Very difficult to describe just how bad the service was here. 25-30mins to order drinks. After an hour and incorrect drinks being delivered twice it started to become quite comical….especially as the waitress wasn’t able to tell us what the drinks were she was trying to leave on the table. We left after having to ask for the bill 4 times, having the incorrect bill delivered twice and ultimately loosing our sense of humour about the whole situation. Apparently they do food. Given the drinks experience I’d suggest ordering 3-4 weeks in advance.

Shocking service, an hour to get a drink, staff walking around doing nothing, and one drink was wrong twice and didn't even arrive.

Came in and was able to sit down very quickly. Waited for (25) minutes to order drinks, not even food, drinks. Got up and left after this ridiculous wait. There were only two other tables. The stars are for the clean facility, and polite receptionist upon entry. If this was not the case, it would be a zero star review.

In this wonderful hotel are so many great places! The bar is fine designed. The service is friendly and good.Especially the mixed drinks are great. What a fine variety of cool drinks!

I have stayed at this hotel several times since it opened and at last they have corrected the one missing element. The location and rooms have always been fabulous but like all hotels staff are crucial. This visit the whole meet and greet, doormen, concierge, reception staff were absolutely fantastic. Engaging, helpful and cheerful. The radio bar still needs a bit and should remember clients are often residents not people who have just wandered in.

The beautiful interior and calm atmosphere make for a perfect location for relaxing business meetings. The staff is generally attentive and friendly.

Pleasant enough area close to some of the theatres. Comfortable seating in a somewhat weird architectural context. Be prepared to pay central London prices for your drinks as would be expected in this area.

Great service, atmosphere and location if you want to meet friends before having dinner or seeing a show. Or I’ve also had coffee throughout the day. It’s centrally located with a wide variety to choose from. The seating areas are private and spaced out so you can chat as much as you like without being overheard. The decoration is so modern and contemporary, it’s the place to be seen....

Lovely staff receptionists but can be loud as you are on the strand.

In this day and age the empahsis should encompass inclusion for all. Disabled facilities as usual squeaky clean and impractical. Lobby bar seating only suitable for pigmies. Too low and not comfortable at all. Asthetically acceptable on the eye. Once sat if you have bad knees almost impossible to get out. Yet another interior designer scores at discrimination and impracticality.

I feel that the service in the counter was good I guess but really bummed out with the accomodation as it was just out of my expectations in all aspects, the bathroom was dirty, the vacuum wasn't working and the dryer was just rubbish... Truly disappointing from such a host.. Never met the man though.. For all those who had put 5 stars, they might have gotten a different and better room than me... Note that this is my personal opinion

I hosted a small cocktail party at the Morconi Bar at ME London. The place is awesome and has a good vibe. Staff is personable and professional. Recommended.

A lovely place to relax and have a beer, a cocktail or even just a coffee. Very helpful, friendly staff, nice smart décor. A well presented place with a relaxed feel to it.

after not getting into Radio as no id we walked straight into the hotel underneath Radio and had our pre theatre cocktails. The drinks were nice served by a nice waiter. No comp nibbles or even nut, no music and there was no atmosphere despite there being a few groups of people there. The barman seemed to be on his own, manning the bar, making the drinks and serving. One drink was enough here.

The Marconi Bar at Me London is just a super stylish place and makes so much fun to get a nice drink or just a coffee... Great and supportive service and fantastic location

Stayed here in an AirBnb and the building was absolutely Fabulous, the apartment we stayed in too was really nice.

This is a beautiful bar that serves a great selection of food and a superior selection of wines. The decor is amazing. I would strongly recommend a visit here for a chilled out and friendly experience.

This landmark bar in London is perfect to celebrate special occasions of for a quiet drink after work. The view over the London rooftops never disappoints. The wibe is relaxed and the drinks selction good

Pop in for a quiet glass of red wine and just that. Prices reasonable, service attentive and decor modem.

Enjoyed a few drinks here before dinner and show. The bar is on the ground floor and the bar team ensured that we were looked after during our visit. We took about seats and ordered our drinks - which arrived within minutes along with some complimentary nibbles. The bar had a good feel and a cross section of customers.

Came here on a Friday night for a couple cocktails with my lady. Asked the waiter for random cocktails and he was happy to oblige. The service was fantastic - I was not happy with one of the cocktails and the manager offered to make another one free of charge which was very much appreciated. Marconi is a really chilled out bar, not too many people, as Radio Rooftop is upstairs, but with the right company you can still have a good time. Understandably, the calm vibe may not be for many people.

