Absolute crap! Very dirty and left our meals … the medium steak was so rare it walked off the plate to be milked and the lettuce resembled them magic fish in a Christmas cracker! Dirty unkempt place AVOID!

Tasy hot food fast service fair prices a little bit dated inside. But clean.no parking as it's in the centre. Back door is disabled freindly for scooters.

Expensive for a Madri. Music they were playing was the radio. If I could have taken my beer with me I would have done. Terrible atmosphere!

Huge portions I can never finish the whole plate. As pub grub goes it's not bad but its not great either. But their not pretending it's a 5 star restaurant. It's nice food at a nice price.

Great atmosphere service get zero of 1 hour food wait and trying to get back home we live in Derbyshire not Lincolnshire and we need to get through Nottinghamshire too so never come HERE I MEAN IT💀💀💀💀

The staff are nice and friendly , very willing to help when I asked about the menu. I wish the menu was labelled better so that vegetarian options are easier to identify. We found things to eat but unfortunately had to ask , not everyone is brave enough to ask about the options. The place was clean and tidy , dog and children friendly. We enjoyed what we ate and would definitely return

Came into tipsy cow with a friend for my 16th birthday it was an amazing experience with amazing customer service. The food came within 10 minutes and I would recommend to whoever wants to enjoy their food with family and friends

We stopped off for lunch due to going onto another venue first impression we're the floor was coverd in food and tables were in the same condition it took staff ages to clean them after customers had left when ordering food allergies were not mentioned glasses were dirty cutlery was in the same condition and as for the carvery it was uncoverd staff did not seem to be bothered

warm welcome, ordered full rack of ribs and a chicken and bacon burger, the meals we so nice big portions piping hot would go back there for sure

Highly dissappointed after being regulars here on our yearly visits to skegness this year was a huge disappointment. On queuing for carvery a plate of hot food was sat on top of a rocking hotplate by the serving chef and fell off hitting ny 4 year old boy cutting his arm and smashibg everywhere! Staff offered no support or first aid and were very unpleasant only paying attention to cleaning up!! Managment havent made any attempt to rectify the incident.

Headed in here as it was dog friendly and seemed ok from the road. We sat at one of the tables at the back of the pub just past the kitchen, not bad, old food on the floor and dirty tables but this happens as the day goes on and if there’s a rush in service etc- forgivable. Bar staff were accommodating when ordering food and pleasant. The issues came when we took a further look around at our surroundings, covered in cobwebs (spider season i know) that had taken at least a few weeks to build up, paint coming off of the walls and just in general not had a basic hoover in a while! Food came, lasagna was swimming in grease, chips were hard and one member of our party immediately felt sick after eating half of their meal and spent half of the latter end of the evening throwing up. We left immediately and would not return.

I think it is very disappointing that you reserve all the tables 😕 It should be first come first served 😉 Great place but....

Went in for food with my wife and son, Waited an hour for food to arrive that never came as order didn't go through to the kitchen, roof leaked next to us... Best think is that we got a refund. I will try in the future as really wanted to try the food

Friendly staff and nice food. I had the Scampi and my partner had steak and ale pie. The pastry cound of done with just a couple of minutes more cooking, but she still enjoyed it :)

Me and my husband went yesterday evening as it was our 2nd wedding anniversary we found this pub the last time we visited skegness and they didn't disappoint again beautiful food bug portions good price we would definitely recommend this place and saff are always friendly and welcoming thanks again.

Great pub and food was excellent had the rack of ribs and the plate was huge had a side order of onion rings thank god i didn’t go for the full option Only quarm was loads of tables were reserved all the tables bar 3 were reserved luckily there was tables upstairs but if you ordered a carvery you have have to carry it upstairs

Very generous portions of food which were of excellent quality. The only downfall was it was absolutely roasting inside and it seemed that the windows upstairs were painted shut. Thoroughly recommended, however would advise not while it is hot outside

Sister pub to the Welcome inn where I was staying in the MoHo. Had Sunday carvery here and was lovely. Beer at about £5.40 wasn't cheap but was served with a smile.

