La Terraza by Ibérica in Tower Hamlets

The restaurant was busy that night and I was given a bar which is okay as I came alone. The vibe was good though; warm and tastefully decorated. The staff was nice and responsive. My starter was anchovies with tomato and pickled chilli; it was delicious. The main was black paella and it was good; not the best though. I wish there was more octopus in the dish and definitely not the prawn. I personally feel the prawn smell and taste was a bit overwhelming and covered the taste of the squid ink. I did comment to the staff afterwards and he made me feel my comment was received. The bill included the service charge on top of the menu price. I would have given 4.5 but there isn’t such an option.

The staff were so nice and attentive, it's a lovely spot for summer. But the music was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak... why does every venue in London think you want music to dance to?

Amazing Anniversary Dinner Thanks to Sahl! My boyfriend and I celebrated our one-year anniversary, and Sahl made the evening truly special. He was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The surprise glasses of rose he brought out for our anniversary was a lovely touch. We stumbled upon La Terraza by chance while on a weekend in canary wharf, the ambiance is lovely and it's truly a gem. Sahl our server was wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. I ordered a wine off the menu and Sahl came over to tell me unfortunately they had run out and then let me taste 3 other similar wines till I found the one I liked in place of the one I wanted. We then stayed for 2 more glasses and then unfortunately had to leave. If we where ever in the area we would surely go back !

Nice al fresco atmosphere, recommend getting their bocadillo sandwiches or meat selection.

The staff working were very nice and it is a nice setting. The food quality was good but terrible value for money! The quantity of food that was served for a dish that is £16.75 I am sorry to say is an absolute disgrace! Seriously, lower your prices or serve a respectable quantity of food that matches the price! Disappointing overall.

Super nice place with extremely inexperienced staff. They are trying their best but simply nobody showed them what’s going on behind the bar. It’s our third visit hoping for better but i think sadly last one.

Tapas had no seasoning and were expensive for the portion size. We landed moving from the terrace due to poor service and lack of menu options. What a waste of a fantastic venue

We visited La Terraza and it was beautiful! A lovely little Spanish haven with delicious tapas and tasty drinks. It is all outside, so it’s the perfect place for after work drinks, a casual catchup or even for a sneaky glass of wine or two.

The spectacular place and the perfect food, I recommend Octopus!

Good place, friendly staff, a bit too expensive for the quality which they serve food/ drinks. We order wine glasses and there was not more than 100ml each for 9.50£. Nice view, and quick service.

The manager (host) is rude and unprofessional. I came in with my wife for a drink and he was ironic and rude. Get rid of him if you don't wanna lose your customers.

The portions of this place are ridiculous. We ordered a cheese board, for almost 16 pounds and we got the smallest 10 pieces of cheese you could imagine. The pork said 200 gr. That was not even 50 gr so we sent it back to the kitchen. The calamari was hard to eat. For 3 pieces of bread the cheese a ridiculous ribeye, calamari, 1 beer 1 sangria and 1 lemonade we pay 100 pounds. A proper rip off.

We weren’t informed that the desserts were not available. Also, when taking the last drinks order, we were told there was no ice to actually prepare the drinks. The portion of ham was too cold that you could notice it had been cut many hours before and the waitress was not interested in us.

The atmosphere is very good, but it's surprising that they didn't have any ice for last drinks, we went with our friends where one of them was pregnant and she was denied a soft drink just because there was no ice and I feel the staff was not courteous with us. I would say they need to revisit the service, overall it's good.

Nice drinks, overpriced food and heavily understaffed. The waiters tried as hard as they could but the drinks took forever because of the lack of management. The waiters were constantly in a rush and had no time to provide quality service which is no surprise. There are much better places to go. Wouldn't recommend.

A lovely atmosphere, but shockingly poor service for a Thursday evening. We had booked in and prepaid a deposit, but: - The table was set for less than the booking number, and despite being almost empty in the seated section the waiter threw a strop when we asked for a few more seats - Drinks took 45-60 minutes to arrive for our first round, because they'd only staffed one person on the bar (no management or wait staff jumped on to help) - The mango cocktail tasted like jet fuel, obviously mixed in a hurry - Despite offering to comp our first round of drinks to compensate, we still had to spend 10 minutes with the manager cleaning the bill up as they were still on it Long story short? Plenty of better bars to spend your time in CW.

