Just popped in for lunch. The young guy serving was so friendly and couldn’t have done more to help us. There were lots of things to entertain the children and the food came really quickly. We were going to stay for ice cream but they were such lovely big portions we were all full by the time we’d eaten mains!

We visited just for one night lovely site tucked away with pretty views over the Lincolnshire countryside. We also ate our evening meal in the Horseshoes Pub the menu doesn’t do the food justice it’s absolutely superb. We had steak and ale pie with triple cooked chips and peas and a rich gravy and also Stilton, mushroom and spinach puff pastry pie with salad and chips. Then finished off with homemade chocolate brownie and homemade vanilla bean ice cream the best I’ve ever tasted!! Highly recommend

Great food but be careful about the micro pod because is actually tiny and not designed for two adults. Windows do not open and if you close the door to go to sleep it feels very tight and claustrophobic!!

We stayed on the campsite which had good sized hardstanding pitches and lovely views. The two shower/ toilet/ basin rooms by the pub were fine and there are additional showers and toilets in a sort of portacabin for when the site is busy. The pub is brilliant. Welcoming, traditional, cosy with a log burner, and excellent food. We really appreciated the extra touches like table games and games menu! The owners have made a great effort with things like pop bingo (Friday), quiz night (Sunday) and fantastic live music (Saturday). We loved our stay and look forward to returning with family and friends. Highly recommended.

We were in the local area and started to get peckish when we saw the road sign for the pub. We weren't sure if we would be able to get there due to Road closures, well signs for a road closure. But we are very glad we did find it and got a table. We entered the pub to be greeted by a very welcoming smiling face. Asked if they were serving food and if they took card. A big resounding YES on both counts. Fabulous we thought, we were warned they were very busy and there would be a wait on food. Yes there was a wait, but the food was well worth it and we were warned three times! We ordered a couple of drinks and then a Sunday Roast and a roast wrap.. Both were DELICIOUS!! and good portion sizes too. After our mains we decided to try a dessert and my gosh!!! The Lemon cheesecake was to die for, Sooo zesty and lemony and delicious. And taking the barmaids advise I got Lemon Meringue ice cream. WOW!! Absolutely amazing ice cream, soooo creamy and tasty and just delish!! Must have been made with clotted cream or something equally delicious. It was homemade creamy tasty deliciousness!! We will be back, if not just for food then a little overnighter as the pods looked so cute and accommodating. What a wonderful find. Thank you to Debs for being such a welcoming face and excellent ice-cream advisor :)

The glamping garden is pleasant with privacy space around each pod and none really overlooking the others. Lovely mature birch trees at the back and a little stream at the back of my pod. The greyhound loved looking out of the window and watching the wildlife in the hedgerow behind. there is a walk behind the campsite you can go on and 'the Viking Way' walk is local. Outside on this walk, I was able to hear far away traffic from Cadwell Park, but at night, I didn't hear this and it was overall, very peaceful with only the odd car driving down the lane behind. On the website, I was trying to work out the size of the window but it is standard size - pretty big compared to some caravan windows. (that's why I have random window pictures!) The pod was uncomfortably hot upon arrival and I was very concerned about my dog staying in it - not me, just the dog, lol but, after leaving the doors and window open it did cool down. I asked if they had a fan but they didn't - this surprised me, as while the bar staff explained, "It's because they're so well insulated" and has a small wall-mounted heater and you'd think a cool switch/option for the heater would be the minimum The mattress on the double bed in the Alfie arch pod was appalling - old-style camping/spring one - very lumpy, and I didn't sleep at all on the first night

Just got back from 2 nights staying in the Shepherd's Hut with my daughter. We've been to many places but this was the best by far. Lovely site, well spaced out pitches within a short walk of all facilities, which were all very clean with great showers. The owners and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We ordered pizza the first night which was delicious and delivered to our hut. The second night we ate in the restaurant, the food was great and reasonably priced too. Perfect weekend. Came camping as a family after so many cancelled family holidays! And we had a lovely time at the Three Horseshoes Campsite. The facilities were very clean, pitches nice and spaced out, ground flat and sun reached every corner of the field. A group of DofE students came and I was pleased that they were all put into one corner of the field unlike some other campsites where they disperse them amongst holiday makers. We had food in the pub in the evening and we all enjoyed our meals. We are an awkward family with Vegetarians, Vegans, Coeliacs and lactose intolerances, but they were able to cater for us all. Lady on the bar was very friendly and made us feel welcome. 4/5 due to the occasional whiff of sewage/needed 1 more toilet as there were often queues for the loo/expensive pints in the pub. Overall a lovely time :)