Ordered food the place was empty really had our drinks thought mmm food taking ages as we were the only ones eating oh yea order nit gone to kitchen ok have our money back left went to spoons should of gone there first bad bad

We visited twice, one for the 12 til 4 offer of 2 meals for £12 which were good size for the price if you want something quick. They were nice so went back for evening. My husband Had gammon which served on a platter and had plenty of chips and salad. I had bbq burger which was lovely plenty of sides and filled me up! Good value for money.

Order food at 1.50 still waiting for it at 3.10 excuse order didn't go through no apogly and no discount staff couldn't care less

Didn't enjoy my visit here. Thought it was a bit rough, damaged furniture and seating, bad language from some clients, some of whom didn't even know how to hold a knife and fork. I won't go again. Shame because the staff are very pleasant.

Went for Sunday carvery, so slow in serving its ridiculous, food bang average and pub dreary and not the cleanest

Got to start off by saying we have been on previous visits and food had been great. We both ordered a burger and chips, comes with side salad, bit of sweetcorn and coleslaw. Well if burgers are cooked fresh would like to know how as food was on table in less than 5mins. Mine was edible but wife burger was so hard couldn't even get folk in it, I tried too to check she wasn't exaggerating. She informed the waitress who said she would have a word in kitchen, we expected someone to come to us but noone did so after about 20 mins we walked out, unfortunately you pay when ordering. We had come into the pub staff wasn’t welcoming at all!my partner had went to order food they didn’t ask if we had an allergies which I had so I had to work out if something was okay for me! Drinks came the glasses was disgusting and drinks tasted off so we didn’t get another one and then food took 40 mins to come out mine came first but then fella waited for another 10 mins for his then when mine was presented it had fluff on my garlic bread and spag Bol covered in grease and pasta over cooked and no check back was done! They had kitchen door open and it was disgusting and We will never return again as it made me really poorly due to my allergies!

My Six Yrs old Grandaughter was Served Food That She is Allergic Too Despite The Restaurant Being Adviced Of This By Her Parents and Being Assured that it's Fine Making her Very Poorly And Could Have Been Much Worse And No Apology Taking the Matter Further

Would not recomend my daughter who has allergies was given food containing the products she is allergic too I asked for the allergy information for her and was told she could have the spag Bol it came and with garlic bread I asked the lady if she could have the bread with her allergy she said yes it’s fine I checked so my daughter tucked in for another lady to come and take the food away as the garlic bread had the product allergy in! My little girl was very unwell through the night because of this!! Would never go back!

A great experience. Food took a little longer to come out, about thirty minutes, but we were advised of this before hand. Food was delicious. I only had the cheesy chips and as soon as I saw my husbands fish and chips and my sons cottage pie, I regretted it!! My food was great, although a little greasy, but theirs was gorgeous. My son demolished the cottage pie and he doesn’t usually eat much when out so that is testament itself. We will definitely return when in the area again!

Drinks served quickly at a very competitive price. Food came fairly quickly, we had two meals for £12, good value especially if you wanted to feed a family. Would return.

On a family holiday with friends we nipped in for our tea. Ordered quite easily, after a short wait all 6 meals arrived. 2 of which had mouldy bread so they were sent back immediately apologised asked what else they could make them so we got a refund for those meals. We checked the bread on the remaining meal with bread and it was fine. Until 3 bites into the burger a big black hair was in it. Once again returned and refund acquired for that and my own meal because I didn't want to eat there anymore (pie crust was huge and just broke down anyway, cold lumpy microwave mash and chewy steak) the only thing that was fine was the 2 portions of sausage, smiley faces and beans. But I mean if you can make a mess of those kids meals you should hang your chef's apron up! We also witnessed the chef not wearing any PPE not hair nets considering he had long hair and beard and was walking around sniffling wiping his face then heading straight back to the kitchen

Ended up here as we couldn't decide where to go. Food was amazing will definitely come here again

Waited nearly 90 minutes for 2 toasted baguettes and a salad. Soft drinks were warm and flat. Garlic bread was soaked in grease.

