excellent place to to go for a carvery,good choice of meat & a reasonable choice of vegetables.Jordon escorted us to our seats & our server was Zoe.

This had got to be the worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. The meat was the only nice thing on the plate. Staff were rushed off their feet. The que didn’t seem to be reducing at all. Slow service, the mash was lumpy and tasted like it was fresh out the ground and threw into a bowl, the cauliflower was raw and tasted awful, the Brussels were flavourless and they were also raw. Then the yorkies- they looked as if they had been smashed about, sat on and dragged around the car park before entering the building. The roasties weren’t much better than the mash it’s self. It took some one 30 minutes before they came over and asked us if we wanted the bill and to take away the plates.Used to come here atleast once a month for a dinner with my boyfriend, and we will not be returning. Disappointed.

Mother's day. We have been to this Toby Carvery many times, so we decided to take our elderly parents out for lunch on Mother's day. We booked online which was very easy. I got confirmation by text to my phone. We arrived on time as was taken to our table we were served by Tracey F who was very professional in every way. We enjoyed a lovely Carvery and would recommend this establishment every time. Well done again Toby.

As usual staff excellent, only problem there were no roast potatoes ready at all at 1245,had to wait 10 mins when a few brought to our table by Tracey who was excellent.

Wonderful choice of food, from Carvery to individual choice. Grace served us. Pleasant surroundings and choice of drinks as well.

Came for breakfast with my daughter whilst she had a study day from her gcse and the food did not dissapoint, the team were fantastic and so helpful thank you Steph, Emma and artisan

Staying at the Travelodge next door we went into Toby Newcastle airport carvery. Tried using g blue light discount card but was unable to do so as Toby nternet was slow and unable to get a qr code whilst " waiting". ( served by Jemma). Ordered wraps was advised only ciabata was left because it was so late !!! 20.20 !!!. Customers came in at 20.50 looking for a carvery - to be refused - advised "carvery closed and cleared!!!" . Which it wasn't, as staff on duty were already queing and filling their own plates at the expense of customers being denied access !!!. Notwithstanding the staff taking home meals in tinfoil!! Went to use toilets in the resturant which was closed and redirected to use bar toilets as resturant toilets had been cleaned earlier and now closed. !!!. Being disabled, the resturant toilets were nearest - had to leave where we were dining to go round to bar toilets at other end of the premises. At 21.20 they were clearing up and hoovering around us whilst we were finishing our meal and having a drink. Service was a disgrace. Won't be back.

Family visit included my 18 month old granddaughter. Asked for a small plate so she could share our!!! Carvery. Been told we could only have a small plastic bowl for extra charge. Very inattentive server Steven, had to ask 3x for the bowl, despite him chatting to colleagues. Didn't get a spoon despite having asked again 3x, she had to eat with a big fork from neighbouring table. Very greedy on the meat!!! Limited choice of veg. What we did have was good, could have just been a slightly!!!bigger meatportion, not only a waverthin scrap.Just ashame about bad service.

Received a warm welcome when entering the establishment. It was a cold day and the waitress placed me next to a roaring fire. After ordering a drink I then joined the queue to receive my carvery meal. There was a good selection of meats on offer and a wide ranging choice of vegetables. The meal was excellent and very tasty. Upon completion I was offered a dessert which again had s wide ranging choice. I opted for the Christmas pudding. Wow it was fantastic, the pudding melted in my mouth and together with the custard made it more enjoyable. Coffee was then served and all for under £17, which was terrific value. I certaiy will be going there again. With a special mention to the waitress Stephanie who was kind and courteous throughout.

Two of us enjoyed a good lunch here, we both opted for the Salmon which was served with a slightly spicy sauce. You still help yourself to the carvery for vegetables which were all freshly topped up and hot. Service was efficient from friendly waitresses. We will certainly be returning at a some point in future.

Been looking forward to going with the grandsons and omg really disappointed goes to say it in 1 we will not be back. Bacon looked and tasted like leather. beans stone cold and they want you 2 stay apart from people yes I agree but instead of letting people get what they want on there plates to stops them from going back and forth you were only allowed 2 sausages and 2 bacon the food looked as it had been cooked for hours

Cold veg and gravy, small portion of fatty beef, the worse meal out I have ever had. How does this restaurant survive, staggeringly bad, do not go.

