The Three Trees in Milton Keynes

Unfortunately the lasagne was tiny, burnt and inedible. About 12 chips to accompany. Used to really enjoy the lasagne here but will not be returning for a very long time. Shame as was such an asset to Bletchley but lately not enough staff and food has been going downhill, reaching totally unacceptable today. Shame

I must say usually the food here is lovely. BUT Went for lunch. Ordered a jacket potato with cheese and beans. So disappointed!!. Barely any beans, I’d say not even a tablespoon. And cheese? Even less. So I basically had a dry potato on my plate with a tiny side salad. Beans are cheap! To make this a tastier dish. The meal was absolutely awful. I’m too polite to complain on the day, but seriously, I just paid £10 for a dry potato! Wish I’d taken a photo!

Had a fabulous afternoon with 3 friends. Lovely meal, music bingo, great atmosphere and most of all amazing staff, who offered first class service. Thank you Louise, Holly and Fran ( I think that’s right 🤔) xx

Five friends met for the Golden Oldies Hitmix Bingo with lunch included. The food was tasty, well presented and a good price. The staff were very attentive especially Louise who checked several times we were ok and happy with our food and drinks. The bingo was lots of fun and the prizes good. A great afternoon was had by all and we will definitely go to the next one they hold.

We visited our in-laws who live up the road from the three trees as we stopped with them over bank holiday weekend and they had booked us 4 to go to three trees for “hot mix bingo brunch” which for £50 per head you can have a two course meal plus unlimited cocktails from 2-4pm and 2 lots of music bingo a DJ plays a song tells you all the details and you mark that off your card we had caramel chicken and tomato bruschetta as a starter and main course Caesar salad/English breakfast/ and club sandwich very tasty and filling and on the list of 5 alcoholic cocktails we all tried all 5 I had and extra one so very much value for money great fun and the service was superb and very personal especially Louise who even treated our dogs to a treat really enjoyable time we had very highly recommend

One of the best pubs in Milton Keynes,I visited with the family on Sunday for the curvery and I wasn’t disappointed, a great selection of meats plus a delicious selection of vegetables, all to which was fresh and homemade me and the family couldn’t fault anything. The waitress was very bubbly and polite, great service she gave us think her name was Hollie, differently be coming back again, once again thank you for a lovely time.

We booked a table for 12.30 as one of our party needed to be in Newport Pagnell at 3 p.m. The service was dreadfully slow, we mentioned that we needed to be out by 2.30 but it fell on deaf ears. There weren't many other customers. The waitress was not very friendly. The food was average at best and some of the portions were tiny. I emailed The Three Trees but alas they did not reply. We will not be visiting again which is a shame as it is within walking distance.

I visit the restaurant whenever I'm in the area, I'm never disappointed with the quality and taste of the food or the warm welcome from staff. The service on this visit was exceptional, the young lady who served our table was just amazing. Her name was Clea who, we were surprised to learn, was new to the role. Clea, you truly are amazing and made our visit more enjoyable. I wish you well. The lady who you brought birthday cake for, your first one lol xx

Atmosphere was good, it was busy. Drinks arrived quickly. Food was good but nothing really special. Service was the best part.

Amazing food as always, the family had a mixture of pie, steak, burger, kids meals etc and everyone loved their meals. The service was great as always, called and booked a table for 10 and they managed to book us in. Great service from the lovely Louise as always. Highly recommend for a family meal our or even a lovely meal with friends.

Absolutely appalling service. We booked for 1pm and arrived slightly early. The pub did not seem very busy, but we were ignored by the waitress who did not come and take our food order for more than 45 minutes. The drink order was also wrong. Service was incredibly slow. We eventually got the bill and paid. A while later we were phoned and told that THEY had got the bill wrong and that we had not paid for one item of food.. They kept on ringing until nearly 10pm. When we went in to sort it out today we were told that the money had been deducted from the waitresses wages! We paid for the item, but found that we had been overcharged for the drinks and for a drink that we did not even have.

Really poor carvery , 7.30 pm but basically end of the roast. Poor service by the chef. Not like before. Really disappointed as my dad 79 came up. Left 50% of my so called meat, all fat etc.

We attended the early sitting for Mothers Day. It was 12pm, it was busy. We were a party of 7 and found the staff to be attentive to us despite the volume of trade. I think I overheard the duty manager saying it was 180 covers at a time. We had a mixture of meals from the starters, carvery other mains and a few puddings. All very tasty! I have been going to this pub for the last 2 years and I will continue to return purely due to the hard working staff and the food. The staff, you literally cannot fault. They are always very accommodating and polite. The food is always brilliant and on a whole the atmosphere is very warm and relaxing. Francisco in particular is very helpful and polite and always greets people with a smile on his face. I also love the fact that this pub is very dog friendly. I will continue to support my local and head on down with my pup Bear for more beer and sausages!

We used to go to this pub regularly for our monthly meal out, but found over the last year. The quality has deteriorated quite a lot. - however we have been told there is now a new manager and are very hopeful that it will return to its previous standard which was excellent

Recently had a birthday/retirement celebration in the Conservatory room. It was a brilliant afternoon. The carvery was delicious and Louise was absolutely amazing. Not only did she decorate the room beforehand but also looked after our every need throughout the whole afternoon. Thank you Three Trees for helping to make our celebration a truly memorable one!

We had afternoon tea here. There was so much food, really good value, and they gave my grandson his own selection and hot chocolate. Cakes were homemade and great selection (we actually had to take some home as there was so much). You could have refills of tea and everyone was very friendly. Would thoroughly recommend!