Me and my elderly friend called in here Sunday tea time . We both ordered a baguette which came with side salad and crisps . The staff were friendly and the service was good

First impressions wasn't great as soon as we entered. We should of turned round and went else where. Myself and two friends ordered a mixture of meals. Which consisted of jacket potato with prawns. Chicken burger and a rack of ribs. The drinks were flat. No fizz to them. The prawns had a odd taste to them. Half way through I found a long hair hidden in my side salad. I was obviously very put off by my findings and stopped eating. I was going to make the staff aware after my friends had finished there meals. my friend with the ribs found a hair in hers. By this point my other friend was concerned for her meal and pulled her salad apart to find a hair also hiding in hers. All three meals all had long hair hidden in the salad. We don't go out complaining hoping for a free meal on anyone. But our concerns were made aware to a member of staff who reported this back to the kitchen who offered us free pudding. We declined the offer as we was seriously put of anything else coming out the kitchen. We're hard working girls who likes a bit of lunch out now and again as a treat. We don't normally complain or knock anyone but on this occasion a review for anyone thinking of eating here give it a wild birth unless you like hairy food.

Arrived 5 minutes before they stopped serving food and accepted our order, but the lasagne was still cold in middle, so out of freezer Into the microwave.

Ordered a pint and half of lager, took 1 sip and left the rest. The place is dark and dingy and needs a good refurbishment. Headed across the road to witherspoon. We're the beer was 100% better and about £2 cheaper for the round.

Food caked in the deep fryer tasted horrible no taste proced food floor all dirty and toilets makes me sick and the cups had food all round it DONT GO THERE!

Sadly the 24oz Tomahawk Steak was not available on the day (Good Friday) that I visited Tipsy Cow. I looked again at the menu and selected the 1 kilo mixed grill. YES, one kilo. There are many other appealing items on the menu. There weren't many in when I arrived at around 11.40 but it was crowded by the time I left. I did ask if I could take the remains of my meal home with me. A member of staff brought me a large enough piece of kitchen foil. (The remains ((weighing 400g)) served as a very hearty breakfast, today). I'm pleased to say that the rest of my day went extremely well and the weather was kind to me. I might have liked to spend more time in Skegness on the day but that would have meant being caught in occasional heavy rain 🌧.

Ordered chilli con carne. Got tinned gravy with 4 kidney beans. Wasn't worth 1 star or the £13.95 I paid.

Dirty fries, processed chips swimming in sweet bbq sauce and cheese, waitress offering other diner's meals regardless of table numbers when ordering. Toilets disgusting had we smelt the fish and chips on offer upstairs, we definitely wouldn't have eaten there.

They have a gluten free menu and do a two meal for 12 pounds Monday to Friday .

Barmaid was was not welcoming like she didn't want to be there atmosphere was non exisistent place looked tired wasn't a pleasant experience

"The Tipsy Cow" is always a favourite for my husband and I. We are having a couple of days away from home for a nice break since getting married last November. Not very busy, probably for the time of year. However, still very nice to have some "us time" Very friendly staff, enjoyable place to have a drink

Walked in at 16:45 just for a few drinks, no staff at the bar for 5 minutes whilst we waited, eventually the bar lady came and didn’t greet us nor did she smile and very much was just wanted to get rid of us, i would rate 0 stars if i could for service but i can’t drinks are severely overpriced for a pint of Lemonade i paid £3.80, toilets are dirty with human waste everywhere, toilet roll not replenished in either cubicals.

We dropped in for a coffee and saw the carvery was on .. it looked great so we were tempted. Best carvery in a while. The server was very generous with the portions. Great food Great price We coming back next week from Bourne.

We stopped off for a drink. It was ok, but whole place needed updating and was generally grubby. Used the disabled toilet which didn't look like it had been cleaned properly for a long time. Dont think I would want to eat here. Sorry if this seems harsh, but felt it necessary to mention. The location was good, and accessibility suitable for all.

Called in on a Sunday lunch time and had a lovely Sunday roast, plenty of choice and good service.

We had the carvery for five people good selection of meats generous portion given by the chef. Vegetables were hot and again good selection. Would highly recommend and great value!

This pub food was worst ive ever tasted .i reakon they pay peole to put excellent reviews on here because beleive you me it is awful dont waste your money on this terrible food try elsewere.