Lovely atmosphere with all the trees and buildings around. HOWEVER the place is grossly overpriced for the quality they offer, the oxtupus arrived swimming in oil, the fried stuff came from an old oil, we waited for an hour and to get the starters. What was the worst was that when we complained to one waitress that we waited too much she just looked at us and left without saying anything, let alone sorry...

I adored this terrace: the decoration is very minimal and cosy, and the food is proper Spanish. I highly recommend la pluma ibérica, which is a ree-range pure Ibérico pork, hasselback Josper potatoes and mojo rojo sauce and the Pear and La Peral Blue Cheese Salad. Thank You Ibérica Team!

This is an oasis in Canary Wharf. Once you sit you forget where you are because the atmosphere is so nice and cozy. As with the Ibérica restaurants, food and drinks don’t disappoint.

I went today for a dinner with my partner and I feeling like they rip off my wallet, the place is lovely the food is good but the portions are small and really priceless, for a 2 tentacle of octopus we payed 20£ with nothing else on the plate, 1 steak of pork also with nothing on we payed 18£ it’s a insane amount of money we payed plus service charge 8.32£ for nothing!! Make sure 5 guys or Nando’s still open when you leave canary otherwise you will return home starving and skint.

Terrace style bar and restaurant. Food menu is a limited version of the usual Iberica menu so more aimed at a lighter bite. Friendly staff and tables in the sun or covered available

Went to this place for a friend’s casual bday dinner. Food was priced as a full meal but sized as tapas. Ordered watercress which was on the “from the ground” menu. Contained WORMS!!! Yes I know worms are from the ground too but no thanks!!! Really speaks to the terrible quality of the food served there. Gave me 10% off the food but charged 10% service fee. Service wasn’t even that great. What a joke!

I have been to La Terraza several times. I do not recommend the restaurant at all, but it can be a nice location to have some drinks if you are around Canary Wharf. The prices are really high for what they offer, though. The staff are good and nice, but slow, so if you go make sure to be patient...

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the service. It took us 20 minutes to get two glasses of wine, after it arrived, we were then informed that we only had 15 minutes left at the table. Bear in mind we were still waiting for our main courses?! If they want to shift off people at such a rapid rate, it would be great if the food and drink could arrive with ample time for us to enjoy it. The manager begrudgingly gave us extra time, but it all felt like we were the inconvenience, and there were no apologies from their side. I wouldn't go back because of this, and I wouldn't recommend.

We went there with a reservation and they assigned us a table next to the bathroom. It was pretty smelly. And the heating wasn’t working. The menu was different than published, no tapas and the price was different also. Not worth the price.

Went couple of days ago with my girlfriend, nice atmosphere and delicious tapas! Went there just for couple of drinks and something easy to eat. Sweet potato was something extraordinary! Sheery Negroni not bad at all. I'll surely come back.

Nice place for beer and tapas. Came on a weekday for drinks and stayed for a snack. Beer selection is quite limited with only Estrella on tap. Cheese board was nice, including some classic spanish selection. Hanger steak was cooked above the requested level, but was good overall. Bread was just ok, nothing too fancy. Had a Rioja red, was great too - nice that all of the selection is available on small and big glasses, karaf and bottles.

I went during times where covid restrictions were still in place so some consideration and understanding is needed. So I will forgive the wait time and the stretched staff (who were lovely) I found the outdoor seating a lovely setting even though I would have preferred they had an area for smokers as a was sat between them as I had my food. With the limited menu, the cocktails I found to be quite appealing to both look and taste with a reasonable price tag. The food however is a different matter, while nice I found my steak to be a bit bloody (asked for med well) and my partner got a piece with mostly fat. The prices charged for the items were also in the deep end especially for what they were (£6 for half a baked potato) and I feel that chips should of been included with the steak especially for the price. All in all I would go again, only for drinks at the moment, maybe food if a fuller menu showed something more substantial.

The place was packed when I went for dinner with a friend, but there weren’t massive waits for service or food. There were a couple of items not available but the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was great. The Iberico ham was a real treat and the evening was really enjoyable.

The food was presented nicely enough but really lacked flavour. You could have made something better at home. The steak, which you'd image to be one of the specialities, was not very warm and really lacked seasoning. We had to ask for salt and peppe. Pretty dissapointing experience.

Posh elegant moquing the Mediterranean places, I would say fir nostalgic ones.. The fountains aside gives you the feeling to be on holiday and I love the arrangements of their furniture. Try the cocktails as the sangria in Summer.. Also the Pizzas aren't bad at all, uhmm enjoy the surroundings too

Lunch plates are on the small side. Food is good. Great spot for a chilled lunch. Try the Lalomba rose on a warm day.

