Looking for a quick lunchtime stop off and came across Toast in East Street right opposite Factory No1. Wow! What a find! Ordered the Black Bean Chipotle Hash for me and Ham and local cheese sourdough toasted sandwich for my wife. Both of us were totally spoiled by the amazing flavours and use of ingredients to enhance the taste. A great place and sure to become our regular stop off! I have visited The Toast room on many occasions with my husband (and also got a couple of takeaway lunches there during lockdown) and it never disappoints. Their breakfast hash is super tasty and filling, their toasties are great (we LOVE the home fries that come with them) and yesterday I tried their salads for the first time and was not disappointed. They have many vegan options which I can confirm are really tasty too.

We are lucky enough to live just down the road from the toast room which means we can often order the incredible food and coffee. By far the best coffee in Bristol and also great food. The sausage ragu toastie is my favourite closely followed by the breakfast hash. Super friendly owners and easy to order via food and pick up!

Breakfast Hash with chorizo - Absolutely incredible. Cooked fresh and full of flavour. We will definitely be back.

We recently had lunch here and it was absolutely delicious and great value . It was spotlessly clean and had a friendly atmosphere . The salads were first class ( not something I would normally order ) and the chicken was well marinated . We couldn’t help but notice that several tables were occupied by people who had long finished their food/drinks . A shame , as I noticed people wanting to come in and I assume went elsewhere ?

I thought before we even sat down that this place had a nice vibe to it, like a family-run café but certainly not of the greasy-spoon variety. The decor is very clean with a lot of plants hanging from the walls and the tables are all different- really cool :) It was quite a wait for our food but the waitress was apologetic and explained that we had picked the Friday lunchtime rush to take a seat, whilst they were inundated with delivery orders from nearby offices. Not a problem as our whole group were on annual leave but I will be sure to pick my timing for lunch a little better next time! I had the grilled chicken and chorizo salad, which was effectively a mexican-inspired bean salad (cannellini I think?), spiced, and served with guacamole. Firstly everything was so fresh and I was surprised by the bean part of the meal; it had a kick to it and really complemented the more celebrated parts of the dish, aka, the chorizo and the chicken. I think it was pretty reasonable (less than £10 for a salad and a soft drink), would recommend more as a weekend place with pals to soak in the atmosphere.

It's been a while since my last visit which is a shame. Having enjoyed all the previous times we've been I popped in on an impromptu day off. Obviously with the virus there are steps taken to make sure people are distanced and also subscribed to the track and trace, which is very good. As per previous visits the food was great, going for the new chicken & chorizo sandwich it is packed with filling and flavour alike. The coffee was also great, definitely shouldn't leave it so long between visits.

We ordered the sourdough toasties and they were all absolutely delicious. The bread and ingredients were fresh and the little potatoes it came with were also great. The hot chocolate was lovely and rich, and the cinnamon bun was so fresh. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend as the prices are great too!