The pod we stayed in was really nice and the grounds are kept really well. The staff we met i think where the owners are extremely rude. I have never met such an unpleasant person as the female of the two i had the displeasure of meeting. Everytime i had tried talking to her i was met with a an obnoxious and immature attitude. There was nothibg stating the amount of days we needed to stay for. Once booked i was told at a later date i needed to pay an extra £50 per pod as i was only there 1 night. She had verbally abused people in my party i told her i have never met such an unpleasant person and i would not be returning to which i was told 'good'. We are very respectful and was there to celebrate a birthday. She was nothing but rude since our first contact and her pertner refused to help us with using the site facilities as 'we where not welcome'.I highly recommend avoiding this place. Unless you can find a way of avoiding the vile woman responsilbe for the site.

It's been a while since we visited this pub and we are sad to see that it's standards have gone down. The food ok and not badly priced although the fish and chips left a lot to be desired - and what is it with chefs that everything has to be piled on top of itself in the middle of the plate. This is not a gastro pub so I would far rather see the food laid out nicely instead of this habit of piling it up. Frankly the fish and very few chips just looked ridiculous (at first we thought there weren't any chips as they were hidden under the fish).

I booked me, my husband and son to stay in one of the pubs star tents (glamping) on Saturday 2nd September - this was a birthday surprise for my husband. Upon arrival we were greeted by the warden who immediately showed us around the site and to our tent. The star tents are AMAZING! (my son said they look like an onion and reminded him of the carriage out of shrek..not far wrong!). Situated on a deck, there were two comfy plastic chairs outside of the tent. Inside the tent the decor was lovely. We had a double bed which was fully dressed (bedding provided) with fairy lights, a three seater sofa, a fridge/freezer, washing up/mug complimentaries, kettle, heater, bedroom furniture and two fabulous sack beanbags/bunting! Underneath the bed were two single mattresses - we decided to bring our own bedding for our son (bedding for the mattresses are extra upon booking). There was also an A shaped wooden bench out of the front of the tent on the grass for sitting outside. I had ordered an extra of prosecco on ice upon arrival, and once we had been shown to our tent the prosecco was delivered :) The accommodation was clean and it really did feel they had made every effort to make it welcoming, cosy and comfortable. We were handed a code for the more private WC/shower rooms, and that was a nice touch. There is also a garden grill for glampers close by which is a mini kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Three Horseshoes and had a very good night sleep - the glamp/camp site was tranquil, quiet and clean.

