It’s wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst

Researched places for breakfast close to Butlin’s and this did not come up. The ones that did had not updated their opening times. I was so glad I came across this place. It was obviously a local place and I parked for free outside of it. The service was brilliant even though she was on her own she did not make me feel that anything was too much trouble. I’ve not had this type of service in the whole of Skegness on this visit. The food was better than all the more expensive places I had been to. I could order what I wanted and 3 of us ate for around £10. I am definitely going back the rest of the week. I would highly recommend if you want cheap cheerful and good food.

Been going here for years menu changed this year no longer do an evening meal mostly just snack meals and the portion sizes are like kids meals at adult prices

Nice food and great views, a little pricey, seeing as you can walk ten mintues down the front and get a carvey from the boathouse cheaper than you can get a breakfast for

Eggs had worms in it and mushrooms on my plate hid in my beans horrid worst I have ever had

After previous holiday couldn't wait to eat a full monty breakfast Full for about 5 hours

Arrived at 5:25 pm for an evening meal. Whilst looking at menu was told if your eating be quick we close in 20 mins. I had cheese burger and chips. Obviously cooked very fast. The burger was cold and so were the onions and the chips under cooked. Wife had egg and chips and a milk shake that was warm. Came to £19 pounds. Won’t be there again

Arrived just after 5:30 pm to have a quick meal. Whilst looking at menu was rudely told if your eating order quick we close in 29 mins. I had a burger and chips and my wife egg and chips (they didn’t have ham) the chips were undercooked the burger cold my wife’s milkshake warm. We left most of the chips.

A great little cafe, just off the beach with free parking right outside. A bit 'old school', with a 70s vibe, but that's a bonus. Good honest food and very reasonable prices. Dog friendly (just keep them off the seating). Very recommended, as is Winthorpe Beach as a whole.

Waited 40 mins for it be served , had to order extra brews while we waited , the grill what they did the bacon and eggs on looked like it had never been cleaned . When It did come eventually after I politely asked what number they was up to and was rudely interrupted by this scrawny woman who clearly was In need of a wash. It wasn't that bad. Would I go again for something to eat . No No No !!!!!

Went in for a late lunch. Had a sausage, egg and bacon bap that was delicious, friends both had hot dogs that were great too!

Was served by little weed. Had to rush breakfast because the gardener was on his way back. (If your old enough, you'll know)😆😆

Ordered sausage and chips both was undercooked sausage wasn’t too bad but the chips may as well have been frozen still

Went in for four days for Full English Breakfast amd one day for early evening meal. Good choice of main meals and snacks. The food is good quality, well cooked. The atmosphere is friendly, even the lady that others say rarely smiles is polite and friendly and does have a lovely smile when she does. Excellent value for money, right on the beach, dog friendly, open from 8am, when it gets busy with dog walkers.

Always pop in for a bite to eat.. Good prices. Lovely staff...

After a long walk and finding nothing open we came to Bill and Ben's and what a treat, will definitely be back, the food was delicious 😋

We had breakfast here when staying at the caravan club site over the road. This cafe was like walking into my childhood. Absolutely loved how retro it is. The breakfast was very nice with generous portions and nice thick bacon. My daughter had scrambled egg and they made her a small portion. Great location with wonderful views of the sea.

Called in today. Quite possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had (I've had some bead ones).

Bill & Ben's is a proper seaside cafe with a wide selection of food to choose from at reasonable prices.

For what it is its fine. Plenty of choice of food but I didn't see what vegetarian options there were.

Popped in for a cup of tea and my son had one of there cakes. The cake was big and my son said it tasted great.

Early morning visit pre 9am, very basic milkshake ( milk + flavour ). Overpriced and was warm milk, food looked nice but never ate so couldn't comment how good it actually was or what it was priced at

Dog friendly cafe, nice calm and quiet atmosphere. Food is great value and delicious, good portion sizes. The baguette was nice and crispy but soft and fluffy in the middle, it was definitely fresh. Would definitely come again, nothing like good food with a view of the sea

Prices gone up so much on food think if the staff smiled a bit the atmosphere would be better 🤔

I went for breakfast at Bill and Ben's Cafe this morning. I chose the 'All day breakfast' with a mug of tea or coffee. The cafe sells lots of other dishes too, but I do love a nice fry up. The food was lovely. I sat and enjoyed a view of the sea whilst enjoying my breakfast. Lovely little cafe, friendly staff and its also dog friendly too. Perfect place to get something nice to start the day and then have a stroll along the seafront.