I can only say the food looked as though it had been thrown on the plate and it was clay cold ,its not as though it was busy the kitchen staff just don't seem to care will never go back there,

We came in for a Sunday dinner we were asked do you live together to which one of the staff members replied ‘OF COURSE OF COURSE’, In a sarcastic rude tone, which is just beyond rude. we are 3 students that live in the same household and we told them we lived together. I think it’s rude to assume we don’t, they were clearly bothered about it. The service was just disgusting and they stood round talking and touching if they were so clearly bothered about socially distancing then they would be taking precautions, and not messing on with each other. we also heard them talking about us which is not professional and very unwelcoming, we waited around 20 mins for the card machine I will be taking my carvery cravings elsewhere. What looks like a manager he is clearly unprofessional (black shirt with glasses)

Lovely food, good service, extremely good value under the August eat out deal. Felt safe with the social distancing measures.

Visited tonight (Sat 29@1900) when we arrived at the carving deck. Took a very miserable chef somewhat 10 mins to finish what he was doing before we were even acknowledged. The food thrown onto plates and even with my king size potion the meat very small. When I enquired if this was surely not the amount of meat for a king size with a slur he told me know he likes to put it all then put more on. It was barley anything the slices thinly slice and just thrown on. Considering how it use to be and my recent visit to another Toby this was particularly poor. Such a shame as I visited so many times when I was growing up.

Mis amigos y yo hacemos que esta mañana nos pongamos al día, desayunamos y cuppa otros toman el refresco ambas bebidas son de recarga ilimitada es encantador y el desayuno es increíble la primera vez que fuimos a tomar una salsa de yorkshire y desayuno, pensé que era extraño, pero es increíble toca y sabe muy bien y es tan barato comer tanto como quieras y hay una tostadora con pan blanco o integral.

Nadie le dio un segundo pensamiento al cliente. Creo que la cocina estaba teniendo una fiesta ya que el ruido y la risa de allí era mucho mejor que el restaurante. Los alimentos . . . . . Pedí un entrante. "Pollo sureño rociado con salsa BBQ" ver foto. Carvery era una broma. El pavo había terminado, pero en lugar de usar la bandeja para moverlo, el chef (cocinero) lo recogió con las manos. En este punto me fui. Realmente no me gusta McDonalds, pero comeré allí esta noche. Tiene que ser mejor que Toby Carvery. Deja de tratar a las personas como si no importaran. No es de extrañar que los restaurantes cierren. Consigue un agarre. Como cliente tenemos dinero para gastar. También tenemos piernas para caminar. Realmente espero que esto recupere la gestión. ¡Toby Carvery sin un Carvery! ! ! No hay opciones alternativas en el menú que no sean sándwiches o envolturas. Optado por el sándwich club de Turquía. Se le informó que no tenían tocino, que no había mantequilla en el sándwich, ni mayonesa, relleno sin sabor, media lechuga y una rodaja de tomate. Esto fue servido con un plato de salsa, pudín de yorkshire y papas asadas. Completa el desperdicio de dinero ya que la mayor parte se dejó en el plato. Tenía un vaso de Pepsi que estaba aguada. Muy decepcionado y definitivamente no volveré allí

Beef at the carvery was a very big let down. Play safe and go for either pork, turkey or gammon. Unfortunately the beef was inedible. Hopefully Toby Kingston park will address this issue🙁

If you want meat on your plate this is not the place to be.I was given half a slice of beef in bits and at a coast of £10 really felt ripped off

Where do I start.......I used to love a Toby carvery and didn't think anywhere else could beat it but since changing their menu it's all bone a bit random. We always order a carvery meal and the meat selection is consistently good but vegetable choice has definitely decreased. You get your usual mash and roasties and theres another new potato dish, I like potato but really is it necessary to have this many and there was a weird mushy tomato thing (for a Sunday roast!?). The stuffing wasn't good, the Yorkshire puddings a bit flat and they are usually amazing! It would benefit from some more actual vegetables like turnip, cabbage etc.

En el menú hay 4 platos de patata, 1 puré de papas 2 patatas asadas en goteo 3 papas asadas clásicas ¿4 papas en rodajas finas en salsa? ?¿Por qué toda esta patata? ¿Por qué no intercambiar una papa asada por nabo o judías verdes? ¿Cambiar el puré por brotes? ¿Se te ocurre la idea, pero espera, hay otro plato que no pertenece a ninguna parte cerca de un asado, básicamente fueron tomates enteros que se cocinaron hasta una consistencia extraña? Nunca he visto eso en mi vida, horrible, entonces está el queso macarrones? ? Macarrones ch ch cheeses? ? Este no es un hombre de Taybarns.Las carnes son todas acertadas, pero el precio ha subido de nuevo desde 7. 95 o algo así como 10. 09 p, a todos nos encanta ir al toby, pero si no quieres perder la costumbre, ordena algunos de tus platos y ten un poco más de variedad.

