Excellent food and service. Definitely worth a visit. We throughly enjoyed our 7 course tasting menu and would highly recommend. Best Indian food we have eaten.

Honestly an amazing experience; customer service was impressive, food was splendid, and even the beverages were top rate. The saffron rice was worth multiple trips to this establishment alone. Obviously there are many incredible and interesting dishes with each we tried genuinely making us happy. Looks like it has been on the Michelin Guide a few times and deservedly so in my opinion. Highly recommended!

A truly exceptional experience! Every single aspect of my dining experience at Navadhanya was faultless. The staff are incredibly polite, it is a lovely atmosphere, the food is exceptional & I shall be returning again. The tasting menu was our choice and it was wonderful… you will not leave hungry afterwards. In addition; the manager had overheard that my partner and I were dining here for a special occasion; without being notified he surprised us with an additional bespoke desert to celebrate our occasion. Qué comida tan deliciosa que tuvimos. El ambiente es genial y la comida era innovadora y especial. Desde los sabrosos y diferentes chutneys que salían con los poppadums hasta el asombroso y fragante curry y laterales del Ferrocarril , todo esto estaba bien pensado y un corte por encima de otros restaurantes indios.

Food was amazing, service was great, restaurant had a good vibe. Will be coming back again because there is so much on the menu that I want to try. Would 100% definitely recommend if visiting Cambridge.

I visited the restaurant awhile ago. My mother makes better indian/sri lankan food. I had this crab dish and I had to separately buy over priced chillies. Honestly speaking it tasted worst than the food my mother makes for a very high price. I don't think I'll go to any South East Asian restaurant anytime soon as every one that I've been to including this one has been incredibly overrated and subpar. These restaurants may be fine if you're not Asian and have experienced the cooking your entire childhood so for all the folk that don't fit into this umbrella sure go ahead as you don't know what you're missing out on so it'll seem great to you.

I've been a regular visitor to Navadhanya Cambridge for the past 10 years, and their taste and quality have remained consistently exceptional. It’s easily the best fine dining experience in Cambridge. We visited again today to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and once again, they exceeded our expectations. The flavors, presentation, and service were impeccable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier Indian fine dining experience!

Our absolute favourite restaurant. The food is excellent; flavours, textures, spices all spot-on, and Indian white and red wines so good too, plus the staff are just lovely. Up until now we’ve always gone for the taster menu, but determined to try Al la carte next and takeaway soon! Well done to the Navadhanya team for being brilliant at what they do.

This was a special occasion, and we had been looking forward to dining here for quite some time. While we couldn’t fault the food, the overall experience felt rushed from the moment we arrived. The staff were polite, but there was a constant sense of urgency as they watched us closely, to the point where, after finishing our starter, the plate was cleared almost immediately. Although we were reminded multiple times about the second sitting, the atmosphere didn’t quite align with the fine dining experience we had hoped for.

Well what a fantastic dining experience at navadhanya last night for Caths birthday. Tucked into Railway lamb, duck curry, sag alloo, garlic coriander naan, pilau rice, raita and samosa. The only thing we weren't keen on was the samosa, not made in the traditional way but with shortcrust pastry- wasn’t bad, just wasn’t great… BUT Everything else was fab with great flavours and good service. LOVELY night. Nicest meal we’ve had out for a long time

Nos pusieron en una habitación muy extraña, poco atractiva que contenía un proyector de techo, una televisión y sillas viejas alrededor de la habitación. Tenía atmósfera cero. La comida era excelente. Recomendaría encarecidamente la comida, sin embargo, esto es realmente importante para mí, los baños estaban sucios. El piso estaba muy sucio (años de mugre) y sin lavar y polvoriento y sucio por todas partes. Esto te desanima. ¿Te hace preguntarte cómo es la cocina? ¡Limpien los baños, gente! Es importante. The most amazing food and great service. We had the regular and vegetarian 7 course tasting menus for 4 people and the food was stunning and absolutely delicious. Every course was explained and friendly attentive service.

Very disappointed! I visited 2 time it's my favourite restaurant couple of month before food was wow ,but I visite with my friend ,The chicken biriany looked like masala rice and was pretty tasteless and not like awadhi chicken biryani that I had before. Staff very friendly and helpful. Friend had lamb curry not sure what kind of curry ,dal makhani also burnt taste . Malai chicken was tasteless not like before . I'm really very upset.

