The driver didn’t check the instructions, it was written to not knock on my door but he did.

Sambar was cold but other than that really good food!

The location is plus point for this place. Staff were helpful and polite. Food was good in general.

Disappointing Experience at Tiffin truck Rating: 2/5 I recently visited tiffin truck with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. Here's what went wrong: Poor Food Quality: The biryani, in particular, was a letdown. It didn't resemble the authentic Indian dish I've come to love. Both the Chicken Biryani and Lamb Biryani tasted eerily similar, lacking distinct flavors. Overpriced: The portions were small, and the prices didn't justify the quantity or quality. Temperature Issues: The food wasn't served hot, which further detracted from the experience. To improve: Serve Food Hot: Ensure that dishes are served steaming hot to enhance the overall experience. Increase Portion Size: Generous portions would justify the prices and leave customers satisfied. Enhance Flavor: Work on infusing authentic Indian flavors into your biryani dishes, distinguishing between variants.

Excellent food, very warm service!

Great service, food was good, only the butter chicken was too sweet. It was quite busy in the evening. Overall recommended, good Indian cuisine :)

We had a fantastic time yesterday at the Tiffin Truck. The service was very good, and we absolutely loved the food—especially the butter chicken and Nawabi Murgh Tikka! Highly recommended! The rasmalai and masala chai were also perfect to finish off the meal.

The lamb Pom poms were excellent!

The food quality is really good, specially the thalis. The service also really nice, specially the little girl who use to take care of all ondemand requests regarding food or services.

Great Indian food. Probably best in Cambridge

Great meal at the Tiffin Truck. Offered a choice of tables and ordered drinks while looking at the menu. Nice mix of starters or sharing dishes then a good choice of vegetarian dishes as well as meat dishes so something for everyone. Quick service but never felt rushed. A good atmosphere but it is quite noisy which we didn’t mind but could be a problem if you don’t hear well.

Terrific, vibrant restaurant close to the centre. Great atmosphere and polite service.

Tasty food, reasonably priced, buzzy Indian street food type atmosphere, quick and friendly service!

A reasonable place for a nice meal. The menu clearly indicates the dishes with allergens, which is very useful for my wife as she needs to avoid dairy and gluten products. The Junglee Mass (lamb curry) and the Chettinad Fish Curry were nice.

This is a great restaurant and has great options at very affordable rates. The best part here is their staff, which is patient, amicable and accommodative. Special shoutout to the manager Calvin, who is the main man, amazing guy!!

My group always makes sure to go to the Tiffin Truck while in Cambridge. The food is excellent and such great quality. Really enjoy the masala tea as well!! Love having meals here

Ordered once before and food was half hour late but the quality was decent. Thought I wld give it another go but this time it was over 90 minutes late. And when I called up several times I kept being told it was going to be there soon - first 15 then 10 then 5 mins. On top of this the quality was not as good and most of it was cold.

The restaurant's clean and festive ambiance, blending Indian and local holiday decor, created a unique and inviting atmosphere. It was evident that the proprietors poured their heart and soul into their food and service. We even picked up some delectable Indian sweets for friends on our way out. The food was cold, the service was bad non existence Dining experiences should be memorable for all the right reasons. Unfortunately, this visit fell short of expectations due to inconsistencies in food quality and service. Receiving cold food is never acceptable, and the lack of attentive service further detracted from the overall ambiance. It is our hope that these matters will be addressed to ensure a more positive experience for future patrons. We believe in providing constructive feedback to help improve the dining experience for everyone.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant . We ordered the pepper chicken and pulao rice, and both dishes had an authentic Indian flavor that truly impressed me. Ordered food by Deliveroo, sent WRONG item. Ordered a lunch box, they sent a small packet of kaathi roll, which was not good in taste. Didn't bother to pay any attention that the packet had a receipt for panner butter masala lunch box but inside packet there is incorrect item.

Nice cozy ambience and warm welcoming staff. Food was authentic and good. Pepper chicken curry was flavorful with tender chicken pieces.Salad was fresh. I was pleasantly surprised to find authentic filter coffee as dessert !

I would give 0 for quality. Absolute rubbish. Bought Chicken Tandoori which was bland, so bland that they even forgot to put salt in the chicken. Horrible food quality.

The experience in the restaurant was average... Food was good. The place was a bit cramped and when we asked to sit in the wider part of the restaurant, they told us that this was only possible after 6pm due to a lack of staff, even though the time was 3pm. The other thing that surprised us was that the employee told us in a loud voice in front of the customers that sharing food with each other is forbidden, which is something unusual for usual restaurant experiences in general. The experience was less than expected due to these details.

Love the atmosphere and the food. The service was also amazing. The Shrimp vepudu, fried okra, Malabar roti, mama pepper chicken and zeera rice was really good. It wasn’t in the menu, but they made me filter coffee and it was the best.

We came here with a party of 9 at peak hours and they got us seated right away and the service was very fast. Their two for £11 drinks were quite good and the fish curry was delicious.

Showed up early and got the order to me ASAP. If they didn't have a generous offer on, I probably would have missed it, and would definitely be back again when I'm next fancying a curry in Cambridge. This is good food here.

We love the food from Tiffin Truck, our favourite go to treat. It was slightly later than the delivery window, but knowing the quality of food it is worth the slight inconvenience!

Lovely place, great choice of vegetarian options, curries not too oily, the masala dosa was perfect! Ate on a Friday evening, was able to get a table for two without reservation by waiting 3 min. Definitely recommend!

worst chicken biryani recipe ever I ate

Thought I’d go into this authentic restaurant to experience something traditional and different, however as much as the service was good and fast and the atmosphere was really nice the food lacked majourly, we had the full English breakfast, the sausage was uncooked and the Indian breakfast everything tasted the same and wasn’t very good.. both were from the breakfast thali selection. I wanted to order from the lunch menu but wasn’t allowed as they only serve from 12pm however it was only 15 minutes before. The only thing I did like was the traditional tea and that it was served in traditional cups. Price was very reasonable.

Calvin, Nicholas and the team offer an excellent warm welcome and very attentive service, the food is always well seasoned, offering various levels and depths of flavours. Highly recommend as it is always consistent and thouroughly enjoyable.

Excellent environment, food, and service!

We had a buyagift voucher to use and came here for it. Very easy to book a table online and the place was busy for a Sunday night. Food was great and the waiter we had was really attentive and did check backs. The only thing that let us down was that the initial waiter that sat us down didn't tell us what we could order from the menu, based on our voucher so I quickly looked it up and then the next waiter came over and explained what we could order based on the voucher but by then it was too late. Otherwise, good experience, would recommend and come again.

They have by far the best staff ever.. so comfortable even if ur alone. Food is just awesome. Ravi & team all of them are brilliant.. plz one has to visit when ur in Cambridge.. MUST MUST HAVE FOOD HERE❤️❤️

This place is superb - the full authenticity of the menu and the amazing tastes of well cooked food. Can be in and out quickly, not overly expensive- a full bar menu - not a place for a long cosy relaxed meal experience, but unbeatable for excellent, authentic Indian food.

Had an amazing experience at the Tiffin Truck! I tried the thali and got to try a bit of everything. The pani puri was spot on too! Butter chicken had great flavor and was very moist. Definitely coming back! Service was excellent as well!!

Vibrant, casual restaurant with tasty Indian food. I particularly enjoyed the rasam vada (lentil fritters) and pepper curry. The gulkand kulfi (rose ice cream) was a nice way to end the meal.

Proper south Indian breakfast with variety chutneys at reasonable price. Must try. Made my day!