Our first visit this year will be back soon for more. If you want a la carte look elsewhere but if you want a meal or breakfast while you're here looking over at the beach it's great. Yes prices are up this year but so are all prices wherever you go.

I love this place as it is everything that Skegness is. Happy to try and do my bit to keep it alive.

I moved to Ingoldmells in November & recently started to take a walk down the Beach to Bill & Bens Cafè. It is now a weekly ritual for me and my bestfriend to visit and enjoy a Full English! Food is absolutely amazing and the prices are great to say the Cafè is on the seafront .

Very basic but dog friendly, breakfast was a bit to greasy for my liking, great location, dark haired lady behind the counter could at least try smiling.There was a blonde lady in on Monday what a difference, pleasant and friendly.And constantly cleaning and tiding.

Bill & Bens is not a fine dining establishment. Decor is dated. BUT The fried breakfast and drinks are excellent value for money. I am happy to use every time i visit beach.

Nice wee seaside café, does a good English breakfast , & the BLT baguettes are nice, the milky coffees , also seels juice, snacks, cakes etc are nice, kids meals are nice, all the food is reasonably priced , plenty of benches to sit outside in the summer,

Vile beans with tomatoes juice and a slice of bacon and a frozen cheap sausage absolutely extortionate prices and rammel food charged extra for mushrooms which should be standard on a full breakfast. Prices gone higher for sh.. food. Lost our custom forever

Prices have increased considerably. When compared to cafés we visit in other areas such as Chapel St Leonards or Mablethorpe (on the sea front), Bill and Ben's and The View (same owners I am told) are becoming prohibitive. People will vote with their feet and go elsewhere.

Fed all 5 of us, price was fair the food was beautiful and decent portions. 5 empty plates. Shame no dairy free milk for my allergies but I'm used to that. Sat outside with dogs. Definitely will return. Polite friendly staff and quick service.

Lovely friendly staff breakfasts are lovely,reasonably priced where else can you get 3 decent size breakfasts and drinks for £15.

Overall bad experience, customer service was very poor and prices was extortionate! Full monty breakfast was very basic for £7.50 can only have beans or tomatoes.. extra for both, no hash browns and not the nicest of food. Not to mention my 1 year olds beans on toast cost me £4.50!! I did question this price but apparently that is a reasonable price for beans on fast for a 1 year old. Safe to say I will never be visiting this place again.

Always lovely people, food is great and you can take dogs in with you.

15 minutes wait for food only 2 of women working there the place was bit busy nice sandwich tho but was put right off when one off the women walk round to bring orders out she could av made an effort an put a clean apron scruffy is the word.

Great breakfast at good prices.

Called in following a walk along the sea front. Had full english with a cup of tea for around £5.50. Brilliant value and very tasty. Bacon was delicious and good quality. Took my little dog in which was amazing as its unusual for a food establishment to allow dogs. Going back tomorrow for another full English before setting off home.

A young girl who works there is the unhappiest woman I have ever seen at work and I have seen many. She has no manners at all and no customer service skills. She never says please or thank you. She works between the cafe and ice-cream stall opposite. She complained about making too many coffees one day. The coffee is nice, the cafe is clean but not surprising there were very few customers. The arcade next door that is attached to the cafe is just as bad. The staff in there are also unbelievably rude and unfriendly with the exception of one gentleman called Paul. Nothing was too much trouble for Paul unlike everyone else working there.

Super good old fashioned full English, excellent value at £6.50. The wife opted for the all day breakfast at a fiver which she said was sufficient, both had tea/coffee included. Friendly efficient ladies behind the counter. The sea view is a bonus.

