The rooms were good enough but a bit well used in places, the view of the Tower Bridge made up for any deficite though. We were supposed to get a executive room but on booking in we were given a standard room instead with no explanation. When we queried this we were told the room we booked required repairing. We did get complimentary breakfast as compensation. The location of the hotel is perfect for central London and 5 minutes away from Tower Bridge tube station.

Genuinely such a disgusting hotel. The hallways smelled moldy and musty, and the time it took to call an elevator was insane. The rooms looked and felt like they haven't been updated since the 90's. The shower tiles had mold everywhere and the entire room felt like it hadn't been cleaned - we slept in full sweat suits because we were so disgusted which was a problem in itself considering the AC didn't work and the hotel was so hot. The view of the bridge is pretty, but not in a great location if you want to see anything else. I don't think the view outweighs all of the cons in the slightest. Would truly never recommend this hotel.

Views are excellent, HMS Belfast just across the Thames. Tower of London a short 10 minute walk. There is a lovely glass Conservatory where you can enjoy the view with a drink and something to eat. Great location and a very nice hotel. Our room was a bit outdated, but comfortable. The air conditioning didn't really work, but it was nice to get some air with the windows, it wasn't warm while we were there. The service was very good, as was the food. It's just a really great location and i'd highly recommend this hotel.

Great location and food was nice. Had issues with a/c not working and if it did come on it leaked water from ceiling unit onto floor. When mentioned to front desk, instead of moving us to a room with good a/c, they offered us a fan...lol. the building is very dated, and there is a wait to get an elevator ride.

I do not recommend The Tower Hotel in London. Upon arrival, we were given a room with no working AC in the heat of August. While the staff did move us to another room, which I appreciate, I specifically asked if the AC in the new room was working and was curtly told it was—unfortunately, it was not. At breakfast, they had no record of our prepaid meal, though the staff did resolve the issue quickly. Additionally, on two separate occasions, I overheard other guests complaining to staff about various issues, which reinforced my feeling that the hotel is poorly managed. Lastly, if you’re visiting from the US, be aware that bulky plug adapters may not fit in some rooms, as the outlets are placed awkwardly close to surfaces. While the staff was helpful overall, the hotel needs improvements. I give 3 stars due to the high overall staff quality.

The room is small and so is the bathroom. The towel rack heater in the bathroom didn't work and the hotel never addressed it when I complained. The bed was only so-so insofar as comfort. Service sucks. Do not expect to be treated with respect if you have a gluten allergy/Celiac's Disease. Elevators weren't working half the time, so if you are differently abled enjoy half your vacation waiting in the lobby. Staff was disrespectful outright and jerks when answering even basic questions. What a poor end to my vacation by this awful hotel. Avoid this place. It isn't worth the money and the staff and facilities are just awful.

Even though the room was small, it was very comfortable and had everything. The bathroom with the tub was not very comfortable as it was very high. The view is truly the best 👍 I came here because today is my birthday. I am someone who once learned hotel management, and from the moment you enter a hotel, you can tell whether the hotel is 3-star, 4-star, or 5-star. The front desk here is occupied by people who aren't exactly 2-3 stars. “How are you?” The staff don't even give a basic greeting... It's really pathetic and I hope they realize how shameful it is for a 4-star hotel in London. Even going to an ice cream shop would be better than here. The room is on the 6th floor with a Tower Bridge view. The air conditioner is broken. They said they were coming to fix it, but like the reviews below, they are just lying and in the end they brought me a small air conditioner. This is really low level hotel service. I ordered room service and called after finishing my meal, but they didn't answer, so I called again and answered. If you are someone who works at a 4-star hotel who has learned properly, “How was the food service?” I would ask questions, etc... Just leave it outside.... The manager wants you to feel ashamed. The shower and faucet are not controlled, so water comes out at the same time... I can't believe I'm paying to rest in a place like this... I would rather enjoy the view outside to my heart's content... The standard of the hotel with a beautiful view is so low, is it London? It was to the point where I wanted to. I just laugh at the fact that I couldn't charge my phone because there was no USB port, which is everywhere these days haha.

My family and I stayed at the Tower Hotel London during our trip to London this summer. I would recommend this hotel purely for the fantastic location! Honestly this hotel is perfectly situated for visitors looking to explore London from the river Thames via the uber boat system operated by Thames Clippers. We purchased the hop on - hop off two day family pass and found it to be the very best way to get around. The hotel its self is fairly average however its proximity to the beautiful Tower Bridge and ease of getting to other must see landmarks in London make it worth it. The breakfast option was well worth the extra as well. On our last evening we walked only 10 minutes from the hotel to Sky Garden for dinner and amazing views!

