Recommended by our Airbnb host we weren’t at all sure when turning up …… do not however be put off by appearances ! This pub is an absolute delight , great service alongside sublime food - highly rated indeed

We have been visiting the area for about 8 years and always look forward to eating at this wonderful dog friendly place. We had a fab meal including steak and homemade pie plus a family Sunday lunch and would highly recommend

Warm welcome and food and service were excellent. Menu gave plenty of choice and contained dishes that were original and delicious. We sat in the bar area as our two dogs were with us. Really great place.

Perfect all round experience, to spontaneously accommodate a family of 5 was fantastic and everything that followed just continued to please us, the food was absolutely delicious, lovely flavours and presentation, one of the best ales I've had in a long time and the chap that looked after us couldn't be nicer, I would class this is somewhere to go for more then just food, its an experience. Looking forward to visiting again very soon and trying some more of the fabulous menu. 5 star experience. Thank you x

We called into this quaint pub on a Monday lunchtime en route to a short break in the country. It was very quiet but the staff were friendly and helpful and the menu looked appetising. The chicken and tarragon pie was possibly the best pie and mash I have ever had and my wife’s Cornish fish and triple cooked chips was tasty with perfectly battered fish. An absolute diamond of a find and we will definitely be returning next time we are within half an hour’s drive.

Very nice food, all cooked to perfection. Starters, main and desert was a pleasure. Staff extremely pleasant and it was a lovely evening all round. Come here every year when on holiday in the Beacons, and the food is always delicious, never fails.
