Nice, sterile atmosphere. Hypnotically Caucasian. The pints are strikingly overpriced but the glasses are very easy to steal, another one of god's little tests.

Great pub to watch music or sport at, big selection of beers and very friendly staff. Music venue was very hot and sweaty.

Came here for a pop up event, so cannot comment on what the place is like on a normal night. Great place for an event pub was really cool. Toilets were pretty busy and crowded & the event did feel a bit oversold and crowded but other than that I would come back if I was in the area

Great pub and venue! Venue needs a bit of ventilation though, it got really hot. Security is a bit curt he started kicking people out but didn’t explain that only the pool area was closing, but the rest of the pub is open- so was a bit confusing.

Really vibey pub with live cellar music bar putting on a range of exciting underground acts. Haven't eaten there so no idea about the food.

A great find. Brilliant place, great gig venue with range of beers and good food.

Went there on a Wednesday for a show (Modern Guilt - although I cannot lie if I say I liked the guest band before way more). You know these places that just feel right, without much other explanation? That's one of them. Four years living 30 minutes walk from it. Four mother fudging years. Never have I been so angry, I am frothing with contempt, steaming with self loathing, at how I wish I had discovered this place earlier. Cod sandwich was decent too.

Great little pub, lovely and lively downstairs function room and stage to see music and would be perfect for live comedy.

This place makes the best Sunday roast in Bethnal Green! I had a slow roasted pork belly last Sunday as they were already out of roast beef and it was divine!

Great food and beer, lovely people and atmosphere however the security was a total scumbag wouldn’t let people in or out we just wanted to smoke our cigarettes with peace nothing intended. He wouldn’t let a young girl to get in to get her handbag, reason for that behaviour remains unknown he seems to be power poisoned and this ally way pub door

First time I'd been to the pub and it was for Worn out Tuesdays in the music room downstairs. Would definitely come back.

Just off Hackney Rd, we followed the sign through the alley and had one of the best Sunday roasts in ages. Especially the pork belly! Thank you. We will be back.

Stopped here a few weekends ago on a quiet Saturday afternoon for a pint with a friend. Had some wings, fries and ale. Loved the atmosphere and the handful of Park benches outside. Would recommend!

This place always has such a great atmosphere! Everyone is in a cheery mood and lots of karaoke!! Brill night of fun with lots of space and a great gig venue downstairs! Affordable drinks and usually free entry

Very solid place for a pint. However, they insisted on having the back door open for quite some time which lead to a draft coming in most of the night. Not very pleasant to be sitting with your coat on in the pub.

Really great boozer with lovely bar staff, good music and decently placed tvs for the games. Free pool table is a nice touch in the corner and there are some very nice beers on tap: namely mahou and well-poured guinness. Most weeks there are free or v cheap gigs on in the underground Live music venue.

Nice pub, guinness always good. Free pool and footballs always on. Karaoke on Fridays what more can one ask.

My friends and I enjoy coming here for karaoke, but the host has consistently made it difficult to enjoy, and seems we’re not the only ones that feel that way. He skips songs that he doesn’t like, makes fun of people who are singing, and just makes it an all round unpleasant experience. Hope he gets his chin up one day

Nice pub with nice beer terrace

Went for drinks and a festive mood for Christmas jazz round the piano. It was a very cool spot to go with friends and coworkers for a drink. Not the venue to go if you wanna actually hear the music or snag a table unless you get there at 6pm. Although we could not hear what we came for due to noise, the venue itself is fun, energetic and a classic pub with excellent mulled cider (not mulled wine).

What a pub! Always has something going on, reasonably priced pints, good atmosphere, and is carefully managed to limit noise to neighbours even though it's open late on weekends.

It's a very friendly place. Today we were mesmerised by Moyka's wonderful performance!

Small downstairs venue. Pub area is spacious with plenty of seats . Friendly quick staff with a good overall atmosphere. Venue is downstairs. Low ceilings so can sound very loud and can get quite hot. It's a great little place though. Drinks average prices.