Unfortunately despite the hotel being generally okay, I spotted mice in the early hours of the morning in the breakfast area on both nights of my stay. You have to walk through this area to get to the bathrooms and it's very quiet at that time of night, so presumably the mice feel safe to come out. Since this is connected to the kitchens I have my concerns. Mice aside the stay was generally alright, my room was mostly clean (there were some loose shaving hairs from the previous visitor in the bathroom), the decor is very dated but fine, the bed was comfortable. The room had all of the usual amenities, aside from a mini-bar. It can take time to be served by the staff at the front desk, unfortunately to use the self service in the lobby for drinks you have to go to the front desk to get an age confirmation voucher each time (which totally defeats the point of self-service), several times staff would be on their phones etc. Location is great and has a tube station and lots of local amenities in walking distance. If it wasn't for the mice I'd probably recommend this hotel which is a shame.

Great location for London Bridge. But it's been a long time since I've seen a room so dated. Could easily have been in a countryside run down spa hotel but without the spa. Massively disappointed for the cost. Got a room on the first floor, view a window that looked directly into an office block so curtains had to be closed at all times. Do not recommend you stay here. Booked for business and selected this hotel because of the gym. Only own machine per exercise with one stationary bike, one treadmill etc. It is air conditioned though. It said in a lift that there's free use of a different gym instead.

Stayed here two nights for work and upon check in I enquired as to possibility of paying an early check in (arrived 11am and check in wasn't until 3pm) so I could work comfortably from my room, they checked on computer and said "the room was not ready". While working from the lobbie I could see that other guests gradually arrived and the same proceedure was followed -front desk would check in the computer and then provide a negative reply- where this is a hotel policy I would have appreciated a direct reply. In addition when I finally managed to check in I enquired as to possibility of extending my stay the following day for an late check out or even additional night in order to be able to work into evening before my flight (check out is at 11am). Shocked to hear from frontdesk that can't be done through them and "better to do with booking because they give better rates". Obviously wouldn't have solved my problem because if I followed that route I would have to check out 11am and wait until 3pm to check in into a different room. Shocking to see that front desk could not manage reservations directly which is not practical for me as a guest. But what is most concerning is being referred by front desk of a hotel of this calibre to an OTA platform directly for a reservation. Service by front desk agents did not meet my expectations, lack of proactivity and attitude was not hospitality orientated. As a guest travelling primarily for work and in need to stay connected between meetings I needed solutions from the property and I did not get these.

The staff were polite but always seemed busy with something else and not 'available', rushing around a lot. Made me feel quite unwelcoming and not what you want when you pay that much money. The hotel staff were professional, courteous, and always willing to help with any requests or questions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. We stayed in this hotel for five days. Check-in was at 3 p.m. as announced. Since we arrived earlier in the day, we could drop off our luggage and explore London. The lobby creates a very modern impression. What we already discovered in the lobby was that the hotel didn't smell pleasant. Air quality is not good in some hallways and in the lobby. The location is very good. The subway and well-known sights such as Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are within walking distance. Back at the hotel, check-in was easy at the terminal. The room was a bit old for the price. We could sleep well in the bed, but the furniture was old and the bathroom needs renovation. During our stay we got to know the hotel better over time. Breakfast is ok, but for the price? There were regular traffic jams in front of the elevators. One was not operational. There are "alternative" elevators and a stairwell. What we saw here was terrifying. The staff areas are in very poor condition. It stinks everywhere, there are plates and dishes in the hallways. Partially dried and several days old. Doors and walls have makeshift metal fittings so that nothing falls apart. I think the employees are giving everything, but there is an urgent need to invest here. You pay a lot for the location and popularity here. Would I go to the hotel here again? Definitely no!

Location is great, rooms are starting to get old. The carpet looks very worn. Definitely recommended for a short city trip. Breakfast buffet was very generous and good

We booked 1 night originally but extended the stay an extra night as I was running the London marathon, we booked a tower bridge view. First room on the 1st floor we could only see the top or the bridge and the air conditioning units and after going down stairs to ask if we could change rooms, padam I think his name was allowed us to change to room 769 which had an amazing view of the bridge and the shard! The beds were nice and comfy, the bathroom shower was very strong! Could do with some more towels in the room, bit of tile damage due to water but fine. Lifts were abit slow. Could maybe have a USB plug near the bed? Would definitely stay again, bit on the expensive side but good!

