The Terrace Sandwich Bar in Southampton

Just ordered 25 Sandwiches and they were delivered in a timely manner and well packaged. I chose the Deli ex on granary, and its delicious! Bread was absolutely wonderful and soft. Shout out to The Terrace Sandwich bar!

Usually really good but today missed the order notes and was not so nice

This is the best sandwich shop I've ever been to..fresh and delicious.just wish it were open more.

I recently visited The Terrace Sandwich Bar, and while the food and service are both excellent, there's a serious hygiene issue that needs to be addressed. The ladies who work there are friendly and amazing at what they do, but I was shocked to see that proper food handling practices are not being followed. They handle cash and the card machine without washing their hands or wearing gloves before touching the food. I also noticed that no gloves or tongs are being used when preparing the sandwiches. This is something that simply shouldn't happen, especially in a place where food is being prepared and served. It's a real shame because the food is great, but I hope management takes this issue seriously and makes the necessary changes to ensure a clean and safe environment for all customers.

The best sandwiches ever in Southampton.. the bread is so good and crisp but nice and soft and the toppings are nice and fresh.. SO GOOD

Food is always better quality but also a lot cheaper than the nearby cafe. Due to road closure food was a little late but well worth.

Lovely little Sandwich shop just round the corner from where I work, cheap with good meal deals, lovely staff, always busy but good fast service

I've ordered food from this place 5 times now and it's been cancelled every time. Had others at my house recive food so they can do it. Massive waist of time and they always take at least 20 min before cancelling so it always means I don't end up eating.

The driver of one of the food vans almost hit me and a group of my friends while we were at a road crossing and he was speeding

Order the Breakfast baguette and add hash browns it's a game changer when ur starving on a Friday morning. Definitely recommend the mint chicane crispy cake as well. And you can upgrade your sandwich to a meal deal here as well easy decision to make ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good value, tasty food. My go to when ordering a lunch.

Delivery time was 10:50 to 11:10, it said “on it’s way” from 10:40, still hadn’t arrived at 11:10 but then status changed to “delivered, how was your meal?” but I hadn’t received anything. So I called the restaurant (at 11:13) and with a flippant manner I was told that “he’s just left, see you in a minute!” It’s now 11:20 and nothing, even though it says delivered and the restaurant owner said he’s just left AFTER it said it was delivered. Terrible attitude and terrible service!

food is the best about, i think they short staffed today as was ridiculously late. is rubbish when late as lunch break is short at work

Absolutely 5 star place, the best sandwiches in the South, also big variety if vegan option, but very nice tasty bagettes for carnivors too.

My first order with this company. I called to place an order and spoke to a very pleasant young man who was very polite and helpful. I had the tuna and mayo and my partner had the Ruby baguette. They were lovely and tasty . Terrace has a great deal of choice. Excellent service and lovely tasty sandwiches and baguettes. Cant praise them enough and their employees. Will order again at some point

I placed my order at 10.18am. I called a hour later as still no just 2 sandwiches, the chavy guy on the phone said oh no its not been made yet and then left the phone on by accident and I heard him taking the piss out my partners name that was on the order, calling her Mariah Carey and have you got that bloody Careys order and loads of other swearing words. Didn't get sandwiches for over 2 hours and we live literally 5 mins in a car away. When I called to speak to the manager about the swearing and taking the mic out of their customer who's been waiting over 2 hours for sandwiches, the chavy guy Sam answered and said he's the manager and he was saying it so he could remember her order. He was shouting and arguing over the phone and when I put the phone down he rang back back to argue some more. A manager did this!! Wow I'm shocked, he needs some customer service training and definitely management training. He was like talking to someone drunk at a football match. Rude, loud and common with no manners. (the manager aka Sam Smith) one more thing they put the veggie sticker on the meat sandwich. So if you want abuse and a 2 hour wait for a sandwich this is your place to go. Sam is the man to place a order with with a slice of abuse and another slice of geezer.

Great little sandwich shop next to our office

Just had another delivery 01.09.2023. Again really really good food. The breakfast was massive and all the guys i persuaded to for the healthier option on a fat Friday were equally impressed. The white rustic bread again was mentioned as “bangin”. Top food!! Excellent food. I would eat the crusty white rolls in their own. Best bread ive ever had!! Lovely fillings and as a meal deal the value for money is amazing. We did have a late delivery and two items missing but the staff were more than happy to rectify this with fresh replacements and great big slices of cake free for the inconvenience. Hence the five stars. Everyone makes mistakes but its how you handle them that matters. Would deff recommend this place delicious!!

Two issues that stopped me giving it 5 stars. The hot baguette was Luke warm and the bacon had too much fat and gristle. The dog loved it though! It's only the 2nd time ordering from here so I'll give it another go before I decide to forget it.

Food great and was kept warm. It was ready too fast as I left immediately and still arrived after. Can’t complain though, staff friendly and polite, food decent quality and reasonably priced, will use again.

The food was really nice and fresh - better than expected. Was ready when I arrived but I did get told 3 different times about an hour apart and don’t know why… fortunately it was not hot food.

Friendly staff at this takeaway only sandwich shop. We got the meal deal which at this place is a 330ml soda, a package of crisps, and a candy bar, with your sammich of choice. The sandwich was a ham and gruyere cheese with Dijon on a wheat/grainy baguette. The sandwich was ok, perhaps a bit light on ham. Cheese was good. Overall, a solid lunch meal, although it seemed to be priced a bit high for what you got.