Was taken for my 56th birthday. What a treat. A great price for good food, good service and comfortable surroundings. The food speaks for itself and your choice is governed only by your stomach size. Our server was Beth who was very attentive and friendly.At the prices charged you will find it hard to beat for a classic meat(s) and 2 ( more like 6) veg. I recommend whole heartedly.

Came here for the first time along with my husband, the food was beautiful and the staff friendly. Would highly recommend.

We enjoy our start to the day/break with a wholesome breakfast and also enjoy their carvery. With my husband being gluten free he can have everything that is natural and the vegetarian gravy is g/f also. It was yummmmmmy !!!

We go here with regularity mid week for a car very roast lunch. Often by ourselves as a couple or with friends. We all think it is excellent value,fresh vegetables in abundance, good choices of roasts. Can't be beaten for value.

Trató todo lo que quisieras o puedes conseguir en un plato. No estoy seguro si hacen opciones vegetarianas (probablemente sólo tengo que preguntar) pero la única queja que tengo es el precio de todo lo que pueda comer El desayuno no incluye café, que es otro 2 para recargas ilimitadas personalmente prefiero pagar un poco más por el desayuno e incluir café, pero parece que cada donde vas estos días siempre hay algo extra por solo un par de quid que debería haber sido incluido

Después de usar el nuevo asador, que recientemente se ha abierto a una milla de distancia en Woolsingham unas cuantas veces en las últimas dos semanas, llegará el momento de regresar a este Toby.

Mi novia y yo fuimos allí para una comida de San Valentín y resolví todo antes de ir allí el martes, nuestra mesa estaba lista y utilicé un cupón para mí y mi comida de novia y el personal fue muy servicial y nos dieron nuestras bebidas y fuimos por nuestro Carvery y podría obtener las 4 comidas y llena nuestra comida con verduras y pudín de Yorkshire y la comida era de primera clase y no podía comer un pudín porque estaba lleno, nos pusimos cola de dieta y pudimos rellenarlos, gran día para el Día de San Valentín y planeando volver

Food was good visited here a few times and will return again, staff are always friendly and helpful and service is fast

We used to love this place as you were always guaranteed an excellent carvery. On our last two visits the turkey was fatty and inedible so I wont be visiting again.

If you can cope with the appalling table manners and greed of some of the diners this is an excellent restaurant if you are hungry. The staff are friendly and the turkey is always moist.

Lovely staff, lovely food, always clean. It is our favourit place to go on our first night after many hours of travelling from Southend up to Newcastle. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble for them!

The lady working beheind the bar had the worst manners ever very abrupt and rude. The other staff were fine though and food and drink were very nice. But this one woman completley spoiled our experience

We were looking for somewhere to eat and thought that we'd try here. Our server was very attentive but the chef left us waiting for quite a time, did not seem very engaged and the food was cold. So, overall, not a great experience

Regularly visits to this establishment have never been anything but a pleasure-I it's very popular so you may have a short wait to be seated-the choice of carved meat is plentiful and the quality first class there are various and delicious vegetables-top class Yorkshire puddings and a variety of gravies-if you can manage the puddings are lovely -good selection of beers and wines -ample parking and excellent service

On the morning of my wedding me my dad and two bridesmaids went for breakfast known it was going to be a long time till we got fed at 5 I clock! !! It was absolutely delicious bacon eggs toast beans that was me plenty of tea n coffee my dad had sausage bacon and eggs the vegetarian bridesmade had toast egg n tomatoes and the other bridesmade had the full works well worth every penny kept us full till tea thank you Toby carvery u get a 10 out of 10 hope to visit u sooni

Has gone down hill and is becoming like a works canteen.The place is a meeting room for workmen who have just finished and want a few beers and their tea. High viz and work boots are the dress code. Food OK . Cheap as Chips (But no chips)Will not be back soon.You know management take no notice or take no action as there have been no response/comments at the end of any Trip Adviser Reviews.

