Taylor Walker in City of London, Westminster

This pub is perfect if you are visit the British museum. It is right opposite the museum and you can eat here after visiting the museum. The food is like in all pubs, I decided to eat Fish and Chips, the traditional meal English and were just as I remembered, bland (yet when I return to London again ask sure).

Abbiamo pranzato due volte in due diversi locali della catena: una volta con fish and chips, l'altra con hamburger: buone le materie prime e buona la preparazione, servizio rapido e cortese al tavolo, previa ordinazione al banco. Ottime le birre alla spina. Tutto ad un prezzo competitivo, rispetto a quelli mediamente praticati a Londra. Frequentato in larga parte da inglesi e, pertanto, bisogna adattarsi ad un contesto diverso, ma proprio per questo, è stata una interessante esperienza di viaggio, che consiglio.

Tres beau cadre avec tout en bois. Plein de biere a la pression. Belle carte (Fish and chips tres bon). Il faut commander au bar puis on est livre a table.

Didn't care for the food or prices. Expected better fish and chips but it was just marginal. Would not return based on this experience. Sounds like others have had a better experience. Us, not so much.

We wanted to go to a place around the corner but they were having work on the kitchen, so we we ended up stopping here. The good wasn't brilliant, just reheated. We ordered burritos which arrived with a big empty bowl on the plate, containing nothing but a spider. We questioned the the bar man about it and he was quite rude. Apparently they use the bowl so they can stack the plates??? The bar man was horrible and the service was super slow. I certainly would go back?

I visited London on a quick layover and I made my way to Taylor Walker for a quick lunch. i was meeting a friend and we stumbled upon Taylor Walker. The beer was good and the fish and chips even better. I would recommend to anyone looking for mid-range prices for quality food.

I had just arrived from the US and was catching up with my son. we were wandering down Kensington High Street and walked past the this pub. It is what I would call a modern version of an English Classic. There was a reasonable selection of beers and the food selection was fine.

Had a lovely meal here yesterday with the family. Excellent in every way. great food and great price. Drinks all ok, no issues - would come again. 10/10 all ok with kids as well and not tooo busy. Thanks.

Food just reheated, not even cooked, tasteless, definitely too expensive for what they offer...the manager after I told him that some ingredients were missed from my hamburger and that everything was cold, sadly offer me some ring onion, probably lefted from other costumer, insted give me another hamburger...just unbelievable... Sporco, immangiabile e solo riscaldato, dei tre piatti che abbiamo ordinato, nessuno aveva niente di fresco all'interno; da evitare assolutamente

Tipico Pub Londinese.Mangiato fish and chips e pie. Porzioni molto abbondanti, ampia scelta e birra molto buone Camerieri gentili e molto disponibili.

Fomos na filial perto da Estação Victoria, pub cheio, nas TVs um jogaço do Real Madrid x Barcelona! Todo mundo torcendo! Como num típico pub, fizemos nosso pedidos no balcão e sentamos numa mesa. Super atenciosos! Excelente Ale é um "fish and chip" muito bem servido. Recomendo!

Ma in realtà non è nulla di speciale.... le porzioni sono medie... il fish and chips troppo cotto.... tutto senza sale...... Il servizio è un pò carente.... e troppo caotico.

Estive na unidade do Taylor Walker localizada próximo a Trafalgar Square. O ambiente é aconchegante mas o atendimento é péssimo. As atendentes não vem a mesa nem que você implore ainda que seja para esclarecer que neste pub você tem que pagar antes. Eu estive em outros pubs, sentei até no balcão e paguei no final. Mas não é este o problema. A questão é a falta de cordialidade no atendimento. Funcionárias mal humoradas e que te ignoram. O peixe (fish and chips)que pedi veio encharcado. Não recomendo e não pretendo voltar.

Good food. Large pub. Good service. I have had a good lunch with a nice blond beer here. Comfortable, large, some TV's on the wall but not too Many.

