, victorianischer Stil der sehr gefällt, Live music auch. 4 Sterne deshalb weil der Espresso unglaublich sauer ist und das Herren-WC überflutet war. Wir kommen jedoch sehr gerne wieder!!! Empfehlung definitiv!

Amazing meal, came with my family for a late afternoon lunch, the venue is beautiful, spotlessly clean and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the Camembert and the Hot board both stand out dishes. Micha and her team were amazing and so attentive. Cant wait to return again soon

BEWARE!! VERY SNEAKY! I paid for 2 cocktails at the bar and clicked the “0 tip” option when it came up. The price then automatically added on 12.5% so they already add on this service charge before asking if you want to pay more. When I raised this with the Barman he said it was a known problem and they have raised it with head office but it hasn’t been fixed. He did offer me a refund for the tip. Very sneaky system though, probably designed to catch out drunk punters.

Good food but poorly staffed restaurant, with one of them being frustrated enough to respond to a very polite and friendly request with totally snarky and uncalled for response. Had arranged a corporate lunch for 20 people in my team and had pre-ordered food, but the service was extremely slow. Not going back again.

I know it was a Friday night in London. But the atmsphere was pretty poor. Staff were not interested, really. But we made the most of it as this place is an amazing place.

I ve been in trading house today and i've jad such a beautiful time. The people there was amazing, the bartenders were super polite and kind, trying to satisfy my requets and making sure i was not left without attention. I had a Really good impression from this place, especially the efficency of the managers, the two young and lovely ladies and the awesome italian guy, which were capable to make my day looking wonderful. I really racommend the trading house to who would love to spend some nice and warming time with partner or friends and enjoy the varieties of drinks and food along with live music and good vibes.

I had a lovely experience at this restaurant with a great historical interior design that is very well-hidden from the outside. I was running late for ~20 minutes for my reservation but they still kindly made my reservation valid. Staff was very friendly and the food was great to look at as well as delicious (I was especially fond of the cookie dough oreo!). Would love to come back again!