Great central location, 24 hour concierge service and stylish accommodations.

Perfect place to drink a nice cocktail! The bartender was very attentive to ours demands. We spent a really great Time. I recommand 100% especially old fashion cocktail and flower in the rain.

Nella fantastica cornice di Londra ad allietare la mia permanenza è stata l'esperienza eccellente che ho avuto in questo bar, avevamo appuntamento con degli amici per poi andare altrove ma la super simpatia della ragazza al bancone che ho avuto il piacere di conoscere, Simona , e la sua professionalità ci ha svoltato la serata ed abbiamo deciso di rimanere lì. Mi ha trasmesso la sua passione nel lavoro che fa!Ottimi i cocktail , servizio eccellente ed impeccabile! La Prossima volta che mi troverò a Londra tornerò sicuramente! Esperienza piacevolissima. Fuimos para un cóctel tras el teatro el sábado ... temprano en la noche. Menuda decepción - a pesar de la decoración interesante, el bar tenía poco ambiente, y el camarero parecía lento y aburrido. Al final de nuestra orden y tomó una edad para conseguir las bebidas (que estaban bien). También fue muy desagradable que él trae toda la limpiadora desinfectante para la mesa de al lado para nosotros - un paño discreta para limpiar sus sobre lo que era una mesa limpia habría sido más en armonía. Me hizo cuestión entrenamiento en el lugar ... empleados deben ser a pie alto y dando la impresión de que ellos están orgullosos y energizante para trabajar en uno de los mejores bares en la ciudad ... no nos esta impresión.

We enjoyed pre dinner cocktails here and it was very buzzy. Nice for drinks or food. Open kitchen which always creates a nice vibe. Very popular so best to book.

I hosted a drinks reception at the Marconi Bar for my daughters 21st Birthday before leaving them to party the night at STK (which was superb). Leon arranged everything for us.....we had a reserved area, he welcomed us in person and then made sure that there was never an empty glass and the champagne flowed.The bar itself is super cool and sophisticated.....the quiet before the storm (STK). The perfect location to host a pre-dinner drinks reception.A massive thank you to Leon who went above and beyond....lovely guy and excellent host

I’m not really one for writing reviews, but we visited some friends staying at the Me hotel last Sunday and met them in the hotel bar, Marconi- it was excellent so I felt compelled to write something to recommend it.We have visited Me hotel’s Radio Bar in the past & were seriously unimpressed- super busy, so terrible service, and since then we have not bothered to return.We weren’t even aware of the bar in the lobby- a hidden gem. A fantastic futuristic entrance design reveals an elegant, comfy and modern lounge with a small bar.We sat at the bar & waited for our friends and were served by a great guy (Tibor-name on check). He had a couple of other tables but made us feel as though we were the only people in the world with hisfriendly, attentive and personalised service, even going as far as to make us a customised cocktail each- which were both absolutely sublime.Our friends joined us and he effortlessly moved us to a table for more drinks.I can’t recommend this place enough, the service was exactly how it should be in a 5* establishment: welcoming, attentive and slick; the personalised cocktails tailored to our individual preference were out of this world; and the design of the bar was amazing. Definitely worth the money for such a great over all experience. Forget Radio Bar and try this little gem instead!

I left a review on here last year following a really disappointing visit for an afternoon tea with my girlfriends last October but for some reason it has been deleted...?We arrived to be greeted with 'you need to leave by 3pm' these were the waitresses first words to us! How unprofessional!The air conditioning was on full - in October - we were freezing we asked if it could be turned down - we were told it probably couldn't and that we weren't able to move closer to the fire (despite no one being sat by it but apparently the table had already been reserved).The sandwiches were stale.The pastries and cakes were pretty disappointing - they had a real artificial/processed taste about them. Thank God for the champagne!They made a real song and dance about us going up to the rooftop bar for drinks when we had to give up our table at 3pm. As if it's only for the 'select few' - it's not it's just a pretentious bar where you get ripped off further - you have to pay a service charge even when you order at the bar!! Great views though!There are far better places in London for afternoon tea! If you've got any sense give this place a wide berth!And Trip Advisor please do not allow the hotel to remove this review again!