Noi ci siamo trovati molto bene, tipico e raffinato pub inglese, al piano inferiore in genere si beve solamente o quasi, a quello superiore si mangia, ottimo fish & chips, anche la carne molto buona così come la birra.. manco a dirlo! Consigliato

C'est par hasard que nous avons poussé la porte de ce pub, situé à knightsbridge.Ambiance typique pour un samedi soir avec des londonniens agréables mais un peu bruyants... après quelques pintes de bière.Nous vous pris l'Ultimate fish and chip's , excellent et très copieux, nos 2 ados, le burger bacon avec coca et jus de pomme. Rajoutés pour nous 2 pintes de bière 1730 et le tout pour 65 livres, très correct.À faire le week-end d'Halloween, les Londonniens viennent presque tous déguisés.

Had a meal in the pub in Gloucester Road. It was busy but the staff were coping admirably. The beer was good and the pie was fantastic. Would return again just for another pie! Good atmosphere.

Sono stato in questo locale dopo aver cercato un pub che offriva anche il Sunday Roast. Una volta trovato questo pub abbiamo deciso di entrare qui. Il pub e molto bello, con un bellissimo arredamento e una bellissima vista. Abbiamo ordinato una pie di pasta sfoglia con pollo e funghi buona ma non la mia preferita accompagnata da patatine fritte buone ma senza sale. Poi la shepperd's pie con stinco di agnello buonissima e un Sunday roast però con agnello buono ma non eccellente, l arrosto era un po' troppo duro. Purtroppo il manzo era finito. Buone le birre con vasta scelta. Prezzo onesto.

久しぶりのロンドンだったので、久しぶりにフィッシュ＆チップスが食べたくなって近くにあった店に入りました。フィッシュはいつもながらのように大きかったのですが、チップスの量はさほどでもなくきちんと食べられました。ソースが二つ付いてきて、一つはカレーソースでこれが美味しい。中は伝統的なイギリス・パブといった雰囲気で楽しめます。店員の愛想もいいです。

This pub was recommended by the concierge in our hotel - it's about 2 blocks away. I'm not sure I fully appreciate the nuanced difference between Irish and English fish and chips, but this was a pretty good batch. The beers ended up costing more than I expected, but overall this is a pretty good place if you're in the area.

Nice place to stop after Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace - it's located at the end of the park and next to Trafalgar Square. Most pubs only have stools, but there are many comfortable chairs and nooks for nice lunch. Very large place and good selection of food.

Had a beef burger here together with my friend. However, it was just okay or taste like an average burger. Nothing special but the restaurant has a nice decor. Not that I expected for a GBP10 worth.

Il servizio è ridotto all'osso per il prezzo del posto, devi ordinare cibo e alcolici al bancone e pagare subito. Il pane non è male, la carne e le patatine abbastanza buoni. Velocità nel portare il cibo nella media, non veloce ma nemmeno troppo lenta. Locale molto bello esteticamente è dotato di diverse televisioni per le partite, con ottimo audio.

Prezzi altini ma locale carino. Abbiamo preso 3 piatti tipici. Io ho preso il classico fish & chips ma il pesce era stato un po' sbruciacchiato durante la frittura, quando mi è stato chiesto se andava tutto bene ho fatto presente l'inconveniente e mi è stato portato un pesce cotto bene. Quindi molto cortesi e professionali. Anche i piatti con hamburgers sono niente male.

Η αλήθεια είναι ότι η αγγλική κουζίνα δεν έχει και πολλά να προσφέρει. Όμως ενώ βρεθήκαμε εκεί τυχαία και κουρασμένοι από την περιπλάνηση η έκπληξη ήταν πολύ ευχάριστη. Ωραίο περιβάλλον, καθαρό, ευγενικοί και εξυπηρετικοί υπάλληλοι και κυρίως καλό φαγητό. Δοκιμάσαμε τα fish and chips και οι μερίδες μεγάλες και πραγματικά νόστιμες με σημαντική διαφορά από άλλες pub.

Avendo meno di un'oretta dall'inizio del Musical American Idiot in un teatro adiacente, ci siamo buttati in questo pub, classico English pub per mangiare qualcosa. Abbiamo optato per bere due Cidri leggeri ma gustosi e un classico piatto che racchiudeva tutte le pietanze tradizionali inglesi: fish and chips, pudding, patatine fritte, torino ripieno di carne e piccolo hamburger. Tutto buono, servizio abbastanza veloce in una atmosfera tipicamente British. Da tornarci per provare le birre!!

