Had an amazing experience at the Tiffin Truck! I tried the thali and got to try a bit of everything. The pani puri was spot on too! Butter chicken had great flavor and was very moist. Definitely coming back! Service was excellent as well!!

Vibrant, casual restaurant with tasty Indian food. I particularly enjoyed the rasam vada (lentil fritters) and pepper curry. The gulkand kulfi (rose ice cream) was a nice way to end the meal.

We recently hired Tiffin Truck catering service for a special event, and I’m excited to share our wonderful experience. We requested a custom-tailored South Indian menu with a traditional vaala illai service (serving on banana leaves), and everything, from the food to the service, was outstanding. The menu was carefully curated to include traditional South Indian dishes such as sambar, vattha kolambu (spicy stew), mango pachadi (tangy and sweet), along with vada, poriyal(dry mixed veg), curd rice, pickle and payasam (dessert). The restaurant team worked closely with us to meet our preferences, adjusting spice levels and ensuring vegetarian options were well represented. The customization process was seamless and tailored to our needs. The food exceeded our expectations in both taste and authenticity. The sambar was perfectly spiced, while the vattha kolambu stood out for its bold, tangy flavors. The mango pachadi offered a delightful sweet and tangy contrast, balancing out the meal beautifully. One of the absolute highlights of the meal was the dal payasam. It was rich, creamy, and had the perfect sweetness—everyone raved about how delicious it was. It was the ideal way to end the meal on a sweet note, and many guests complimented how it tasted just like homemade, traditional South Indian payasam. Each dish showcased the freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of the preparation. The restaurant also managed the vaala illai service (serving food on banana leaves) with great professionalism. Their team arrived fully prepared, and the servers handled the traditional serving process with care and respect for the cultural significance of the practice. They placed each dish in the correct order on the leaves, enhancing the overall authenticity of the dining experience. Guests were delighted by the traditional service, and the servers were efficient in ensuring that everyone was well taken care of, contributing to the smooth flow of the event. The presentation of the food and the service provided were both excellent. The catering team arrived on time, handled the setup with ease, and ensured everything was in place before the event started. They ensured that each dish was served fresh and hot, and were knowledgeable about the items being served. Overall, Our experience with tiffin Truck catering was exceptional. The authentic South Indian dishes, particularly the dal payasam and mango pachadi, were a hit with all of our guests. The vaala illai service was managed flawlessly, adding to the traditional feel of the event. The food quality, professionalism of the staff, and attention to detail made the event truly memorable. I would highly recommend Tiffin Truck for anyone looking to host a South Indian event with an authentic menu and traditional service.

just ok- kale was lovely but lamb biryani was overcooked ( mushy rice), bhindi was stringy and tough and nans were too heavy. Really wanted to like it but didnt ....service was lovely though.

South Indian authentic food and taste was yummy 😋

Very nice Indian restaurant in the heart of Cambridge. Right on the main street that leads to the university. I must have dined here for about 5 or 6 times during my stay. Food was really good and so was the service. Prices were very reasonable as well considering how expensive Cambridge can be in general. Highly recommended.

The crispy kale chaat is amazing, it is a family favourite for us, would recommend. We also enjoyed the paneer fingers from the kids menu!

I am in Cambridge for work and I decided to go for dinner due to the good comments in Google. I really enjoyed the experience. The food was fantastic the staff was very helpful and quick and the place is really nice and cozy. If I come back to Cambridge I’ll definitely go back!

We love Indian cuisine, so we were excited to try The Tiffin Truck when we were in Cambridge. The service and food were outstanding! We also got mango lassis to go. 😋

Food delicious two spicy from me but delicious

I had lunch on Friday afternoon. I asked for Lamb Biriyani, it came soon enough, but it didnt feel or taste fresh. It was dry. It was a pathetic excuse for Briyani. I asked for desert menu and asked for mango kulfi. It came as two blocks of mango flavoured ice cubes. It was ridiculous. However the service of the waiter named Shiva did everything, almost bent backwards to make the so called Mango Kulfi (ice blocks) edible. Other than the service provided by Shiva, my visit to Tiffin Truck was a great dissapointment.

I visit The Tiffin Truck quite frequently. Some of my favourites are the biryani (chicken), chicken 65 and the masala dosa.

I love this place. Love the people, the food, the prices, the atmosphere. Can’t say enough good things. It’s go to place for lunch and dinner and takeout. The lunch thali special and the Punjabi chole are my favorites, but you can’t go wrong with anything. My friends who have come from India also love it, so it’s been vetted 😅

Authentic Indian food . The Mushroom chettinad was extraordinary , they adapted the Daal and got me a Daal palak which was ace . I had the chana masala and a Naan which was perfect . And an excellent Jeera Rice ! I could eat this again and again ! Amazingly reasonable prices for such superlative food !!! Strongly recommend !!!

I visited this place a few months ago and was very happy with everything hence I took my friends here but was utterly disappointed . Very less quantity for the prices. Staff keeps an eye on when the person is finishing his or her meal and is desperate to pick stuff up from the table. Please try to provide a wifi network as the networks here are pretty weak.

Hidden gem in regent Street of Cambridge. Absolutely delicious, never fails to make feel home good food. Thalis are so much better:) Excellent service. Game changer for craving Indian (home-made) breakfast, this is the place to be in - less then a tenner. Whole feast Breakfast thali must try .

This is an excellent restaurant. Great food and good service. It is a bit like its bigger cousin in London Dishoom but I found that the dishes slightly milder but just as flavoursome. The big difference is the price, probably a third cheaper. Well done Tiffin Truck, I’ll be back soon.

The Tiffin Truck is one of finest place to have vegetarian meal in Cambridge, the place is relatively spacious, decorated with vibrant colours and clean. Although the place was very busy in evening the serving times were unimaginably shorter and food was just awsum, staff was very polite and friendly,the prices are economical and you get value for money also the portions are good enough leading to potential less food wastages. one of must go places for small tapas or full meal or dessert, my best wishes wid the team. We visited again after 7 years and food quality is just awsum

This was honestly the best Indian meal I have had in ages. I had the crispy okra and the paneer butter masala, so good. Staff were friendly and attentive.