We decided to stay here as it was in the perfect location for our plans in the Lincolnshire Wolds. On arrival the staff were very friendly and helpful in booking us on to the campsite. The campsite had good clean facilities. On that note I imagine in the summer when it's busy it can be quite difficult to use the showers as there is only 2 in total. My 'homemade burger' was something from a burger van and it was meant to be a cheese burger....but wasn't given any cheese. The lady said the chef hadn't told her the burgers had run out...but i did see her nip into the on site shop...where I'm guessing my nice frozen burgers were from!! The wait was over 45 minutes. My partners steak was cooked ok but the mushrooms looked like they were out of a tin and then fried...they were inedible. You could throw them at someone and they'd be hurt! The table near us also said they food was horrible and we laughed about it...they had been coming there for years, proper local pub and they weren't going back again. The lady also said it 'wasn't her fault' and ' not to have a go at her', it was a Saturday night, the meal ruined my Saturday night and to be honest someone needs to take responsibly to even let the food come out looking like that!!we also ordered a peppercorn sauce which when the steak arrived the young girl told us ... 'There wasn't any sauce' .... Oh my days!!! Seriously some customer service would be great!! If you want to run a pub and still have it by the end of the year please be nice to customers, don't serve them food you'd get at a car boot and employ more staff?!! We've been coming here either to eat since we moved to lincolnshire from leeds 5 years ago, or to stay at the campsite. I love the place, the pub itself is an interesting mix of eclectic accessible, games and books free for guests to use and traditional olde worlde beams, alcoves snug pub. There is also a little shop. I love everything about it. The owners took the pub on after it had been derelict for years and have worked incredibly hard turning it into a shop, pub, restaurant and camp site. They really care about their business and want it to be the best it can be. Their beer is second to none, it's cellared beautifully and there's always a decent variety of both hand pulled and normal, the wine list is varied and again decent, and the campsite is wonderful. Showers like you would expect at a hotel, loads of hot water. All these things are faultless. Then there's the food. We have had here mostly amazing food, but every now and again it's been poor. This time we camped the weekend and ate on the Friday night. We shared garlic bread, and had tuna steak and a burger. All of it was poor, and I was sad for the pub because they usually are spot on. We were asked a number of times by our waiter how the food was (he was also absolutely spot on) and eventually we said "ok, well the garlic bread was very dry, the burger was very salty and dry with a huge amount of cheese, and the tuna was overcooked and the sauce was interesting. " we didn't expect this to go anywhere, but the owner came out and spoke to us. He explained that they struggle to get and keep decent chefs because of the nature of where they are and he was aware of the issue. I really felt for him, and the following day he gave us a bottle of wine for taking the time to talk to him and be honest. I cannot emphasise enough how great this place is, it is everything I want a pub to be and more. I hope they keep moving forward and get back to the food standard they have been before so that every part of the place is as good as the rest. Just go. It is worth it just for the beer!

My partner and I thought we give it a try after hearing mixed reports. We have eaten in fine dining restaurants plus also in local pubs were we have had exceptional food. Unfortunately this pub did not come close. The pub itself was fine and laid out in a mannere where you did not feel overlooked by fellow diners. The service was not good. The waitress was not enthusuatic about the food she was serving. When the starters came it arrived on slates which is so out dated now, and never retain the heat of the food. I had whitebait which were not fresh but frozen, my partner had garlic mushrooms which arrived on a soggy ciabatta bread. Not a lot of garlic in the sauce either. For mains I had sirloin steak, which I ordered blue. It was cold on arrival and had more fat on than meand it was very chewy. The steak was served on rocket leaves, which had started to cook and wilt from the steak. It ended up soggy. Plus there was paprika sprinkled randomly around the plate?????? When I asked for brown sauce they came in sachets. Definetly a put off for me.My partner had a sausage in a large Yorkshire pudd. This was home made but had a random useless piece of parsley on the top as garnish. Over all would not go back. The manager did try to offer a free drink for the poor steak, but a reduction in the bill would have been more relevant. I would advise to travel into belchford and visit the bluebell inn. Far better food and service.

A return visit to the Three Horseshoes again last Sunday to part-take of their excellent Sunday lunch following a great walk through the Wolds. The beef and pork were both tender and generous and knowing they were locally sourced added to the whole experience. Good value too if you’re on a budget. One welcome element that’s sets this pub apart from others is the availability of food on a Sunday between the hours of 12.00 until 6.00 pm. No need to hurry if the walk over runs.

Recently visited the Three Horseshoes for an evening meal with friends and I would recommend a visit. The pub is bright and clean with friendly staff and a good choice of drink and food available. The pub was busy which is always a good recommendation. It is good to see the pub up and running again after being closed for some time. We will be returning.

A marvellous Sunday Lunch with the most delicious roast beef and all the trimmings, huge yorkshires too and a good selection of very nicely cooked vegetables. All served in a most pleasant manner in nice surroundings. Super nice area for good walks in pretty wolds Village. It is certainly worth a visit. Menu looks very good for other days too. I enjoyed my visit there.

Always keen to support local businesses, wife and I had lunch here midweek. The bar menu was on offer and for us as vegetarians, the choice was between veg lasagne, the veg option of warm chicken salad (which turned out to be the warm chicken removed), a Thai curry, and Mediterranean vegetable, pesto and brie sandwich. Wife chose the lasagne, This was not available so she agreed to the offer of veg spag bol, which turned out to be tagliatelle with a vegetable sauce. The advertised salad never arrived and the garlic bread had to be requested.I opted for the sandwich. No sign on the pesto, though it might have been there. Just one tiny square of brie masked by a lukewarm veg sauce, which I've just realised, while writing this, was the same as my wife's.All this came with constant profuse apologies from the friendly lady behind the bar. We felt sorry for her so didn't complain, just made a mental note to give the food a miss next time. Beer was good though!