Classico pub Inglese con grande varietà di birre alla spina. Il cibo con i classici Fish&Chips e altri piatti tipici da pub. Le porzioni sono molto generose ed i prezzi accessibili considerando che siamo a Londra.Le ordinazioni vanno sempre fatte al banco anche quando si vuole mangiare e pagare sul momento.

Havde glædet os til en ekstra ordinær god "Fish and Chips" men vi blev fælt skuffet, da det overhovedet ikke var noget specielt, men stort set magen til hvad man får i et hvert gadekøkken, blot væsentligt dyre. Den ene stjerne gives for den trods alt ordinære indretning af stedet.

Walking towards the pickup point for Golden tours we came across this pub and dropped in for a quick bite. A chicken burger and a pub burger with chips topped us up and off we went.

I've eaten at two locations of this chain of restaurants that are peppered all throughout London. Attentive service at the first location near Trafalgar Square but the full English breakfast was merely okay. The restaurant clearly got a lot of business from your dusts judging by the practiced disinterest of the waitress' questions. To her credit, she got the details of the order correct.My second visit to this chain was at The Marlsborough Head near Marble Arch. Service was non-existent with the waitress neglecting to clear and clean my table. The fish and chips was quite possibly the blandest I've ever had. The batter on the cod had no flavour while the chips were soggy. This was an unexpected disappointment from the land of fish and chips.

Here you can have the best fish and chips you've ever tried. The location is perfect - Trafalgar Square - the service is excelente and the environment is enjoyable. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I were taking a day trip to London. We were wondering around in the cold and we were hungry. We stopped in and we had to wait for a few minutes before sat down and ordered. We had really good food and got to warm up for a bit.

The Victoria restaurant is typical British pub/reataurant with domestic beer, great UK food and exciting atmosphere. The stuff is very kind and polite and can advice to you, what is the best for eating or drinking. The fish&chips is the best here and if we go to London one more time I will 100% eat this food one more time here. Recomend to visit and eat here.

Me and my wife dropped in as the weather was a little wet. This pub has a good selection of beers and ciders but as with all pubs in London it's a wee bit pricey. Try the Frontier as it's not a bad pint.

We (I my wife and teenage daughter) had checked out of the hotel and were hungry before the trip to the airport.As we had not visited a pub previously during our stay in London we popped in to Taylor Walker, situated around the corner of the hotel. The outside was inviting and the menu looked to fit our needs. On the inside it was as expected, a classic pub (at least what I (a tourist) believe a pub should look like). I asked at the bar if food was served (it was kind of empty at the moment) and was told to grab any table and they will come with the menu. When we had decided what to eat, we placed our order at the bar.The drinks and food was served at the table.The food was totally okay (the baked potatoes was a bit small, but otherwise fine).

Good outside area. I do have an issue with lots of stairs to the toilets and fully appreciate old buildings. Would visit again

Had time to kill so grabbed an outside table with a pint of Peroni (on tap). Great to sit there and people watch. Real busy pub but served quickly.

We have eaten at his Pub many times over the years; and every time was been excellent. You must order at the bar, but the food is served. The fish and chips are great, the beer selection good, and they do have wine. The mood is the Pub is fun and friendly. We will go again on our next trip to London.

One of us wanted a burger so we went to Taylor Walker. The burger was amazing. The wait staff was very friendly. The price was really good also. 3 of us and the bill was under 40 pounds.

This is a large inviting place near Trafalgar Square. They have a large selection of beers and a great selection of top-shelf gin. Their meat pies are delicious. Note, you order (and pay for) everything at the bar.

The Taylor Walker restaurant chain is a shame in comparison to the original glory of english pubs, especially compared to any other pub in London.These are mostly turist traps, with high prices and low quality food. As a matter of fact you can find mostly tourist inside, especially people coming to London for the first time. This happens because there is one taylor walker almost every corner, in the perfect style of any restaraunt chain...They get you by sheer number and not by quality standards.The service is regular anyway and the places are looking as decent pubs.The beers are fine, though a few selection of good ones and more common beers you can find anywhere outside England.

