Very friendly, made room for my family and my mobility scooter without any problems and they went above and beyond to come to the table to take our order and pay . A lovely comfortable place to eat and very clean, the food was amazing we all cleared the plates. Will be visiting again

We always go here when we travel from Somerset to Barry Island, food lovely and service the prices are a lot cheaper then English prices

The staff are all very friendly, the food and drinks are really nice and reasonably priced. Food took a little while to come out but the staff kept us updated and offered us free drinks whilst waiting.

The portions were quite small for the price. However, the delivery driver was friendly and punctual.

Warm welcome but had to sit outside as with dogs. Prompt service, good coffee and reasonably priced breakfast. Outside seating suitable for couples.

The paninis at Coastal Coffee are the best in the local area. They always have quality ingredients that are cooked to a lovely standard. All of their food can be relied upon and their customer service is exemplary too. I was outside their shop today and saw a lady with a Leonburger dog that they promptly put a large bowl of water down for and you could see immediately the gratitude of the dog. From all dog owners I'd like to say a big thank you to Coastal Coffee for going the extra mile.👏👏👏👏

Don't know how it took so long to cook my breakfast it was all cooked the day before and even worse was it not fresh it was not even re heated fully was served cold yuk

Breakfast was nice only problem was we only received one hash brown each instead of two which was disappointing and the eggs were solid instead of having runny yolks.

Visited here last week, just wanted to say cant fault this cafe, just had a rear knock through to create a rear seating area ,coffee was lovely staff very friendly and for barry island as a general the prices and costs in here are very very fair hats off to the owners for creating a lovely family friendly cafe with good affordable prices and good food will 100% be returning in the near future. Chef has no customer interaction,he hasn’t a clue how to make a decent cup of coffee,and the food he presents you is cold,and his bacon and egg sandwiches float in grease even when the carton the food is in is full of grease,and if he’s on his own he will close the shop till another member of staff comes in has he can’t multitask

Nice local cafe we had the gourmet cheese burgers they were delicious staff very friendly also left here with a smile

Ok we just come from this cafe I like to give true reviews. We had 3 breakfasts and toasted sandwich. The one breakfast was cold the chef replied it has just come from griddle. The toasted sandwich was meant to come with coleslaw one little spoon full for £6 I expect better. The kids ice cream was dusty tasting. Strange I was in a rush or I would have complained more.

£4.45 for a burger. I asked for burger with chips so £8.95, according to the menu that's 2 burgers in the bun, fries and coleslaw. What it was was 1 burger and a handful of fries so overcooked they were solid. Terrible.

I popped in this morning for brunch, was welcomed by Becky and Del and ordered a pot of tea and a burger (Dels Burger) that I must say needs to be on the menu it was the best burger I've ever had in any establishment service was outstanding by the both of them and 110% recommend coming here and will be coming back.

The breakfast price increased by £2 practically overnight plus coffee and tea gone up in price. No improvement in food quality. The meal deal is no longer as you have to pay an extra £1 on top of increased price for a beverage Coffee is a decent Ferraris blend. The only positive was the coffee.used to be a decent price for OK food.

Omelette was perfect , just like one I had recently in Majorca , fair credit to the chef here . Will re order again soon .

Really enjoy going here, it's cosy, comfortable, the service is really good. They are all friendly and quick. The best thing about it is how reasonable the prices are and the food is good quality. We'll recommend it to friends and family.

What a lovely little coffee shop this really is. We popped in for coffee and cake after a walk on the beach. We ordered 2 large cappuccino and 2 large cherry bakewell cakes for less than £7. The large coffee's were huge. The cakes were fresh and delicious. Value for money and lovely friendly staff too. We will be back again soon 😋thankyou 😀

Had a lovely experience here. A lovely girl named Dell served me. Despite it being extremely busy she was so polite and attentive to me. She was working very hard and worked amazingly under pressure. When I was given my drinks she apologised for the wait but I honestly did not mind as they were delicious! Thankyou Dell will definitely be returning!