Came for a gig in the basement venue - didn’t get a chance to sample the food offering but good prices on pints and the staff were all lovely!

Cracking pub, great beer selection, shows the sport, pool table, nice staff.

Music downstairs was top, met some sound people; I'll be back for more.

The Wednesday pub quiz hosted by Sophia was a great time! Was a lovely visit!

I attended on quiz night weds, was a pleasureable experience. Lovely crowd. Special thanks tp Sophio whp was the quiz host. Higjly recommend.

Good for gigs but the food was small portions. I like the place, good for live bands

Really only make the journey for the quiz !! It’s always such a great night. Sophia is hilarious, such a great quiz host and always has unique and fun questions!

Businesses like this should start taking up and acknowledging their mistakes and behaviour towards the people that construct it. it delays payments on staff, it doesnt provide any benefits for them, accuses it of stealing drinks and food for any mistakes on stock-take every month, doesnt have tips or service charge and pays on minimum wage. im the only non-binary/trans person and also oldest member of staff working for this business and every since management changed a few months now, my hours started decreasing more and more, when other cis heteronormative members got promotions and raises. Do not support the sebright or old blue last. support queer and black owned venues that care for the staff’s wellbeing!!!

Really fun pub, and the quizzes on Wednesday evening with Sophia are hilarious (and easy then difficult - so good for any level) me and my friends are regulars

The sound is always good and loud

The building itself is quite pretty and the dual-use with a downstairs is definitely unique for a pub. The staff however didn't seem to have a clue about managing such a busy night. We went for Eurovision, and booked tickets for downstairs viewing. However, they booked a band for downstairs and moved everyone else upstairs, where there wasn't enough space to accommodate everyone. On top of that, all the tables had been reserved! They hadn't publicly posted about the change in seating area or that we needed to reserve a table! We thought having tickets was enough. The staff also had a slew malfunctions with the television and we're surprisingly inattentive when it came to fixing these issues. It was quite noisy with the number of people and the band playing loudly downstairs, so we couldn't really hear the telly. Not a great Eurovision viewing party due to the event management so I'm not planning on returning.

Brilliant small venue. The pub upstairs had a great choice of beer and super friendly staff behind the bar. The burgers from the resident kitchen "slap & pickle" were excellent. The best bit is the small concert space in the basement which had really good sound without being too loud and was small enough to have a great view from where you stood. There's also a small bar down there where it was quick and easy to get served even at a sold out show. I hope to see many more gigs here.

Ah super nice! Burgers are a bit smaller than other places but SUPER.GOOD! Ciders and beer are nice. Venue is wonderfully located in a narrow alley and there is plenty of space in the front for smoking and drinking outside. We went to se a concert in the basement and that also was top quality: SKY VALLEY MISTRESS ROCKS!!. Well done, suggested 100%

Nice wee pub that does a weekly pub quiz on a Wednesday. Was also a huge fan of the cheeseburger loaded fries.

Lovely boozer. Burgers were amazing

A interesting mix of pub, music venue and food supplier. They’ve had some great burger providers over the years including Luck Chip. The latest incarnation is Slap & Pickle from a team involved in the early days of the London street food scene but more latterly in Leeds.

Great pub with cool decor and ambiance. Beer range on tap is a little boring but the staff are great and the Slap & Pickle burgers are awesome!

Sebright Arms - I find it mind bending that there are not more music pubs like the @sebrightarms in the capital city of ours. For a country with such a rich music history the amount of small venues that have disappeared and not been replaced is scandalous, but sebright arms is standing strong and waving the flag for grassroots live music. Go and see some live music it’s good for the soul!! PS I saw @charleshowl & @jennifer_misanthropez they were great!

Just left. 10 minutes standing at the bar waiting for a member of staff to appear, nobody did.