Very near the tower bridge, but the room style is too old for young people. The elevator is slow. The car park has a high limit.

Top hotel with a great location. There were two of us in a double room, it wasn't particularly big, but it was enough. The furniture was getting old, but was still usable. The breakfast was always good with a large selection. The service from the employees was always very good. The location of the hotel is of course unbeatable, great location that could hardly be better. All in all it was a great hotel. If you book early enough, the price is unbeatable.

The hotel is really very central. The rooms are sufficient and, most importantly, clean, even if they are a bit old. The mattresses are really excellent and we slept very well in them. The service throughout the entire hotel was extremely good and we felt very well looked after. The breakfast buffet was really delicious and the selection was very large. The service staff refilled immediately when something ran out and the tables were cleared quite quickly. The view from the 9th floor was very pleasant, even if we were unfortunately not on the Tower Bridge side. But it was very quiet. We will definitely come back and would like to thank the Tower Bridge Hotel! VG Petra L.

The situation of the hotel is unbelievable: next to Tower Bridge, with view of it and of the Shard from the room. Tower Hill station is 5 minutes walk. The rooms are clean and nice. The buffet breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The staff is wonderful, every person was kind and helpful, especially with our 4 years old child. Definitely recommended.

The rooms are acceptable but you can see the ravages of time. I can't say anything bad about the service. Personally, I think the location is good and the views of Tower Bridge or the harbor are great.

The hotel location is fantastic, easy access to the tube and walking distance to many landmarks. Beakfast choice was impressive and staff were very friendly and helpful. Just the room I was in was looking a bit tired and shabby and in vast need of a refurb. The shower was crazy as the pressure was too much for the pipes to handle, water shot out over the edge of the bath and soaked the floor (which interestingly had a wet room drain in the floor)

Perfect location, great view of the docks. Room was a bit worn out. Great that the window opened. Lots of staff to help you check in. Breakfast was very tasty for a buffet style. Lots of convenience with cafes, tesco express nearby and a short walk to the station.

The location is in the center of tourist attractions, making it great for traveling around London. The subway is also close by. Tower Bridge and the Tower of London are just a short walk away. It was just a pity that the accommodation was small. The staff were friendly.

Loved it. Great room overlooking the wonderful Tower Bridge and Thames. Location excellent. Room was quiet, tidy and comfortable. Great staff. It doesn't win prizes for beauty outside, but, it was great inside and we appreciated that. Very busy though, especially at the breakfast room and lifts, but the staff were awesome. I'd recommend it. Very handy to key tourist spots.

🚇 Cambridge Heath 🍺 £6.60 Mahou The Sebright Arms is located in a backstreet on the border between Cambridge Heath and Bethnal Green in the East End. The nearest station is Cambridge Heath, Bethnal Green Tube is ten minutes walk away. This pub was originally built in 1823 and was located diagonally opposite. The pub you see today was built by Charrington’s in 1936. This is a surprisingly large pub with an opened out interior. The interior comprises two wood-panelled rooms with the servery located on the left hand side. The seating comprises of traditional tables and chairs, long banquettes and sturdy benches. There are a couple of TV screens dotted about and a pool table near the entrance. In the basement is a live music venue, outside are a tables in the side alley. There are some beautiful original features that have survived the test of time, I love the leaded Charrington’s windows, the Neo-Georgian panelling and the stained glass gantry above the servery. The beer selection is all keg and offers a mix of mainstream beers, London craft and continental brews. I decided on a pint Mahou, my pint was great, price point was above average. The food menu consists of Burgers and comfort food options, Roasts are available on a Sunday. I arrived around 2pm on an overcast Saturday afternoon in June. The pub was fairly quiet inside and had a number of twenty something punters sat outside on the benches. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed as the pub geared up for the Georgia v Czech Republic Euro match. The service was pleasant, the team member who served me was welcoming and courteous. This pub has plenty on to keep you entertained with live bands playing in the basement, Karaoke nights, a Pub Quiz, Pool competitions and Live Premier League. I loved the architecture of this interwar built boozer, and also the beautifully maintained interior. The beer choice is decent and there is plenty to keep you entertained. The @sebrightarms is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. ℹ️ Info correct 22.06.24

Amazing Restaurant with delicious traditional Sichuan cuisine with a lovely cozy atmosphere. They do bbqs and Hot Pots and even offer Halal options. I recommend the Special Beef platter for bbq and the Chicken Wings.