We only had a tea and coffee but the food looked good - we will return to Coastal Coffee next time we visit Barry Island. The drinks were very good and very reasonably priced compared to the well-known chains on the High Street. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Many thanks.

Popped in for coffee and jacket potato. The service was lovely, friendly and pleasant. The chicken curry had lots of chicken, plenty of sauce and covered the perfectly cooked jacket lovely. Great value for money. Wonderful atmosphere too, couldn't ask for more, will make this a new rugular stop in future. Well done coastal coffee, 10/10

Been going here for a couple of years but it's not as good as it was,in the last 2 months we've turned up just before 1500 hrs to find it closed, 14.30 to be told its closing at 1500hrs lack of staff,then today its closing at 1600 hrs no milk and owners not around to replenish, come on now it's a coffee shop. Also I believe they have changed supplier for welsh cakes and teacakes seems petty but that's what we have.

I come here every Friday with my Nan and two dogs. came in today and I had the worst experience ever I was heading out and went to whitmore and Jackson’s because didn’t even have bread or milk? Had my lunch and walked back to go get my nans scarf she left outside and all I see is the manager screaming at a lovely lady gemma she always gives the best customer service and never has a thrown bless her was crying because she’s sacked horrible place filled with nasty people won’t be going back as my Nan is to scared so very angry the poor girl.

Food was hot and delicious . Home made Welsh cakes too I think ? The sausage sandwich was lush thick sausages and plenty filled . Best cheese toastie I have ever had . Marvellous food and exactly what I ordered

Visited Barry Island for a family event for the weekend. Popped in this little beauty for a coffee and some food with the whole family. Great atmosphere, lovely hot drinks, and the staff were fabulous. There was a large group of us, and nothing was too much bother. Thank you for being accommodating and providing a great service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Barry.

Called in for breakfast on our last day in Barry. Enjoyed our breakfast but for some strange reason they DON'T DO EGGS. Whats that all about. Would have loved scrambled eggs but strangely it's a NO.

Great value coffee shop on Barry Island. Very friendly team work here Maybe get rid of the hand sanitizer behind the door and some of the cleaning in progress signs. If you are looking for a friendly coffee and breakfast sandwich that doesn't break the bank this is for you

Great little place to eat, and the prices are very good! Eating here is a much better option than the overpriced fish & chip shops, and healthier too. And the tuna melt panini was the best I have had for years, and made the correct way too. It's called a tuna melt for a very good reason, which so many places fail to understand. But here they know exactly how to make one, and it was quite cheap too! Definitely recommend stopping here.

Great food at great prices! Large tables were able to accommodate 7 of us, including a pushchair! Friendly staff, quick to bring food and drink over! Well deserving of the £5 tip left! Don't bother ordering a large Americano...the regular was HUGE 😂 overall, good home cooked food for great prices!

Great value for money at the Coastal Coffee; we had two panini meal deals which included crisps and a drink of your choosing for £5.95 each - bargain price, and the portions were generous and ingredients used of good quality. The staff were all very pleasant with customers. Would definitely come back here when next in Barry.

We are a group of 8 or 9 ladies that frequent coastal caffee every Tuesday. We love the place. Please dont wait for one of your visitors to break their neck/hip etc, falling off a toilet because the seat is completely loose and has been for a very long time. Come on owner!!!!!!! A cheap repair....

Very generous people. 2x jacket potatoes, as well crisps and soft drinks included in the deal. Very cheap, like 20 years ago. Everything tasty, freshly made.

Great food as always, the paninis are the best you can buy in the locality and for anyone who likes toasties you can't go wrong with these either. Last but certainly not least is the excellent customer service, the staff are so nice and respectful of the customers it is a pleasure to deal with them.

Nice little coffee shop not far from the beach. At £1.80 for an Americano quite reasonably priced. Food on offer but didn't try any. Again decent prices. Outside area for the sunny days.

I would certainly recommend Coastal coffee for lunch I had a bacon panini and it was lovely, it tastes bacon used to taste like back in the day. The girls that work here are friendly, polite and helpful they just couldn't do enough to make us feel at home.