Always enjoy experiencing something new and different. Ordering your food at the bar was new and unique, not in a bad way just different. Friendly patrons and staff.The Steak and Ale pie was delicious.The fish and chips I would not recommend -- the batter was delicious the fish tasteless

We were very happy with the quality of the fish and chips, the tomato soup and he lamb shank pie. We had good ale - strawberry and lime - recommended by the bar. A great pub experience and will definitely be back.

Tras un largo día de turismo rematado con la visita al British Museum, decidimos hacer una parada en este típico pub. El local es pintoresco y acogedor, aunque el servicio y el trato son mejorables. Hay que ir a la barra a pedir, e incluso tuvo que recoger yo los vasos y las tazas de la mesa para hacerme hueco, dejándolas en la barra. Los baños podrían tener una sala propia en el Museo Británico, supongo que por eso no los renuevan.

Came on a Friday night, and it was packed with the locals. Good selection of ale and beer, but it's really the ambiance to bask in. The Ultimate Fish & Chip is decent, but go for the Lamb Shank Shepherd's pie for a different British taste; it's quite good here

My wife and daughter wanted to try "British" food so we dropped in here Loud, noisy crowd which we expected as it was St. Party's day. The ladies had the meat pie and the chicken pie while I had fish and chips. My fish and chips were very bland and the peas were tasteless. The ladies were more generous in their reviews of the pies finding them good and tasty. Service was timely and we received what we ordered. Prices were around 15 pounds a plate. I would not want to go back.

45 minutes wait for 2 Burgers. The waiters absolutely did not care about us. Did not recommend that place at all. Avoid it!

Ci sembrava il tipico pub inglese e non siamo rimasti delusi.Abbiamo preso un piatto di assaggi misti. Con due tortini di carne, due mini hamburger e due pezzi di pesce e le patate fritte come contorno. Tutto molto buono, porzioni abbondanti (con quel piatto abbiamo mangiato in due). Bevuto un'ottima birra.E abbiamo assaggiato una buonissima apple pie, una fetta gigante con un mucchio di mele e una buonissima salsa alla vaniglia.atmosfera da pub inglese, ci siamo trovati molto bene. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

Le hasard a fait que nous avons poussé la porte de ce pub chaleureux. Nous avons même décidé d'y manger à l'étage. La carte était assez vaste et le choix assez commun avec l'ensemble des repas proposés ailleurs.Néanmoins, nous n'avons pas été déçus. L'accueil était aussi très agréable.

Nous y sommes rentrés au hasard d'une visite à la national gallérie et très bonne surprise. Personnel agréable et parlant plusieurs langues. Très bon moment.

We came to this place about 5 years ago and landed in it by accident again in January. We've loved it both times. It's a pub. So it's loud and crowded. But the food is really really good. And it is a lot more of a welcoming place for families than the other pubs we tried to gain entry to as we walked looking for a place to eat.

Realmente "the great british pub food". O "fish & chips" é maravilhoso e fresquinho. Recomendo para um almoço após visitar o Palácio de Buckingham. Vale a pena!!! De sobremesa, a torta de maçã quente, com sorvete, é demais!!!

Entre amis, nous cherchions un pub ou manger vite et bien...Le cadre typique est bien là, la nourriture n'est pas extraordinaire mais cela reste correct. Les burgers sont bon mais un peu limite en quantité. Le service est un peu long...par contre attention, les commandes se passent au bar.Bon rapport qualité prix par rapport à la situation du pub qui est a deux pas d'Oxford street(4personnes : plat + boisson 63 £)

Posto molto bello ma NO GRAZIE. Sistema molto inusuale ( si ordina al bancone ognuno per se ) ma nessuno te ne mette al corrente quando ti fanno sedere al tavolo. Se lo chiedi ti rispondono quasi male e hanno facce sfacciate ( a parte una cameriera biondina che ogni tanto sorride ). Cibo anche accettabile ma le cameriere non ti guardano in faccia nemmeno se ti sbracci o le chiami ad alta voce ( ti sentono tutte le persone presenti in sala ma lei/loro nemmeno alza/alzano la testa, o peggio, fanno apposta ).Quindi, no, non ci tornerei e non lo consiglio. Ci sono tanti ma tanti pub migliori in questa stupenda città. Addio :)

I can recommend this pub, they have a reasonable selection of wines, a lot of whisky, good coffee and it is in fact possible to enjoy a conversation in a low tone (yes, I'm showing my age). I do suspect they have beer as well ;-).