Lovely outdoor area. Can be abit of a shout-fest due to the water feature in the square, but all together chilled. Young staffers need a bit more training in service.

Had a terrible time there. My friends bought me a cake for my birthday, the box she bought it in had been thrown in the bin. The manager said that she thought we wouldn't want it back so the chefs throw it. I didn't know you can throw other peoples property in the bin without their consent? Bad enough they did that but then the manager goes in the bin to retrieve it to give it back to us and says it was in a plastic bag? She couldn't get her story straight and kept on changing it! Worst thing, when she got the box from the bin, she put the box near the cake. Hygiene hazard? I wonder if she washed her hands after? They changed the bill as they were in the fault and didn't charge for drinks and additional £15 off. The Churos were severely undercooked. Crispy on the outside but the batter did not cook. Their excuse - the oil is too hot. Rest of the food I had was nice, drinks were ranging for a pint around £5+. When I received the food, I got no cluttery, am I meant to eat warm food with my hands? I was really upset about this place, I had a glowing recommendation for this place by my colleague but I guess it is one of them days.

Overpriced for a quantity of food far less than expected. Service below average - you get charged 10% of the bill. Location is good compared to other spots in the area. Overall not impressed.

This bar is an open air bar in the north side of Cabot place. Because it's open air it's only open in the summer. But they do have a regular bar across the road in North Colonnade Canary wharf London. A little pricey but Busy on Thursdays & Fridays in the summer. Not sure if there open weekends as its meant to serve Canary Wharf workers.

Good location for a after work drink. Fast service.

Great place for nice weather lunch get togethers or after work drinks. Lovely environment, secluded and almost hidden. You sit under trees, not feeling you are surrounded by high rises. Try to sit a bit sweaty from the water coming from the fountain as you may find yourself shouting as you compete to the sound of falling water. Difficult to find place after work with warm weather. The cheese and meat platters are great. You can have done small dishes to share as well along with your wine. The service is friendly.

Nice spot for a coffee. On a Friday night it seems to turn into a night club. Music was amazing but more importantly, the dj played every single one of my three obscure requests. And also the cocktail guy fired up the coffee machine, which had been cleaned and shut down, just to make us espresso martinis.

We were told that we did not get our food within an hour but other people in suits were served within minutes. It seems that they do not like tourists. Nevertheless, the cocktail I ordered was very tasty.

The place is super cool, Staff very friendly.. food is delicious!! But HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A PLACE LIKE THIS, DOESNT HAVE A TEQUILA TO MAKE A MARGARITA?! The drinks menu is really limited.. which is sad to say, I will definitely come back.. but hopefully next time they will do something for the menu.. Our waiter Daniele was fantastic and the bartender Nazzareno too!!

Initial reaction was this was going to be expensive, but in reality a good meal, service, and excellent service. We were delighted we chose this location after looking into a couple of bars/restaurants, that were grim. Overall we had a great night.

ended up at Iberia terrace after checking canary wharf 's places in the sun and don't regret it at all after a jug off Sangria and a board of Spanish delicacies we felt like on the shores of southern Spain will be back here soon for sure

Beautiful setting, lovely food and amazing service.

I called up to ask what time the kitchen closes as I was coming with a friend for dinner around 10pm. A lady on the phone ensured me the kitchen closes at 11pm. I arrived at 10pm to be told we have 15min to order ALL food and drinks. We did just that and food was rushed and cold/Luke warm. By that time it was 10:30 but could not order alternative dishes as the kitchen was closed - 30min before what I was told on the phone. Basically had a meal of bread as we was left starving - in a restaurant. Terrible.

Lovely fountain-side bar where you feel 'a million miles away' from Canary Wharf for your visit. Lovely wine and the food looked good too.

I've only been for drinks so can't give a food review but the drinks and service are second to none, one of my favourite places to come in the Wharf. The fountains behind you provide an outdoor experience you don't get much here and the people look after you so well, it's great. Best in the summer but I've been here in the winter too and the many heat lamps make it much more comfortable than any other outdoor places in the area. Enjoy!

The food is good but much more expensive than last year. It also takes a VERY long time to arrive. 45 minutes to cook 6 prawns.... This is not a one-off grumble: we came here last week and left after waiting 30 minutes to not deliver the drinks we ordered.