Great staff, lovely seating areas. We came down from Radio Bar to find somewhere a little quieter. Staff are very courteous. Drinks are expensive but its a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Had a drink here as I was meeting my husband and son for some drinks before going for dinner! It was freezing cold outside and not much better inside the bar, had to keep my sheepskin coat on, so firstly I wasn't impressed with this. Secondly, the wine by glass on the menu was disappointing too, only offering a Chardonnay or a Sauvignon Blanc, the Chardonnay wasn't very nice at all. Thirdly, once my husband and son turned up, they had a pot of tea and it was very weak and we had to ask for an extra teabag. It was really deadpan too and had no atmosphere, not a sort of bar I'd expect of the Melia chain. Needless to say, I won't be returning!

The bartenders here are terrific & attentive. The drinks are great & it's also a perfect place to people watch!

This is really a little lobby area where you can have a drink. It is a very modern design and had a strong style big in its look but also the service you receive. Nice for a quiet chat and drink.

Popped in here for a few drinks before a night out.The room is the hotels lobby bar and it did have more of a in a lobby feel than in a bar feel. The décor is pretty impressive but everything is so far spaced apart it did feel a bit soulless.Standard range of drinks and typical London Hotel prices. Stayed for one drink then went elsewhere.There were pop stars in there so if that's your thing you might spot some.

An elaborate hotel conveniently situated in central London. I booked the afternoon two months prior to the visit and was expecting a spectacular afternoon celebration for my friend. We arrived and my friend was suitably impressed by the decor. We were guided to our table and received a glass of champagne each. After that it pretty much was a mediocre experience. The afternoon tea was served and sadly the waitress was not familiar with the sandwiches as they recently changed the selection!! The sandwiches were sub standard and disappointing. The tea needed to be refreshed twice as it cooled really quickly because the doors were opened to get rid of a nasty smell. All in all my friend's surprise birthday treat was indeed a very disappointing experience!

My four first cousins and I went here to celebrate one of our(not mine) 40th birthday, it was a deal on another site that I was offered. The hotel was really lovely, the decor was great really modern, but with a warm feel to it. The afternoon tea with a glass of champagne was lovely, and we were offered refils on everything except for the champagne. Service was excellent. And with the deal it was actually very good value.My only very slight disappointment was that I had phoned in the week and asked if they could put a candle on the cake for my cousins birthday, which they told e they would do, but didn't. However this was rectified, when I had a quiet word in our waiters ear, and they bought up an extra cake with a candle, when they bought us the bill. Would definitely recommend and go back again. And to finish the afternoon off, we went up to the fabulous Radio Bar on the roof for some fabulous cocktails.

I was staying in the ME London hotel, which is a very nice and service oriented hotel. I decided to go to the Marconi Lounge for afternoon tea. I sat down and a pleasant server/bar tender came over asking for my order. I order the afternoon tea. I got a gigantic pot of delicious and very good quality breakfast tea. The pot gave me 4 full cups of tea easily. The sandwiches, scones, and cakes arrived after about 15 minutes but the server apologized for the delay. The sandwiches were better than some other places I have had tea. The scones were good, and the the cakes and pastries were sweet and delicious. The server was a delight to speak with. The atmosphere was cool and modern but comfortable. It was great to watch the city pass by through the large glass windows looking at the strand. I ate and drank at a very leisurely pace and never felt rushed. The temperature was good as well, not cold like some others have. It was a lovely experience overall.

My daughter and I had afternoon tea at the Marconi on the 24th August. We were greeted my the rudest waitress ever. I told her that we had a booking and she said I know I said would you like my name then she said sit where you want and then walked away.We were given a glass of champagne and asked which tea we wanted she then brought a cake stand and we never saw her again. We weren't asked if we wanted more tea and our sandwiches/cakes were not re-filled.We only saw the waitress again when I asked for the bill.The sandwiches and cakes were ok but not fantastic.I didn't pay the service charge as we didn't have any service. Don't go here for an afternoon tea we have had better for half the price in the Strand Palace Hotel.

Radio ( as Marconi is now labelled) is a real nice luxury brasserie on top of the hotel. Very nice staff and Tapas. high priced but worth it.

We had a business function at the ME on the Strand, such a significant building in the history of telecommunications and broadcasting! The meeting rooms, ground floor bar and restaurant were very nice, but the Rooftop was spectacular especially during the heat we enjoyed in London this summer! Great views for somewhere so central.