Handled rude customers brilliantly! A real treasure to Barry Island. I decided when passing to pop in for a coffee. The inside was warm and nicely decorated followed by very friendly and helpful staff (It's always nice to walk into an establishment and see the staff enjoying themselves and providing a happy atmosphere for the public). Prices were so cheap I couldn't believe it considering the average coffee in most places is over £3-£4. I mean £2.10 for a latte? And a biscuit!!! Coffee was delicious too! which was even more surprising because most places with these prices really represent that, not coastal coffee. They handled two rude customers very professionally and to the best of their abilities. These two woman were complaining they couldn't have their dogs in the shop (the shop is not dog friendly, which makes sense in my eyes especially when serving food as its unhygienic). The staff explained that if the customers had card showing that they were support dogs they could allow them to remain the shop... Instead the staff received a very nasty and vicious excuse (along with other remarks and gestures) "I've left the card at home" After the customers shouting horrendous abuse at the staff they eventually left. *It would only be illegal if staff refused to allow the dogs in when the customers have a badge on display* To the owner of coastal coffee, your staff are a treasure and handled the situation tremendously! I will be returning here as I also noticed the variety of food options available all for (you guessed it) an affordable cost! Wonderful!!!

I have an assistance dog. So does my grandson. We called into cafe. We were told ‘no dogs’. We explained our situation. After we ordered the waitress came across and started to say we had to sit outside. My daughter tried to stop her but she persisted (loudly). Her manager had told her to tell us to leave. But this breaks the disability law. He required us to have written proof - which my daughter attempted to explain was not the case. By the time she finished I was in tears and we left - totally embarrassed. (It had rained earlier and all the outside seating was wet through - so not an option as no attempt was made to dry them).

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! Staff were VERY rude to my mother and I regarding our assistance dogs. The manager had told the waitress to kick us out! We were told we HAD to sit outside. When I challenged this and corrected the waitress of the laws around assistance dogs she continued to shout over me. There is obviously a reason for us having assistance dogs but this woman did not care how she made us feel. It was humiliating. Got money back and left. Do not recommend and will be reporting this business to the correct authorities.

Three staff in cafe. Two customers. We arrived asking for tea and toast. Sort there would be a long wait for toast! Chap came in after us wanting food for himself and children. Told the same - he left. Staff could not have cared less.

Didn't feel welcome at all. Waitress didn't even acknowledge us at first then was very loud and and didn't get order right. And coffee was awful. Maybe they were tired from busy day but it wasn't the best end to our day

All I can say is if you want the perfect panini with the best customer service then you must go to Coastal Coffee as there's nowhere better around here to get one.

Decor and toilets need upgrading. No drying facilities for your hands in the one toilet available! Slow service. A pensioner's cafe/retreat. Polite staff. By choice not for me, other better cafes in the area.

The mocha is particularly yummy however the large is actually very small. The jacket potato and toastie were a good small snack for me and my daughter. Plus we got a huge side salad with our order.

I ordered my food at 11.30 and it didn't turn up until 1pm.the kept delaying my delivery which is no better that cue jumping in a shop. Then when they finally got around to delivering it, the driver had the nerve to expect me to come out to his car to get it, very poor service for food that wasn't even that nice, I'll be waiting on Costa to get stock in future.

Missing a 'hot drink' from my order. When I called to ask about it. They laughed at my stutter and then said it wasn't their problem when it was labeled as a hot drink. I spent extra money to upgrade for a hot drink and didn't get it. Delivery service was great however.

You won't find better paninis around the Barry area than those made at Coastal Coffee and on top of that the staff are really nice too.

The food is always superb from this restaurant (and hot), and if you have to ring them (even if it's about your idiotic husband's error🤣) you will be treated with the utmost perfect customer service and end up having a giggle all around. I will always go back to a restaurant like this as you're treated like a human being and the food is excellent. They are on a level with The Eating Room for great customer service.