It's weird when you read the reviews for the place and they are so different from your own experience. Well we went there three times because it was good, cheap and friendly. Twice of a lunchtime and once of an evening when they were clearing up. They were all young staff, cheerful and accommodating. Tables were sprayed after use. Yes, not all tables had the required amount of cutlery and condiment sachets, but we just leant over to another table and took from there. I cannot remember all the meals we had, but I enjoyed a huge baked potato with copious amounts of prawns in a rose marie sauce. Hubby enjoyed a pie. The third time we ate 2 meals for £12 and they were great. Fish (no skin on and delish) and chips and my friend enjoyed her gammon. They have specials on too. Also it's dog friendly, which means a lot to us and water was brought over. No complaints whatsoever.

Unusual shape pub inside, food available, front and rear entrances. Usual tap beer, no real ale. Toilets were upstairs. Beer was good and the staff were friendly. Enjoyed my visit.

Went here for lunch with my parents on the 6th of September while on holiday in skegness and was not impressed we ordered food and was told there was a 30 minute wait we didn't mind but we were waiting an hour and a 15 minutes before the food arrived and had watched others who came in after us get served before us there was only 1 young women who was friendly and approachable and went in the kitchen to find out what was going on with our meals when asked the rest of the staff were miserable and put you off asking we had to help ourselves to cutlery as none had been given till 10 minutes after our food had arrived and when it did arrive the food was nearly cold and the bun of the burger i had ordered was burnt and couldn't be eaten most of the food was left spoke to someone later in the day where i was staying and he said the same thing terrible service and food avoid this place and go elsewhere

The place needs a deep clean it disgusting you wipe your feet after been in there flys all over I don’t just mean a few flys there is loads gave me a drink with a dead fly in it got tolled just take it out of your drink food let’s just say if you want food poisoning then eat there had to upset my kid by saying don’t eat it waste of £40 never will I ever go in this place again never have I felt so sick just after a little bite of the food don’t go here they will end up killing somone

100% DEFINITELY the best steak I have ever eaten out. So succulent and tasty and tender. The homemade onion rings and chips are phenomenal too. Amazing service and great choice of drinks. Truly a diamond of an eatery and an honour to have found such amazing food so close to the usual (average) coastal restaurants.

This seemed a nice place to maybe have a drink or two, cheap and cheerful, but unfortunately after eating here I had a very upset tummy overnight. The service was very quick and staff very friendly

Originally went for a carvery so called on the morning to book. Was easy to book in however when we arrived, the sight of the carvery put us off and we ordered off the menu instead. All the meat and veggies were covered in tin foil and looked as if they had sat there for quite a while. We waited to be seated and when we were, the floor needed a good sweep and the tables needed a wipe down. There were a good selection of sauces however no cutlery on the table and when our starters arrived none was brought over. I had to go and steal cutlery and serviettes from a table on the other side of the pub. On the topic of starters, when they came they were hot and tasted good however we weren't given any side plates (or as previously mentioned serviettes) which are crucial when eating chicken wings dripping in sauce. Once I had finished these I popped upstairs to the toilets to wash my hands and the seating upstairs had dirty plates and glasses on the tables that hadn't been cleared away and plastic fruitshoot bottles littered the stairs. I didn't actually use the bathroom so can't comment on the toilets themselves but sink area wasn't the best, tap wouldn't stay on and one of the soap dispensers were empty. Mains were okay and arrived quickly, however the person I was eating with had a large chunk of gristle all through their meat. And they had asked for pineapple instead of egg which was ignored, and the salad was limp (corners of the lettuce going brown, cucumber dry, etc). My main was nice and portion sizes are large. No check back from staff to ask how food was either - not necessary but would have been a nice touch and could have remedied the issues we had found. Overall, it wasn't a ruin-the-holiday experience but I would not go again, nor recommend to anybody.

The food was disgusting I almost said the chef wants sacking cottage pie had no roof on it and spaghetti bolognaise was the worst I've ever tasted very poor I wouldn't recommend this place was awful

Miserable staff, dirty place and dearest drinks in Skegness so far...that's John Smith and fruit cider, nothing special!!!