We called here for breakfast for 4 mornings of our seaside break. It was ideal as it is dog friendly. Friendly staff took our orders and specific requests. No complaints from any of us on our visits. Food was lovely.

Stopped here for a quick breakfast. Egg on toast and a large fry up was ok. Was nice and hot.coffee and tea was reasonably priced too.

Nice clean and brilliant menu to cover most tastes. Not exspensive quick service and nice seating. Do a brilliant full english.

Went here for breakfast, food not bad, got served pretty quickly and the two younger people preparing the food were fine. The woman taking the orders at the till was fairly abrupt, straight faced and seemed distracted. The woman who brought the food to the table however was the rudest I’ve ever encountered in a cafe and practically threw the plates on the table.

We were travelling along Roman Bank and turned down Winthorpe avenue to the car park next to the sea. This a great cafe. We had milky coffee and a horlicks this time but they also do good snacks and meals.

We'd done a walk from Skegness along the seafront in the bracing air and were ready for lunch. We were going to go to the cafe opposite until we saw the prices. We had a bacon and a ham baguette here instead. They were both really good, lots of good meat on both. Prices good too, less than half of a cross the road.

Visit to Skeggy had to include a fry up before a long day of hiking. Decided upon Bill and Ben, The Full Monty Breakfast inc 2 sausages 3 large slices of bacon couple of eggs with mushrooms and beans as well as a fried bread.... all for £5.95 oh I forgot the tea! Tasted great and served by friendly staff.. what more do you want!!

waited 50 minutes for a bacon and egg cob, when asked after 20 minutes how long it will be to be told we are very busy, with no apolgies found the lady quite rude. 50 minutes later we got our cobs. the cobs were nice but not worth the 50 minute wait.

Found by accident but offer a lovely tasty breakfast! The staff were lovely and welcoming too! Just what we needed for a long journey home.

This is an excellent establishment it is not a fast food restaurant as the food is all prepared and cooked freshly so you may have to wait a little while. The menu is various and the prices are very very reasonable. The staff are very pleasant so it’s worth a visit

In my view the best cafe in the world. Typical English cafe serving no thrills food. Everything cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and the best view in the world. See you again in July

Popped in here for a coffee after a walk on the beach. Bill & Bens Cafe is a great example of how no frills cafes were and should be proud of today.

Excellent food in here, cannot fault it. you certainly never come out of here not feeling full up. Staff always nice and polite and make you feel very welcome

After purchasing food on many occasions at different times on the year. The food is always great.. that why we return. The staff are extremely miserable, not acknowledgement from them that we returned again. Serving customers seems of an inconvenience. Very disappointed yet again with the None customer service. No hello or Thank You. Your staff need to be made aware.

Just visited at 3.30pm and as a party of 7 we was turned away by a very rude lady serving told was too late to serve us.I would of thought small businesses like these need custom but obviously not very different from when we visited last year won't be 're visiting

Very rude member of staff, very little customer service and extremely unhelpful. Why work with public if you don't like people??? Food was ok for a typical greasy spoon... don't think much in the way of hygiene practices either. Would not recommend...

Friendly service good old English bacon and sausage bap with brown sauce and a large cup of coffee cheap as chips with a great view, what more could you want .

Stopped off for a Bacon butty on a whistle stop tour of my child hood haunts - I grew up right here! The service was friendly and helpful, the bacon bap tasty and great value for money. Clearly a locals meeting spot even today, which is good enough reference for anywhere - if the locals go it must be good!

I can't eat mushrooms they wouldn't swap them on a set breakfast for me. Why not. What's the difference between putting them on or a few extra tomatoes etc. Silly. I've ordered the rest of my family sandwiches so they can eat in car. So they've lost a breakfast order and the drinks we would have had if we stayed and ate in

We stopped for lunch whilst walking past. A pleasant surprise, two freshly made baguettes with salad garnish and two large cuppas! Good stuff, reasonable price, great sea views.

A cafe at the Beach end of Winthorpe Ave, clean, fresh food and pleasant staff. Prices good as well. Overlooks beach with small free parking, sells Beach goods and has the obligatory slot machines.