I've been here a few times as I live nearby and the food and service seems to get better every time I go. The staff/owners are always friendly and eager to assist in anyway. If you are driving through or taking a walk this is well worth a visit.

The Three Horseshoes is a charming country put situated in the Bucks Countryside. We went for Sunday lunch with friends and had a most enjoyable afternoon. Our friends really enjoyed the house smoked salmon starter saying it was the best they had ever tasted. Two of us went for the roast beef and although I asked for gravy on the side it was poured on. Other then that the meat was very tasty and the veg not overcooked. The fruit crumble for dessert was very good although after the main meal it was too much to finish. Definitely, a very good Sunday lunch at a reasonable price.

Pub doesn't look like much from the outside but turned out to be pleasant bar and local shop selling produce. Food was excellent- a very fresh baguette with lincolnshire sausage and chutney. chips were lush. Beer also very good. Only 5 min drive off main road to Louth.

Trip Advisor seems to have this pub reviewed separately as a pub and as a hotel - due to its glamping enterprise - so I thought I should paste the write up here also, because it proffered the best pub food we have tasted in rural lincolnshire. Also provided on the ale front, Tom Wood's Gold and a dark Fugelestou ale, both in very good condition.Menu has a pretty wide selection of traditional favourites mixed in with some new ideas. I had chicken breast stuffed with black pudding in a stilton sauce on a bed of mash - excellent combo. Wife and friend had beef wellington containing top quality fillet and real sliced mushrooms. Puds were no afterthought either - apple crumble, bread & butter pudding and chocolate/Bailey's cheesecake - all clearly home made, and everything prepared to a very high standard. It is not easy to make a crumble, or bread and butter pudding, outstanding - so hats off to the chef who did all this while wearing the full Gordon Ramsey outfit.Hosts were very welcoming - we chose to sit in the previously empty smaller bar, whereupon the landlord immediately lit the woodburner for us.If you like the food and beer at Lincoln's Pyewipe Inn or The Wig and Mitre, then you will enjoy your visit here - and you will come away with more change. There are many more write ups on this pub in the hotel/campsite listing, where the customer reviews generally seem to jive with my own. We visited on a cold, wet, Thursday night - but the bar was filling up nicely by eight o'clock - open mike night being about to kick off. Can't comment on how that went - headed for home - but will return soon.

We were met with a friendly greeting at the bar, served promptly and enjoyed meals of Sizzling Cajun Chicken & home made burger with bacon, brie etc.Home made cheesecake to finish. Good ale from Tom Woods. The meals were nicely presented, hot and made with local ingredients of a high standard. Overall better than I'd expect from a country pub. I'd visit again if in the area.

Poor welcome, poor food, not much better service. Food was bland and not what it should have been. Dessert menu uninteresting so we paid and left. No thank you or goodbyes. I don't think I will go back again.

This is a lovely pub/restaurant in a triny village in the country with spectacular views from the garden. Great food too. I went there for a business meal and everyone loved it so we will use it again and I will probably go there with my family too. It will be a greate place to eat outdoors on the patio when the sun comes out.

Having eaten at the three horseshoes many times and had excellent food was surprised to take somewhere there for a business lunch to find it so disappointing.

Was not really able to complain as it was a business lunch. We had the venison sausages and the skins were so tough it was a job to cut them. The red cabbage that came with it did not compliment the sausages and the whole dish was barely warm. Shame because I have never had a bad meal here in the past.

This was our 2nd visit for Sunday lunch - this time meeting up with my son to celebrate his 21st birthday. Food was exceptional and service as before on the spot. The staff i have found to be very accommodating and friendly - bringing out birthday cake /candles on queue. Will be back but may take advantage of the rooms next time and stay overnight in this particularly beautiful part of the Chilterns.