If you love paneer as much as I do (which is borderline obsession), then Navadhanya is the place to be! From start to finish, this meal was a journey of pure delight. The Lal Mirch Ka Paneer was so soft, I’m convinced it had been given a five-star spa treatment before landing on my plate. The combination with figs? Genius! Sweet, spicy, and utterly delicious. Then came the Kadai Paneer, which was beautifully rich and packed with flavour, bold but not trying to blow your head off with spice. And best of all, it wasn’t swimming in grease like so many other restaurants! And then came dessert. Oh. My. Kulfi. The Valhalla chocolate and pistachio khulfi was next-level delicious. The kulfi had the smoothness of an Italian gelato, while the Valhalla chocolate was indulgent without being overpowering. Together, they created a dessert so good it should come with a warning label: "May cause spontaneous happy dancing at the table." Every bite was a reminder that life is better with good food, and Navadhanya knows how to deliver it in style. Service? Fantastic. Atmosphere? Perfect. Would I come back? You’d have to physically stop me!

Beautifully presented and delicious tasting food. Good portion sizes for fine dining as well. We went for 3 courses and a bottle of wine for £65 a head. Service was brilliant. Would recommend the Chennai fish curry, the monkfish starter and the trio of sorbets.

This is an amazing Indian restaurant. There are so many delicious starters and mains that you'll want to have a large party coming here for dinner so that you can order a variety of dishes and try them all. I definitely recommend the lamb starter. The mango lassi is extremely good as well. As expected for an Indian restaurant, there is a wide variety of vegetarian dishes.

We had a delightful time celebrating my birthday yesterday. We opted for a tasting menu, which included one vegetarian and one meat course. Overall, we enjoyed the food. Some dishes were particularly delicious, like the starter and sparkling tea, while others were less to our liking. The vegetarian menu didn’t quite meet our expectations. However, we appreciated the food and service. The only issue I had was the location of our table. It was right next to the service door, which meant that waitresses were constantly coming and going with empty dishes. The door made a loud noise every time someone used it, which was quite distracting. I tried to focus on the food, but it was hard to ignore the noise. Despite this annoyance, the food was good enough to make up for it.

Was very much looking forward to the 10 year anniversary menu. It was a kind of a hit and miss. The starter with pani puri etc were great, as was the yoghurt chaat and the tawa halibut. The slider and the lamb however were heavy on the salt for "flavour"..the dessert was nice. Overall nice but didn't wow. The Navadhanya team are super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. the ambience was nice. the decor is nice albeit still same wallpaper/paintings as from the previous occupants of the site, (Chinese restaurant).

We visited this restaurant whilst staying for a long weekend in Cambridge. They were extremely busy which is always positive. We still managed to get a table. We were served by an extremely polite and helpful waiter. He remained attentive for our whole meal, and with a smile! The menu is so very different to other restaurants which was pleasing. The food was very tasty and good portions. As they were celebrating their 10th anniversary, we were treated to a gift before we left! What a wonderful end to a lovely evening. Highly recommended.

We were delighted to have the opportunity to try the limited edition 10 year anniversary menu today it did not disappoint !!! The flavours and presentation of all the 7 dishes was outstanding! Such a lot of thought and creativity was evident in the how the menu had been planned. Every dish was exceptional with the highlight for me being the Taste of lamb accompanied by the Nihari sauce , biriani, Malabar paratha and raita (like you have never had !! ) the sauce simply danced on the tongue, I could have happily drank it on its own !! Thank you Navadhanya for another memorable evening - we will be back soon !

The venue is a modern curry house, it was very busy and noisy on arrival, which doesn’t reflect fine dining, if this is the experience you are looking for. The staff were extremely polite and friendly throughout. We had the 7 course taster, and the food was excellent! We were extremely surprised by the quality and complexity of each of the dishes, and certainly left full and satisfied. The birthday muffin was a nice surprise. We had the wine pairings, which I wouldn’t recommend. Though cheap at £29 for 5 small glasses of wine, they were not great. We would certainly eat here again, but have a different expectation on what the experience was going to be. Highly recommend.

