Brilliant service by Gemma Saturday night then walked Sunday morning for early breakfast she was back already. Polite and professional credit to Beefeater

Food was spot and the service was fantastic from Vicky, she was lovely. The lunch menu was really affordable too at £8 for a main!

Great food and a relaxing and quiet atmosphere! The mixed grill was cooked exactly as required and there were no issues. Vicky was our waitress and she was very polite and friendly.

I was served by Vicky and the customer service was great. All food came in good timing and Vicky was always making sure we had drinks and our food was okay. Definitely recommend.

Been here so many times and can never complain about the food. We drive from Telford as we prefer this beefeater to the one in Telford. We both had the smothered chicken melt today off the lunch menu and, as always, it was lovely! We had a waitress who we hadn’t met before called Vicky, but feel she definitely deserves a mention just because me and my partner both agreed she was the nicest waitress we’ve ever had! Hopefully she’s here again next time we come 😁

It was ok for a quick stop, we had breakfast which was a disappointment over all. The price was very good and the selection was good but the cooked food wasn't the best. To much made at a time and left under heat lamps for way to long so food was dry, hard and certainly things uneadable. Wouldn't stop for breakfast here again myself

Stunning Beefeater great decor had to travel due to recent closures but worth it … prices are cheap but steak is on par with high quality steakhouses like Miller and Carter… Recomend.

My husband and I had an evening meal at The Three Fish Beefeater. I had gammon and chips and my husband had the cod and chips. The meals were barely warm and we had to eat them as quickly as possible before they got any colder. My fried egg was rock hard and also the garden peas on both our plates were not very green - almost sage in colour. It did not help that there was a screaming child on the next table and I did ask to be moved when we arrived at 6pm but was told that we would have to sit at that table. Could not understand this as there were quite a few tables for two elsewhere in the restaurant! We will not be visiting this beefeater again.

came for breakfast with my son as a treat when i asked if i could have a table for four as we needed a bit of space to sort some paper work i was told no i had to have a table for two as all the tables were set up for lunch i noticed this was an extra knife and fork ?? i was not sure who was the customer but not to make a fuss we were put on a table squashed in a corner and could not talk as too many people around us , will not bother again there are plenty of other places doing breakfast

Another great meal and service at The Three Fish Newport. Everything to our liking. We go to Beefeaters all over the country and this is by far the best ever. Food well prepared and hot where needed to be. The staff were very attentive and polite always with a smile. Nothing too much trouble. Plus this has to be the cleanest Beefeater too. Thank you to everyone concerned Stuart and Marie 13-06-2024 We are back again and not disappointed. Vicky is amazing I'd give her 10 stars if possible. The food was well prepared and very tasty yet again probably the best beefeater around. Jo another server was so welcoming and pleased to see us return. Whenever in the area this is our place to eat and we also travel just to eat here. Thank you Vicky and Jo Stuart and Marie

Visited a very quiet Three Fish Beefeater on a Sunday in June 2024. We were pleased that we could get a table without advanced booking . The Three Fish is a large modern building next the Mere Park garden centre . The restaurant is on a single flat floor with toilets alongside the main entrance inside the restaurant. A large bar and open kitchen is located alongside the left hand side of the main room. It is a modern building with plenty of space between the tables and has space/ tables for larger groups / parties to be accommodated. There are various service points around the restaurant and the place seemed to be adequately staffed with a barman and at least 4 waiting staff. We decided to have a cocktail each to cheer ourselves up - my wife had a Rum Punch and I had a non alcoholic Peach Melba 'mocktail' . Both very nice - my wife says the only decent thing we had while were there! We then waited ages for further service for the food order . My wife ordered a Fillet steak whilst I had a steak and ale pie . We watched whilst the staff stood around in groups having chats whilst customers seem to be left unattended. It is not the first time we have felt this in some places as ' Sunday staff' in some places seem to not have a customer focus . The food arrived and my wife had asked for a medium to well done Fillet steak - my description would be ' over done' it was well carbonised and looked very ashen ! My pie was also very dry and overcooked . We asked for some water to help us cope with the meal and it never appeared . We ended up walking to the bar to re-request the water. The groups of waiting staff continued to congregate and when we had enough we tried to catch the eye of the staff . Again we ended up having to get up and walk to the bar to ask for the bill . This Beefeater is in a prime position but seems to lack the welcome and customer care that one would expect . I am afraid that I would recommend it based up our recent visit although it has the potential to be so much better .

We visited here on Wednesday 5th June Around 12 15 for refreshments on a journey on the a41. Lovely friendly reception by a host and welcomed by our server Joanna, both ladies couldn’t do enough for us and were pleasant and efficient. Food was good standard pub grub, the missus had fish and her portion was huge, like a Nile perch … Nothing at all to pick fault with , service first class and we’d go more often if we lived nearer. Thank you falsies for making a long journey pleasant and we recommend here to fellow travellers ..

Called in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, it wasn't busy. The service was good and the staff were friendly. Quite disappointed with our meals. The meals came quite quickly, which was good. My partner had a Burger with an extra pattie and chips (About 4 chunky chips) I had the lasagne and a side of chips (cold chips) Wanted the Sweet potato fries but they don't do them at that branch weirdly. Portion size for both meals was not what I expected for the price of the meals I would say they were more of a children's plate size for an adult priced meal.

Very slow service although staff friendly. We had to ask for dessert menus after a lengthy wait where we felt we were being ignored.