We're The Toby at least once a week and are usually more than happy.However We have noticed that things seem to be slipping.Food and service are generally good, but oh dear, the clientele.We have seen more and more workmen in very dirty clothes, high vis vests and even tool belts. Not just this, but the language is not what you want to hear, especially if you have children with you.Table manners are non existent.. Yesterday we saw two dirtier dressed workmen carrying a pile of Yorkshire Puddings which wouldn't fit on their plates. These were plonked on the table and eaten with the left hand whilst food from their plates was shovelled in with their right.Surely there should be some sort of dress code and workmen should eat in the bar area?

Visited on easter sunday, very busy, long queues for the carvery, waiting for meat. Although on a plus side the staff were great and tried their best to meet the demands

I visited for coffee and a cooked breakfast with friends. You order at the bar and serve yourself once ready (unlimited hot drinks once you buy one and buffet style hot food) There's everything there that you would expect (bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms etc) and you can also get freshly made toast. The toast can take a little while if there's a few people waiting as there is only one grill available to use. The facilities are warm and clean and there are plenty of parking spaces available to.

Just what we needed on New Years Day to sort us out! Although the restaurant was busy the quality of food was not affected one bit. Everything was well cooked, presented and fresh. Staff pleasant and eager to please. We will certainly be back.

This place seems to exist for people who eat a lot of mash and roasties And big Yorkshire puddings etc etc..its worth going just to watch the waddlers seeing how much they get on one plate..the reason there are so many different gravies and sauces is the food is as bland as it gets.....still as long as they sell stretch pants they'll keep coming

Although this restaurant was very busy the staff were very attentive and offered good customer service.There was 4 in our party and 3 wanted the carvery and I asked for the salmon alternative,this was advertised as being in a cream sauce and when I explained that I was dairy free, they said-no problem and cooked a fresh salmon fillet.This was served at the same time as everyone else's. The whole meal was delicious for everyone.

This Toby maintains a reliable standard with their food. They also offer a smaller plate for smaller appetites or pensioners. The staff are friendly and helpful and the restaurant is well kept

arrived here to a good atmosphere and a long wait however that didnt bother us so we waited around 45 minuites with a drink then we were sat down,i had turkey which was very nice and all the veg was fresh unlike other tobys i have been to.the meal itself was nice and the pudding was also good.all in all a cheap eats carvery offering british sunday lunch food

We were here on a Sunday evening and there were a lot of people who wanted to have dinner here. We had to wait 15 minutes before there was a table available. There was not a lot you could choose, the food was good and what you expected for the price.

We chose to eat here while staying at the nearby Novotel. The carvery was OK but the pork and beef were a bit dry. The restaurant was let down by poor service

The Toby does an outstanding job of providing a traditional roast dinner at a very reasonable cost. There were four meats on offer - turkey, gammon, beef and pork - and a vast selection of vegetables which were perfectly cooked, nothing mushy. You can help yourself to as much as you like of these.

Its a Toby! If you like roasts with all the trimmings this is the place for you. Skilled chefs carving large and tasty bits of meat very thinly and then all the veg you can manage on big plates!There are salads and one salmon dish. But if you are hungry and are prepared to queue for your meal and like vegetables at a rock bottom price then there is little to beat them

Great value and decent quality for the price. Less than £7 for all you can eat breakfast and refills on coffee. Definitely going here again as it's cheaper and better than the McDonald's down the road and you can eat in a nicer place. Always plenty tourists-types there for one event or other, I presume staying at one of the many local hotels, but also I notice a few regulars (like myself) which speaks for itself.Plenty parking and worth the walk from Kingston Park Metro.

After dining at The Toby since it opened. I was sadly disappointed to find the carvery has gone down hill. The meat was cooked lovely and I found the vegetables cooked fantastic. However the portion size of the meat was small and the verity of the vegetables very poor. Please could you bring back the old Toby, then we will return

The Sunday lunches are okay. But could do with much more flavour. Pretty bland, but you do get large portion sizes & at a reasonable price. Busy place for an average meal.

We were greeted & seated quite quickly given how busy it was the table was clean & the waitress nice.We all had a carvery there was the usual assorted meats beef,Turkey, gammon etc heaps of veg gravey & condiments & Yorkshire Puddings.The portions were huge they could do with bigger plates...We were stuffed & didn't have pudding although there was a fair choice, the bill was inexpensive as there was a few of us.All said no complaints oh & the beer is canny as well.