Nous avons testé cet établissement le matin, le midi et le doit ! Un endroit sympathique, vivant, proposant de bons petits plats typiques, sans chichis.Le Full English Breakfast est top ! Vous avez du choix et c'est copieux !Nous y avons découvert un nouveau cidre, l'essayer c'est l'adopter !Bref, un endroit bien sympas pour une pause So british !!

Tipico pub inglese, molto elegante e con personale gentile e molto disponibile. I panini con gli hamburger gustosi e iperfarciti, ma le patatine vengono servite a parte. Come contorno servono anelli di cipolla. Con 40 pound riesci a mangiare due panini, patatine e bere due boccali di birra. Unica pecca i 25 minuti di attesa, anche se sotto sollecitazione siamo riusciti a guadagnare un po' di tempo.

Niché proche de westiminster, Nous nous attendions à trouver que des restaurants dit : attrape touristes, mais ce pub, assez classique , nous as agréablement surpris,Deux burgers, une pinte de bière : 17£.Le burger était bon, viande un peu cuite mais bon..

Ambiance agréable mais cuisine horrible et très cher steak inmangeable car plein de nerf tomate soit disant grillée crue et frite pas assez cuite petit pois sans saveur. ..jai fait part de ce ces remarques au serveur qie ca n'a pas eu lait demouvoir...donc a oublier pour manger mais pourquoi pas pour boire un verre

大英博物館見学後立ち寄った。(ツアーに入っていた）昼食は定番のフィッシュ&チップス。魚は何か定かでは無かったが白身でからっと揚がり美味しかった。ビールとも良く合っていた。店内は少々くらいが古のロンドンを感じさせてくれる。パイプをくゆらせる老紳士がよく似合いそう。今は室内禁煙！だが。入り口もなかなか良い。

Just dropped in during a London visit to eat something in a rainy Saturday afternoon. It gives the feel of a real British pub you see in the films. Had to wait a bit more than expected for two burgers (about 25 minutes), but during the stay we had the pleasure to experiment British lifestyle of dropping in into a central pub for an afternoon ale and some stories about the week, it was a nice experience. Prices are average, food is quite good actually which compensates the long wait for it.

El local tiene buen ambiente y sigue la misma linea de tener que ir a pedir a la barra tanto la bebida como la comida. Los platos son abundantes pero como todo en Londres caros.. Probamos el Fish&Chips que no estaba mal y las patatas con chesar y bacon que no valian nada la pena..

Ob das Essen traditionell British ist, kann ich nicht sagen. Mein Wagyu Burger war auf jeden fall gut oder normal. Das Fleisch war saftig. Salat ohne Dressing ist für mich ungewöhnlich.

I found this place after getting lost in the city. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I loved the ambiance and best of all: the fish and chips was amazing!

O pub estava bem cheio e tinhamos que fazer o pedido no balcao, o que tornava um pouco complicado, pois nao havia muita gente servindo, mas mesmo assim, nada como um British Pub original. A quantidade de comida foi suficiente para 2 pessoas e o valor não era alto.

Me gusto este Pub, ubicado cerca de National Gallery.Buen clima, es amplio, y hay buen lugar para comer.La comida es muy gustosa ,tipica britanica.Precios razonables y el servicio es amable. Es un pub antiguo, de 1730. El decorado interior es interesante.

-mixed up orders and slow service,-watching a waitress try to service a bar and don't never service all on her own,-having to use the toilet stall with no lock as there is no toilet paper in the other five,The food was good, but nothing more special than every other Gastro pub.