There were not many people in and the service was terrible. We were at the table for almost 2 hours and left without our kids ice cream because it was getting so late. Horrific - avoid

Myself and partner called in for a treat full English breakfast, entrance staff were polite and welcoming, self service so help yourself to as much as you want. Back at our table both breakfasts were barely warm so suggested they turn up the overhead heated lights to keep the food warm, someone came over and offered a replacement meal to which I agreed, I went up to the counter to collect it and was asked from what looked like a cook which part of the breakfast was only warm and replied all of it . I was then told a prod temperature was taken and it was OK. I suggested she try the food to which I was told its fine , you are a nice person arnt you ! I could not believe this and told the staff I wanted to make a complaint against the cooks attitude. A manageress came over and apologised for the staff. Let's put it this way we won't be going back and will spread the word about the experience. Hope Gordon Ramsey doesn't go there.

Server was polite, friendly and efficient. Steak cooked to my requiement. Restaurant was clean with a pleasant welcoming atmosphere.

My husband and I had 2 x fantastic fillet steaks served by a lovley lady called Vicky but all the staff are excellent, we were welcomed and asked if we had any allergies

First time I've been here and it was ok. We tried to find shade for the car (as the dog was staying there) but there wasn't any other than the multiple disabled spaces. When we got in the seating was nice but every time the door opened it let in a cold blast of air that was really quite chilling! The food was nice but surprisingly small! I ordered what looked like a big burger but it was smaller than McDonald's burger and the McDonald's one would have been preferred (especially considering the price) Don't think I'll be back again.

I found Amy, Liz, and Ceri, the Breakfast Crew, Quite pleasant and helpful. My server, Ceri was especially attentive to my needs. As a Tourist Visiting Newport, she helped me start my morning off right with a fresh bowl of Porridge even though it was busy. My Food came to me hot and she was even able to find me some oat milk with out any issues. In all a Great Place to eat breakfast

Booked a table at 5 for an early dinner with several small children. Seating and ordering was fine, but it took half an hour for someone to come back out to say one of the dishes wasn't available. It was then a further 45 minutes before the food started arriving and they even managed to bring the children's food last (one a good five minutes after everyone else). The waiting staff were somewhat apologetic but it would have been hard to come back from this point. It's hard to deal with hungry five year olds. The food was just about alright but the steaks were generally more cooked than was ordered and of course it was pretty cold by the time we actually started eating after all had arrived.

Came for breakfast with the family we were greeted at the door by Lauren and she was very pleasant and polite Jo was also lovely making sure the buffet was topped up for everyone would definitely recommend for breakfast especially if chef Leanne is cooking

We'd had a long week at work and wanted to eat out as a treat. Had a really good meal, and it offered us a lovely chance to spend time as a couple. The meal was one of the best we've had here. My partner is a chef and really enjoyed someone else cooking him a nice meal - massive thank you to Rich and Tony in the kitchen. Excellent job lads!

This is our favourite place to come to eat!! We're always served by Vicky who is so lovely and always makes sure we're looked after. Whenever we see she is on shift we get so excited 🥰 the food is also incredible every time. My favourite is the KitKat Sundae. Thanks as always Vicky x

Rude staff, poor food for the price and excessive waits. 50mins from ordering 5 mains 4 turn up and are slung on the table. While we are trying to ask where the 5th is the rude waitress kept ignoring the question to keep asking us if we wanted sauces. When she did get round to answering the response was "Well it isn't up there " . Another 10 mins later I'm told my meal is being done now and will be out soon, 15 minutes later it turns up with the wrong chips on (I know not major but if it's that late at least it could have been right). No apologies or even acceptance that anything was wrong. Definitely not going back.

We had a meal at the Three Fishes last night for the first time and were extremely disappointed. We were given overcooked fried food, the calamari starter and onion rings were the worst, they were cooked in old oil and they tasted burnt. We were given frozen chips instead of the triple cooked chips as described in the menu . The steaks were not cooked as requested, my son ordered the filet Steak and asked for it to be medium rare when it came it was well done. We asked for this to be rectified and when it came back it was almost raw and very tough. The chicken in the mixed grill was square and looked and tasted processed . The chefs had beards and did not have hair nets on them. Overall a bad experience and we will not be returning.

Becoming a firm favourite for our lunchtime treat. Curry with naan and an apple desert. Thanks to Vicky for another warm welcome and looking after us so well. See you next month

Sat down at table at 18:55… somebody came along at 19:15 and took my order (just me)… had to chase my drink at 19:45 and got it myself… so sat here at 20:25 and still no food…appalling service and a place to avoid !!

The food was great, well presented and didn't take ages to come out between courses. Good range of food on the menu/specials. Vicky our waitress was spot on, very friendly and quick to take our orders.

Food was OK although I only realised at the end that they didn't deliver the burger with the sauce that was mentioned in the menu - thought it was a little boring for a very expensive burger, but I accept I should have raised it at the time - was just eager to eat in all honesty. The apple crumble was very disappointing- I suspect it was a frozen meal reheated - was as if it had been microwaved. Service was average to poor. The chap on the door moaning that I had added a note on my 6.45pm booking that we would be arriving at 7 - he said the reason 7 wasn't available was because there were no tables and would mean a rushed meal in a 1.5 hour meal slot. I then asked if that applied on the night at which point he said no they don't use meal time slots - so what was the point even challenging a customer about a note at the start of a meal - bizarre If you stay in the hotel its convenient otherwise will be better choices nearby where food will arrive as stated in the menu and you don't encounter a member of staff who "tries", note he tried but didn't succeed in giving customers a dressing down because they add a note saying they could arrive a few minutes late

Best place for breakfast everything you could want and all really hot. Staff friendly and helpful a really top morning. Will be back for sure.