Have been a fan of The Toby for quite some time, however on our recent visit for lunch we weren't that impressed. Shown to our table fine by a very pleasant waitress, not too busy which I like. Firstly, although it was quite late in the day, it seems that the chef's serving meat are never very happy, perhaps it had been a long day for him, but I've always thought the same about the chef's here... they never look very happy! Anyway, when selecting our food, everything just seemed a little limp, soggy and some dried up, even the gravy was just warm. On sitting, our food was just say warm and stone cold by the time I waded my way through what was edible. Such a shame as I usually really enjoy the food here.

We went here for lunch with the kids and it wasn’t bad at all. The staff seemed pretty busy… despite there not being an awful of customers. Delays were a frequent occurrence and we were not waited on regularly by the staff for more drinks or to ask of our meal quality. It’s quite a hectic environment and rather dim. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The veg was OK and the meat looked better than it tasted but for the price, we’d go again and advise others to give it a try.

No meat at carvery (scraps ) hardly any veg and what was left was soggy , have been here hundreds of times and had great meals , this occasion has put us both off and will never return

Myself and my husband went to Toby carvery for breakfast - I picked up a plate from the servery to find it had food remnants all over the back as I went through every plate in the stack they were all the same! I asked for clean ones but was not greeted very well by the staff! No apology was made. I paid for a refill tea but after finishing my first cup the tea/coffee machine had been switched off so I was unable to refill - the food itself wasn't too bad until I got a mouthful of soil from the unwashed mushrooms. My husband likes his food but even he agreed with the terrible quality and service. The waitress with purple hair didn't acknowledge us until we were actually leaving, she was unco-operative when my husband asked if we could sit at the booth she was cleaning. We won't be returning here!

Toby is a great place for breakfasts and lunch... carverey is excellent value as is breakfast. staff are always pleasant and service good.

Well went for a Carvery last night. There were no straws at the bar, the barmaid gave us a spoon to mix drinks so no mixers either. We were then seated for our meal we asked if we could order starters the waitress had no pen or notepad she then came back with a pencil and a napkin to write our orders there was eight of us what a joke. Then 2 plates of ordinary bread arrived on the table to have with soup, really what happened to bread rolls. The Carvery was okay all looked a bit messy if I am honest. The waitress we had was efficient so no concerns with that. Would I go back well no not to this Toby its really went down hill maybe a new manager required to sort it out. I will return to Toby Carvery in Washington in my opinion the better one but quite a distance to travel.

Stayed at the Novotel next door, but decided to walk round to the Toby Carvery for a pint and a meal. For those of you staying in the hotel, although the Toby is adjacent, it's separated by a wire perimeter fence.Service was excellent, though a limited menu. The fact that the place was very busy at 5.00 pm on a Friday afternoon shows how popular it is

My husband and myself went for breakfast Friday morning it was disgusting, inedible and filthy coffee and tea area was swimming in slop’s, toast just left abandoned and cluttering the area, chef miserable and disinterested my advice DON’T BOTHER go elsewhere

We called in late on a Wednesday afternoon. We opted for the 2 courses at £6.99. The meats were cooked to perfection and there was a good variety of vegetables. For desserts we chose the banofee sundae and the moist treacle pudding with a bottomless jug of custard. These were to die for!I had a soft drink which you can refill as many times as you like.The staff were very friendly too.We will definitely return.

Had breakfast here this morning, what a disappointment...no scrambled eggs, bacon like shoe leather & swimming in grease/liquid?, fried eggs like bullets, instant coffee in a container for you to make your own, not good at all. Not a patch on Washington where we usually go. Won't be returning.

Let's start with the good points: it is cheap, very handy for a Travelodge and the service was quick. People if they so wish can have tattoos all over their body, it is afterall their body, it's just that I don't want to be confronted by them, the “chef” on the carvery seemed to be covered in the things. The food for the most part consisted of four roasts which I suppose is what a carvery does. However there was a list of vegetarian alternatives. Don't be fooled by this, only one seems to be available each day. My wife chose Nut Roast Wellington and said it tasted better than it looked which was fortunate. The vegetable selection was for the most part inedible. The carrots tasted like cardboard and were only lukewarm How do you make cauliflower tough? This lot managed it. I opted for the roast beef which was cooked to death. The wine was satisfactory, but then all they needed to do was to open the screw-cap. Because it was so handy for the Travelodge, we had breakfast there next morning. This was better than the fiasco of the previous dinner. But!!! Although we chose NOT to have it, the breakfast coffee consisted of a dish of instant coffee powder and hot water. In future, if a Toby Carvery is the only place to eat, I'll buy a couple of packets of crisps

Pleasant surroundings and nice food. We all had the carvery which was really nice. A good night was had by all!