Our party of 4 enjoyed a good dinner on Saturday; the ambience was welcoming - a character building with modern touches an no annoying muzac. The menu was varied with a choice of french influenced dishes; the food was very well prepared and good quality. Service was fine albeit the staff were fairly inexperienced. Wines were quite expensive from a short list. The worst aspect was that by 1030, we were the only diners left and felt pressed to be on our way.

Really enjoyed the cosy bar, very attentive staff, good meal but risotto not a lot of taste. The only thing that ruined the ambience of this lovely restaurant was the music which wasnt needed at all - Rick Astley, "Never Gonna Give you Up" - please no ! Especially slick Rick x

Very pleasant evening. Good choice of dishes. Each dish was carefully executed and arranged on the plate. Reasonable choice of wine. It was not busy but mid week and small village setting. Satnav needed. Service also good and not intrusive. Would love to return when the weather is good enough to dine outside!

Had a lovely evening here. Prawn starter was fabulous, however the steak was a little too fatty. Disappointed with the automatic adding of a discretionary tip on the bill. The service is good enough without customers feeling forced to pay.

We went to The Three Horseshoe Inn at Bennetts End, Radnage, for lunch on Sunday. Despite a muddle over our Toptable booking the manager was most accommodating and sorted us out with a table. The food was excellent and a very special Sunday lunch. We did not have starters but opted for a main and pudding at £21.95 per person. My husband had Lamb which was perfectly cooked and my son and I had the hung roast beef which was beautiful. The puddings were all delicious too. Highly recommend.

The Three Horseshoes Inn, Radnage.
We dined on a Sunday afternoon. The food was great quality, although there was very little available for the vegetarian in our party (the pea and ham soup was marked as vegetarian!!). It's a beautiful little restaurant with magnificent views across the valley. The experienced was only marred by the very inexperienced waiting staff. No one appeared to be responsible for our table and as a result the service was terribly irratic and unattentive.

Stunning setting and views but the food was sadly rather hit and miss. The bread was fantastic and summer pudding desert was great. However, the fish platter was way more quantity than quality. Service was friendly but inexperienced. It's a shame, because this setting and better food could be an outstanding combination - it feels like an opportunity missed.

The Three Horseshoes Inn at Radnage has a delightful setting and the view from the attractive dining room was beautiful. The food was excellent too ! Pan fried duck was cooked to perfection and the parsley cress added real flavour to the garnish. We followed this with the chef trio of desserts which again were tastey. Large glass of house Shiraz was spot on.

Very quiet on Thursday evening with only 2 other diners but a hail storm in the valley earlier in the day might have put people off!

4 of us went to The Three Horseshoes Inn in Radnage as the reviews looked really good. Beautiful setting and a lovely building. Warmn welcome but young waitress not acquainted with menu. Also got wine order wrong. Food varied between 4 of us and when one ordered lemon tea, came in enormous pot with no tea bag. Coffee bitter and undrinkable.

Nice setting in a remote locatoon so take the sat nav! Good service was backed by two courses of simple but high quality food that was certainly good value. Wine list was not too ambitious but enough choices to cater for most mid range tastes. Decor of the reataurany looked lovely and the rooms as advertised looked interesting and worth a try for a sneaky weekend away from the kids maybe.

The food that I ordered for my family wasn’t what we expected we ordered gammon it was dry chips and peas fried egg came with salad didn’t ask for the salad no egg the cottage pie came out look like a child meal and it look like a microwave meal not home made as it say on the menu bar staff was nice enough with servicing drinks the atmosphere was ok the music was nice and not to loud

Second time here with 6 year gap. The pub itself is lovely and it's hosts are a credit to their proffession. Mike really helpful . The bed really comfy and nice bedding and very clean. The room itself quite basic. The secondary glazing didnt close but street not busy after 8.30pm ish so not a big problem but room cold and couldn't get radiator any warmer. We ran hot water for 10 mins but still cool. No heating in bathroom so didnt shower with that and no hot water.. The main problem was the water outlet pipe is in bedroom and made noise literally al, night like it was filling up something or someone having a shower so not a great nights sleep.. We got a deal with booking.com so didnt pay a lot but wouuldnt of wanted to pay any more than we did for this particular room as not the same standard as last one we had when paid more. Having said all that it is a lovely place you get free parking right outside