Did a champagne afternoon tea with my sister. Served by wonderful waiter, Nahid. Lovely champagne, amazing Jasmine needle tea. Sandwiches nice, not amazing. Catered well for vegetarians and nut allergy, had pre-specified this on my booking through a different website. Re-filled sandwiches, tea offered to re-fill. Scones melt in your mouth delicious with fresh clotted cream, only 2 haha. Variety of little cakes, unusual and beautifully presented. Good tasting too. Jasper Conran cutlery a delight. Would recommend :)

O lugar e a vista do rooftop valem a ida até esse lugar, onde voce terá além de um jantar agradavel, uma "balada" até a meia noite caso nao esteja hospedado. Se estiver hospedado, pode ficar até as duas da manha, com champanhe moet, veuve ou DP (caras, por sinal) mas que o clima e o visual compensam.

What an absolutely super place!! The Marconi Lounge is amazing to look at. A very cool looking lounge which was lovely to sit in for Afternoon Tea. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The menu was explained fully to us as was the tea selection when we asked for advice for choices. The food was nicely displayed - I had heard they did cakes in the shapes of famous London landmarks, which I was looking forward to seeing but we did not receive. However the cakes we did receive were a dream. One word to describe the lemon and macaroon - Wow!!!It is an Afternoon Tea that is definitely worth trying once, even twice if you are lucky!!!

We booked afternoon tea here just before Christmas and had a good time enjoying a nice glass of champagne,a selection of sandwiches and cakes with a choice of teas. It's a very modern open setting (unlike a lot of 'afternoon tea' places) which we liked but the draught when both sets of front doors were open meant it was cool in a not so good way!

We wanted to go to RAdio bar but it was closed on 02.01.so booked the Marconi restaurant and we had a very good dinner, i personally had the lobster pasta and they were simply amazing. service was good. i highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently had Champagne afternoon tea at the Marconi Lounge. It was excellent The sandwich selection, the cakes and the scones were delicious. We were offered a second round of sandwiches without us having to ask for them. The service was attentive without being intrusive. Very good value.

An amazing scent envelops you when you arrive and chic armchairs let you sink into relaxation. This is a great lounge for planning your day ahead, reflecting on it afterwards or to indulge in their delicious afternoon tea.

We took afternoon tea here to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a Bookatable deal: afternoon tea and a glass of Moet for £25 a head.The ME is a new hotel on the London scene, located at The Aldwych end of The Strand. It's an impressively modern entrance gives way to a futuristic lobby bar and lounge - The Marconi. Large steel tubes create a sloping open wall down the length of the lounge, chairs and sofas are uber modern in taupe and cream. A circular polished granite fire has a coal-effect gas fire in a glass tube.The impact is immediate - style and modernity in a sophisticated combination. We're still not completely sure if seating the Afternoon tea here is a good thing, if you're after a quiet time then be prepared for the fact that this lounge is used by other guests arriving/departing. We had a very loud and animated group of 15 Italians awaiting departure to Heathrow to greet us. The tea is lovely, traditional sandwiches of salmon, beef, egg, ham and cheese, cucumber and tzatziki. Fresh scones with your own dish of cream and pots of strawberry jam - no need to ask for refills of these as is so often the case in other establishments.The cakes are great fun and very tasty. A chocolate and hazelnut Big Ben, Christmas Pudding Macaroon, a blackberry-toppped choux bun, an almond mouse.The champagne was beautifully chilled, the tea selection was good and how great that they don't leave the tea in the pot to stew or get bitter, at last a hotel who knows how to serve tea correctly!The service was friendly and courteous. We weren't rushed and thoroughly enjoyed taking our time chatting and eating!Highly recommended for the ambiance, service and quality of the food and drink.

Cannot recommend this place enough! The whole building is beautiful wherever you go. Had an amazing afternoon tea in the Marconi Lounge. Recommended Champagne was a lovely touch. Gorgeous sandwiches and melt in the mouth scones, and the cakes! WOW! Service was flawless too. We were very well looked after by a charming girl named Mia, whose knowledge of the extensive tea menu was impressive - the Iron Goddess of Mercy was amazing. Even the manager on duty Darren, greeted our table and asked for feedback as they had just recently launched the Afternoon Tea at Me London. A must visit if you are in the area and want to impress a loved one or close friend.