Visited the sandwhich bar today and saw a sign outside with polish/Belgium hotdog we haven’t tried in well over a year and I must say it didn’t disappoint 😍 banging customer service very friendly and welcoming to our dog, we sat and ate on the bench out the front enjoying the sun 10/10 from us! We will definitely be back again soon

I often pop in when I'm passing, but today I ordered delivery instead. The food is always good and it was delivered within the original 20 minute slot. Recommended 👍🏻

Please don't take this review of the atmosphere to be bad, I have simply never been in as I order online. Great sandwiches, little late occasionally but I think they're just very busy/popular. I love the sandwiches though!

Food was gorgeous, very hot which surprised me considering the wait time. That was the only slight let down, when we ordered the timing said a 25 minute wait but then changed to over an hour once I placed the order. I had been concerned it would be cold but it was absolutely perfect, I think the timing was an issue on just eats end! Very please with the Terrace and will order again!

Been going here for a long while and the food is good for the price and the staff are all polite people. But for the love of god sort your logistics out. When ordering it feels like a 50/50 chance to actually get your order. I've had at least a dozen orders cancelled. And unfortunately due to my declining health I don't travel much anymore or I would pick the order up myself. It's kind of disappointing, this is a fantastic restaurant but delivery needs improving.

Food was nice but one of my had a bit of runny white on it.

Normally order from this place but a couple of times it's been cancelled and they can't deliver apparently.called them for them to say they can deliver but if I ordered 15 mins earlier that would of been fine as it fits in with them. So I can only order at 10.30 basically? Put me off from ordering them again.!!!!!!!

ordered at 8:30 arrived at 10:20, asked for original redbull and got sugar free, as well as the wrong chocolate bars with no note or nothing to tell us, Person on the phone was very helpful though and offered us a discount for next time.

Very hit and miss, sometimes you won’t get what you ordered, it may turn up two hours early or two hours late. The food is very nice though

Working nearby by today so I went in for lunch and got a meal deal. Fresh made chicken, bacon, Lettuce baguette. Can of drink, chocolate bar and a packet of crisps. £5.80. Friendly service, great food, amazing value. We definitely return if when in the area next.

Awful food !! The breakfast wrap was tasteless and looks disgusting The chicken burger didn’t come in a burger bun it came in a roll and with literary nothing else in it

Every time I’ve order off these they have taken my money then cancel the order after. Literally everytime. Don’t order from here. Popping cafe just down the road has better quality and more reliable!!

The restaurant had an accident in the kitchen so my order was delayed. Considering that they kept me up to date with a phone call and threw in a free muffin as an apology. The food was lovely and the delivery guy couldn’t apologise more. Great service and I will give them top marks on delivery time as I’m sure if they hadn’t of had an incident in the kitchen the food would have been here on time. Asked for brown got white roll . And breakfast was dire Bacon and sausages just tasted like it had been cooked on a radiator, left in tin foil . Hash browns oily and soggy

Delicious food and even those I’ve send it twice already, I’ll say it again - the BEST sandwiches in Southampton. Beautiful bread and crusty rolls, bursting quality branded filling (no skimping, the sandwiches and jacket potatoes are packed full). Always on time and always a friendly delivery face. I regularly use Terrace Sandwich Bar as I’m currently a chemo patient and find myself too exhausted to make up lunch. TSB offers a healthy-ish solution to that problem. I live up two flights of stairs (no lift) and every single day, the staff will trudge up and down those stairs on my behalf, often for such a small order like an individual sandwich or jacket potato. Without complain and always stop for quick check-in convo with me. Can’t recommend the food and service at Terrace Sandwich Bar enough. 100/10!

I love this place, very nice. However, the delivery time is poor most of the time, occasionally it has been quick but normally well over an hour which is the reason I don't order more often. Great little place though with fresh ingredients, I will be ordering again at some point

I ordered a bacon sarny with egg and brown sauce. It was just right. Came out hot and fresh, on a crispy soft baguette. Egg over easy, not overcooked. My wife had hers with ketchup. We at in Queen’s Park opposite. Nothing fancy. Not at all expensive. Just a real nice sandwich to have in the park w/my Truelove. The owner of The Terrace is a friendly interesting bloke. The kid who works with him is too, plus he really knows how to run the grill. This is the kind of neighborhood sandwich dive you want to live near. Beats the chains every time.

Actually said "oh wow" when bitting into the chicken tikka baguette. Surprised the food isn't more expensive compared to everyone else, bread was fresh, ingredients were fresh and plentyful, glad I went with you over subway.

Ordered at 11:40 and order was delivered at 13:20! Called twice to chase. This resulted in food being Luke warm when it got here but had a meeting so couldn’t order something else or go anywhere else.

Food was delivered hot, very tasty bacon, brie and cranberry panini & sausage and bacon baguette. Highly recommend.

My breakfast baguette turned into a brunch baguette as it was 30 mins late. Had sausage, bacon and hash brown baguette. Quality and flavour was underwhelming.

Even in this heat, friendly and on time service. I don’t need to review the food quality again I suppose… but I will! Cans were ice cold and hot food was the perfect hot temperature (and as delicious as always). Thanks TSB!

I order from Terrace Sandwich Bar at least once a week. Sandwiches and baked potatoes are the best you’ll find in Southampton. Delivered at the perfect temperature (always) and with a smile. My only jip? They need to be open 24/7! Thanks all

I ordered a breakfast box and took it across the street to the park on a lovely day. The staff was incredibly nice, happily swapping out mushrooms for more bacon (their suggestion, but who am I to pass up more bacon). Everything cooked fresh, fair prices.

Just tourists passing through in search of a quick lunch. This place was fantastic. Both the chicken tikka masala baguette and the tuna salad were excellent.

I ordered mars bars, they gave me twix. Food came hot even though it is a twenty minute+ drive. Lady Deliverer was very nice.