Avoid this pub. A pub I would recommend as an alternative would be the Old George. Negatives include: (1) No mention of drink prices anywhere that I could see whilst I was in this pub - feels dishonest (2) Cheapest pint is £5.50, which is expensive, for comparison cheapest pint at Anerley Arms is £3.00 and cheapest pint at Wetherspoons is £2.19 (3) One of the seats at the back had a massive dip in it which needs to be fixed (4) Only serving in plastic cups - come on is this a proper pub? If I'm paying at least £5.50 for a pint I want a proper glass with my pint. (5) Issues with management and morale of staff - one staff member told me that they had been sworn at by their management leading them to become stressed and leading them to be actively searching for a new job

Unpleasant interaction with the Karaoke host. Publicly shamed people over the mic, was clear he thought it was very clever making others feel small for not having hipster enough taste in music - only to not have any Pavement songs. It takes guts to put your name down for a song, pretty nasty to be ridiculed about it

This is a great pub! With its dark interior it has quite an atmosphere. There’s a good selection of beers and hard drinks. But what nudges it up from other pubs is the downstairs venue which has great live acts. A really good place to hang out with a great vibe.

Harrison is as friendly, virtuous, and kind, not bad on the eye either ;) Sam is one off the best bartenders I’ve seen in years , had a good time, as an Irish woman Guinness was great!

Really cool local pub with a real genuine community feel to it! The place is packed full of people in their 20s and 30s and look like they're all having a great time. Live music venue downstairs with shows on almost nightly

Good venue to see a band. One of the hottest days of the year so it was a bit uncomfortable saw a band called Vollyball. They were really good also.

it was a quiet night that I visited, but the pub quiz is great fun and well worth attendance. the beer was great and they have a partnership with a local pizza place, enormous, delicious beasts that deserve to be eaten.

Venue was ace. Bar staff were perhaps the slowest I've ever encountered. Sorry!

A little cramped but has a nice basement venue for bands. Drinks are a tad expensive - £6 per pint but a good selection of ales and lagers.

apparently charlie kray is supposed to have smacked the landlord of this pub back in the sixties. charlie kray was the older brother of the kray twins. charlie kray is supposed to have given him a right dig.

Very nice old school pub with great venue downstairs. Be careful as kitchen not always serving food.

I haven't visited this pub for years, but I used to visit regularly as a member of staff at the children's hospital. It was owned at the time by Jack and John, 2 amazing blokes who were excellent cooks. We used to ring and order our dinners in the morning and it would be all ready for us at 1.00pm so we had time to eat during our lunch break. Nothing like that anywhere now. And I even met Rowan Atkinson there. He was also very pleasant and spoke to us.

I came for a good friends birthday. Unbeknownst to me the karaoke is run by one of the worst men I’ve ever met in my life. He continuously turned the microphones off when performing and when I questioned him on the matter, the shifty so and so was incredibly rude to me. I responded with some obscenities which in turn got me kicked out. All in all I’d say the karaoke man needs to be changed asap because he has lost a valuable customer. Will never come back

This is a very traditional pub with a good selection of beers. Very much worth a visit.

We visited the Sebright Arms with our grandchildren for an early lunch. Good food, including children’s menu, good beer and amazing, friendly, helpful service. We will definitely becoming back!

Amazing bar staff but the best thing was the fish and chips

I visited this pub for a quick drink and I felt in love with it. Staff very friendly especially Devon. Order few snack and the chef was very generous and kind with me. Such a nice atmosphere 😍

How about this for a cracking meal! No complaints whatsoever

Happened to be in the area and heard good things about this place so I thought I would give it a go. Just glad pubs are back open and all the ones I had been too were very safe and very organised. Not here. Get told it's table service and I am the only one at a table and three people are sitting together at the bar, chatting with two staff. One comes over and there is no list of what beers are available and what prices. I get an IPA and it turns out it's £6..for a little back street pub round here? The five of them chatted at the bar the whole time I was there and there is no register kept of contact details so if I did get something or one of them has, no one knows who to contact. No face masks for staff either. I'll visit after this is over but not a chance right now.