One of the best meals we’ve ever had! We chose the 7 course tasting menu. Every course was beautifully presented and explained. Just when you thought one course couldn’t be beaten, the next was even better. We have dined here before in the private dining room with family which was brilliant but the 7 course taster for our anniversary was exceptional. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. What a wonderful evening, worth every penny

We had the set menu. The restaurant had been recommended to us, so we chose it for an anniversary meal. The food was nicely presented and tasted good but it was nothing special. I guess I had high expectations because the restaurant used to have a Michelin star. I've eaten at many South Indian restaurants and absolutely adore this region's cuisine. Service was indifferent, the decor was nice, however the location was rather horrible, just off a busy roundabout and quite a run-down area. That's not the fault of the restaurant to be fair! Just be aware for travelling there. I would visit again to try other dishes, there was an interesting selection.

Our 4th visit, and as good as ever. The quality of the food, and attention to detail is superb. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

We visited Navadhanya after being gifted a buyagift experience for the 7 course trading menu. This is by far the most amazing present that we have ever received as the food was absolutely delicious!! The staff were lovely and clearly explained each dish that was being served. I was so full by the end but had to make room because the food was too good to waste. I will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend the tasting menu. I know it seems quite pricey but I can assure you that it is worth the money and I would be very happy to pay the price for the incredible food that was given

I was looking so forward to a nice meal at a Michelin star restaurant. This place has great reviews and was expecting an excellent meal. Unfortunately I was disappointed it didn’t live up to the reviews. The interior is nice and modern. Staff were very attentive and friendly but it did take a while to order. Our server explained some of the dishes to us which was helpful. When the papadums came, the server explained the different chutneys it came with. When our food came, it was a let down. Maybe it was what I ordered but it just wasn’t the best. I didn’t even want to eat it because it wasn’t very appetising but with the price I didn’t want to waste my money. The naan bread wasn’t warm and was more like a flatbread. I didn’t care for it. The veggie dishes I ordered lacked flavour, spices, and heat. We ordered coffee after our meal but it took so long I wanted to cancel the order. Asked the server she said it’s coming right now but took about another 5 mins. We won’t be coming back.

Had the 7 course taster and we could safely say it was some of the nicest food we have tried.

We walked in and was told to leave before 7 since we didn't have reservation, Me and my partner came to celebrate our special day, The dinner was amazing, we had Starters pav baji and chat, the chat was so so delicious, My partner had chicken biriyani and Nan, paneer and desserts, it was amazing, all the staffs were amazing, especially a guy, the name starts from the letter J, he was so amazing and wonderful service, we will be back with our friends.

I like my curry. No, I love my curry, and Navadhanya did not disappoint. In fact, it is difficult to fault the meal I enjoyed there. I say this despite prices that, at first glance, are close to eye-watering – do not be put off. We ate from the A La Carte menu where the prices suggestive of haute cuisine, and haute cuisine it turned out to be. My choices were delectable. Each delivered cleverly balanced, yet punchy flavours, that really did elevate each dish to something well beyond the usual offerings of sub-continent themed meals on the UK high street. I had the Malai Chicken starter, followed by the Malabar Prawn Curry with some Dal Tadka and rice. Everything was excellent. I must concede to some food jealousy on seeing the Matter Scallops starter arrive for a colleague. This soon dissipated on the first mouthful of the Malai Chicken, which I then guarded with care against the interests of those who had elected to go without a starter. We ate in a private dining area, which suited our purpose. We enjoyed a service that was warm, considerate and unobtrusive. Walking through the restaurant it was very evident that it preserves a friendly, familial feel that is welcoming to families. Pricey though our meal was, I notice on the website that there is a thriftier approach to enjoying the Navadhanya’s fabulous fayre. This comes in the form of an Early Bird Menu (early evenings Monday to Thursday). The Early Bird Menu affords the opportunity to enjoy all that I had during the work-related feast about which I write, and more, and for an amount that many may find more easily digestible than the A La Carte menu prices. Navadhanya is definitely worth a look, and, without hesitation, its food and the ambience lead me to recommend it as an eatery to be sought if you find yourself in Cambridge.

The food is great, I've been here a couple times. But not sure what has happened the presentation of the food was very below par this time around, and the service wasn't that great either. I used to give this place a 5 star all around but I'm taking away a star for this visit as it didn't live up to my expectations for the price I pay for a high end Indian restaurant.