So disappointing. This is my 2nd review and 3rd visit. The last visit being good as mainly as a gesture with 2x free carveries due to our first visit going badly. However this visit will sadly be my final time due to several errors/oversights. So all food was ordered and not written down, which made me nervous as things easily get forgotten/miscommunicated when not written down. I ordered a burger with a chicken breast, not beef and yes beef came out. It took a while for the chicken to then be ready and then there was no bacon which was meant to be included (I couldn’t be bothered to ask again alas). The waitress did apologise for it which was appreciated. The worst part of the evening was my friend being served gone off cream in her pudding and two members of staff both not offering apologies. I can’t even believe that happened, I’d be horrified if I was served gone off anything. Utterly unacceptable. Why people are going for food here still baffles me. There are a million better places to go. It’s sad that little pride is taken for a pub which is clearly popular with some, especially for the carvery but to serve off cream and no one apologise is shocking. God knows what the chef/s is doing at times.

I went with my wife. She had the Bass fillet and I had fillet steak. We had starters and desserts. The meals were OUTSTANDING. The service was great and the staff were brilliant. I would recommend it to anyone who asks. Thank you.

This is our weekly meeting place for our coffee group, but unfortunately we no longer have our monthly meal there because we are very sorry to say that the standard has dropped greatly - it’s a great pub with a lovely atmosphere and I’ve heard that the carvery is still good I wanna do but unfortunately the last couple of meals have left a lot to be desired 😟

We recently hired out the Conservatory area for our sons 21st Birthday celebrations and can’t fault anything. Such a lovely friendly venue, the atmosphere was really lovely. We ordered one of the buffet menus which was plentiful, and was replenished in stages on a couple of occasions during the time we were there. Overall opinion on the food was very positive indeed. We had amazing help from Louise, who couldn’t have been more attentive or helpful, she was brilliant and very supportive throughout. She even put the decorations up for us which was so helpful and looked great! Our son thoroughly enjoyed it too which was the main reason we were there ☺️ would definitely book again….. thank you all so much.

We attended my Nanas wake at The Three Trees in Milton Keynes on Tuesday 23rd January 2024 following her funeral on the same day. During a conversation with one of your staff members upon booking, we were told that they would provide a “very generous buffet” on their premises for the “Beech” buffet menu option (for 25 people) I took her words in faith and trusted that this would be true, only to be extremely disappointed upon arrival. While everything that was listed in this option was provided, we all agreed that the quantity did not reflect the “very generous buffet” which we were promised. As you can understand, this was an extremely stressful day for the entire family and we came to your establishment hoping to find comfort and a place were we could find some calm following 9 months of my Nanas battle after suffering a sever and heartbreaking stroke. Everything else on the day had gone smoothly as the service providers met us with grace and kept their promises in this difficult time in what we requested for the funeral. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for The Three Trees. What we received can only be described as a poor level of service and taking advantage of those in a very difficult time and extremely vulnerable position. It was not worth £370 we paid at all. I would strongly encourage you to revise this service provided and take a more honest approach to how much is provided as I have heard similar complaints from other customers following our experience there.

I have taken some time to consider writing this review following a horrible experience at the Three Trees for Xmas Day lunch but have been left with no choice. I have never seen a pub in such a state of disarray with very hungry and angry customers waiting to be seated and served their Xmas lunch for hours on end. The service we received from the point we walked in the door to when we left was atrocious with no management in sight to resolve the situation which was clearly out of control long before we arrived. There were no chefs to cook the lunch, no staff to serve the lunch and no-one in charge to deal with the large number of angry and upset customers who had all paid £75 for the pleasure of sitting in a packed pub with no food and drinks taking an eternity to be served. To say the atmosphere was toxic is putting it mildly. Once it became clear things were only going to get worse we decided to vote with our feet with a number of other diners and leave on the assurance from the most senior member of staff we could find, that full refunds would be provided. Over 3 weeks later and following numerous emails and phone calls not returned, primarily by the apparent 'Regional Manager' by the name of Chris Gibbs, there has been no refund or any form of communication when this will be provided. The disgraceful treatment of previously loyal customers like us to the Three Trees is something I have never experienced before. To still be waiting over 3 weeks later for any form of apology and the promised refund is simply unacceptable from any establishment where customer service should be the number one priority. Avoid at all costs...they simply do not deserve your custom...

I came here for lunch over Christmas with some friends from work and I can’t believe I’ve never been here before!! The menu was vast and something for everyone (1 of us is vegan and another GF), we were amazed at how much choice. We went for starters, mains and dessert and honestly each course was better than the next. I went for the caramel chicken, then a pie and apple crumble to finish. Wow! It was amazing. Above all, it was the service that stood out to us… everyone was SO welcoming, one of the kitchen team (I think) walked past us and even said hello, the manager Viki was so helpful and Louise our waitress was just brilliant… they told us there is musical bingo and we can’t wait to go!!!

I’ve been to The Three Trees a few times in the past for their a la Carte menu however have kept meaning to try the Sunday Carvery as I always hear such raving reviews. Well I was not disappointed!! There were 8 of us and we all agreed it was the best meal we’ve had in years. The portions were generous. Meat perfect and the cauliflower cheese was amazing. You can tell the quality is great because of how well it kept on the carvery. Could not fault it. Service was brilliant too! We were served by Louise who remembered everything off the top of her head and was just a delight. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!

12 of us turned up for Christmas dinner including children. Pub in total chaos. We were not shown to our table therefore we had to find it ourselves. We had to get our own drinks from the bar. We had 3 hungry children that were very distressed. This should of been a lovely relaxed experience, especially paying £75 per head. We ended up leaving as we couldn't take the stress any longer. Most people were moaning and walking out after waiting several hours for food. The staff acknowledged how bad things were and offered a full refund, however we are still waiting. They will not return my calls or emails. Absolutely shocking service. I will never return again