Been here a few times, usually during the week as weekends very busy, and always enjoyed it. Lovely homemade roast dinners with choice of meats and you can choose more than one if you want. The Yorkshire puddings are huge and veg perfectly cooked and delicious. Also the gravy etc is lovely, and you can go back for veg as many times as you like. Value for money is second to none, and I would highly recommend this place.

I go the the Toby regularly with my family and I have to say its one of the best places I have been to especially for a Carvery. Usually you pay loads at different restaurants for A Carvery but at the Toby you get loads and it only costs you £6-£7 and that's even going large!! There's a lovely homely feel there and it's just so relaxed you can enjoy your meal. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Myself and 9 friends went to the toby carvery kingston park today for dinner only to be absolutely disgusted and appauled by the staff, the food and not forgetting the fact the prices were doubled due to it being a bank holiday! To be precise, the so called waiter 'James' had zero customer service skills, a stinkkng attitude and the inability to use simple math skills in order to settle the bill. The meat carver was as miserable as sin and had as much life in him as a dry teabag.Safe to say we will NOT be returning and i will be taking the complaint further. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

My nine year old son slipped flat on his back in an inch of filthy water covering the toilet floor. The toilet is right next to the food area so people were trailing this filth out with them onto the carpet. My son narrowly avoided a potentially serious head injury. An older or infirm person may not have been so lucky. Staff and the apparent area manager no less showed little concern as my son stood covered in filthy dripping clothes crying his eyes out. Our planned day out wad ruined. I took my family home and returned to demand that the incident was recorded in the accident book which they were reluctant to produce. I mever received any form of apology in fact they further insulted us by insisting that the toilets were inspected regularly - ha ha maybe by a blind water rat. Needless to say l will never return. This establishment is a blight on the Toby brand.

My son often treats me to lunch and this is one of our favourite places to eat. Excellent value for money with a good choice of meats and vegetables. The Yorkshire puddings are delicious - and they give you the recipe! Friendly service in homely surroundings.

i went to the toby for a sunday dinner and it did not disappoint ,roast beef and pork plenty of veg and roast potatoes not forgetting the giant yorkshires.we did have to wait for about 15 mins for a table but we just got drinks at the bar.food very nice and tasty will be back soon

Long wait but got there in the end. Tasty and hot ... but I think they must train there staff how to cut meat as thin as possible. Friendly staff .. nice puddings ... worth watching out for the offers in the press ...

Superb breakfast £3.99 plus £1.99 for tea or coffee. Great value. Staff fantastic, friendly smiling and helpful. Ate there every morning whilst in the area.

My wife and I love Toby Carvery, it is difficult to drive past them and this branch is no exception. Great food, great price. As usual due to their popularity it was busy and we had a 10 minute wait before we got a table.

Good choice of food, reasonably priced. Gorgeous dessert menu! Nice atmosphere, busy but weren't kept waiting.

close to the travel lodge for food and drink .saves you sitting in your room all night.Drinks not bad price too.

the first night was much better that the secound with different staff, so if you drop on the good staff you will be fine, the prawn cocktail is gorgeous, no cucmber or tomato just lettuce, prawns and marie rose sauce. the carvery was fine amd nice crispy yorkshires, the secound nght i ordered the salmon with carvery veg, it was cold!!! when i asked for it changing the chef shrugged and said we have none left. after being offered a carvery or pork pie!!! i settled for a prawn salad. the new desserts were lovely and could recommend the chocolate toffee sundae

Im a regular at the toby carvery and always receive 5 star quality in all aspects. The cavery always tastes delicious and the staff are always very friendly. I would recommend this to everyone staying in Newcastle.

Staying at the local hotel and decided to try here for food. Nice food, although go earlier some was slightly dry as we were in quite late in the evening. Nice big portions, speedy service.

Great food, cheap but not too cheap and the pub is huge so always loads of seats available.If its warm however, they will turn on the aircon which makes it freezing inside but then Geordies have never been afraid of the cold!

The meals are good value and the staff are great but its looking jaded and as there are so many good alternatives locally don't rest on your laurels.
